Devon Wilder wants to leave the scandal involving his name behind and focus on the race for the CEO title. Yet, his sexy assistant is an unexpected and dangerous liability—especially after he suspects she could be the one stealing money from the company.
Elena Moretti’s libido was comatose until Devon strode into her life. Ever since the end of a troubled marriage, she never wanted any man the way she does him. Unfortunately for her, Devon is also the man she’s been hired to spy on and find evidence to prove he’s embezzling and dragging Wilder & Co.’s name through the mud.
As the hunt for the real thief advances, they need to figure out if they’ll cling to old fears or throw themselves at the new, tempting opportunities—and each other.
USA TODAY Bestselling author Carmen Falcone favors writing high-stakes, addictive romance with intense chemistry that leaps off the page. Her heroines are quirky and relatable, with just a touch of snark. And her heroes are impossibly hot, oftentimes stubborn and bossy, and will give you that delicious rush of adrenaline.
She’s been publishing for for 15 years, with over 80 books available in various formats, some of which have been translated to multiple languages.
She lives in Texas with her husband, kids, and three dogs.
Elena Moretti is hiding a big fat secret from her hot boss at Wilder and Co, she is a friend of his half brother and has been hired to work as his assistant and find out anything she can to discredit him in the race between the brothers to the coveted CEO position. Money has gone missing and whoever finds the culprit captures the crown!
Devon is a complicated guy. After suffering a childhood filled with pain and drug fuelled neglect by his mother and his sperm donor (what he calls his dad) he has major trust issues. Reeling after a kiss and tell by his ex-girlfriend, detailing the openness of their relationship, he is doing his best to overcome his sexploits and be taken seriously as a contender for the CEO position. He has always been sidelined by his half brother but it wasn't his fault that their father couldn't keep it in his pants and he was dumped at their home when he was a teenager.
He is desperate to not become the philandering thief his father was and he will hunt down this thief and expose him...or her at any cost. But he never figured on having to deal with his frustratingly sexy assistant along the way!
No spoliers from me but this is more romantic suspense than contemporary sexy romance, which I loved. As with any great read each of the main characters has a flaw or personal issue which they need to work on to have their HEA. Let me just say I share Devon's and also go to my happy place when I need to!!! Carmen dealt with Elena back story with compassion and didn't glorify the abuse she had endured. Whilst Elena faces her past she never crumbles and is a stronger person at the end than she credits herself with being.
Accidentally Seduced is a quick, fast paced read, with some never-saw-it-coming moments as the thief is exposed!!! Snappy writing as ever from Ms Falcone and the settings all feel real to the reader as you immerse yourself in her world!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review
Accidentally Seduced is the third book in Carmen Falcone’s The Naked Truth series. I’ve read all three books in the series and I have to say this was my favorite so far. I was immediately taken in by the story and couldn’t wait to see who was behind the embezzlement.
Devon Wilder is doing everything is his power to become CEO of his family’s company and is fighting tooth and nail with his half-brother. Unfortunately, he’s also dealing with a scandal in his past.
Elena Moretti is his unsuspecting assistant. She’s been hired by his half-brother to bring down Devan. As Devon works to uncover the thief, he and Elena enter into a hot relationship.
As everyone tries to uncover who the thief is, Ms. Falcone, weaves a very interesting plot. I was totally surprised who was behind the plot to ruin the company. And I was pleasantly surprised with who ended up becoming CEO.
This was a fantastic book that I highly recommend. I’d like to disclose that I received an advance copy of Accidentally Seduced in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Accidentally Seduced is a sensual yet sexy read that will tease the majority of your senses. To begin with, the cover teases your sight…and oh, what a sight. Seriously, drooling at the cover…must buy a print copy! The characters, more specifically Devon, make me want to jump into the book and touch him all over. The storyline will tease your mind, as you try to figure out who’s been stealing money from the company and I’m not even going to mention taste, but don’t worry Elena and Devon have that covered.
Elena is hired on as Devon’s assistant to watch his every move. His half-brother, Matthew, needs all the ammunition he can get, in order to gain the position of CEO. As Elena spies on Devon, the guilt becomes too much for her to handle as she realizes, Devon is clean of any wrongdoing. The only thing he is guilty of is enjoying sex and he’s definitely not apologizing for that.
Elena and Devon both have pasts and they both have ghosts that they need to overcome. As they work together to find out who stole from the company, their attraction for each other becomes too much to fight and they end up mixing work with play.
And OMG the twist towards the end…..blew me away. My jaw literally dropped and that doesn’t ever happen. But Carmen Falcone got the drop on me. I would have NEVER guessed that outcome. It was PERFECT!
Accidentally Seduced is book 3 in the Naked Truth Series and each book seems to get better and better. For me, this is my favorite of the series….so far! Can’t wait to find out what this author has planned for the next book.
Elena Moretti has been hired to work as an assistant to Devon Wilder, basically to spy on him. Someone is stealing money from Wilder & Co., and the current CEO will be resigning shortly, and everything must be in order. Both Devon and his brother are in the race for CEO, and Devon suspects Elena might be involved in the thefts, unless it’s his own brother!
Carmen Falcone does it again! ACCIDENTALLY SEDUCED is more of a romantic suspense than we’re used from Ms. Falcone, but she hasn’t lost her magic! There are some fabulously ingenious touches in this book, particularly Devon’s personal issue, and I couldn’t wait to see how it would figure in the grand scheme of things.
ACCIDENTALLY SEDUCED is fast-paced, very sexy but very sweet at the same time. Both Elena and Devon have their little quirks, they work very well together and that I liked the most is that Ms. Falcone doesn’t fall prey to the miscommunication and misunderstandings that are all too common with this type of story. There was nothing convoluted about how things worked regarding the thief, and there were quite a few surprises as well. The story flows smoothly and the romance feels real, and I love Ms. Falcone’s young, quirky voice. ACCIDENTALLY SEDUCED is a quick, fun story, with great characters and ingenious plot twists!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Accidentally Seduced is the latest hot romance from Carmen Falcone and it sizzles so much I had burn marks on my fingers.
The setting is the corporate world of Denver where we find Devon drooling over the CEO seat that his step mother was about to vacate. But that's not the only thing he's drooling over. His assistant Elena with her sexy librarian look had been tempting him to go over to the dark side. He is trying so hard to resist.
Unbeknownst to Devon, Elena was hired by his brother to spy on him. She has her own demons to escape from. She is smart, competent, sassy and definitely ready to get her freak on.
Conflicts of interest + lust + dark family secrets + balloons (trust me) = ONE HOT SEXY ROMANCE.
Carmen Falcone keeps you flipping the pages with fully-realized characters who make you invested in their goals and dreams. This is definitely a keeper.
Embroiled in corporate espionage, Elena finds herself keeping an eye on Devon as his PA on the request of his half-brother who happens to be her friend.
There are thefts, in small chunks that add up to millions, in the company and almost everyone is under suspicion. Everyone looking to find the thief either to clear their name, name of someone they love or to nail it to a nemesis.
In all the high energy running around, Elena and Devon can't stay away from each other; they have tried that for months but no more. This also puts them in jeopardy as it is against the rules of the company run by Devon's step-mom.
Not just that, there is also a run for the CEO position between Devon and his half-brother for when their mom steps down.
With accusations running high and self discovery by the minute, it is an interesting read.
This hot new story by Carmen Falcone offers a little bit of everything - corporate espionage, sibling rivalry, absentee parents and a twisted ex husband. After having abandoned New York, Elana Moretti finds herself in Denver, having taken a job as a personal assistant to help track down the thief who's been embezzling money from her friend's family business. What she finds isn't what she expected but maybe it's exactly what she needs. Accidentally Seduced is not a "hearts and flowers" romance, but it offers plenty of sex and mystery and an ending you'll never suspect. Whether or not you're already a Carmen Falcone fan, you'll love this steamy corporate romance.
What can I say but Carmen has done it again!!! Elena is the executive assistant to Devon and she is also spying on him because money is missing from the company that his family runs. These two couldn't be more perfect for each other, she has a hard time with sex due to a bad marriage and he doesn't do relationships. When these two get together it's hot, hot, hot but in a very romantic way he is so good to her. I love how they fell in love with each other and they truly were there for each other. Another great read Carmen Falcone!!!
There are times a girl is just so excited for the simpler foods than the lavish ones, "he watched her. “Really? You seem more excited about those cheap chips than the oysters last week.” Elena can turn her man to putty, "disengaging her mouth from his, she breathed. “You want to eff me, big guy?” He jolted. Man, she’d learned a thing or two about cuss words and how they turned him on." I enjoyed this book Elena and Devon are great for each other.
I love this series. Carmen's done it again. I love the characters. Devon Elena Matthew and the rest. The story line was entertaining and kept my attention. The person who,I though done the crime was totally wrong. But that was the joy in this book. We got to see Devon and Elena's story unfold and how they both helped each to overcome something terrible that happened to them in the past. This book was a perfect escape. Can't wait for the next one
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I've enjoyed this accidental series and book 3 did not disappoint. full of over coming fears, mystery solving and sexy moments makes for an easy, enjoyable day read. Devon and his half brother are battling for CEO while trying to find out who is stealing from the company. Elana is Devon's assistant, but whose side is she on or is she the guilty party? full of twist and truths I really enjoyed the read.
Carmen Falcone delivered another hot romance with some twists and turns in Accidentally Seduced. I love the way Falcone develops her characters with true authenticity and depth. Devon and Elena are not flawless and have to overcome fears and obstacles in their past. Don't want to spill any details but her descriptive writing has you drawn into every character and love scene where you escape to their world and feel everything they are feeling.
Another great read by Carmen Falcone. So many twists and turns you change your mind multiple times on who is the culprit and dont see it coming. The heroine is torn between two brothers and her own secret.
Received a copy of the title through Barclay Publicity in exchange for an honest review; original post can be found at: http://mnonmklreviews.blogspot.com/20...
Right from the beginning, you are drawn in to the fact that this story is going to build off of deception -- first, Devon's mother has pulled him and his brother, Matthew, into the office, stating that the company has had money disappearing. Whoever finds the culprit will get the coveted CEO position. Second, though, we learn that Devon's assistant, Elena, was essentially planted in the company by Matthew in hopes of her finding Devon doing something wrong, so Matthew could get the CEO position.
Oy.
Vey.
That aside, Devon's attraction to Elena, and then his pursual and eventual falling in love, was lovely to watch. Here is a man who, due to family circumstance, was ostracized from his family more or less, and finally finding acceptance from someone. Devon has fears and phobias, and while he's never felt the need to share them, he finds himself opening up to Elena.
Elena doesn't expect to fall for her handsome boss, but when she does, she's literally stuck between a rock and hard place. I think it spoke great measures of her character, the way she proceeds throughout the book.
I have to say that Devon's need to prove himself to his family was slightly sad. However, I gave the man major props for working in such a hostile environment, as if his life, and therefore his father's choices, were his burden to bear.
Another great story by author Carmen Falcone. This time we go into the corporate world. Here one of the main characters is trying to repair his tarnished reputation given to him by betrayal and out and out lies by his former "girlfriend". He's working to prove he's worthy of being named CEO of his family corporate business. The other main character is hired to prove that he is actually stealing from the business and so the corporate spying begins. Because of their situations no real, truthful relationship can happen, something very hard to do since they each feel a strong and sexual attraction to each other. Some of the truth comes out and to deal with it they agree to terms of a very sexual nature. He agrees, in order to keep an eye on her; she agrees because she needs to get past sexual abuse that has kept her from intimacy for several years. Aside from the intrigue, hot sex, and secrets, there is humor and a surprise twist at the end. I don't like to give spoilers so I hope this is enough to get you to read. This book is the next in "The Naked Truth Series"; each is a stand alone book. If you love romance, humor, twist and turns, and hot sex then I recommend this and all Ms Falcone's books; you won't be disappointed.
Accidentally seduced is book 3 in the Naked Truth Series. I have not read the others but after reading it I can honestly say it can stand alone. However I will go back and read the others. Elena and Devon are two haunted people with problems of their own that need to be taken care of and unknown to Devon, Elena is hired to spy on him. Someone is stealing money from the company and his half brother Matthew wants to get all the info and see if Devon is the thief so he has clear sailing to take over the CEO position. Elena poses as his PA but soon realizes that Devon is innocent of all wrongdoing , so they work together to find out who is stealing from the company. Devon's only sin is sex and he enjoys lots of it. This is a very interesting suspense filled romance story that has twists and turns that keep you wondering where it will go next. The author does a fantastic job of keeping you so involved you don't want to put the book down till you find out who did what. The end is incredible....don't pass up this book its a fantastic read.
Elena Moretti has a heavy boulder hiding beneath her veil of efficiency. She is keeping a secret from her sexy boss. Her boss's brother is her friend, who has hired her to work at Wilder and Co, as a spy after it turns out that money is missing from the company. Whoever finds the perpetrator gets the seat at the top!
Devon has lived a complicated life growing up. He hadn't had a fairytale childhood and oh yes, he doesn't trust people easily. As it turns out he has a fat chance to claim the CEO position available at Wilder and Co, once he finds the person chiseling money from the coffers. He will do everything it takes to get the job but Devon hadn't banked on dealing with the swaying hips of his new assistant.
ACCIDENTALLY SEDUCED is a page-turning, full of twists and turns, rollercoaster ride. The writing is tight and to the point. Overall, I think the author did one fine job penning this sexy, suspenseful read!
Accidentally Seduced Playboy, sexy assistant/spy, sibling rivalry, seduction, scheming, missing money, open CEO position, mystery, and hot sex. Imani wants to step down from being the head of Wilder & Co but has to appoint the next CEO. With money missing from her company and two sons fighting for the position she has a big decision to make. Imani asks her sons to find out who is stealing from the company. Matthew hires Elena to pose as his half-brother Devon “The Devil” Wilder’s assistant to spy on him and see if he is stealing money so he can expose him and win the CEO position. Elena is caught between two brothers and wanting to help figure out who is stealing. Her hot love affair with Devon puts a wrench in being Matthew’s spy. Accidentally Seduced by Carmen Falcone radiates heat, passion, and suspense. It is a must read!!!
Secrets, corporate espionage, abuse, childhood trauma, scandal and steamy sex scenes are originally expressed and intertwined in this in this hot romance! Devon and Matthew (stepbrothers), are being considered for the CEO position of the family business. Both investigating missing corporate funds. Devon is fighting to overcome a scandal, that's been in the news. Matthew trying to avoid divorce. The intrigue mounts as Elena is brought into the mix as a spy. She brings with her, her own personal issues! Everyone's trying to solve the mystery. Enjoyed how these dilemmas are resolved! Great read! Book free for honest review.
This is a quick, hot read with many surprises. I love Ms. Falcone's writing style and the little quirks she gives her characters. Although this was not my favorite story of the series, I highly recommend it and the others I the Naked Truth series. This is a fantastic series and can be read in any order. I can't wait to read more by Ms. Falcone!
ARC received from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Awesome read with so much going it's hard to put it down for even a second! Sibling rivalry, corporate espionage, embezzlement, lust, and lots of sexy times make this a great read. The writing, pace, and characters are all top notch. If you're looking for an intense quick read, this one is for you. I highly recommend it.
While the storyline was decent the details had me ready to put this book on my DNF list. They similes reminded me of a book from elementary school. My biggest irritation was comparing Devon to Boris Kodjoe and then by some miracle he becomes dark skinned for the rest of the book.
*I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
Devon Wilder hasn’t had a happy childhood but he was able to surpass it and become a strong, confidante and capable adult. With the exception of his perfectly justifiable elevator phobia. Now that his adoptive mother has decided to retire, the control of the company will either go to him or to his half-brother Matthew, and Devon is determined to secure the place. However, besides the fact that blood may speak louder when it comes the time for the current president to pick her successor, Devon has to deal with a recent scandal caused by his ex-girlfriend who decided to sell to the press all the details of their open relationship. And, as if that wasn’t enough, someone is stealing money from the company and he cannot stop thinking of his new secretary...
Elena Moretti agreed to be Devon’s secretary to help Matthew since he was there for her when she needed him. In reality, she is more than qualified to be on the company’s board of directors, but Matthew suspects it’s Devon who is stealing the money and asks Elena to investigate and get him proof. What she didn’t count on was that being close to Devon would have such an effect on her… And when Devon discovers her relationship with Matthew, whom he suspects of being the thief, she becomes some sort of double agent.
Elena (who is a friend of Kika, the protagonist of book 1) had a bad experience in her marriage that left her completely indifferent to men and sex. That is, until she meets Devon and her sexual desire begins to manifest itself again. And, oh boy, does it manifest… She decides she doesn’t want to pass on the opportunity to overcome her trauma and proposes to Devon that they act on the sexual attraction they feel for each other until the thief is caught and the presidency issue resolved. Only sex, no compromise.
Devon knows that getting involved with his secretary is wrong, and he cannot afford being caught in another scandal, but when he’s near her he seems incapable of rational thought, so when it’s clear she’s also interested, how can he resist? None of them is interested in more than an affair, but will they really be capable of just walking away once the new president is picked? And what will happen when the identity of the thief is revealed?
Another fantastic romance by Carmen Falcone! The romance is developed slowly, as the protagonists get involved and get to know each other better and help each other overcome their traumas. The hotter scenes are, once again, scorching and the characters traumas are real and we are able to relate to them. And, OMG, when Devon accompanies Elena to her parents house pretending to be her boyfriend? Swoon-worthy!
I really liked this story a lot and I hope the author has something planned for Matthew. Maybe pairing him up with Luna? I’d like that… I can’t wait for the next book of this series!
I'm going to spare you all from reading the synopsis. Because really, I'm here to tell you about why you should read the book. Not tell the story in my own words. So... Why should you read the book? I have a couple of simple reasons.
It's well-written. One of the reasons why I enjoy Carmen Falcone's so much is because she has a way with words that really draws you into the characters and the setting, and a lot of romance authors struggle to get that right in my opinion.Carmen Falcone's writing is always brilliant, and I have a serious case of grabby hands when it comes to her books.
Not only is the book well-written, but the story is amazing. Intriguing and sexy, this book had me hot, bothered and on the edge of my seat the whole night through. The plot twists were amazing and the ending was definitely not what I expected. I highly recommend reading this one, in fact just go ahead and buy all her books in one go, it's that good.
Carmen Falcone did it again! This novel is super sexy!
Devon Wilder has a reputation to overcome and is focusing on becoming the CEO of his family's company. Elena Moretti is hired in as his assistant. She was hired by someone else to spy on Devon to see if he is embezzling from the company. I loved the twist of who is embezzling the money. Devon and Elena's chemistry sizzles from the very beginning. I love how both Devon and Elena help each other to overcome issues from their pasts. Oh the elevator scene! HOT!! I think Elena is very strong to move past what happened to her in her marriage.
"True, raw attraction can't be explained. It shouldn't. You just feel it."
"You're not a good liar." "I'm not a good anything." "You're good...to me," she said.
This book is my favorite out of the series so far. I highly enjoyed this one. The chemistry between Elena and Devon was HOT!!! I really liked how Devon treated Elena after what she went through in her marriage and it brought out another side of Devon I don't think he even knew he had in him. The one thing that makes a couple work so well in romance novels is that they bring out the best in one another. I do believe that is what Elena and Devon did for one another. I totally enjoyed the mystery of who was stealing from the company. I tried my hardest to figure it out by the end, but I was even surprised who it was. A big surprising twist too once all is revealed. I absolutely loved the ending it was just perfect for the book.
I was gifted an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I had the pleasure of reading other works from Carmen Falcone and I have to say this may be the best yet. I really loved the story. This book has it all. Sexy without being too sexy. A great love that develops. And the twists that were completely unexpected. I have to say this is not the normal billionaire type romance and for that I am grateful. I would recommend this book. After reading this I look forward to more in the future from Mrs. Falcone.
