I finished this a couple years ago. Wasn't easy... it's definitely a textbook, and while there's tons of interesting info in here, not much applies to my job so I doubt I'll ever use this knowledge.

Hands down the best book for those who want in-depth understanding of the Analysis Services BISM Tabular Model. The authors have done a great job of researching, understanding, and explaining how the Tabular Model works and how to work with it. Their coverage is comprehensive:

-Setting up the development environment
-Loading data
-DAX (especially good coverage here)
-Querying
-Direct query mode
-Working with relationships, hierarchies
-Power View and PowerPivot
-Security
-Programmatic access to tabular models
-Processing approaches
-Optimizing for performance and memory footprint
-Monitoring

If you work with the Analysis Services Tabular Model in any degree of depth this book is a must have.
