I quite enjoyed the story but there were confusing errors which should have been noticed during proof-reading. At times, Sophia was called Miss Everly but that would change to Lady Everly and then back to Miss Everly. Charlotte changed from Miss Crowther to Lady Crowther and back again. The spelling of the name Nightvale, changed to Nightvale. It made it difficult to follow the story at times.
Following a dare, from her friend, Charlotte, Sophia Everly kissed Tristan, Duke of Nightvale. This led to their marriage, to protect their reputations. Sophia already had a reputation as someone who was accident-prone or willing to get up to mischief. Would Tristan be able to control her recklessness? Although the marriage was a marriage of convenience, feelings began to develop between Tristan and Sophia. However, someone was printing malicious gossip and this was very damaging to their relationship. Who was so determined to ruin them? I felt the ending was very weak. What action was taken against the person responsible for the malicious reports?
