Read this for African book group. Set in Nigeria and Niger. A novel about an Irish woman who was a university lecturer and got involved with Tuaregs living there, displaced from their nomadic life in the desert. Learned a little about Tuareg culture, but sometimes the book felt like a harlequin romance novel. I was frustrated by the central character, Kate and her obsessive affair with a married Tuareg man. I think the book was mis-named.
