THE STARS CHOSE HER.

NOW THEY WILL ANSWER FOR IT.

The truth has been uncovered. The lies that shaped a kingdom are unraveling. And the cost of reclaiming what was stolen may be more than the realms can survive.

Elyssara has endured betrayal, imprisonment, and the slow fracture of everything she once believed. But as the full force of her power awakens, she is no longer the girl the world tried to erase—she is something far more dangerous.

The consequence the Stars set in motion.

Kael Thorne has crossed every line to reach her. Kings have fallen. Alliances have shattered. History has been rewritten. But the war has already marked him—a creeping decay now coils through his veins, threatening to consume him from within. And still, he would defy curses, face down monarchs, and burn through gods and galaxies to reach her.

Yet the closer he gets to Elyssara, the clearer it becomes—she is not just fighting for the realms.

She is being called to remake them.

As gods rise, dragons shed mortal skin, and those who once stood as enemies are forced to fight side by side, the truth behind the memory-bound world is laid bare—leaving only one impossible choice:

hold on to the ones she loves—including the man she may already be losing—and watch the realms fall…

or rise and face a war she was never meant to win.

Because destiny was never meant to be gentle.

And when the Stars finally come to collect their due, not even gods will stand untouched.

I try to go into books with as little expectation as possible, but off of the back of re-reading book 1 & 2 in preparation for this ARC, my expectations were at an all time high. What followed was an emotional rollercoaster of a lifetime. From chapter 2, I knew that TSKHF was going to be an epic conclusion for this trilogy, because B.J. Wilde does not f* around. She writes masterpieces.
Every single line earnt it's place. No stone was left unturned. Every character pivotal to the story.
.
B.J writes in her content note, that trauma is not used for shock value, and what a change that is from some other reads. Yes, there are elements in this story that can be/are triggering for some, but each scene is handled with the utmost care. The way the human-ness shines through in each of the characters, the real-ness of what they feel, spoke to me in volumes. There was hardly a character that I did not relate to, or sympathise with in some way. I shared this in more detail with the 'wilderness ARC team', but for fear of spoilers they will not be shared here. Nothing makes you feel more SEEN in a story, than being able to relate to the struggles and the triumphs.
.
The inclusion of epigraphs at chapter openings fast became a highlight with this book, and the multi POV from the cast gave much more depth to the story than the previous two books. It allowed the story to progress, with the chance to see character development as the 'team' split up on their own missions towards the final goal.
.
Expect heartbreak, and not just once, but never just for the sake of writing heartbreak. Nothing B.J does is without thought and care, she pours her soul into these books and you can feel it. Expect to laugh out loud. Ronyn forever being the comic relief (but we also get to see a different side of him as well). Expect betrayal, from more than one front. Expect love in many forms. The spicy scenes as amazing as the previous books. Expect surprise, hope, being blindsided, dragons and witches. Expect everything...and nothing. Because you won't see this coming.
.
Final words of advice. If you can, re-read book 1 & 2 for full impact, and when you get to the last 20% of the book, clear your schedule. You won't want to put it down.

Quotes

"And he walks. He walks because stopping would mean feeling it, and he cannot survive that. So he does what he has always done - he keeps moving."

"He sees it then - the exhaustion. The kind of bone-deep tired that sleep can't touch. The kind that soft hands and safe walls can't undo. The kind that comes from being hollowed out slowly. Piece by piece. Until there is nothing left inside you that feels like it belongs to you."

" 'nothing' is the word people use when they can't survive the truth of what happened."

"Your blood means nothing to me, witch. I'll have your loyalty or your bones - you choose."

"actions have consequences, and belonging is earned. But obedience is cheap. It costs nothing but dignity. Loyalty? That should always cost something - but never the self. And she will not trade her spine for belonging."

"Because loneliness is its own kind of death. Not sudden or bloody or dramatic. Just a slow erosion of the self. A quiet voice that asks, night after night, whether anyone would notice if you disappeared. Whether anyone cares if you're hurting. Whether anyone cares at all."

"She runs until her lungs feel carved from fire. Runs until motion is the only thing left. Runs because standing still hurts more."

"Pain does not excuse cruelty. Trauma does not give the wounded permission to become destroyers themselves."

This series has been phenomenal! I had stumbled across the first book and devoured it and feel like it has been a dream come true to be a part of the ARC team for book 2 & 3 respectively.

This is what you call a finale!
“It is the inevitable end when your body panics before your mind can intervene”
This line stayed with me and feels like it sums it up 🙂

This author writes with sooo much feeling and it’s poetic! Beautiful and devastating all at once!
Truely you will find a little of yourself through these characters and the author is able to make you emotionally vested in them all! For me it’s one of the most powerful ways of writing a found family.
This finale was heart wrenching to say the least BUT I am heart wrenched in the most beautiful way!
Thank you Brit! Not sure if I will ever forgive you! 😘

This book has everything: magic, dragons, gods, witches, light and darkness, characters you'll love, characters you'll hate, a unique world, mysteries, shocking revelations, plot twists, powerful emotions, and multiple romance storylines. It will make you laugh, keep you on the edge of your seat, and yes... it will probably make you cry.

It's beautifully written. Every chapter opens with a short rhyming epigraph (and I don't even want to imagine how much work that must have taken), and every single one fits its chapter perfectly. On top of that, each chapter ends at the most suspenseful moment, leaving you with an irresistible need to keep reading. The story is packed with action, so there's never a chance to get bored. There are no slow moments. Something is always happening.

One of the things that makes this series - and this book especially - feel so unique is how much room the side characters are given to shine. And I absolutely love that. Every single one of them has a distinct personality, and each carries wounds from their past that they have to face throughout the series. Because the shadows of our past never truly disappear - it’s up to us whether we let them define us. Before you even realize it, you'll find yourself deeply attached to every member of this incredible found family. And once that happens, there's no going back. You'll be emotionally invested in these amazing fictional characters until the very end.

I finished this book yesterday (or maybe this book finished me) and I'm still trying to process everything. Even as I'm writing this review, I'm crying. Not only because this story completely shattered me, but also because it's over. I'm still processing some of what happened, and it still hurts a lot. The entire story was absolutely epic, building relentlessly toward an unforgettable finale.

Once again, I have nothing but admiration for Brit's courage. She had the guts to make the choices that hurt the most because they were the right ones for the story - not the easy ones. And that's exactly why this series got the ending it truly deserved.

An incredible book. An unforgettable series.

Thank you, Brit, for one of the most beautiful journeys I've ever experienced. I'll be forever grateful to have been part of it.

The Stars Kissed Her Feet is the epic conclusion to The Song of Stars Trilogy and what a way to end it!

Almost a year ago I stumbled upon an arc sign up for a book called The Sky Called Her Home. I ran, I saw the cover, read the blurb and knew it was going to be a masterpiece. And this final book solidifies that. This whole trilogy is nothing short of exceptional. Brit's writing is beautifully lyrical, completely immersive, reading her books feels like being transported into her world and into the minds of her characters.

In TSKHF we delve deeper into the characters, into their psyche, learn the very fabric of their being. Brit has managed to capture so many aspects of the human condition in these characters arcs, I saw a facet of myself in every thread of this book, in every single character and what they have been through. There is trauma, there is grief, but ultimately this final book is a story of reclaiming strength, of stepping into yourself regardless of what has hurt you or held you back before. It is a story of hope, a promise that even your darkest days will see the light of a new dawn.

Then there's the plot, the way the threads Brit weaved into the very first book unravel in this last is absolute literary genius. The layers in these books are finally pealed back and there were some reveals that I would never have seen coming from a mile away, I was literally open mouthed and gasping at so many chapters in this book.

There is heart break, there is loss, but there is not a word in this book that doesn't carry its weight. This ending to this fantastic trilogy was utter perfection. I couldn't imagine this story playing out any other way.

Brit has a reader for life in me, she is absolutely an auto buy author. I know she has big things planned for future books and I cannot wait to see what she does next!

From the dedication at the beginning, this story had my heart. I am so grateful to have recieved this Advance Reader Copy and return to the Known Realms to find out how it all turns out. It was every bit the emotional roller coaster I was expecting, and then some!

B.J. Wilde's writing style is so beautifully descriptive that I find myself absorbed right into the story.

The Stars Kissed Her Feet wraps up The Song of Stars trilogy in an epic, heartwrenching, realm-altering bow. We get to experience the story from the perspectives of all of our favourite found family from the first two books, as well as some new and important characters whom we've been waiting to meet. I loved being able to get inside the heads of more of the characters, to explore their relationships and really experience how essential they are to the story. Each chapter opens with a poetically foreboding epigraph, that truly set the scene for the story within that evolves and reveals and threads together all of the plot lines that kept me hooked until the very end. TSKHF takes us on a journey to reclaim and remake the realms complete with dragons, witches, political revelations, gods, magic, emptional ruin, and love that endures it all. Special mention to those spicy scenes that were hot, awkward, connecting, reverent and heartbreaking, sometimes all at once!

To be immersed in the story, to see myself in elements of the characters and feel all the feelings alongside them through the way a story is written is what makes the experience all the more potent for me. TSKHF kept me on edge from the beginning, through the struggles, truimphs and heartaches, and I will absolutely be keeping my eyes peeled for more stories by B.J. Wilde.

I don't think my words can do BJ Wildes writing justice this series is exceptional and beyond anything I ever thought I'd find in a fantasy romance series. The Stars Kissed Her Feet is the final installment in The Song of Stars Trilogy and was a heartbreaking yet beautiful way to finish the series.
I love so much about this book and the series as a whole, the writing is lyrical and emotive, the magic is unique and the characters are complex and intriguing and I felt truly connected to so many of them.
This final book is longer than previous books but it's expansion helps us delve into multiple POVs and really appreciate the journeys these characters go on. I fell further in love with pivotal side characters like Ronyn and Seren and loved seeing them step into their own power.
There are some truly heartwrenching moments in this book but you can trust Britt to handle the topics with care and guide you through. We also see love and intimacy in such a reverent and devoted way and these scenes are probably some of the best I've read. On top of the layered characters, beautiful writing and hot spicy scenes there's unique magic that expands so much in this book as well as witches and dragons. All of this culminates in an epic battle and an ending that just worked so well when I truly thought hope was lost. I cannot wait to see what Britt comes up with next because from now until the stars claim me I will love this trilogy.

The most brilliant end to a trilogy there ever could be. Feeling all the emotions, from sadness to a happiness that just doesn’t quite hit right. Brits writing is beautiful it really consumes you and feel the story right in your bones. You can tell how she’s poured enough of herself in the characters she’s made and how each of them remakes themselves throughout the story. The world building through book one and two paid off really well and she brought all the threads together to an almost perfect balanced end.

I would definitely read more of her works and I cannot wait for the broader world to discover her writing. It’s something that will stay with you for a long time!
