I’m actually disgusted 🤮. Don’t you dare call this a romance book or “dark romance” when 🍇 is so prevalent.
Major case of Stockholm syndrome over here and not the type I enjoy reading.
I also hate that I’ll probably read book 3 lol.

I really want to know how this author's mind works
When I say she turned this book around from the first one. I did not possibly know how she was going to make sweet all the bitter that happened in the first book, but she did. I knew he was coming to Earth, and I knew it. I really want to make sure Zane gets everything he deserves and then some. I wonder why she didn't tell them the whole story about the brother cause I feel like that sucker is coming back, maybe not. I am glad they were able to make it back, that they were able to get together on earth, and did not see them having allies. I was so sorry for this book to end. Oh my goodness, I loved it. I loved it . I loved it!

AMAZING like wow 5 stars!
Okay so for starters y’all know our girl loves to give us a good cliffhanger, I know this book isn’t the last of what we’ll see of Dionus and Naya. The complexities of their situation and the underlying issues of the society he grew up in all have me in a chokehold. SPOILER‼️-I want to know more about Olithia and the result of Karyek and Zora ‘s situation. What will Naya do after Dionus’s confession? Overall I’m on the edge of my seat. I never read many dark romances before this series but I absolutely am in love with it and the world building /plot. The Author’s goal is to make you feel something and boy does she do an amazing job in this series!

The plot thickens. 3.5 star read
This was a good addition to the story. I got a little list but I think it may have been user error. I didn’t really see the
transition from enemy to over, it just seemed to switch pretty quickly imo.
I liked the world building and discovering more people cared less about the species and more about the person. Virtual voice was done with the Aussie accent but not as jarring as times past.
I can’t wait to see how this all comes together in the end. How we decide who stays where and if the fight will reach earth.
All in all, not being a sci-fi fan, I AM an Alexandria da Great fan and know she will wrap this up somehow some way. I just hope Zane finally gets his in this next one!!

Why did I read book 2 if I didn’t really like book 1? I have no defense okay. It’s like reading a fanfic that you know is objectively bad but you wanna see what happens.
The MC had a personality transplant, that’s the only possible way he completely changed overnight from an unlikeable monster man to this suddenly insecure boy. I legit thought he had amnesia (why did he randomly introduce himself again and act like he didn’t know her??)
Parts of this book actually had some plot. Then we sorta lost the plot, and the smut and I kept reading so I could finish it.
…I’ll probably read book 3 just to be done with it.

The cover is interesting but deceptive. Book two is less dark. The captor/captive element is still there but the cruelty towards the FMC by the MMC has lessen greatly as he struggles to understand his feelings towards her. The FMC and her friends manage to reunite and get back home to earth with the help of some veraxians who doesn't believe in the force breeding program and want to stop it. The MMC pursue the FMC back to earth. Where he realizes his beliefs and treat of the FMC was wrong. There is a book three and I'm now vested in seeing how this story ends.

I think the author dropped the ball with her attempts to create the slow burn scenario. I think she was trying to reinforce it with the “forced proximity” via them being stranded on a beach. However, the attempt needed to have more focus on the effort. It fell flat.
Also, most of her work on Audible is via AI. That severely limits what people would read from her collection. After this series her works will go into the “not interested” pile. Why? She has too many good reviews with this same complaint for her not to hire actors to perform her books.

Way too short of a story!!!
I’m so glad that I gave this author a shot to impress me, I really didn’t know how to feel about her writing. Once I read the first book in this series, it was a game changer for me. I tip my hat to this author, the theme is dark but sometimes dark in good and if that’s not your thing then it’s not. I think this book is just as good as the first one but I am sad that I went through it so fast. I love the growth for the MMC and I can’t wait to read the 3rd book.

Better than the last
I like this one better than the first. I'm so very glad that she didn't just fall for him after how he treated her. I'm still not rooting for them based on how the books started its just too toxic to root for. However, I'm interested in the story and understand both perspectives. The last book I wanted to rate 2.5 but gave it a 3. This one is a true 3. I'm ready for the story to be over tho so I'll read the 3rd one. If there's anything after that oh well lol.

Intriguing
I enjoyed this second part of the story. Dionus and Naya have some much baggage to overcome between them. Dionus seems completely changed and humbled. But he needs to apologise for his previous behaviour, and they really need to talk through what happened on Varaux if they are to work out.

I read the previous book and this second book; even though it's not a love story that I would normally finish. Both Naya and Dionus have multiple sex partners which usually ruins the story for me. However, this book was written so oddly that I wanted to know what would happen next. I can't say I enjoyed reading any of it, so what does that mean?

Failed Transition from enemies to lovers
Let me start by stating the fact that there are blue, gray , pale white alien humanoids , but somehow brown skin is where these aliens draw line is very odd. Also the transition from enemies to lovers horrible . The male lead HATED her then al of sudden cared for her ? No slow burn build to a connection..

Better?
He tries to make up for what he did, but I'm still on the 'no way' side of things. Enemies to lovers? More like enemies to friends with strong feelings for each other. Learning to love your captor is a whole other level. At least this has some reconciliation and the beginnings of change in a very toxic power dynamic.

2 ⭐️’s. I just didn’t like this one as much as book 1. The story dragged out. I had a lot of unanswered questions. The ending is unresolved and leads to book 3, which isn’t out yet.
Books 1&2 are not romances. I do not like the multiple sexual partners.

Ok...
I read book one and hoped it would get better, but not so much. I love the futuristic aspects of the storyline. Did not love that the characters/slaves had a severe case of Stockholm syndrome. Maybe a good read for some, but not for me. I won't be reading book 3.

I enjoyes the slow burn here. The relationship between the 2 main character's is a little morbid. I had gotten stockholm syndrome vibes in the first book but this kind of smooth things out. I think I would reread the series.

I honestly chose this read for the heavy 🌶🌶🌶🌶 and it did not disappoint!!!🔥 However, it was unexpectedly much deeper content included! Really gets thoughts going on ethics, politics, space and time theory, our universe, our history (both recent and ancient). It was a welcomed deeper think!

I fell like maybe its better than book one. Its really not that great but for whatever reason Im sucked in so. 🤷♀️🤷♀️. At least ghe FMC escaped and got her freedom back.

Another good installment. As always the stories never go how or where you think they are going. I have no clue what is going to happen next. I’m just along for the ride. With each story, the visuals make more sense and I like that cause they seem so random.
