I really enjoyed this taboo story between McKinley and Dean. Their forbidden relationship is not the focus of their bond; their bond stems from them both being mates who have an intense attraction, affection, and desire for one another that is complicated by their past misunderstandings and pain from disappointing one another.
Overall, this was another great taboo addition to this highly addictive series. I love the added element of an omegaverse setting, which adds a lot of intrigue and new elements to the story.

4.75 LOVED THEM BOTH 😩 daddy dean was such a green flag consent king it was actually making me sick 😂 jk it was just so damn cute and ohhh was it filthy. Their relationship was perfect in the end! I was so excited for their story and it was exactly what i thought it would be. I absolutely can not wait to get my hands on the next book. Thank you to the author for the opportunity to arc read 🥹🫶🏼

Maybe I'm just a bitch right now since everyone else loved this and I enjoyed book 1, but I struggled with some of this. Could have been shorter and covered the same content without repetition.
"His cock is 11 inches, maybe more." 🙄 Can we just not do that. ELEVEN inches. Just stop. And then later in the book we hear it again. "He's at least ten, maybe 11 inches."
Other phrases kept being repeated - "I want - no, need...", "Dean-fucking-Larson"

Ok, this exceeded my expectations in a way I didn't anticipate. Based on book one I thought I would really like this one, but the reality is that I am obsessed with Mac and Dean.
When we first meet them in Intertwined you get a glimpse of them and think you might know what the dynamic will be, and you'd be right... partially, because SIIIIIIR, what do you mean you are this nasty and filthy in the best possible way? Dean... Daddy Dean... calm down PLEASE.
This book was so much fun, but it also touched some things that I really, really love and I am so glad Ember was so brave to write the book they wanted.
Dean and Mac are fated mates, big surprise, I know 😅, but the way they find out is both funny and sexy as fuck. It was literally fate smacking them in the face and I was there for it.
The first thing I loved about the book ( and let's just say that if this would've been the only thing I loved it would've still be more than enough ) was how these two navigated that hard path that took them from father/son to fated mates/lovers.
Fathercest is not an easy thing to write in my honest opinion, a lot of things could go wrong, but Ember did an amazing job. Not even for a second did they make me think that this had something shady or idk sleazy behind this relationship. This wasn't grooming, this wasn't wrong, this was about two people that realize they're fated mates, and fate knows best what they need. They truly are the perfect match. Keep in mind that this is omegaverse, and in omegaverse fate doesn't care about DNA.
We had to see them struggle accept this fact ( one more than the other ), they had to come to terms with this, and work their way from there. It wasn't the easiest road, suffering had to be part of this, but in the end they got their HEA and that's what matters the most. Accepting as a father/son pair that the love they felt went from familiar love to romantic love is not easy, but it was sweet.
Mac was, as expected, the one that was more chill about this, but even he understood where Dean was coming from and I am grateful for that.
When they navigate this path we get to learn more about our swert Mac, and omg, my baby deserves the world. For an alpha he is needier than an omega, and it suited him. Based on everything he went through and everything that was happening in his life it is totally understandable. His pouts are so cute, I can't. I love how when he got comfortable with Dean ( as a partner ) he got to enjoy himself more, allow himself to show his bratty side and just leave all those heavy and negative feelings behind. He just wants to be loved, needs it really, and who would be best at that job of loving and accepting him exactly as he is if not his dad, his fated mate?
The way these two completed the mating bond was AMAZING. A-MA-ZING. Standing ovulation for that scene. Pfiu.
When I'm telling you Dean is nasty and has the filthiest mouth, believe me. That man made me hot, so... I get it Mac. I get it.
Another thing I loved is how the spice was used to help the characters develop. It wasn't smut just for the sake of smut. Sure, we do have the "recreational" smut scenes, but the majority are to help Mac accept himself, learn things about himself, helped these two connect emotionally and grow into the couple they end up being.
BUT what I loved the most was the way Ember choose to go about the kink side of things and safe words. I LOVED THAT. LOVED IT. BRAVO. This takes courage in a world where authors don't really use said safe words in the book. Bravo and thank you.
The found family in this book is amazing as well. I loved seeing the twins and their parents, it made me miss them even more and now I wanna go back and re-read their book. Ohhhh, and the glimpse we get of the future couple? Uhhh, boy, YESSSS. I can't wait. Drool. Insert drool here. Wow.
I can't wait to read book 3 and get to see more of my Mac baby and Dean.

Ok these two guys were just too freaking cute! The push and pull here had me going a bit crazy but when Dean got his head out of his bum and finally committed to McKinley my heart melted. He just made McKinley feel so safe and loved and it was perfect 🥰 This series just comes with so many feelings and an undercurrent of pure acceptance that it's hard not to be sucked in! I cannot wait for this last book now my gosh the little peeks we got were just not enough 🥵🤣

This is my first book by Ember and I’m hooked now. I loved it when I can find an amazing author that can immediately suck me into their world. I immediately signed up because it’s a taboo relationship. I need to go back and read the first book because I need that story like right now.
I knew just from the first chapter I was going to love Dean and McKinley. Father and son stories always hook me in the best way but this one was perfect because they were fated mates.
The love that Dean has for his son is everything. It showed at the auction when a creep bid on his son and he immediately bid way higher to protect his McKinley. Also, that man his mouth. I swear, I’m a sucker for some dirty talk but holy moly… I was not prepared for what came out of his mouth at a time.
My heart did break a bit in the beginning because Dean did break his fragile heart. The redemption that came was so worth it. These two alphas are absolutely and sinfully perfect for one another.
I loved the bonus chapter. To see their lives in the future was so cute. Also, I’m such a fan of a good found family and this book hit the spot.
I literally need the next book because I have a feeling this one is going to be a lot of fun together.

I had the absolute honor of Beta reading Desired for Ember and let me tell you I devoured this book!! This is one of the best taboo/omegaverse books I have ever read, I found McKinley and Dean's relationship to be so endearing.

I haven't read lactation kink in years and I just recently read a book with it that I realized my brain had completely blanked out those scenes. And I think since this one was back to back it was too much and I wasnt able to.
I just think my personal trauma with breastfeeding has made this kink a no for me going forward 😭 absolutely nothing against this book. I was actually really enjoying the writing.

2.5 stars. It really needed much more heavy editing because there were a lot of repeated phrases and descriptors for the characters. I get it. He’s your dad and he has a big dick. You don’t need to tell me the exact size three different times throughout the book.
My biggest criticism is that the MCs spent half the book crying about something or other. If I had to read “he had tears in his eyes,” “his eyes were tearing up,” or “his eyes glistened with unshed tears” one more time I was going to scream. My god. They cried if the sex was good, they cried because they wanted each other, they cried when they mated, they cried or teared up because they couldn’t be all over each other at all times. It was out of sheer stubbornness that I finished the book tbh.

This was such an amazing taboo omegaverse and spicy story. Once I read the first book in this series, I was dying for Dean and McKinley's story. I really love this author's writing style and flow so much. I also love the mix of spice, sweetness, some hurt/comfort, and the best HEAs. The spice in this was spicing hard and so deliciously taboo 🔥🔥🔥🔥. If you don't like blood relations, then skip this book. The Daddy kink was so sexy in this story too. This had some great troupes like: Blood Father/Son, Omegaverse, Alpha/Alpha, Age Gap, Pining, Obsessive/Protective/Possessive MC, and D/s Dynamics. He wants space, which ends up hurting McKinley. We see these two have some distance and McKinley loses some trust for his dad. Dean realizes he let his fear rule him and made a huge mistake. He will do everything to prove to his son that he is a mate he can count on and trust with everything. Daddy Dean is going nowhere and will make McKinley gain his trust once again 🥹.
I loved the relationship between these two so much. I loved that we got to see the father/son aspect as well as the lovers/mate aspect. McKinley was such a sweet and polite boy, but when it came to his father, he was a sassy, needy boy 😉. Dean was super sweet, caring, and extremely protective and possessive. He would do anything and everything for his boy. The spice, chemistry, and connection were off the charts 🥵🥵. The kink was written so well and melted my kindle 🔥🔥🔥🔥. "Desired" is a taboo (blood-related) romance between a father (Dean) and his son (McKinley), set in an omegaverse universe. This is the second in a series, and although it can be read as a standalone, the twin brothers from the first book, "Intertwined," do make a couple of appearances in this story, so it is slightly spoilery for that book (particularly the epilogue). Honestly, though, both books are really good, so if taboo romance is your thing, then I definitely recommend reading both.
I enjoyed this story quite a lot, as well as the first. It's very character-driven, and the spice is hot! There's a bit of angst and a good amount of tension between the characters due to the change in the nature of their relationship, but I feel that's to be expected w/ the premise of the book.
There is mpreg, but it's referenced rather than shown on page. K!nk does make an appearance as well, so heads up on those if you aren't into either. I definitely recommend reading the CWs for this one, not because bad or violent things happen, but because of various "activities" the two get up to.
Overall, I really liked the book and recommend it to anyone into this particular subgenre of MM romance.

I first met Dean and McKinley while reading Intertwined and immediately hoped they would eventually get their own story, so finding out Desired was already on the way was a very happy surprise.
What I liked most about Intertwined was that despite how taboo the premise was, there was still so much sweetness underneath it and Desired gave me that same feeling. Dean and McKinley’s relationship is obviously unconventional, but their connection was also genuinely sweet and it was really easy for me to get invested in them.
I loved finally getting to see what was going on between these two after only getting glimpses of them before. There’s plenty of heat, a lot of vulnerability, and two characters who clearly care deeply about each other even while trying to figure out what their relationship can actually look like. If you liked Intertwined and were curious about Dean and McKinley too, I definitely think Desired is worth picking up.

What destroyed my experience with this book was the repetitiveness: the same phrases, and, on top of that, fewer plot developments. If this is meant just for the sake of the kink, well, let it be. For example, I like the phrases around “coming in his pants,” but I don't need them to be mentioned that many times in a single book, along with similar situations. The book was amazing until about the first half, and I was devouring it until it became repetitive. This is why my rate is low.
Don't get me wrong, the book is great. It has lots of warm and unique relationships to discover, kink discussions, and hot stuff (a lot of it, for those who like to dive into that) + it is a taboo romance (father and a son).

I'm really enjoying this omegaverse world from this author - it is taboo, a bit kinky (primal chase in this one!), and steamy - while at the same time having some lovely found family feels as this group of characters grows, and some very sweet moments.

I knew reading Intertwined that I wanted Dean and Mac to be together and I am so happy Ember decided to go that direction. These two were so perfect together and I absolute love an Alpha/Alpha story. Dean’s jealously was handled so well and the back & forth was absolutely heart breaking between these two. I wanted so badly to be mad at Dean but he grovels so well. I loved how he did everything in his power to do better for Mac and to be what Mac needed.
These two were so precious and the love between them is so palpable. Mac was the absolute sweetest yet bratty boy for Daddy Dean. He was so needy and it definitely suits him so much. He deserves to be spoiled and I love how automatically comfortable he is with the new dynamic between him and Dean. Yes, it’s complicated, but things that are worth it are, and Dean has to prove himself a bit and gain back some trust after a fumble or two but that makes it so delicious.
These two alphas are so sweet together, they are just so perfect, Dean listens and learns about what McKinley wants and that includes his kinks and is up for anything as long as he is happy and safe. What more could anyone want?!? I adored everything about these two, their acceptance of each other, their love and bond, it was everything.

I absolutely devoured this book. I loved McKinley and Dean. Yes this is a taboo fathercest book so if that’s not for you then ignore this review. The book was really well written and I enjoyed reading it. Dean really struggled in the beginning with accepting McKinley as his mate. Seeing his internal struggle broke me. Watching Dean accept his bond with McKinley was everything.
McKinley was in love with his dad for a while but never imagined his dad would be his fated mate. I loved how Dean took care of McKinley and always put his needs first.
Getting appearances from Harper and Henry was sweet to see. I love how they created their own little found family with Harper, Henry and their dads.

You want a book that will make you blush?? this is IT! The absolutely FILTHY mouth on this man is top tier. First you have Mac, a sweet alpha who just wants to be controlled and not be the one in control. He also has a problem that he thinks is embarrassing… but a certain someone *cough cough Daddy Dean* goes feral over, IYKYK. For years he has been in love with Dean and compares every person to him, and always left unsatisfied. Then bring in Dean. Daddy Dean in both the literal sense and the sexy sense 🤭🤭. He loves Mac and up until a few years ago realizes he’s IN LOVE with Mac. Their chemistry together is hot AF, swoon worthy, and will make you have all of the emotions! If you like T@BOO books, then read this one! Ember does not miss with this book!

I really love the frst book but this one omgomg
Dean and McKinley had me hooked almost immediately. The way Dean loves and protects McKinley was honestly one of my favorite parts of the story.
I also really loved how protective and possessive Dean was. And his mouth??? 😭😭😭😭
The dirty talk definitely caught me off guard, but I was absolutely not complaining.
Their relationship wasn't perfect, though, and I really felt for McKinley in the beginning.
Some of Dean's choices genuinely hurt him, so seeing him make an effort to make things right made the later parts of the story so much more satisfying.
I really enjoyed reading this! I need more from Ember!

Dean—fucking—Larson. Daddy Dean. I am obsessed with this man and every single thing that comes out of his mouth. The absolute filth. I had to take a break in the middle of reading—it’s that wonderfully intense. The mutual pining from both sides at the beginning was almost painful. These two have been silently obsessed with each other for years, and I’ve never been happier for two people to realize that their love has changed. Even though there is an insane amount of spice in this book, the amount of sweetness rivals it. These two care so deeply about one another and just want each other to be happy. I think Ember handled their relationship transition well. Neither one jumped right in without considering what it would mean for their relationship as father and son. They were always meant to be together—not that they really had a choice.
My heart was happy to see Harper and Henry again. It was great to get an elevation to their relationship with Mac and Dean and to catch up on what they’ve been up to.

The writer should learn how to write slowburn romance because instant attraction at the beginning when this is a taboo romance is a no no for me. I mean, as far as I know, the characters should hardly acknowledge their arousal is because of their son or brother whatever. This is taboo romance. It’s forbidden. So I want to feel that their love is forbidden or at least they are trying their best to fight their feelings. The best taboo romance Ive ever read was End Scene and I think that became my standard. After reading that story, I never read any better taboo romance.
