yeah.....

i get that it is supposed to be "taboo" but reiterating the relationship between characters should NOT occur 10 times per page per story. 100 instances of the word "stepson" used in the 11 page story,which also read like a run-on sentence. did a word count on story 2 (100 instances of the word "stepdad" in that 11 page story) and decided 11 pages of story 1 were enough for me. DNF. my opinion only. feel free to read and form your own. but don't say i didn't warn you.

Well. Every character is a terrible person. They start of saying that the other person is disgusting and disturbing then the go and have sexy with them. Each person is cheating their spouse and the other one of their parents. The last one is so disgusting I almost didn’t finish. Three quite enjoyable modern short stories

Overall I enjoyed these short stories although the writer is obviously confused about familial relationships after divorce and doesn't realise that daughters remain daughters and their fathers do not become stepfathers

I really hope this book is intended to be a satire.

The Taboo title hints at what is inside. There are three stories and I only read the first one. It starts off with the usual disclaimers, #1 everyone in the story is over 18, and #2 none of the characters are blood relatives. OK here we go.

I was on the first page when I got the joke. Disclaimer #2 ("step"), appears a total of 102 times over the eight pages. Really, the author beats you over the head with it. I can't tell where the author's attempt at erotica ends and when her attempt to be funny began.

Zero stars.
