I was very blessed by the centrality of the simple Gospel in Earthman’s poetry. Every poem lands at Christ the creator, the incarnate, the lamb, the redeemer. And that is where I need to be.
I loved this short collection. The movement between lament, praise, and glory was wonderful, and I loved the exploration of the human condition on this earth.
I definitely recommend this collection to anyone who loves Jesus and loves poetry.
Some standout poems are: The Lamb for Sinners Slain In Seeing a Bird Until the Dawning Light
Beautifully written, biblically strong, theologically rich, and openly vulnerable. Amazing poetry book by my friend Alison Earthman. 10 out of 10 recommend.
