This is the first book I have read from this author and I am disappointed that I haven't read more. I received this book and was asked to read and review through my blog on Facebook and I am so glad that I did. I will be purchasing more fron this authors.

You have Michael Love ,"Glove" is a former Marine that has been enlisted into a elite group called HORN. This group doesn't exist. his team is made up of His best friends Lordy,Grim and Jazz. Best friends that would die for each other. They protect the ones they love,but Michael has failed in the past an it haunts him still.
He was in and out of foster homes and the one person that needed him he didn't save. He feels like a total mess up, failure and feels he can never do anything right. He chooses to forget the past by drinking and being with a lot of woman hence the nickname the guys gave him, Glove, from his line, No glove, No love. And the one person he wants won't give him the time of day until, she does. but little did he know she has issues of her own and everyone tries to warn him but he doesn't listen.
Mandy is the best friend of his teammate Grim's wife, Haven. All best friends ,but Michael wants more. he is in love with her. Mandy struggles with her family because she doesn't do what they want her to do. She doesn't like to be told her life. Her sister, the poster child, is getting married and her parents are trying to set up a date for her for the wedding and in her frustration says she has boyfriend when she doesn't. so being in a jam she enlists Michael to be her savor. He agrees under the condition she makes him food. As the days go on they get closer and micheal has hope! a
But when Michaels past comes to light ,the one he couldn't save, the one why he feels like such a failure. One night of passion leads into more. He thinks he has her,but Mandy is a mess not wanting to please her father she hurts Michael. Michael wasn't supposed to fall in love,her family wasn't supposed to fall in love and neither was she. Will these to be able to move a past their demons or will it destroy what they can have?

This story while pulling at the heart strings has you fighting for this couple and the interactions of the team was amazing. The loyalty and jokester attitudes towards each other was great . I was literally upset then laughing my butt off. I couldn't put this book down once I started reading. I highly recommend this for the mature audience. You won't be disappointed. I look forward to reading more from this author

Mandy that girl likes to tease Glove and it's quite funny and entertaining at times, "oh I am not what's for breakfast,” she gripes at me heading for the door. To my surprise she looks back over her shoulder and playfully says, “I taste much better.” My c*** hardens to the point of painful at the words forcing me to stifle a groan." Glove is quite possessive of Mandy's boobies, "I almost saw nipple!” I stand up for myself and Lordy laughs into his balled up fist. “I mean, I wanna see nipple. Eff, I wanna see nipple, but I don't think everyone else deserves to see your nipples." There are times the boy can't give a straight answer and it's funny:
"Being horny?”
“Michael.”
"Extremely horny?”
“Michael..."
I loved this book I knew I would love Glove's story just from reading Clint's.

Excellent!

Oh Glove, there is much more to you than you let people see. My heart just breaks for you and what you hold inside.

Glove (aka Michael Love) is known for sleeping with anyone he can and making sexual innuendos in every conversation. He’s constantly sarcastic and always tries to make light of any situation. Though no one knows the pain he is trying to drown out with all the sex and booze.

When Glove was younger he made a promise, and it’s haunted him every day since he wasn’t able to keep it. But there is one person who helps ease the pain away from that broken promise. She comes in a sexy package and is just as sarcastic as Glove himself. Her name is Mandy, and she may just be Glove’s best friend. Over the last few months, he’s let her see parts of him that he’s never let anyone else see.

However, one favor from her can change their relationship forever.

Mandy asks Glove to “pretend” to be her boyfriend for a few events before her sister’s wedding. He never expected to finally be able to touch this woman in ways he’s been dreaming of doing. Too bad she has her own issues that may just run him away for good.

Along with the issues he’s been having with Mandy, he’s been assigned to a mission. Something that may help him finally fulfill that promise to a little girl from his past.

Will Glove be able to save the little girl from his past, and work things out with Mandy. Or is this a situation where it’s one or the other.

You’ll just have to read the story to find out.

I think I may like Glove more than Clint (don’t tell him that though). Once you are finally able to see the true Glove, he really isn’t as bad as he makes everyone else believe. I’m really interested to see what Xavier has in store for Lordy. I’m sure his ride to happiness is going to be just as bumpy as everyone else’s.

What a thrilling ride Xavier Neal took me on in Collapse! Once I started reading, I didn’t stop until I had finished the last page. Seriously…I read this book in just a couple of hours.

Collapse is Michael Love’s (aka Glove) story…what a story he has. He has so much going on under that sexy exterior. When you first see him, you see a sarcastic, cocky sex god! This man has the sexiest dirtiest mouth EVER! Yum! But underneath, he’s the sensitive, scared foster kid that thinks he is always the screw up especially after he isn’t able to keep his promise to protect a young girl who was in foster care with him, even though he had no control in the situation. He has never forgiven himself for that, so he is plagued by nightmares. The only things that help him forget is sex and booze but only temporarily. The nightmares always return.

There is one woman, Mandy, who makes him believe in the possibility of love. They are friends since their best friends are married to one another, but Glove thinks he could never be good enough for her. The sexual tension between the two threatens to explode especially after Mandy persuades him to pose as her boyfriend for her “perfect” sister’s wedding. Just as things heat up between them, complications arise in their relationship, and Glove’s past clashes with his present with the opportunity to make good on his promise made to that little girl so long ago.

Loved, loved this book. Collapse is romantic suspense at its best, complete with a sexy as he$$ hero! Once you meet Glove, I think you will agree with me that he could rescue you anytime!

Collapse is a standalone in the Havoc series. Reading the complete series allows you to learn more about Glove. Michael "Glove" Love is a player, he is sarcastic and the class clown. He covered up all his hurt and pain by making smart comments and getting people to laugh. Until he meets Mandy, Haven's best friend. The first women ever to make him want a relationship. She becomes friends with him but never seems to want to take it any farther. When his past comes back in the form of Khloe, the little girl he tried to save and couldn't. It throws his world into a tailspin, All the anger and feelings start to surface. Then Mandy needs him to be her pretend boyfriend for her sisters wedding. He thinks he finally can get his chance to show her how he really feels.

While Glove was mentioned a lot in Grim and Haven's story. You never really got to know him. Something just told you there was more to him then what he showed the world. At times he was quite annoying. I can say I honestly never saw it coming. HIs past and what he went through is so much more then I expected. It explains so much about why he acted the way he did. Mandy wasn't as happy go lucky as she made herself seem either. They both had issues that needed to be dealt with before forming a lasting relationship. At times this book seems to be more about Khloe and Glove then Glove and Mandy. They both play an important role in learning who Glove really is.

I am so looking forward to Lordy's story. Together with Jazz it should prove to be a steamy one

Xavier Neal you are a Goddess! I dont know how you do it, but you manage to pull me into the story lines of all of your books and keep me entranced until nothing exists except finishing the story.

Getting to know Micheal, the real Micheal, and not his cocky public persona of Glove was more then i ever could have imagined! To get to know the man unsure man inside the person that always seemed so confident and self assured was heart breaking and exhilarating at the same time.

And we always knew that he and Mandy were a match for each other but seeing their story play out we get to see just how much of a match they really are. Both showing each other (and us) a side of themselves that they keep hidden, telling each other their desperately held private secrets, and working through their feelings for each other and showing just how vulnerable and fragile their hearts both are.

I have loved every book in this series! I cant wait for Lordy's story. I highly suggest reading any of Xavier's series, but I also warn that you will need tissues and wine and uninterupted time as you will NOT want to put a book down before it is finished. I also recommending buying the bulk packs of her series if available because there is no doubt that you will only be able to read only 1 book in a series without immediately wanting the next!

I'm not even for sure where to start with this one. All I know is get ready to have your heart ripped out, stomped on, chewed up, put back in and sewed together just to have it done all over again. GAHHHHHH.......

We all fell in love with Glove in the rest of the Havoc series, but when you read his story you will be done for. Check and Mate ladies!!!!! Glove has had a horrible up bringing, and his past clings to him like a black shadow that he can't seem to shake. Now we all know he has feelings for Mandy, so when she asks for a favor from him he just can't refuse. When these two start to get together it is super cute, and funny as hell. Mandy tries and tries not to like him, but we are talking about Glove here. The two are a matched made in heaven.

Now back to Glove, we all know that he is part of the HORN unit with our favorites Grim and Lordy. They have been through wars together, and top secret missions. But this mission is probably the hardest to date. Get ready to have your heart stop ladies, cause I know mine did!!! I FLOVE this book so much! Xavier gave Glove an amazing story, and now I'm ready for Lordy's. That on is going to be fun!

5 Superhero Stars!

Another amazing story from Xavier Neal! This author never fails to amazed me with her ideas.
COLLAPSE can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend for a better and enjoyable reading to read the first three books (Havoc series) because you will see a lot of Glove and Mandy in that book.
I never expected this kind of story for Glove! Honestly, more than the story about him and Mandy, it is his relationship with Khloe that struck me big time! I have tears in certain scene and for that, Glove will always be special to me.
Now, I think i need a follow up story for Mandy and Glove, something that focuses in their love story because i can feela there are still a lot to tell about them and the impatient side as a reader in me is so giddy to know! Haha
I am also curious with other characters in HORN Unit like Merlin!!
I love how this book shows what brotherhood really is, how Grim, Glive and Lordy is different from other marines and I am so looking forward for more of their stories and my idol Jazz!

Another amazing release from xavier.

Wow what an intense look into the world of glove(Michael).

This book hit me with the feels, such an emotional tale, glove has been through a lot, and he's about to learn more about himself than he ever wanted.
-When you hear the truth of how you came to be and its noting like you expected.
-past "failings" still haunting your existence.
Can glove be saved & enabled to move on with his life? Or will his past continue to haunt him?

I said at the beginning of my review this book hit me with the feels. I wasn't lying, xavier caught me of guard with this book, it's such a deep tale, a heat stoping, tear bringing, chocolate needing tale. That manages to leave you feeling healed.
That ending just perfect <3
I cannot wait to see where xavier will take this series next.

O.M.Glove

I adore Glove. I love his smart mouth, his easy laugh. He is a bit of a man whore (buy hey, he's a freaking sexy marine). Mandy is carefree, a bit loud, but enjoys every moment she can. After watching Clint and Haven's relationship grow ( GO read the first 3 books), they are a bit cautious, walking carefully around the attraction they feel. Behind the laughter, the sex and good times, you can find the secrets and scars no one can see.

Glove's next mission will put his not so forgotten past back in his face, causing things that were buried deep to resurface. Mandy's favor isn't helping him keep his demons away either. Glove's help is forcing Mandy to acknoledge her own self distructive habits and patterns. Sometimes, the person who you shouldn't be with, who you should stay away from at all costs, is the only one who can shed light on your darkness and see past what is shown to the world.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review and I gotta say it was an amazing story.

When I first started this book I had a little trouble getting into it but once I got past the first 2 chapters I couldn't put it down. Michael or glove, doesn't believe he is worth anything and lives his life trying to prove to himself that he is not worthless while Mandy had always tried to get her parents attention any way she can even if that means doing what they dislike. The author really gave great insight into what makes Michael the way he is and shows us how both Michael and Mandy learn to believe in themselves.

The secondary characters are great and I think I'll go back and read all the other books in this series just to read their stories.

Such a moving story that I recommend to all who love a good romance with a bit of heroics and good old fashioned heated scenes.

Another amazing book to add to the Havoc series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this baby! Michael Love aka Glove stole a piece of my heart! I found myself not being able to put this one down, and I loved Mandy and Michael's witty banter going back and forth. If you haven't read any of the Havoc series, I highly recommend. This series will steal your heart. All three (Clint, Glove and Lordy) are amazing and strong. Their stories will have you laughing, crying and wanting more! I cant wait for Lordy and Jaz's book to come out next! 5 BIG STARS!

FRICKIN AMAZING
A foster Kid that nobody wanted, a promise he made to his foster sister was broken when he joined the Marines. All his fuck up and failures haunts his dreams. With the Marines he finally finds a family. But his failures hold him back from connecting with anyone. Michael meets Mandy and for the first time he wishes he could be the man that she deserves. The person that does not destroy everything he touches. I have not been this excited about a story in quite a while. It was an all nighter, once I started I had to finish. I was on the edge of my sit. This is being put on my list of best top 5. I hope I did this amazing story some justice……..

Michael "Glove" Love is part of the special forces horn unit along with his buddies. there jobs are very dangerous. when not at Horn he likes to enjoy drinking an getting lost in a girl instead of his issues. I guess being a man whore helps solves problems?

glove met mandy thru a mutual friend. mandy ask glove to be her pretend date to her sisters wedding, of course he agrees on conditions.

gloves past comes back to haunt him. before he would go get drunk and take a random girl home but this time he gets lost in mandy. will it ruin there friendship? or will this blossom into something beautiful?

In Xavier Neal's latest, Collapse, we get to know Michael "Glove" Love. Who knew there was so much in the heart of a man who's mantra was "no glove, no love"? When Mandy, the girl Michael has loved since the first time she looked at him and said "ewww" asks him for a favor, he swears he won't break another promise like he has in the past. Hmmm.....doesn't that make you wonder?? And with that, we delve into Michael's past and find out what made Michael become Glove. And of course, we get to hear more about Clint, Lordy, and Jazz, our other favorite Marines!!

My favorite so far in the Havoc Series!!

Glove and Mandy's story was perfect from being to end. This book gave you insight to Michael Glove that makes it impossible not to love him. Mandy is just who he needs to balance him out. My heart hurt for all the guilt and pressure Glove put on himself for things a child/young man should never have to face let alone actively deal with on a daily basis. Knowing he held all that in for so many years breaks my heart. His heart is out of this world. I still love me some Clint, but Glove has taken over as my favorite!

I want more of Mr. Love. He won my heart though the whole book. The Chemistry they that was shared was like fireworks going of on the fourth of july and even on the world series. The only thing i hated about Glove was the fact that he tore himself down a lot and he shouldn't do that. He has so many people in his court

Glove's story. I took most of today to try and get a little distance from this heart-wrencher. I didn't think these characters had any more secrets left, after Havoc. God, was I ever wrong! This was an amazing journey with the lover of the trio if marines. Bring a box of tissues, though, this one is emotionally charged!

This was the first book I have read from Xavier Neal, and let me say I am so glad I did. It was amazing! It made me feel so many emotions that I laughed and cried sometimes at the same time. If you haven't read this book yet you should. I just wanted to hug the main characters so much. No one should miss out on this gem of a novel. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series.

Well I thought I loved Cint!! Believe me I do, but my my my, Glove, which at the time was my least fave character quickly became my fave of all of Xavier's men!! I can relate to him in a way I didn't would even be possible!!! Glove will melt ur heart!!! Absolutely loved it!!!

We move on from Clint and Haven slightly with this book to Michael or Glove as we know him better. He had a tough background, stuck in foster care with no chance of being adopted. On top he was concerned for his foster sister having found out she was being abused, he promised to protect her and he tried but never found out if he actually got her out. Mandy is Haven's best friend, we know there is an attraction but up till now neither her or Glove have acted on that other than friendship. Workwise the case the guys have been progressively investigating starts to get somewhere. With lots going on and a few twists just to throw us a curve ball this is interesting and engrossing read, with some suspense to keep us on the edge of our seats as well. I'm glad that this author didn't just finish the series without giving us the insight into Glove and (next book)Lordy, they played such a big part of Clint and Haven's books it would have left a huge gap. Each of the books in series has held my attention throughout, the characters are loveable and easy to love and though Glove's story isn't completely plain sailing or pain free it isn't quite as intense emotionally as the first 3, which is a bit of a relief for the permanent lump I had in my throat. Great read and well worth investing in this series, I would suggest reading all to get the full story and in order.

Collapse is book 4 in the Havoc series, but can be read as a stand alone.

Out of every single book I have read by Xavier Neal,  and I've read all but one, Collapse has left the biggest emotional impact. I laughed, I cried, and I fell head over heels in love.

Judging by his demeanor in the other books in the Havoc series I could have never even begun to fathom Michael's (Glove) depth. I most certainly would have been quick to deny him standing a remote chance of being my favorite male character. I have NEVER been so wrong. Michael's story  devoured me, heart and soul.

He has a tragic past and his  vulnerabilities consumed me. The joking and feigning ignorance is just a facade of protection.

Mandy, the female protagonist, is a witty, sexy character I absolutely love. Her desire to protect her heart is easily relatable.  Her laid back demeanor is refreshing. She's hard headed, intelligent, and fun.

Michael and Mandy's relationship/friendship is soul deep. It is the kind of relationship that is craved and one that comforts. The tension between the two is utterly intoxicating.  I will not ever get enough of these two.

On a side note, I am thoroughly impressed at the progress Neal makes as a writer. The fluidity of the prose is flawless.  It took nothing to suck me into the story and hold my intrigue until the end. This is one of the best stories I have ever read. I am over the moon to have it on my bookshelf.

I was given this book in turn for an honest review!!!

Glove has a great job, amazing friends and an easy go attitude; he should be feeling on top of the world. Deep down he’s ripping himself apart; when a mission calls for him to relive his haunting past will he be able to cope? Or will everything come crashing down around him? Including the only woman he has ever loved.

Glove’s story has blown me away; Xavier Neal has yet again surprised me and put a twist on this story you won’t expect. Glove has a heart of gold and a haunting past; the blame he puts on himself for his past is heart wrenching; he can’t see how truly amazing he is. I wanted to crawl into my kindle and give him a huge hug, I also wanted to crawl into my kindle and give Mandy a slap, although I loved her character. Glove and Mandy are so perfect for each other; each with a quick witted sense of humour. Grim and Lordy are as sweet and funny as ever. This trio not only have each other’s back, they also have a take no crap attitude and they don’t hold back on telling the other what they think; just one of the many things I absolutely love about them. I can’t wait to start Lordy’s story in Devastate.

If you have read books #1-3 in the Havoc series you won’t want to miss out on Glove’s story in Collapse. If you love military romances, with humour, suspense and HOT men you will absolutely love the Havoc series by Xavier Neal.

This book is part of a series. However you can read it as a stand alone. Which was perfectly fine because you still love Michael. You get to know more about him and the reason why he is part of this Special Force team.

You get a glimpse of how he is with some of his friends. You will want a bit more of Michael. I have a feeling I am going to read the books before in the Havoc series. All the characters from the Team are interesting. All unique.

As for Michael. He is absolutely loveable and is fiercely protective other his love ones. He finds the girl he took care of when he was a kid and will not stop at anything to get her back from the terrible life she has lived so far.

Don't worry. There is a love story as well. Sweet and sexy. You get the full package: Love, great characters, a solid storyline that has surprises in it and a great ending. That is all you need.


I rate the book a 4. A quick read and will make you want to read the whole series.
