A stew is a sum of its parts. The Michigan Authors Syndicate is proud to present Bald Eagle Stew, a tasty but somewhat irreverent conglomeration of fatty fiction and fresh poetry in a light broth of Americana, with a dash of satire and peppery fireworks. God Bless 'Merica.
An eclectic mix of short stories and poetry (actually, I guess there's only one poem). Some of it is very good (Travis Thrasher's creepy and very disturbing "A Million, Trillion Years" is by far my favorite -- and worth 5 Stars on its own, but Rachel Morrell, Sam Agie, Krista Bur, and featured young author Theresa De Benedetti all had works that I enjoyed). Several of the stories even made me laugh out loud, but, while there really isn't a bad story in the book, a few didn't feel as fully developed as they could have been.
There are excerpts of other works by the authors in the back of the book, a couple that are still listed as "forthcoming" on the Michigan Authors Syndicate. I enjoy reading works by new authors and hope to see more from this group.
