When Stacey Grice got in touch with me and told me her follow up book from Totaled was finished and would I like to read it.....would I like to read it! Would I!!! Too right I would.

It was lovely to catch up with Bree and Drew. There was so much devastation in they're relationship I was wondering where the author may go with this.

I thought she did a very good job with book 2. I read this in one sitting yesterday as I wanted to know, would this all end happy or not.

So many times things work out, but I had a feeling this just might not. But was I wrong? YOU will have to see.

The beginning of the book was startling, OMG, what an opening to a book......that is all I have to stay.

Bree? Her heart was heavy and sad.
Drew? He was equally so, but could he overcome what was ailing him.

Yet again YOU will have to read and find this out.

*Thank you Stacey Grice for contacting me completely out of the blue and remembering how much I loved your first book, enough to connect with me and ask me to read your follow up, its very much appreciated*

~ 4 "Redeeming" Stars ~

Tapped is the second book in Stacey Grice's series. This book is a continuation of book 1, Totaled. Tapped takes off right where Totaled ended. This is NOT a standalone book. You definitely need to read the first book before going into this one or you will be completely lost.

Just like in Stacey's debut book, I thought this book was an enjoyable and emotional read. For only being her second book published I think Stacey did a fantastic job completing Bree and Drew's Journey. This book deals with a serious subject matter, such as PTSD. I thought Stacey did an amazing job getting the reader into the head of a person who suffers from this disorder and what they go through on a day to day basis. She accurately portrayed that when dealing with PTSD you have to remember that it isn't a quick and easy fix….it's not a sprint but a marathon. But as long as you have loving, loyal and supportive people around you can get through anything. My only negative with this story, is that I was hoping to see more of Drew and Bree together. I wanted to see them happy together for more of the book. It's hard to explain what I mean without spoiling the storyline, so I guess you'll just have to read the book to understand what I am saying ;) This in no way took away my enjoyment of the book.

Like in book 1, Tapped is told in Dual POV. I think that was the right direction to go with this story, because we really needed to be in both characters heads to appreciate everything they are going through. Drew and Bree do not have an easy road ahead of them in this book. They definitely have a lot to overcome and work out. I have to say that I really loved Bree in this book. She was such a strong character. After everything that happened in book 1, she never faltered when it came to her love for Drew. No matter who told her to move on and forget about him, she wasn't willing to do that. I loved watching her be his rock in this journey. Drew was such a broken soul in this book….it was heartbreaking watching everything he went through and all that he had to overcome. I was glad to see that even after a small time of weakness, with the help of therapy, he was able to get things back on track for him and learned to love himself and realize that the things in the past weren't his fault.

We get to see all the same secondary characters in this book. I have to be honest and say that I trouble with a couple of the secondaries in this book. Pat (Bree's Father) and Sue (Bree's BFF) I really wasn't happy with them for the majority of the book. Pat was just an overbearing parent, that I thought Bree should have told to stuff it. She was an adult and he treated her like she was a teenager. I understood why he reacted the way he did, but he also needed to learn to let her go and make her own mind up. I was glad to see that Sue eventually came around, but I still think she was a little hard on Bree and Drew also. I would've liked to learn a little more about Liam in this book. There were questions raised about him in my mind while reading this book and I don't feel they were every really answered. It's not anything that is bothersome, I use felt more could've been revealed about his feelings during this book.

I would recommend this book/series to anyone who is a fan of a MMA story. I think everyone should give this author a shot, because I know that I will continue to read whatever she publishes.

Since I finished book one I've been looking forward to reading this. The author didn't disappointed me. In fact she blew my expectations out of the park.

I can't really go into the storyline as it may ruin it for people who still haven't read book one( although seriously you need to read them both). I will say the author portrayed these characters brilliantly. They came across as real which I loved. The pain Drew was going through just jumped off the pages. Bree knew what she wanted and she fought for both of them.

I thoroughly loved this book. Heart was in my mouth edge of seat kinda read. Perfect!!

I was given a copy for an honest review.

I have been waiting not so patiently for Tapped to come out, so when this showed up on eReader my world literally came to a halt! If you read and loved Totaled you feel my pain, that cliffhanger, oh my word. But Stacey blew me away with Trapped, it was filled with so much substance that it was so much more then a love story between two people!

Tapped picks up right where Totaled leaves off. I really do not want to give anything away in my review. But my heart literally broke dor Drew and Bree. How much can two popeople really take? Drew dealing with the consequences of his actions and Bree trying to come to grips with everything that has happened leaves these two reeling in their heads and emotions!

This book was filled with so much emotion, I literally felt for these characters and everything they were being put through, but it was necessary. I love the characters, not just Drew and Bree, but Sue and Liam of course. Then there is Mick who has some of the best advice and wisedom. I felt myself rooting for Drew and Bree to get the happy ending they so deserve! But has too much damage been done? Is it true that sometimes love just isn't enough?

I would absolutley recommend this book and series to everyone. I fell in love with the characters and Stacey's writing. I can not wait for what ever else she comes up with! Yes I am secretly hoping for more!!!

I have to say first and foremost, Stacey’s writing definitely progressed with this second book and I am very happy for that. And what my favorite part about this book was? The redemption. Drew’s redemption. Pat’s. Bree’s. All of their redemption. I feel like Stacey wrapped up Drew and Bree’s story perfectly.

What I was not crazy about was how drawn out everything was. I felt like some of the things and some details and descriptions could have been executed in the book and it would have still turned out just fine. That seems to be the only thing that really stuck out to me.

I don’t think I addressed the dual POV in my review of the first book but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I always love when I am able to crawl inside the male brain and Drew was perfectly “manly” and sensitive enough for me and his inner dialogue was entertaining.

Oh when I mentioned redemption up above I should have brought Sue back up! I enjoyed Sue so much more in this book. Her character was more “serious” to me and definitely more supportive.

All in all, this two book series was a great read. They were both quick and smooth reads not too heavy and not too light. I love this genre. I feel like this is the genre that got me back into reading and that’s a huge plus for me. The angst level in these two books were just enough to keep my anxious enough to power through to the ending. And I never finish series so I think that that should speak volumes.

I had the honor of beta reading this book for Stacey, and let's just say she blew me away. I was so impressed with the story line in Totaled, and less impressed with the writing... keeping in mind that Totaled was her debut, I didn't give up on this story. Tapped was amazing! She has grown so much as an author and really developed her skill with this book.

Stacey left us with a huge cliffhanger in Totaled and Tapped picks up right where it left off. The best part of this book, is how much more she develops her characters. I loved them in the first book, but I could now connect with them. Mick is outstanding. He is probably my favorite character in the entire book. You also got to see an extremely awesome relationship between Drew and his coach, Pat, and some very relatable feelings between the two. It was so nice reading a story where one lover isn't trying to fix/save the other. Drew and Bree are both such strong characters. I loved seeing Drew with his therapist as well. It's strange to see such a physically strong athlete show such weakness psychologically, but stepping up to the plate and accepting the help when it's needed.

As far as the writing... so much improved. Much smoother transitions, more relatable story-line and just deserves a read.

My 5 star review of Tapped

Stacey Grice is a fairly new author, she hasn’t been around long- and this is only her second book. However, that in no way indicates that her writing is “new.” She is a fantastic author and if I had to guess by just the works I have read, I could say that she has been around for a while and has a bright future ahead of her. Being one of her Beta readers, I got first hand insider information on Totaled and Tapped, and I really love the process of giving feedback- and take it very seriously. To the point where I took it chapter by chapter- and really digested all of her words. I really got the path of the story that she wanted to tell, and knew that it was my job to help make it soar; help her from a readers standpoint- something I enjoy the hell out of.

We last left off in Totaled with Drew having a PTSD flashback happen while he was in bed with Bree- and holy hell my heart was a pounding at the end of that book! I knew, just knew, it was going to end there and Stacey was going to make us hungry for more, and that she did. So when Tapped started back up- where Totaled left off, I was forced to remember all of the emotions I felt at the beginning of the first book. And I can honestly say, they aren’t really fond memories. I remember how Bree felt after Drew attacked her- and how torn up she was about it. It made me feel sick to my stomach thinking about what I would do in the same situation. On the one hand, Bree is totally in love with Drew and she knows he wasn’t in his right mind doing what he did. And on the other- he beat her ass. Period. End of Story. It was going to be a long road to recovery for the both of them- and all the key characters from last book, are back to help them along the way.

I really enjoyed the character depth given to Mick and Pat. Mick was in the first book, and he was the one who picked Drew up and invited him into his home- and introduced him to Pat, who is Bree’s father. Pat was really stern in this book, and it can come off as him being an ass- but to me, because I am a mother of a young girl, it seemed like he was just protecting his only daughter from harm and I couldn’t fault him for that at all. Mick once again took Drew in after the fight with Bree and they were apart for a long time- so that Drew could begin to heal- and deal with his life and what he did. And Sue is back, she is such a great best friend and character- as well as Liam. Poor Liam- when he understood what happened to Bree it just about broke me!!

Drew beat himself up a lot, but understandably so. He had to get it under control- and his therapist actually helped him talk through a lot of problems he had in his past, and the demons he was still dealing with. Drew really did grow over the course of this novel and I was proud of him by the end.

Bree was and is a strong ass heroine. She took a beating and kept on living her life to the fullest. She was crazy upset with her dad for keeping the two apart- but I think after a while she finally understood where he was coming from. I did really like when she stood up for herself though- after she had had enough from her dad. I mean it was her one true love.

I think Stacey has a strong voice, and will continue to tell fantastic stories. With lovable alpha male characters, kick ass sassy female heroines, wise sidekicks, and the funny characters that we all love. I can’t wait for more from Stacey, and I hope with all hope that I am able to beta again for her in the future- she is someone I can stand behind.

4.25 out of 5 BLUSHES!!!!!

Honestly... When I read TOTALED (Book 1 in the Totaled Series) I was left hoping for so much more depth from the characters and so much MORE in general.

STACEY GRICE HAS TOTALED ME WITH TAPPED!!!

What a GREAT book! We were left with a pretty major cliffhanger in Totaled and Stacey picks right back up, in TAPPED, where she had left us hanging off that cliff. The story's progression is a perfect flow filled, with torment and love, heartbreak and growth.

In TAPPED, we follow Drew in the aftermath of what he had done by the end of Stacey's first book. We follow Drew and fall SO IN LOVE WITH HIM as he faces his demons and struggles with what is best for Bree more than for himself. But it's a GREAT and HOPEFUL story and I enjoyed it immensely!!!

"Grief is like the ocean; it comes in waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and something it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn how to swim."- Vicky Harrison

What I really loved about TAPPED is that Drew that's an MMA fighter, strong physically, but mentally dealing with some pretty major issues that require therapy. And Bree is the strong female that has it all together. She runs her household for her father and brother, essentially run her family's gym, goes to school and does EVERYTHING for EVERYONE. I really loved that it wasn't another "damsel in distress" book. This time we are reading how a MAN would possibly react and go through the motions of getting help. EXCELLENT!

I fell in love with each of these characters. Liam, Bree's brother wasn't a huge part this time but I felt what he showed spoke volumes! Pat & Mick were so fantastic in how they handled Drew. Bree, in her never giving up on the love she had for Drew. Fighting for him, for THEM. And Drew... I liked him before... but I FULL BLOWN LOVE THIS MAN NOW!!!!!! He's truly kind, and respectful, and puts others first. He tries to do the right thing all the time. He's noble and BRAVE. He Fights Hard... He LOVES Hard... He's romantic but genuine. He might have just made it into my Top 5 book boyfriends EVER!

"We are all full of marks. Some we gave ourselves, some inflicted by others. Some temporary nicks and dents, and other permanent, scarring us as reminders of what we've gone through in life forever. Everything we've ever said or done to a person leave some sort of mark. We smudge ans stain the ones that surround us with hurtful comments. We stamp their hearts with pain. But we also score their souls with love, affection, happiness, and gratitude. We imprint on them with everything that we are..."
-Drew Dougherty

Great Job Stacey!! I LOVED this book! You ROCKED it!! And to all the BETAs who helped you out... Awesome Job!!!

This is the conclusion to Totaled so if you have not read it yet, then what are you waiting for! I finished this book a couple weeks and have been trying to find the right words to make this review perfect as I feel my review for Totaled didn’t do that book any justice. Stacey’s books’ are so detailed and developed that the scenes jump of the pages. I loved both of these books because who doesn’t love a drop, dead gorgeous fighter, a powerful, strong and independent woman plus some romance, which is my kryptonite – hopeless romantic here <3
There are so many more emotions involved in this book – hate, anger, sadness, fear and love. Totaled left off by Bree waking up in a real life nightmare – broken and confused. Drew has committed the unthinkable but in his own defense, he has some major baggage that caused him to become someone he is not. In Tapped we follow Bree fight with her head and heart along with family and friends while Drew does everything in his power to get his life back together and win back the one person that matters the most – Bree - but first he must show her family that he is changed man which is not easy considering her dad is ready to have his head on a platter.
Follow Bree & Drew as they both learn who they really are, seek the help & forgiveness needed to move and fall in love all over again!!

I was fortunate enough to win an ARC of Tapped from Stacey Grice. I loved Totaled and couldn't wait to find out what happens to Drew and Bree. I loved this book!! The supporting characters are all lovable and you get to learn each of their personalities. I rooted for Drew and Bree the entire time, in my mind love conquers all. The story held my interest all the way through and I felt the pain and struggle the characters went through. The story is one of love, determination, grit, drive and healing. You will love this story, it warmed my heart and made me tear up (a couple times).

Go n-éirí an t-ádh leat to you my friend! <3

If you loved Totaled (and let's be honest, how could you not?) you will be absolutely thrilled with Tapped. It picks up right where Totaled left us hanging and takes us on a journey with Drew and Bree as they attempt to figure out what comes next. I connected with these characters like they were my friends. I wanted to comfort Drew while he wrestled with his demons and hug Bree in her moments of doubt. I didn't think it possible to love Stacey's writing more, but Tapped absolutely proved me wrong!

I am so thankful that I had Tapped and was able to start it as soon as I finished Totaled. The ending of Totaled broke my heart and I honestly wasn't sure how Stacey would be able to pull it all together in this book. But somehow she managed to lead us through their struggles while making us feel exactly what Drew and Bree were feeling. I also loved that we got to know some of the other characters better in this book, like Liam, Sue and Mick. Overall, it was a great continuation of Drew and Bree's story!

Tapped was the strongest sequel I have read in a long time. I am in awe of the intricacy of the storyline - the connection Drew and Bree have, but more interesting to me in this book, was the incredible detail and research that went into Drew's illness. The trauma, hurt and torment that this man endured, came alive on the pages. All of the characters of Tapped were so alive and relatable.
I loved this book and its predecessor and I look SO forward to reading many more amazing pros from Miss Stacey Grice.

I have to give you props for the way you made this story (both books) feel so real. I know from personal experience what it is like to go through your childhood in this type of situation. I actually had to put it away for awhile because I was reliving some things from my past and it was kind of scary. It really does help to sit or hang with someone to discuss and not hold it in. I loved how no matter what, he would do whatever it takes to get help and that she would be there to help him. I would live to see more from this small town and what happens with all of them.

Thank you Stacey for Tapped. I can not say enough of how much I love Drew and Bree. I absolutely adore them both and my heart felt all their emotions. I can't say too much without giving stuff away. And trust me OMG I have a ton I want to say. So I am just going to keep it simple and say I loved these books so much! Read them! Seriously, do it! They are so great!

I received the book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, what a story, I loved it! Drew and Bree were very likable characters as well as most of the supporting cast. The story was emotional and it gave me goosebumps at times. Unfortunately I did not read the first book, Totaled, now I will have to.
