Roy Gilbertsen, an average American man, isn't sleeping so well these days. Nightmares of malignant nature torment his mind after dark, and visions of his dead wife haunt his many thoughts, but whenever he awakens from these macabre drams of meaningless intent, his wife, Angela, is alive and well. And then there's his daughter, Hannah, who is sweet and loving in every way that a little girl should be, except for one thing. She's been acting differently than she used to, saying disturbing things, and doing things that concerns the sane mind of her father. Things begin happening around the house that Roy doesn't understand, and vision of his dead wife leak from dream into the reality around him, blurring the edge of what is real and what is not, and releasing a darkness over he and his daughter. That darkness is growing off of their fear of it, and the line between dream and reality further tighten as Roy begins to descend deeper into that darkness. Soon, time is running out, and a terrible truth is on the horizon as Roy's inner voice takes up one of its own, demanding power over Roy and his thoughts. Paranoia instigates madness, and madness draws him ever deeper toward insanity. Can Roy stop the chaos revolving around him before the darkness devours all that he knows? Or will time run out before Roy can find the answers?
