Paper Heart
Scotland was in desperate need of a different kind of drug and Knight was the perfect remedy. As soon as they met she knew they were meant to be. Good Read. Scotland had me laughing at her "rough around the edges" yet not your typical "hood chick" style. Scotland didn't hold her words back for anyone, so most of the book I was laughing at her antics.
Knight... Let me just say...I love that name... is just sexy for no reason. Knight is a hood dude that went corporate, but never forgot where he came from. I love how he had a soft spot for Scotland, but still made her prove what she was about.
Scotland and Knight seem to have a lot of chemistry, yet I wanted a closer look into their intimacy... Yes I'm nosy like that......
I want to see it all... I was reading the book like...Let me see..Let me see.. O_O O_O

I really loved Paper Hearts by Keisha Ervin read in one day. It was about Scotland struggle with trying to find herself and looking for love in all the wrong places and find her true love. The book starts of with Scotland single lady working as a Nanny for Frasier Maggie and Paul he couldn't stand Scotland he treated her like she was the help like she wasn't good enough. Then accidentally wreck Lennon Whitmore care she met Knight tall dark handsome sport agent. Scotland was attracted to him on at first sight. He was engage to Bougie Lennon Whitmore who felt everything revolved around spoiled pampered one she felt Scotland was beneath her she wasn't on her level. These two were the perfect couple so I thought Lennon was a sneaky convincing helifer. Scotland and Knight kept running each other in the weird places. She had a on off relationship with Murda he constantly cheated on her with other women he was a true dog. Scotland had a lot bad luck with everything in her life. She had friends Scotland was adopted by Ya Ya Family when she was young she was closet to her they were more like sister she though was such a hateful thing extremely jealous of Scotland was very protective of her she at least pretend to be. La 'Shay and Tootie was like sisters to her. Ya Ya did hair and color and did your hair she was always hating on Scotland relationship. Tootie was the mother of the group she kept them in order she would also tell you about yourself. La' Shay was the life of the party loved the club had three kids always paid. Knight work his way from bottom to top he was the oldest of 5 worked his tail thru school to because successful he didn't want his family want for anything he had humble being he brother resent him for so they grew apart. Scotland and Knight went thru up and downs of being in a relationship and so many obstacles in their way he was question his relationship with Lennon she was trying to get him to change who he was and turn his back on his family. Knight had her heart and She loved him with her everything he convinced her to pursue her writing and being a author that was her dream. Knight passion was to open up a restaurant. He wasn't look for love he thought he had it with Lennon. His birthday and a trip to Miami changed him for the better Scotland let him be himself he was comfortable with her even though they were in different circles they definitely had a lot in common. The weddings was pending Lennon she was having a affair with Paul Frasier happen to be married to Maggie Frasier one of the associated with her father sport agency. Maggie Frasier wife was Scotland employer who treated her like family. Lennon ended up pregnant with Paul Frasier and tried to put it on Knight because Paul won't leave his wife and kids. Scotland kept a secret from Knight about the off and own again relationship with his brother Omari her (aka) as Murda she didn't know they were brothers she already in love with Knight. He lied to her about the Christmas party that Lennon father ask Knight not to invite her that definitely her Murda was trying to prove point about his brother relationship to hurt humiliation her thinking she would come back to him they end up breaking up. She quit her job with Frazier after the blow up at the dinner party with Knight and Lennon. She was depressed and find out that her sister Ya Ya hate her and was messing around with Murda because she wanted him for herself they had a huge fight. Scotland was a fighter no matter the circumstances she kept going even though she was hurting she keep writing and discovering herself being loved respected. She moved to Chicago to get over Knight and her broken heart. Knight realize after discovering Lennon betrayal and practical beating Paul tail he lost the woman he love he wanted her back no matter what she was his love. I really liked a sequel to this book. I loved this book both was humble and never forget where they came from. It has to be a sequel to this book.

Cool
It was a cool little story. I feel like Scotland was a little naive. How she did realize YaYa was jealous of her was beyond me. I liked her and Knight together. Cute story. A tad bit predictable. I was a little thrown off by how many people liked and recommended this book to me. I o lynch really came around to reading it because folks said I should watch the movie. I could've saved myself the time and just watched the movie instead. Even though books tend to be better than the movie I believe they'll be on the same 3 star level.

Good read
After watching the movie based on the book a thousand times I figured it was time to read. I love Scotland and Knight’s relationship, though it didn’t start off right, they had undying love. Lennon was so bougie, it was ridiculous. And she wasn’t any better than anyone else with all the skeletons in her closet. Yaya is terrible, I could tell she was jealous from the gate. La’Shay and Tootie were true friends. And don’t get me started on Murda. Overall good read. I love the book just as much as the movie.

Emotional
Paper Heart had me in feeling all types of emotions. Every time Scotland’s heart broke, I could literally feel mine breaking as well. Keisha, you have always been one of my top fave authors and this book explains why. I’m so glad Scotland’s character grew, because I could not take her naivety. She was strong, but naive. When she finally liberated herself and got out of her own way. She did everything that she never thought she would.

I only wish there was more

I loved this book, awesome storytelling. I love how descriptive and realistic everything was. My only complaint is the story wrapped up too quickly. I wanted more about them making up and their future. I wanted to know about his new career and see how much Scotland grown. But hey I guess that's how you know the book is good cause you're sad when you finish it.

Can’t wait for the Film Version
10’s across the board!!! This book was so amazing and I cannot wait to see this book come to life. I loved Scotland and Knight’s undeniable chemistry. They were definitely meant to be. Everyone that did them wrong got their karma and I am so here for it!!!

Great book
I absolutely love this book and what’s crazy is I watched the movie three times back to back because it was so good and I so happened to see the book that was posted on the movie and decided to try my luck and finding the book and here I am. I love it as much as I love the movie.

I love me some Keisha Ervin! Normally I don’t like third person but this author has a way of writing a book that will have you diving in her catalog regardless! This love story was so magnetic and drew you in from page one. You can’t help how the circle of love works even when you try to stop it!

This was like watching a movie!!

A paper heart is easily torn! This book was definitely a good example of that! I am so glad it was a standalone because I didn't want to have to wait for another book! I do recommend this read!

Palpitating

You never win when you play dirty
Keisha had me all in my feelings with this one. I knew Ya Ya was an old hating ass bitch from the jump. I was ready to stomp a mud hole in her ass too! Lol I literally couldn’t put this book down and finished it in hours. Great job!

Loved it!
It ended way too soon! I wanted more. Definitely about why YaYa wanted someone who didn’t want her back. She seemed talented and had a stable upbringing.I also wanted more on Scotland post the breakup but it was still an amazing read.
