He showed up with one bag, checked every lock in my apartment, and told me I wasn't going out tonight.
Lachlan Burke is six-five, ex-military, and doesn't waste words. The rules came fast and easy — what I eat, when I sleep, a text when I get where I'm going. Not unkind. Just certain, like he'd already decided to take care of it and was only telling me how.
I grew up around dangerous men. I know the difference between the kind who scare you and the kind who make you feel safe for the first time in your life. I knew exactly what I was doing when I left my bedroom door open.
He has a word for what he is to me. He said it at the end of the second week, low and steady, and my whole body went warm. I asked him to say it again.
He did.

Saorise and Lachlan. Generals daughter and Ex Military turned Bodyguard. Baby girl and Daddy.
When her father decides she needs protection, he sends the best. The best falls hard with one whispered name falling from her lips. She falls just as hard and by day 3, the rules have changed.
'I have never been so happy in my life. I’ve never wanted to be a good girl for anyone before him. I plan on being his for a very long time.'
A great story with fantastic characters and a HFN ending.

Saoirse sans Lachlan were so good together. This was quick and spicy, and I am in love with a 6,5” military man that wants to be in charge. Yes please! Loved these two, the way they connected was so hot. Loved this one a lot.
She tested every rule he made and fell for every reason behind them.
When threats against Saoirse force her father to hire private security, she expects another professional watching from a distance. Instead, Lachlan steps in with certainty, sharp instincts, and a presence that makes her feel safer than she ever has before. What begins as a temporary assignment quickly becomes something neither can ignore.
Raised around powerful men, Saoirse knows how to challenge authority, and she spends her days testing the quiet, disciplined bodyguard now sharing her space. But every challenge reveals something deeper beneath Lachlan's control. His rules aren't about power. They're about attention, trust, and the kind of care she's spent her life searching for.
As danger escalates, the line between obligation and devotion begins to blur. A secluded retreat, growing trust, and the certainty of being truly seen force them both to confront what they mean to each other. The assignment may bring them together, but what grows between them reaches far beyond a contract.
Saoirse learns to trust that attention, protection, and emotional security can be freely given without losing her independence. Lachlan moves from treating her as a responsibility to embracing genuine devotion. Their relationship grows into a deeply intimate power exchange built on trust, praise, structure, and mutual belonging.
An ultra-steamy, bodyguard, age gap, Daddy Dom romance exploring protection, trust, emotional surrender, praise, devotion, vulnerability, belonging, and the difference between control and genuine care. It’s about a woman who stops testing whether she's worth choosing, a man who discovers that protecting someone and loving them are no longer separate things, and the quiet certainty of finding home in the person who was never meant to stay.
The Elevator Pitch: A restless general's daughter thinks she understands powerful men until a quiet bodyguard walks into her life and refuses to be shaken by her tests. What begins as protection during a growing threat becomes a deeply personal bond built on trust, structure, and the rare comfort of being fully seen. As danger closes in and emotional walls come down, both must decide whether what started as an assignment has already become something permanent.
This was so fun. You already had be at bodyguard because that is my absolute favorite. But throw in what this book offered? Nice. Very nice. First off, those covers, I love them! The writing is always done well. I prefer Piper stories like these where they talk and laugh.
There was a threat and her dad thought that he was the best man for the job. He wasn't wrong.
And the girl gets a Daddy too. Oh and my. This was so fun, having this msn break his control and having her test him was awesome. I appreciated their interactions and was very entertained by the chemistry and the steam. Loved this!

This book is more than the slow burn, the romance. There is some action too, twists and suspense, which make it a little different from others in this series. It made it much more interesting - such a pro!
Saoirse is a general's daughter and her life is in danger. Her father arranges for a bodyguard, Lachlan.
Lachlan is former military and does not use more words than needed.
From day 1, she starts testing him. On day 3, she calls him Daddy She is no longer a contract, she is his priority.
Recommended.

The story follows Lachlan Burke, an imposing former soldier standing one metre ninety-five tall, who enters Soirse’s life not to ask for permission, but to take control and ensure her wellbeing. From the very start, he lays down clear rules (what to eat, when to sleep, letting him know when she arrives), but always out of a sense of care and absolute devotion. Having grown up surrounded by dangerous men, she immediately recognises the difference between fear and true safety, so she has no hesitation in opening the doors to her life (and her bedroom) to him.

The characters were very appealing and complex and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

When he shows up in her doorstep, it’s because she’s in danger. He walks in with rules that she didn’t know she needed. He thought she was just a job until he realized that she needed him as much as he needed her. And once the danger pass, there’s no walking away for either of them.. These stories are high tension with the power exchange dynamic. If you like the big dumb alpha, who takes charge and takes care of you these might give you butterflies and make your tummy tingle.

Book 6 of the Yes, Daddy series, this is about Saoirse and Lachlan. She needs protection from an unknown threat, instead she finds a man who will do anything for her. I like that her father accepted their choice of being together, and that they didn’t run.

I wanted to enjoy this as much as I have her others, but this book was too slow for me. The plot was good: an age-gap bodyguard falls for his assignment. I enjoyed how it ended and the way he treated her, but he spoke so little. I would still recommend Piper Kane, but definitely one of her other books.
A delightfully short and steamy story. We follow Lachlan and Saoirse. A great Daddy Dom and Little Sub romance. Lachlan is tough and a hunk of a soldier; he is the boss and she follows the rules he sets for her. I enjoyed their story and the connection they share. Highly recommended reading.

This is a cute steamy bodyguard story with a daddy dom, age gap and some rules. It stands alone and is fairly short and quick to read. The story is about Saoirse and Lachlan. She is in danger so her father hires protection. Lachlan has rules and wants so much more. The story is a touch over the top and entertaining too with some suspense.
A beautiful daddy themed romance story. Attention to detail in the storyline was fantastic. Caring compassionate characters. Amazing chemistry between characters. Enjoyed reading this book.
