Angela Addams is an author of many naughty things. She believes that the written word is an amazing tool for crafting the most erotic of scenarios and likes telling stories about normal people getting down and dirty and falling in love. Enthralled by the paranormal at an early age, Angela also spends a lot of her time thinking up new story ideas that involve supernatural creatures in everyday situations.

She is an avid tattoo collector, a total book hoarder, and loves anything covered in chocolate…except for bugs.

She lives in Ontario, Canada in an old, creaky house, with her husband, children and four moody cats.

I am guilty! I loved the cover and then I read the blurb! Hot wolfshifter and leader of a rock band-oh yeah I'm in!

Mayhem is a quick read that centers on the lead singer of the band Riot, named Mayhem a wolfshifter, and a human named Hannah. It's book five in Angela Addams paranormal Order of the Wolf series. I have not read the other books in the series but I never felt lost while reading this, so I considered it a standalone.

Mayhem is a rockstar and is so tired of the groupie scene. He just wants something real-a mate like his band members have. One night he meets Hannah and knows she's his mate. He's hot and so sexy, but also a bit scary. After an amazing kiss, she finds she's under his spell too. Hannah doesn't believe he wants her plain and forgettable self-not when he can have whomever he wants whenever he wants. Mayhem sets out to make Hannah believe he's the one for her and slowly introduce her into his "other" side.

Things happen very quickly in this story. I understand the mating draw and why Mayhem professes his undying love so quickly. But it was very fast. Hannah is overwhelmed. Understandably so. She never has a chance to learn about Mayhem and the band until she's kidnapped by his enemy. She unfortunately is enlightened by them instead of by Mayhem himself. Hannah also learns facts about herself that puts some things into perspective for her.

I like paranormal reads more and more and am glad to read some that have some unique characteristics. The idea that Mayhem's pack doesn't have the ability to shift when they want because they are too young is different and outside the norm. I really liked that. It presented a certain problem that has to be dealt with on a daily basis for these guys. We get glimpses of all the band members with their mates and I liked them enough to go back and want to read their stories too!

I have to start by saying if I was to properly judge a book by its cover, I wouldn't buy this. I just ..... I can't see the selling point in that cover, do readers actually like that sort of stuff? Am I abnormal in my dislike of this type of cover? Anyway, the cover does not a book make so on with what I think of the actual book.

This is long awaited for any fans of Order of the Wolf that may have a crush on Mayhem (personally, I'm a Dyami fan), as the alpha and lead in the band he was due a big story. Sadly, the actual storyline doesn't have the "Wow" factor I might have expected for Mayhem. The heroine is semi-likeable but I wasn't hugely impressed by her.

I like this series but the stories seem to be on and off for me. I find, I'll like one but maybe not the next or I'll be "meh" about one and excited about the next.

I admit the title and cover of the book have certainly done their job and caught my attention, when I picked up this book.
"Mayhem" is a paranormal romance, set between werewolves and humans and it's the fifth book in the series "The Order of the Wolf" by Angela Addams.
It's a nice and quick book to read because of its length, and very hot, thanks to Mayhem the male protagonist.
I'm in love with shapeshifters, but in this case, I loved also the fact that Mayhem is a rockstar, leader of the Riot. He's dark and sexy at the same time, my kind of guy!
Between Hannah and Mayhem all happens quickly, perhaps too much, and when his enemies kidnap Hannah, the two spend very little time together and maybe this is one of the things I liked less in the story.
Hannah is introduced into the reality of the world of Mayhem by his foe, which also reveals her the truth about her role in the world of werewolves. Hannah is a warrior, not a simple human, descended from a race of Amazons who are predestined to be the slayers and huntresses of werewolves, if they become part of the Order, or they choose to be mates of the werewolves.
I really liked Ms Addams' idea and it is needless to say that my choice is to stand for werewolves.
Another thing that I liked about Mayhem and his pack is that they're immortals are powerful, but and they can't shapeshift at will during the day, they're still too young to control their transformation, and this is something quite unusual.
I really loved the bonding and attachment between Raven and his alpha, and I'm curious to read the previous books in this series.
I found Hannah maybe a little weak at the beginning as a character, but she is overwhelmed by so many things, and the book is really short.
Thanks to Nergalley and Sahmain Publishing for the kind preview.

Angela Addams brings us Mayhem in her latest book in the Order of the Wolf Series. In some ways I found Mayhem to be a disappointment. I really enjoyed Wolfslayer and found Spell Weaver to be fun. But it seems like the series has gone down in impact. Not that Mayhem was a bad book it just didn't have that WOW factor that Wolfslayer and Spell Weaver had.

Mayhem is not the plot line rather the name of the hero, Pack leader. He's always had final say on all things pack and has watched his packmates fall. Because he was changed not born a werewolf and because each of his packmates were as well, Mayhem is unaware of a lot of their society. He's had to learn as he goes. Which of course is rather hard when you are being chased by those who want to destroy you. To discover that the one woman who would be your mate is also the mate of your enemy is harsh but that is what the pack has learned and Mayhem is trying to lead them both in life and love. Only it's hard to do when you stand alone. When the one woman destined for you hasn't been found yet.

Hannah is a lowly editor at a rock magazine. She's rather shy but quite brilliant and has been the force behind several articles. But she's strictly behind the scenes. But when she scores backstage passes she's suddenly front and center. And it seems Mayhem is more than interested. With everything happening so fast it's hard for good girl Hannah to believe that Mayhem could possibly want her and is victim to some serious misunderstandings.

As Mayhem and Hannah find their way to each other Mayhem discovers that there is so much to his culture that he is unaware of and maybe he needs to encourage his small pack to integrate into the culture as a whole. To learn more about themselves.

Of course it can never be simple and the Order is after her, they want her to choose their man and fight for "good". So far, I have yet to meet a "good" member of the order. They are fanatics at best, total megalomaniacs bent on genocide at best. An epic battle is on hand and each pack member must take their stand.

It has all the potential for greatness but just falls short. Like I said it's a good book but didn't grab me but it is well worth the read.

This was a quick, fun read for me. I didn't realize that it was book 5 in the Order of the Wolf series until after I started reading it but I had no problem following along. Mayhem is the lead singer of the rock band Riot. He has been watching his friends find their mates one by one and has decided that he is sick of groupies, he wants what his friends have with their mates. Little does he know his mate is in the next room.

Hannah is a low level editor at a rock magazine. She and her cousin are at an after party with the band and after one look at Mayhem she's smitten. The only thing is she doesn't believe that he could ever be attracted to her. Mayhem instantly realizes that she is his mate and goes after her. He knows he's on a time limit because the Hunters will be after her. I loved the intensity of Mayhem! He was sex on a stick and I loved that despite his possessiveness he was still patient with Hannah as she tried to sort through her feelings after learning about the paranormal world.

Things move really fast between Hannah and Mayhem which happens in fated mates story lines but at times it seemed a little too fast for my tastes. But other than that I really enjoyed the world that the author has created. As relatively young werewolves, Mayhem and his pack are unable to control their shifts and are locked in their wolf form during the daylight hours. I liked that unique twist to the story. I will definitely be picking up the previous books in the series!

I so loved this growly, scorching hot, possessive rockstar shifter. Mayhem. He was over living the life with groupies. He wanted more and was shocked and awed to find his mate when he least expected it. Hannah won tickets to a concert through work and ended up with so much more meeting Mayhem. Little did she know that not only was she to find out more about him, but also about herself in the process. I loved that this was so insta-love which is appropriate for mates, but not so much for someone who has no idea of this magical other world that she's drawn into. I wanted more of them by the time I finished and can't wait to read more.

I give Mayhem 4 hearts!

He’s imposing, he’s the Alpha, and he’s the closest thing to perfection that any woman has ever seen.

But Mayhem has tired of the carousel of Rock groupies vying for bragging rights after spending a night in his bed and wants nothing more than a woman to call his forever.

From across a crowded room may sound cliché, but when Mayhem spies the beautiful redhead he knows beyond a doubt that her destiny will be forever entwined in his; well that’s his plan.

Mayhem is an explosive story of danger, deception and a reality that one insecure woman would never have believed possible. Fabulous characters and a fast-paced plot will keep readers engrossed till the end.

Who would you choose if you were torn between your Hunter (male wolf-slayer, true match to Huntress) and your possible werewolf mate? Hannah’s (Huntress, rock magazine editor) life is in chaos and feels it must be all a very bad dream. Will she come to grips with reality in time?

Overall a good story. I was...not sure how to take much of the events. Dubious consent to many things, women in particular not thinking very well, Maybe I give folks too much credit. A solid book though.

Each time I read the latest book from this series, I think it's my new favorite. Mayhem is fast-paced action with sizzling characters. I couldn't put it down.
