forty-four years Emil Nikitin is the pakhan of the Nikitin Bratva. And when her four overprotective brother's saw the announcement that their sister was supposed marry to the dangerous Bratva pakhan they furious. Her stalker ex refuses to let her go and Emil refuses to let her go or let anyone near her. When someone takes a shot of her Emil went into protective mode. He moved her into his home and placed guards outside of her door shadowing her every step.
He looked at her like she was already wearing his ring. She should be terrified but instead she was falling for him for the dangerous man beneath the designer suits. For the lonely soul hidden beneath the scars. For tye pakhan who would destroy anyone who threatens what's his. As it turns out it was from her ex-boyfriend Arnie who had now turned into a killer. Emil must deal with the threat protecting his soon to wife and and brothers. It was there all the action begin. Will Emil be able to be successful in defeating the perpetrator? Will they eventually get married and get their HEA? Will her brother's finally come around once they're living under his roof and see a different side of the dangerous pakhan?

This was really very good. A lot of these mafia romances have a very rinse and repeat kind of vibe. This didn’t actually. The FMC and MMC were much more developed than your average mafia romance. The FMC had brothers that you meet, she had a backstory, she had friends, she had a history. She responded with resistance, but then given in when she should have. MMC was a bit more vulnerable and nuanced than your average mafia boss.

There was chemistry, there was plot. Overall, a surprisingly good book. A bit lighter than I usually like, but better. I think I need to step away from dark romance for a bit, because they lack depth of character. They require you to suspend belief on the behaviors of their main characters too much. In real life, a psychopath would actually treat you like crap. In real life, a woman would be terrified constantly and not have body betrayal syndrome. These light gray dark romances are just better storytelling overall. An example of the FMC being a normal human is in this internal dialogue when she's thinking of the forced marriage,

"No matter how good looking Emil is, and God, he is gorgeous. No matter how much money he has, and it's clearly a fortune. No matter how incredible he is in bed, and that's an understatement. I don't want this lifestyle." Because...OF COURSE YOU DON'T! Who would?? And, few dark romance authors acknowledge that this is a lifestyle with an enormous price and no amount of body betrayal syndrome can outweigh that.

Overall, a really good read and I definitely recommend it.

Keira Walker is trying to escape her abusive ex, she's done everything the law allows, she has an injunction which says he can't come near her, but he ignores it. One night, whilst she's trying to enjoy herself at a nightclub with friends, her ex turns up, and to get rid of him, she tells a lie: she says she's engaged and picks a handsome stranger, Emil Nikitinin. She grabs his arm and announces that he's her fiancé, not knowing that he's the Pakhan. He not only plays along but decides to take matters further.

He needs a wife; his council members have suggested a few prospects, but none appeal, so when he is drawn into Kira's lie, he decides to make it real. Later, he tells Kiera they're going to be married for real; she refuses. Then her brothers arrive, wanting answers, and insist she stay away from Emil because he's dangerous. Kiera thinks she can ignore Emil and his crazy expectation of marriage, until the night her ex shows up at her door and someone starts shooting at her.

Emil announces that she's now under his protection, ignoring all protests from her and her four overprotective brothers. I enjoyed this hilarious, action-packed roller coaster ride as two strong people discover they were made for each other; their interactions and chemistry kept me glued to my Kindle.

This is the 4th story in the Sins of the Bratva Series where we find Kiera trying to move on from her abusive ex, Arnie by going out with her girlfriends for a night of dancing and drinks. Kiera starts to enjoy her night only to see Arnie and she tries to find a place to hide and runs right into an older sexy man, Emil introducing him as her fiancé. Emil plays along as he realizes he can solve his issue of needing a bride. They share a dance and Kiera is shocked when the next day there’s an engagement announcement is in the paper. Emil being the Pakhan is one dangerous man who tells you what’s going to happen and doesn’t move from it. Kiera will not be easily manipulated into marriage puts Emil on edge as danger comes her way so he does what’s necessary to protect her and brings her into his dark world. Having 4 older brothers who support her at all cost disagree with the relationship. When Emil cannot figure out where the danger is coming from inside his world it forces him to look elsewhere for answers before they marry to ensure the safety of the one person he cares for giving them the opportunity for more. I was thoroughly surprised by this Bratva story. I was expecting one thing but was thrown a curve ball. Numerous times! The whole book was engaging and different from anything else I have read by this author. Pakhan , Emil spots Keira at a club and decides she's exactly what he wants. Especially when she grabs onto him and tells her ex the he's her fiance. She's surprised that he goes along with the ruse but is shocked when she reads the engagement announcement in the newspaper at work on Monday.

Someone takes a pot shot at her and he goes into protector mode confining her to his estate. He thinks it could be her ex but she's not convinced.

Keira gets a message from the shooter to meet them at a warehouse or her brothers will be killed. Emil brings the 4 brothers, Kevin, Devin, Kaleb and Jack, to his estate for their protection.

After weeks of searching, they figure out who it actually is and it's absolutely not who you expect.

Definitely a good read with a lot of twists and turns to keep it interesting.

FMC Kiera Walker is out for a girls night with her friends while trying to leave thoughts of her ex Arnie in the past, but unfortunately he won’t leave her alone.
Having a good time dancing she sees him in the club watching her, and fear takes her heart.
MMC Pakhan Emil ends up at the same club in need of a drink after avoiding his council’s plans to see him wed, immediately.
The choices they provided for wife were frightening!
Kiera sees Emil and desperate holds onto him while declaring to her ex he is her fiancé.
A little lie and the games begin and boy do they ever because Emil decides he has found the wife he WANTS to marry.
A nicely written steamy story filled with drama, emotion, family, passions, surprises, age-gap, Bratva dynamics, danger and a whole lot of good reading! HEA.

This one is a scorcher!

Emil Nikitin meets Keira Walker in a nightclub when she's attempting to get away from an ex-boyfriend. She grabs him arm and publicly declares him to be her fiancée. Little did she know that Emil is a feared Pakhan who just so happens to be in the need of a wife to satisfy his council members. When he shows up and tells Kiera that they're going to be married, she refuses. When her brothers show up, they want answers and caution her to stay away from him because he's dangerous. Kiera was perfectly fine ignoring Emil and his crazy talks of marriage until her ex showed up at her door and someone started shooting at her all in the same night. Emil officially takes her under his protection, against her and her brother's protests and eventually things begin to change between them.

Buckle your seatbelt because the ride will be tumultuous between Emil and Kiera, but worth every second!.

Kiera jumps out of the frying pan and into the fire. To escape her deranged stalker she states the alarmingly handsome man is her fiancé. Emil had already zoned in on the beautiful, full of life young woman so when she gives him an in he takes it and has absolutely no intention of letting her go.

The immediate threat to her life sees him moving her to his estate under his protection. Add her four insanely over protective brothers the pressure on Kiera increases.

A steamy, intense, action packed story that draws you in from the very start. Kiera is a straight talking young woman who doesn't back down from anyone. This only makes her more interesting to Emil. However, can she accept him for who he really is? A thoroughly enjoyable story that I read in one go!.

Part of the "Sins of the Bratva" series. Kiera Walker really didn't want to go out when her best friends dragged her there. She had been keeping a low profile since breaking up with her abusively obsessive ex and still, he seemed to show up anyway. Despite her reservations, she started relaxing and enjoying herself, until across the club she saw Arnie, her ex. In desperation, she grabbed hold of a tall, silver fox and asked him to play along. Emil Nikitin was used to being the most powerfully dangerous man in any room. As Pakhan, it was part of the job. When the lovely young woman grabbed his arm and asked him to play along, he was quite willing. She had just offered him the solution to a problem of his own - needing a wife. When Kiera told her ex that he was her fiancé, she sealed her fate.

This thrilling story kept me all caught up in Emil and Kiera. She is out with her friends finally having a good time when her abusive ex comes on the scene. To keep him at bay she grabs the first man and tells her ex he is her fiancé. What she didn't know was that Emil had been watching her for a while and he is inactual need of a fiancé. This statement starts their path, but the journey is not a smooth ride with all the secrets Emil is keeping and her abusive ex not taking no for an answer. Will Emil and Kiera actually get their chance to find their road to happiness.

Kira is a strong main character. She gets talked into going out with friends & thinks she can move on. Her ex shows up & she claims that Emil is her fiancé. Emil's council has decided he needs to be married. They have placed the Bratva daughters in front of him for a decision. He can't stand them. After Kira proclaims him her fiancé, he decides it's the perfect way to deal with the situation. He already had eyes on her. One, well five, problems. Four overprotective intrusive brothers and one very determined lady. Enjoy the hilarious, action-packed ride with two strong people. This is one story that just keeps on giving there's so much to keep your interest from the first page to the last.
Keira and Emile story starts off with an unexpected engagement that shocks them both for different reasons.
He's one dangerous, lethal Pakhan and she will soon to find out exactly how ruthless he is.
Its been written your interest in what happens in this story that you lose yourself in the telling it's that good.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this story but then Ariana Cooper wrote it.

Another wonderful addition to Cooper's Sins of the Bratva series that can be read as a standalone. This was a completely addictive read. Our main characters are Keira and Emile. The storyline grabs your attention from the very beginning and Cooper only adds layer upon layer of twists, turns, danger and of course the steamy chemistry. I think this has been my favorite from the Sins of Bratva thus far, but I can't wait to see what Cooper will write next!

I had a real problem with Kiera and Emil. Kiera is an airhead with big boobs and a big ass, blue eyes, and obviously likes sex. She’s twenty-five. Emil is forty-four and is so in lust he’s probably forgotten he has a bigger brain somewhere. Kiera is the kind of senseless person who can’t see or plan two steps ahead of her. If the door said no entry, she would walk right in.
So in reality, I would not like this childish woman in real life and I don’t like her in literature either. It’s a no from me.

Kiera pointed at Emil and said hes my fiance, and Emil didnt just run with it he took the ball put the park and the full 100 yards beyond! Hes obsession only grows, and as Kieras staller ex doesnt give up, her brothers are furious, and Emils hidding something that could tear them apart. Kiera and Emil’s chemistry is **so incredibly strong!** 🔥 Kiera is running from a horrible ex, and from the moment Emil sees her, he becomes fiercely protective of her.

I loved the way Emil was there for her and how their connection continued to grow. The chemistry, protective hero, and suspense kept me completely hooked.

I usually really love her books but this book had some many inconsistencies especially in the beginning part of the book which made it hard to follow along at times. It was a good storyline overall but the inconsistencies made it hard to enjoy the book at times.

Interesting plot

It felt as though it lacked some real emotional reactions. There was one piece that didn't work, when the brothers had to be placed in a safe place for protection the brother in law was left out. Leave the brother in law without protection? It's as if the gay married couple was thrown into the story as a filler.
