Continue the journey with Season 3 of the blockbuster Alien Invasion series; the breakout sci-fi series with over 1000 5-star reviews.

HUMANITY ISN'T ALL THEY LEFT BEHIND...

Two years later, the world lives in fragile peace. But a clandestine search has begun … and a clock has started ticking.

Two years after first contact, Astral forces have established their fragile kingdom around the globe. Motherships occupy the cities. Shuttles patrol the lawless outlands. The pacifist class of Astrals known as Titans assist humans in running their alien empire, while bloodthirsty Reptar peacekeepers ensure that order is kept. And unseen in the ships above, a third class of visitor calls the shots -- the unseen Divinity, worshipped and feared by citizens in equal measure.

Meyer Dempsey sits on his plinth as Viceroy of Heaven's Veil, on the old site of Vail, Colorado. As with other Viceroys in the eight other world capitals, humanity's remains revere Meyer almost as a god.

But below the surface, both colonies and outlands have begun to crumble with unrest.

Until now, the rebellion has been quiet. Now, desperation bubbles as they learn the Astrals have begun digging for an ancient device buried beneath the glowing blue Apex at Heaven's Veil.

But twin truths of the forthcoming alien war (or a possible alien apocalypse) have dawned at Benjamin Bannister's facility in Moab, sending plans into

The Astrals have lost what they hoped to uncover.

And humanity's only chance is to find it first.

★★★★★ "This book will have you sitting on the edge constantly, wanting to know what's going to happen next." -- Vicki W.

★★★★★ "Okay I am hooked. Got first book in series free. I bought 2 and 3. Now I am getting the rest of the series." -- kj

★★★★★ "Colonization is the third book in the Alien Invasion Series, and it just keeps getting better and better... This book is full of twists and page turning action. The ending will leave you wanting more and I can’t wait to get started with Annihilation." -- Christine

This relentless, page-turning tale of colonization and alien empire is the third in the completed Alien Invasion series.

I read the first fifty or so pages and I just couldn't torment myself anymore. This series went from bad to worse. When I started this series I was kind of desperate to find a good alien invasion series but sadly this isn't it and now I've lost interest in alien invasion theme for now. Hopefully, in the future I can find something like this but better and with smart characters unlike these morons who were bumbling around in the dark :/

The third book in the Invasion series, Colonization takes a sharp left turn from where the previous 2 books had left off. A bit of a time jump shows the world has changed significantly in light of the Astral alien invasion. Some of our familiar characters are living in the new alien-led society. Some of the characters are on the outside, actively opposing the new alien regime.
The dichotomy of these two societies was the most intriguing part of the story for me. The introduction of a band of rebels out in the badlands, led by Nathan Andreus and Cameron's father Benjamin, felt almost 'Star Wars rebels vs empire' kind of thing, which was neat. The use of ancient astronaut theories is also quite interesting, and leads to some cool ideas later in the book.
Where the book dragged on for a bit though was with the interpersonal relationships between the characters, and the drawn out travelling back and forth where each character is.
I for one am very tired of Lila's story. It really needs to liven up, and the whole triangle between her and Christopher and Raj has gotten old. But at least some fun things happen to Raj later in the story.
A slight revelation at the end was a cool factor to throw in, and the epilogue leaves you wondering what's going to happen next. Due to these I'll keep reading the next book.

I was given an advance copy of this third book in the series for review purposes.

This book includes lots of action, some heavy-duty violence and some truly interesting reveals that will answer some important questions and pose even more.

The Astrals (the alien villains) can't find something important they left on earth last time they were here. Because they have difficulty understanding modern humans, and that's who moved their cheese, they have to get creative to figure out where the object has been hidden - and they're getting desperate.

On the other side of things, humanity may have finally found a way to fight back, if they can get to the mysterious object first.

The suspense, duplicity of some characters, and the description of the deadly aliens (which seem to resemble the Leviathans fro the TV show Supernatural), makes for a compelling read, though readers will have to wait for the next book learn the answers to the additional questions brought on by this latest installment in the story. Fans of this series won't be disappointed!

Ok that's quite enough, another step down in the writing quality, and step up in the silliness. I'm out of Cheetos, the radio says another North Korean missle is in route. I'm exiting the bunker now to avoid reading the last two in the series.

Sean Platt's Colonization, the third entry in the Alien Invasion series, lands with a bit of a thud - neither terrible nor truly memorable. It's the kind of sci-fi novel that keeps you moderately engaged without ever really breaking new ground in the alien invasion genre.

The narrative trudges along with a sense of familiarity that borders on predictability. While there are moments of genuine intrigue, the book often feels like it's going through the motions. Platt has a workmanlike approach to storytelling here - competent, but lacking the spark that might elevate it from just okay to truly compelling.

For fans of the series, there's enough continuity to keep you interested. For newcomers, it might feel like a paint-by-numbers alien invasion story. The characters exist more as plot vehicles than fully realized individuals, and the alien threat, while present, never quite reaches the level of true menace that could make the story truly gripping.

It's a three-star read in the truest sense - acceptable, somewhat entertaining, but ultimately forgettable. If you're deep into the series, you'll probably want to continue. If you're looking for groundbreaking sci-fi, you might want to look elsewhere.

HOLY SMOKES! The third book in the Alien Invasion series is the best so far! It has been two years since the end of "Contact" and we pick up following along as the world has seemingly normalized, at least it seems this way.

Things aren't quite what they seem though! There is a human resistance fighting behind the scenes and up front and the Dempsey Family finds themselves right in the middle of a conflict that they do not realize is as big as it really is!

Time is running out, and the human resistance...scientists...know that they need to move quickly, and find a way to go about their search for a hidden...something...before the alien invaders find it!

There is an intensity that starts early in the book and does not end! I found myself annoyed with certain characters that I had liked in previous books, and found myself questioning my dislike of others as this story played out! By the end, I was absolutely awestruck by the way that the story headed!

Get ready for an intense story, and definitely the best of the first three books! I cannot wait to see what the next book has in store for us!

This book starts with a lame skip in the story between book #2 and book #3 without any explanation of what happened in between. Seems like a cop out and didn't make the story more interesting. This entry in the series was the best so far, with some good plot twists, aliens (finally!), and suspense. Still, the characters are mainly a really messed up family who act in unpredictable ways, sometimes supporting, sometimes backstabbing. The inconstancies make them unbelievable. I thought this was a trilogy, and when book 3 was over and I realized there were more books, I was actually disappointed as I really don't want to read any more about these people! But I probably will just to see what happens...

This is the third book in the series, and a very poor read. I have major issues with the behavior of the primary characters. If Meyer? Was in fact as much a paranoid as indicated in the books, he would have prepared his wives and children to be able to better handle firearms. He would have also protected the entry was to make it lethal for any one entering. I understand why when the individuals breaking into the shelter ended up being the good guys, but still had major problems with the activities. I have moved on to other books, and may not finish this series because of the poor quality of the 3 books reas so far.

The first book of this series was interesting, the second was slightly less interesting, and this third installment feels very dull.

The fact that there are two more books in this series is a shame. I feel like these guys were on to something originally but now it feels like they are intentionally drawing this story out.

I'm not actually finished with this book. I got halfway through and that took just about forever. I keep putting it aside to read other books. This book just isn't holding my interest, so I can't really recommend it. I want to know what happens -I think - so maybe I will get back to it. Eventually.

I didn't finish this. I was bored and couldn't keep up with the plot. They skipped the best part of an alien invasion...THE INVASION!!! Won't be buying anymore of this series.

So devastated that I had to rate this book so low. Maybe closer to a 2.5 ⭐️ but either way it was a huge let down. I loved the first 2 books- rating them 4.5 and 4 respectively. But this book just took a turn for the worse. After 2 listening hours, I was beyond confused of where this book was starting- and why it slipped ahead so much. I kept double checking to see if I accidentally skipped ahead a book in the series. But no.
Overall, the book seemed to leave out a ton of necessary details and what would have been great plot line development. Next, it seemed to introduce a ton of unnecessary character names with no actual character development. Then the book continued to take some ridiculous turns and developments that made me roll my eyes over and over again. Lastly- i unfortunately finally agree with many others that the author makes all of the female characters annoying and intolerable.
Big let down. I hope the next book redeems the series but I hear it continues to get worse

Oh my!! who to trust??

Clara warned us in chapter 2 “Deception “ and this book is full of it. Colonization is the third book in the Alien Invasion Series, and it just keeps getting better and better. It has been 2 years since the events of Contact happened. Cameron is in Moab with Benjamin and Charlie and Piper is in Vail with the Dempsey’s, Christopher, Terrance, Raj, and Heather. During those 2 years Meyer has built a nice city for his family but the problem is there is an alien mothership hovering above and aliens patrol the streets. This book is full of twists and page turning action. The ending will leave you wanting more and I can’t wait to get started with Annihilation.

This series is getting better. Spoilers:New plot twists with the humans against the aliens. A group in Utah, a rogue band of outlaws are holding their own against the invaders. The viceroy is loosing the loyalty of his own family, who see him a traitor. He seems to be taken over by the aliens who are using his human face to keep people quiet. The aliens have been here before and are back. Speculation is that they intend to destroy the planet, but are searching for something. There are 8 places around the globe that are hubs for the alien presence for their viceroys. The location in Vail appears to be of great importance. Lingering question is why the baby has advanced beyond her two years.

Aliens not quite comprehending humanity and vice versa, check. Underground storage chambers, check. Knights Templars, Masons, Mormons and other conspiracy agents, check. Thor's Hammer, check. And on to Annihilation...

I am enjoying this series. I have one minor nitpicking point though. It did not ruin the story or anything but they were talking about not wanting to take a vehicle because you could get boxed in and said that Heather knew this because of when they got boxed in while in the RV in Chicago. She was not there, she was in Nevada or on her way to the house at that point.

The saga continues...

Great story! The alien invasion continues as the aliens seek remnants from their last visit to Earth - although for what purpose, no one is certain. However, it isn't likely to be a good thing for humankind.

A little slower with a surprise ending.

This book was a little slower than the previous two but I think it was essential to build a baseline for the next phase of the story.
