And some know exactly how to make adults believe them.
When child psychologist Christina Hall meets seven-year-old Cecilia Moren, she expects to uncover the truth behind a troubled family.
Instead, she finds a charming little girl with a bright smile, perfect manners, and a disturbing reputation.
Cecilia’s mother insists her daughter is dangerous.
Christina is certain she's wrong.
But as the sessions continue, strange inconsistencies begin to emerge. Bruises appear. Stories don't add up. A school may not exist. And the deeper Christina digs, the more she realizes that someone is lying.
The question is who.
A chilling psychological thriller novella about manipulation, deception, and the terrifying possibility that evil can wear the face of a perfect child.
Perfect for readers of Freida McFadden, Daniel Hurst, and Keri Beevis.
Slowly getting into psychological thrillers and this one was really good. This was a new author for me and I really liked her writing style. The plot had me hooked and every time I thought I had everything figured out I ended up being wrong, so it kept me guessing the whole time. My only complaint is that there were a few loose ends at the end that I wish had been wrapped up a little better, but overall I really enjoyed it
Although it was well written the story didn't make sense, which was a shame as it was an interesting idea. Christina the therapist was a bit weird, in fact all the characters were odd.
No way this ending, im hoping zina brings a second out in this book because id like to know what happens next after yhe man visits at the end. I know who visits but I want the story to carry on
