Just when I think my life can’t get any crazier, I wake up after a night of partying and find out that the person I hooked up isn’t just one of my frat brothers; he’s also our hacker, and my direct subordinate.
I might not remember what happened that night, but Liam does, and I have video proof of everything that went down. After using my proof to blackmail him into hooking up again, I find out that he’s into the same stuff I am, and the more we hook up, the more I crave him.
Liam is the opposite of what I usually go for, but there’s something about his shyness and quiet nature that draws me in. I’ve never wanted to mess around with a guy before, and what starts as a game turns into something real, and my amusement becomes obsession.
Then I find out that someone has been targeting him, and I vow to do everything in my power to keep him safe. Liam is mine, and I will burn the world down to protect him.
If someone wants him, then they’ll have to go through me, first.
What can I say about myself? It’s kind of like being the new kid in school and being asked to tell everyone a bit about yourself. Anyone else forget everything they’ve ever liked, thought of, and even their name in those moments?
A few facts about me; I’m a veteran, I’m Canadian, and I love books! I’ve been writing my own stories since I was eight and wrote my first novel at sixteen. I’m the first to admit those attempts weren’t my best work, but they started me on a journey of creating stories that has led me to fulfilling my dream of becoming an author. I’ve written and published in several genres under different names, but MM is by far my favorite, and I’m so happy to be able to share my stories with people today.
I currently live on Canada’s east coast with my kiddo and my cats. I have a shoe collecting addiction, and I enjoy taking long walks, discussions with friends, and reading anything and everything I can get my hands on.
I really enjoy dark academia. I love the secret brotherhoods and shadow grey areas they all live in. In this book we get a very unexpected pair up. One of the 'princes' on campus falls for the 'plain' nerdy hermit. The dynamics in their first encounters give off bully/sub vibes and create an atmosphere we can't fully trust but then things start to change and the falling is revealed. Add in the mystery of who-done-it and this becomes a sexy sizzling story that you can't put down. I really enjoyed this.
I really enjoyed this story and how opposite Hazen and Liam are. They are adorably cute together, and seeing their relationship grow so naturally from being sort of friends and quickly escalating into such a protective and primal need was wonderfully developed. Hazen has his sights set on Liam, and once he realizes there is a mutual attraction, he never lets him go. I love a devoted MC, and Hazen was perfect in his quest to always protect and define his relationship even when Liam was a bit nervous and unsure. Overall, this was another great addition to the series, and I look forward to the next one.
*** I reviewed a complimentary copy of this story.***
Like A Villain is book six in the Silvercrest U series. This MM college dark romance story is about Hazen and Liam.
So we are back at Silvercrest U with this story focusing on two frat brothers from the Keepers. Hazen is one of the frat leaders, a hockey player, straight, popular, and has a twin brother Connor. Liam is the IT specialist and hacker, a nerd, bisexual, and introverted. He has had a secret crush on Hazen for a couple years. Liam isn't huge, but he is big and insecure about the extra weight he carries. It was a nice change to read about a character that didn't have abs or look like a model.
I really enjoyed Hazen and Liam's dynamic. Liam was shy and awkward, and it made me sad that he didn't think Hazen would want him. Things definitely got hot when they started hooking up. I loved how Hazen took charge and talked dirty to Liam when they were intimate, but he also took care of Liam and showed a softer side when Hazen is never soft with anyone. I found Liam to be very relatable, and he was a character you want to protect at all costs. And thank goodness Hazen was so protective of Liam, especially when he was in danger.
The side characters were great, and I loved seeing the Hawthorne twins again. I am glad we finally got resolution on the blackmail scheme. Overall, I really enjoyed this opposites attract love story. I was surprised and excited to learn we will be getting more books in this series.
I received an advanced copy of this book, and this is my honest review.
I really enjoyed this one. Liam and Hazen had me locked in right from the start and I couldn’t put it down. I’m loving this whole series and I’m looking forward to the next book.
I always get excited when it's time to return to Silvercrest U, and this was another fantastic addition to the series!
Hazen and Liam were SO good together. They couldn't be more opposite, with popular, confident hockey player Hazen and shy, nerdy IT guy Liam. Liam has secretly been crushing on Hazen for years, while Hazen is happily sharing himself with anyone willing, completely unaware of Liam's feelings.
I absolutely adored Liam. He's sweet, awkward, a little insecure, and so easy to love. I also appreciated having a character who wasn't built like a fitness model. He felt relatable, and I just wanted to give him a hug!
Hazen was such a surprise. He's confident, protective, and initially seems like he doesn't have a soft side, but seeing how he treats Liam was everything. Once he realises the attraction is mutual, he is ALL IN. I loved how naturally their relationship developed, the chemistry, the spice, and how devoted Hazen became. He was exactly what Liam needed.
I also loved catching up with the familiar side characters, seeing the Hawthorne twins again, and finally getting some resolution to the blackmail storyline.
Another great opposites-attract romance with plenty of heat, sweetness, and a seriously devoted MMC. I can't wait to see what Willow has in store for us next!
Tropes/Themes: MM College Romance Opposites Attract Hockey Player x Nerd Frat Brothers Secret Crush Friends to Lovers Bisexual Awakening Body Positivity Protective & Devoted MMC Hurt/Comfort Found Family HEA
“He’s still staring at me like I’m the hottest thing he’s ever seen, and all logic and reason flies from my brain when he drags his tongue over his full bottom lip and pops his hips up in a silent invitation.”
Like a Villain was another great addition to the Silvercrest U series by Willow Dixon, this is book 6 in the series and it's Hazen and Liam's story.
Liam is the techy nerd, with Hazen being the wild party boy with a reputation for crazy and I really enjoyed the opposites-attract dynamic between them. This is a friends/frat mates to lovers trope, with plenty of chemistry and spice as their relationship shifts into something neither of them was expecting.
There are some darker themes, which sit more within the wider story than the romance itself, and while I personally could have done with a little more hostility and morally questionable behaviour because that's my jam (!!) Liam and Hazen were gorgeous together. The overarching storyline from the series also appears to finally come together here, giving us some satisfying payoff beyond the romance.
A really enjoyable read, even if the “villain” turned out to be considerably less villainous than I was hoping for!
What To Expect:
🖤 MM romance 🖤 Opposites attract 🖤 Bi-awakening 🖤 Techy nerd x wild party boy 🖤 Friends/frat mates to lovers 🖤 Reputation for crazy 🖤 Found family 🖤 Darkish themes 🖤 Spicy first times 🖤 HEA
That was so good! Hazen and Liam are so freaking cute together, ugh! 🥹 This one's definitely one of my fav in the series 🙌 Liam is precious, he's so clueless and it makes him so damn adorable I just wanted to hug him. 🥰 Hazen is an absolute cutie and I loved the way he accepted the fact that he was attracted to Liam. 🥹
I had such a great time reading this book and I could've easily read 200 more pages of them. 😍
✨ARC REVIEW✨ I've really enjoyed this series, and Like a Villain was another great addition! Hazen and Liam bring an opposites-attract dynamic with the confident hockey-playing frat boy and the shy, socially awkward hacker who's been secretly crushing on him since freshman year. While the possessive, obsessive tendencies and secret society vibes are still very much present, I found this book a little lighter in tone than some of the earlier books. The chemistry between these two was fantastic, but what I particularly enjoyed was how Hazen embraced Liam exactly as he was, insecurities and all. It was another entertaining addition to a series that continues to deliver on its dark romance vibes!
I received a complimentary, advanced copy of this book from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.
I discovered Willow’s books last year and I’m addicted to the way she brings these characters to life. Even though I haven’t finished this series, I’ve loved the ones I have read. This book kept me truly invested from the first page all the way to the ending where these two get the happily ever after that they deserved.
The start of the book, Liam witnessed something and since then, his life has been an ongoing battle. What I loved was how he always knows how to protect himself. That bear spray scene had me laughing because that was so unexpected.
Liam and Hazen were absolutely insanely perfect together. The way that they got together had me grinning like a fool. That next morning when Hazen showed Liam the video footage had me shaking my head.
Poor Liam has been in love with Hazen for quite some time and when Hazen gives him attention, he’s confused as to why he is when he can have anyone else. I love how Willow does the body positive with Liam because he’s so hard on himself. And Liam, I love me some cake too!
I just love how Hazen would do just about anything and everything to protect his man. And his bi-awakening was so natural. It was only Liam that he was attracted to. Yes please.
I don’t know what it is that Willow puts in her book but each and every book I’ve read has had me hooked.
I cannot wait to read the next book because I have been waiting for this MC’s book since he was first introduced in this series.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
I don’t know what Willow Dixon is putting in these books to make them so addictive, but I’d gladly take more!! Each new book in the series I swear is my new fave only to have the next one come out and jump to the top of the list! I absolutely devoured this one and is now currently my fave!! Hazen is now my top MC in the entire series, I love him so much!
Liam and Hazen were the definition of opposites attract! Liam was the computer nerd, IT specialist, who is uncomfortable with his appearance and a virgin. Hazen was the popular play boy jock with looks to kill and a cocky attitude to match. The chemistry between them was explosive from the first hookup! I loved how Hazen was with Liam, how he took control during the sexy times but was a total marshmallow for him at other times. I loved how easily Hazen accepted himself and his expanding sexuality, and I love how his friends and family never even blink because it’s not a big deal.
I was glad to see the resolution to the blackmailing scheme finally! I also loved the cameo from the Hawthorne twins! They’re always so fun and chaotic! I look forward to Carters story next but I really am excited about Connor & Ethan’s! I knew it would be them 2 and I know they’re both going to be fighting it so hard! I cannot wait!!!

yessss yallll as per usualllll willow really killed it with her darker shit over here!! & like hazen...DADDDYYYY MF HAZENNNN!! man...our bi/demi awakened king!! the man you are!! i love how he just absolutely never questioned his feelings & desires for liam!!
I’m not sure what Willow puts in her books but I swear that hasn’t been one that I don’t love! I’m curious to see how much longer this series goes on for since the “big thing” throughout most of this series has been solved.
Omg this was so freaking good! I loved the characters and their initial spicy interaction and the shenanigans that follow are so freaking 🥵 I seriously couldn’t put this book down and I stand by my recommendation that everyone should read this book!
I have loved the entire Silvercrest U series. This book being no different.
Hazen is an absolute playboy. Being attractive and a leader of the fraternity really gets you whatever you want, including a plethora of women throwing themselves at you. Hazen has a set of rules he follows for hookups, which he eventually learns are worth breaking for the right person.
Liam is the fraternity’s IT guy. He works closely with all the leaders and has developed a pretty big crush on Hazen. I mean watching the house cameras big. Liam is the sweetest character. He is very insecure and with that spends a lot of his time in the security office when he is not in class.
The night of the Halloween party changes everything for Liam and Hazen. Leading to several stolen moments.
Liam struggles with insecurity and just waiting for it to all end. While it takes Hazen an intervention from his brother to put things into perspective.
I loved seeing Hazen’s softer side when he got around Liam. He was really great at reassuring Liam when it was needed. He would do anything to protect him which is evident several times throughout the book.
From the start of this book, I was immediately thrown back in to the Silvercrest U universe with ease. I loved that we got to see characters from the prior books in the series as well. Truthfully I could not put this book down.
Not to mention the note of two more books to come. Are we joking!! Sign me up!
↓↓ Liam and Hazen are complete opposites but they fit together soooo well.
I loved Liam so much. He is sweet and nerdy and so cute! He is definitely a nervous nelly but it was in the most endearing way. I wanted to wrap him up in a hug and give him so much love.
Hazen was unexpected. I was expecting him to have more doubts with his revelation on his sexuality. Some questions, something but nothing and I loved that. He accepted his attraction to Liam and dived right in and gave himself completely to him.
I really enjoyed to see their relationship grow as naturally as it did. There was this vulnerability between them that was so sweet. Hazen's need to protect Liam, his softness around him, the way he would drop everything just to show up for Liam, it really showed Liam that he was cared for and loved.
I will say that I felt that the whole blackmail scheme was uncovered and then wrapped up so quick. This plot has expanded over the 6 books in the series and I feel like it was completely rushed through. I wanted more about the revelation and the outcome.
I am so happy to learn we are getting more books in this series.

Another wonderful book in this great series by Willow Dixon! Hazen and Liam were sweet and hot at the same time and I loved both of them! I'm so glad this isn't the last book set in this world of ambiguous morals and secret societies.
Though I was a bit uncomfortable with their dynamic in the first half of the book, but that's a me thing so don't let that stop you from devouring this!
I absolutely devoured this book!! Hazen & Liam have my whole heart. Hazen had me in a chokehold, and my baby Liam.. Their dynamic, the tension, the sweetness, and the way their relationship develops had me hooked from the start. I loved every second of these two!! Willow Dixon really knows how to keep me turning the pages. And the spiceeee?? GIRL. 🌶️🥵
This might just be my favorite Silvercrest U book so far.
Every book in this series gets me excited. I always love all the characters. I loved Hazen and Liam together, they really were opposites. Liam was so sweet and precious. Hazen was just out there sharing himself to everyone willing unaware that Liam was in love with him. I love how Hazen just went with the flow with his relationship with Liam and had lots of fun along the way.
I really enjoyed Hazen & Liam’s story. Hazen is a playboy, tough jock hockey player and Liam’s is the frats IT virgin specialist who’s been crushing on Hazen for a few years. The spice be spicing, the possessiveness and marking were 🤌I loved how they both grew in their own ways and of course the found family that’s been in this whole series and the twin connection with Connor.
I am so darn invested in this series! Absolutely love it and I don’t see that enjoyment dampening any time soon. It’s definitely one of my fave MM college series, and I’m always eagerly looking forward to the next book.
Oh, my precious Liam. Sweet, shy, awkward and endearing as anything. I had a massive soft spot for that cutie. His very real insecurities and low self-esteem hurt my heart so deeply (how he hates looking in a mirror and thinks he’s only a short-term thing 😭). I wanted, no, neeeeded someone to love him for being him so badly. He’s so convinced he’s unlovable, he’s completely oblivious to all the obvious signs that Hazen’s totally claimed him in a very public way. But honestly, that only made Liam even more adorable in my eyes.
And Hazen. At the beginning of the book, he’s a bit of a grump and has always been a one-night-only kinda man, but it’s not long before he’s addicted to being with our quiet nerd. I LOVED how he’s soft just for Liam. And how he loves it rough, but he also treats Liam with such tenderness at the same time. I loved how Liam makes Hazen feel so much.
As expected, the spice is 100% on point. I was all for the dynamic between these two in our spicy scenes; Liam coming apart so beautifully and so vocally in submission for the man he’s pined over for years, while Hazen’s commanding presence, praise and dirty talk had me basically panting for these two. And I loved their little marking kink and how Liam is completely at Hazen’s mercy in the BEST way. We did have to wait for their first kiss, but it’s so worth it.
As always in these books, the supporting characters are everything you’d want from a found family, having each other’s back no matter what. Carter really shined in this one as a best friend for our big-hearted Liam, and I’m so incredibly excited for his story.
If you love your protective, possessive men, this series has you absolutely covered. I’ve been left practically drooling for all the morally grey MMCs at the end of each book, which is exactly how it should be.

Some of my favourite quotes
“Do you know what happens to bad boys who don’t do what they’re told?” “They get punished.”
“Do you know why I want you to look at yourself? Because I want you to see what I see when you come undone for me.”
“I’ll always come when you need me. No matter what.”
“You’re not just attractive to me, you’re beautiful, and I hate that I made you feel like you aren’t.”
“I’m yours, aren’t I? That means you can do whatever you want to me. So go ahead and use me.”
“You’re mine, Liam. Not just now, but forever. If you’re not okay with that, then tell me right now.”
“You’ve not only shown me that love is real, but that it’s the most real and precious thing I can share with someone.”
Weeerrrreee baaccckkk!!! Back with my Silvercrest Baddies that is, and this time it's Hazen and Liam stepping on up for love.
Liam is the hacker aficionado of his frat. He likes to blend in with the background and keeps to himself. He's got his online besties, but otherwise likes to keep the spotlight firmly pointed on other people, slinking around when nobody else is around to notice him. While investigating something for the frat at the beginning of the school year he inadvertently uncovers a deadly secret and unknowingly paints a giant target on his teddy bear back.
Hazen is one of the frat house leaders, he's a twin and he's on the hockey team, so naturally he's a bit of a hottie. He works closely with Liam when it comes to frat security but hasn't really given him much thought before, in the romantic sense anyway, that is until a drunken night brings Liam to his rescue and his bed. After that... my dude Hazen can't get enough of sweet, unassuming Liam and any and all bets are off!
In true Willow Dixon fashion, we get a nice fast paced story, with plenty of spice and found family vibes amongst my main frat bro dudes. There's mystery and intrigue. There's tension and there's breadcrumbs around who might be next up on the HEA chopping block and who they just might find their HEA with. If Bi Awakening's, perfectly reasonable blackmail, and two dudes finding a HEA are your jam, then you might have just found the perfect bread with which to make a sandwich.
At the end of each of these books there is an epilogue which always includes a bit of a time jump, so we get to see these boys once they're all graduated and living their best lives beyond the confines of the university campus, which I always appreciate.
As usual, I can't wait to see what happens next in this world, so bring it on!
Please note: I received an ARC copy of this book through the Author Agency.
Liam is a great hacker. Trying to figure out the blackmail that is currently happening on campus, he get much more than he bargained for. Terrified, he hides out in his secure room and watches feeds to take his mind off what he saw. He sees Hazen, (his long time crush) in trouble and steps out of his comfort zone to help him. Hazen is a force to be reckoned with. Him and his twin are uncrowned royalty at Silvercrest U. He is suffering with a severe case of ennui. The regular parties (and attendees) just aren’t doing it for him anymore. He attends a party and bored he takes a pill a friend gives him and gets so high he’s totally out of it. Liam to the rescue.
I so liked this pair. Hazen is morally grey (trending to dark). But still so likable. Liam isn’t a heartthrob like most of the men on campus. He’s a little chunky and very introverted. His rescue of Hazen is very heroic (at least for him). I really liked his questioning whether Hazen was coherent enough to decide to have sex. They had a few miscommunications along the way but nothing to serious.
The end of the overarching story line seemed anticlimactic.
This series keeps adding more interesting personalities for the main characters to fall for so the books stay interesting and don’t get stagnant. Best read in order.

This was another great addition to the Silvercrest U series. This is a great opposite attract story with Hazen and Liam being so different, yet their relationship develops naturally and it feels like a great fit for them both. It was great getting to know Liam and Hazen watching their sort of friendship turn into forever. I loved how protective and quite frankly devoted Hazen was from the start. He set his sights on Liam and just never looked back. Liam was so cute and shy. He definitely needed Hazen to help him out of his shell and help him see his worth. I loved how Hazen was only soft for Liam and how sweet they were together. As we've grown accustomed with this series, there is some over the top-ness, which just makes it a more entertaining read in my opinion. I also really enjoyed the little cameos from other couples in this series. I liked seeing Liam in hacker mode, working things out with Carter and even Myles. There is never a dull moment at Silvercrest and I liked how this problem got solved.
If you enjoy a jock/nerdy hacker pairing where they both enjoy marking each other then this is the book for you.
This turned out to be a pretty sweet story. It started off dark with Hazen blackmailing Liam for sexual favours that Liam was already willing to do. Liam had been crushing on Hazen for years and after helping him while he was high, Hazen starts to take an interest in him. Their relationship develops into something deeper the more they hang out, and Hazen starts to fall for Liam just as hard as Liam already has.
I found Liam’s character really relatable and was happy for the heavyset representation. Liam was insecure about his body always comparing himself to others and couldn’t believe that Hazen could ever truly want him long term. Hazen was patient and kind, showing Liam just how beautiful and wanted he was. Liam slowly gained confidence and Hazen showed his soft side more often.
Both had very supportive and caring friends who looked out for them. Hazen’s twin brother accepted Liam straight away, and was just as protective of him as Hazen was. Carter looked out for Liam and was always helpful when situations arose. I’m happy that his book is next in the series.
- Invite only elite college - Frat bros - Jock X nerd - Heavyset, virgin MC - MC in danger - Introvert X extrovert
I really enjoyed this book! It kept me on my toes and helped distract me from my own hectic daily life! It’s great when a story manages to make you lose yourself in it like that!
The insecure Liam and the confident Hazen are two great guys, and I loved seeing how the dynamic between them developed. The mix of acceptance, protective instincts, and adoration just made me melt.
What can I say? The suspense was top-notch—it kept me hooked, but it was never too much for me. Found family at its best, and let’s not even get started on the spice—you know if you know 😉🔥🥵!
I highly recommend this book and am already looking forward to the stories of the side characters—there's a little preview of them at the end of the book!
I loved the way that Hazen was obsessed with Liam, no matter what Liam's insecurities were about himself. Liam has struggled carrying a bit of extra weight and hates the feeling of being stared at by people. He's never had a full on relationship and Hazen was amazing at teaching him how to break out of his intimate shell.
This series has a mysterious plot mixed in with each couple and at this point, this school has so many red flags with the scheming way they do things.
