Traveling with the circus from town to town as a Tarot card reader, Daisy Hopkin wants nothing more than to find her father. Never truly fitting into the circus troupe, she longs for a family of her own and a normal, quiet life.
Jesse Gunn’s farmer friends convince him to have his fortune told, but he never expected the gypsy fortuneteller with the fake accent to be so lovely, so enticing. Intrigued, he asks her to dinner, but Daisy has an agenda, thinking his father is also her own. Stunned by the accusation, Jesse doubts this claim. Daisy couldn’t possibly be his sister, or could she?
After a fire burns the big top tent to the ground, Daisy and another fortuneteller, Olga, are blamed for it and accused of witchcraft. No longer able to trust those around her, Daisy flees for the safety of Jesse’s arms, but the mysteries of her past need to be dealt with. Who is her father, and what other secrets did her mother hide?

Yes author weaved a wonderful story of danger, intrigue, mystery and love. The circus was an entertaining and interesting setting for this tale of love. A job well done, kept me reading clear through to the end. I look forward to more from this author
This young woman, Daisy, has been raised on the outskirts of a traveling circus...with her mother as a gypsy fortune teller act. After her mother died, she took up the act herself in order to survive. Her best friend is in the family that does acrobatics, and they both dream of a home with a husband and children and never having to travel.
Daisy is trying to find her father...and when she believes she has a lead, she finds herself very attracted to the man who could be her half-brother! They do not like that idea, and he is certain that it is not so.
This story is a HEA, thank heaven. So with all the possible traumatic outcomes of everything that happens in this story, it was with great relief that it does, indeed, turn out well.
I don't enjoy reading suspense when I'm trying to fall asleep. This book is stress free. A couple of things about Fay was repetitive. It felt she was trying to stretch her book a few pages extra. A fast read. Nice, moral. Ill read more of her books.
Interesting story line with a few unexpected twists. Good characters. Learned a few new things about circus life and how people can either overcome or give in tragedies.
