I honestly wasn’t sure at first how I was gonna feel about this one seeing as I’ve been in a slump. But I seriously loved the banter between these two. I loved the build up we got and how this one had more of a slow burn feel to it. Nico (27) just felt so much more complex than the previous mmcs and I couldn’t get enough of it! I loved seeing behind his cold mask and the infamous scar. Maltide (17/18), sis did not take any crap and I loved how she tested Nico🤣 The baby twins were so cute and I loved how they felt apart of the story.


I have a feeling Dante is to going to give all the previous mmcs a run for their money and I can’t wait!😛

The Capo’s Nymph is another strong addition to Eileen North’s Vows Sworn in Blood series. If you love emotional mafia romances with protective heroes, forced proximity, and plenty of family moments, this one is definitely worth picking up.

Nico is a recently widowed capo raising infant twins on his own, and seeing him step into the role of a single father added so much depth to his character. When Matilde arrives as his nanny, the attraction between them is immediate, but Nico fights it every step of the way. He believes love isn’t meant for him anymore, making the emotional tension between them even stronger.

Matilde was such an easy heroine to root for. After moving to a new country while searching for her long lost twin sister, she’s trying to build a new life for herself. Watching her bond with Nico’s children was one of my favorite parts of the story. Those quieter family moments balanced the darker mafia elements perfectly and made the romance feel even more meaningful.

The forced proximity and marriage of convenience tropes were executed really well. Nico’s possessive, morally grey personality creates plenty of tension, but beneath all of that is a man who will do absolutely anything to protect the people he loves. Watching his walls slowly come down as his feelings for Matilde grew made their relationship incredibly satisfying.

Overall, The Capo’s Nymph is an emotional mafia romance with a protective single dad, a sweet yet resilient heroine, and a romance that develops naturally despite the dangerous world surrounding them. Eileen North continues to build this series beautifully, and I can’t wait to read the final book to see how everything comes together.

I was so excited to read this story and I was not disappointed. After finding out Nico was left with 2 newborn twins and learning of Matilde in the first book I absolutely could not wait to see what would happen. The MMC is scarred both internally and externally and doesn’t think that anyone could actually see past his scars. The FMC has been dealt an equally bad hand and finds herself in a new country chasing ghosts. They enter each other’s worlds and the disdain is mutual. Somewhere along the way things change and a deep bond is formed. This series is truly the definition of interconnected standalone! While these books individually give enough context that you fully grasp what’s happening without reading the whole series, I definitely recommend reading them in order.

You really can’t go wrong with a good mafia story! This was my first time reading this author, and even though it’s part of an interconnected series, I was able to jump right in without feeling lost.

Nico and Matilde’s silent banter had me cracking up because sometimes they didn’t even have to say anything—you just KNEW. I loved their back-and-forth dynamic and watching that tension slowly build.

And Nico’s mama?! THE GOAT. She was easily one of my favorite parts of the book.

This one is definitely a slow burn, and babyyyy, you have to WAIT. But when I tell you the wait was worth it?!

Overall, this was an enjoyable introduction to a new-to-me author, and now I’m curious about the other books in this world.

After reading book two in this series I was hooked with this world and the writing, and I could not wait for Nico's book. Book one and three are on my TBR, but my word, this book here… so freaking good.

Matilda's backbone for me, was the highlight in this book. She may have been young, but she was definitely not meek, she stood her ground. Nico, he was definitely taken by surprise with Matilda and I loved it. He didn't want her but man he was possessive and jealous from the get go. And the way he gradually fell for her… perfect.

He had one vulnerability, and Matilda made sure he knew no matter what he was it for her… and that was amazing.

Those last few chapters! Gah, had me on edge.

Matilde & Nico’s chemistry is absolute fire’

If you love a slow-burn mafia romance with a fiercely stubborn heroine and an icy boss who finally meets his match, you need to read this. Their banter is top-tier and their connection feels so earned.

Nico is beautifully complex (watching his softer side emerge was everything ), and Matilde's growth into a total badass is incredible. Plus, Nico’s brother Dante completely steals the show—their dynamic brings the perfect mix of humor and heart.

Packed with action, suspense, and high emotional stakes, this one is going to live rent-free in my head for a long time.

Eileen North does it again. I absolutely love this series, and her writing style always hits the spot. It’s engaging, flows effortlessly, and keeps me invested from beginning to end.

Matilde and Nico were fantastic together. Their banter had me laughing throughout the book, and their chemistry felt natural. Matilde has such a kind and caring heart, especially when it comes to the children, but she’s also sassy, strong, and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself or the people she loves. I especially liked that she wasn’t afraid to tell Nico to “do better.”

Nico is the perfect Mafia Capo—stoic, protective, possessive, and always wanting to be in control. What made him stand out, though, was seeing the physical insecurities beneath that hard exterior and how they affected his ability to connect with Matilde emotionally.

One of my favourite things about this series is seeing familiar faces from previous books. It really makes the world feel connected and adds so much to the reading experience.

I’m already counting down to Dante and Sofia’s story. Bring it! 😛

Nico and Matilde... a heart of cold and a heart of gold both bearing traumas of the past.

The fourth book to this series continues and remains a absolutely remarkable mafia romance. While you can read it as a standalone I wouldnt suggest it because 1. There are parts in this story that are explained in deeper details in the other books and 2. Why would you wanna miss out on all the other fantastic characters in the series.

I highly suggest digging into this series because its only going to continue to grow and get better as the author keeps going.

I had such a hard time putting this one down. The chemistry between the main characters was intense from the start, and the tension just kept building with every chapter. I loved that the story balanced action, danger, and romance without one taking away from the other.
The mafia world felt gritty, the banter kept me entertained, and there were a few twists I honestly didn’t see coming. Lachlan completely stole the show for me he’s ruthless when he needs to be but has those moments that make you understand why he’s impossible not to love.

The Capo's Nymph delivered one of my favorite stories in the series so far, thanks largely to Nico, who is easily one of the most complex and captivating heroes. Beneath his ruthless exterior lies a fiercely protective man whose vulnerability slowly emerges throughout the story, making his journey incredibly rewarding. This book leans more into a slow-burn romance than the previous installments, but the anticipation only makes the chemistry between Nico and Mathilde even more intense. When the passion finally ignites, the spicy scenes are absolutely worth the wait.
The story is driven by a strong, engaging plot that gives both main characters room to grow. Mathilde is a fiery, volatile heroine who isn't immediately as easy to love as some of the previous female leads, but that's exactly what makes her memorable. She is stubborn, passionate, and wonderfully imperfect. Although I couldn't completely overlook that she begins the story at just seventeen—even though nothing romantic happens until she turns eighteen and Nico himself is firmly against younger women—it did make it difficult at times to forget how young and innocent she was. I do think making her slightly older would have strengthened the romance. That said, as the story progressed, she matured beautifully, and her fierce love for her family and unwavering devotion to the children added so much warmth and heart to an otherwise dark mafia world.
One of my favorite aspects of the book was Nico's softer side, especially whenever he was with the babies. Watching such a dangerous man become completely devoted and protective was incredibly heartwarming. As a mother myself, I especially appreciated how fiercely everyone rallied around the children. The babies may not have spoken a word, but they somehow stole every scene they appeared in, and the ongoing comments about Amadeo's hilarious facial expressions had me laughing out loud.
Another standout was the relationship between Nico and his brother Dante. Their brotherly bond added both emotional depth and perfectly timed humor, balancing the darker moments of the story. Dante completely stole every scene he was in with his quick wit, sarcasm, and effortless charm. He may have become my favorite character in the entire series, and after everything teased here, I absolutely cannot wait for his book. It promises to be explosive.
The banter throughout the novel was fantastic, often leaving me smiling, giggling, and eagerly flipping the pages to see what would happen next. The tension was perfectly paced, the emotional moments landed beautifully, and I found the book incredibly difficult to put down, finishing it in just two nights.
Despite my reservations about the heroine's age at the beginning of the story, this was still a thoroughly enjoyable read. Between the compelling characters, emotional family moments, sizzling chemistry, sharp humor, and gripping plot, The Capo's Nymph kept me completely invested from beginning to end. It's another fantastic addition to the series and has me counting down the days until Dante finally gets his story.

Eileen North has officially done it again because The Capo's Nymph completely consumed me❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥. I couldn't put it down and ended up devouring it in one sitting. This is hands down my top 2 favorites in the Vows Sworn in Blood series so far (along with the Don's Siren)
Nico and Matilde had me hooked from their very first interaction. Their chemistry was everything, the tension, the banter, the constant push and pull. It was the kind of slow burn that has you kicking your feet one minute and screaming the next. Every moment between them felt earned, making the payoff so much sweeter.

I absolutely adored Matilde💖 She's fierce, stubborn, fiery, and refuses to let anyone walk all over her, even a powerful mafia capo. Beneath all that fire is someone carrying so much pain, and watching her slowly open herself up was such an emotional journey. Nico completely stole my heart. Getting to see the layers behind the intimidating capo, his grief, loyalty, and vulnerability made him one of the most compelling heroes in the series.
The emotional depth in this book was incredible. Eileen balanced the action, suspense, romance, and family moments so beautifully that I was fully invested from beginning to end. I especially loved the glimpses of Nico's relationship with Dante, and the little moments with the babies brought such unexpected warmth and humor to an otherwise dark world.
And let's talk about the spice🔥🌶️ 🥵The slow burn made every intimate moment hit so much harder. The chemistry was absolutely electric, and every scene had me completely obsessed.
Eileen North's writing continues to pull me into this mafia world with ease. Every book somehow raises the stakes, deepens the emotions, and leaves me desperate for the next one.

Matilde grew up in Sicily, living on her family farm. Then on her fathers death bed he tells her about her twin sister and her real mother, who he left in America. Growing up she knew her mom didn't love her. Now she knows why. She wasn't her real mother, just his mistresses daughter. Now she'll do whatever it takes to find them. Except nothing goes how she plans. Until she's rescued from traffickers. Now she's working as a nanny for the Capo of New York after his wife was shot at a wedding. Can she do both, find her family and care for the babies. Nico doesn't really want another child to look after. But he needs a nanny for the twins, and his mother has enough to do with his father's failing health issues. When he sees Matilde he knows he has to keep her at a distance. Telling her she needs to complete her education and that she'll care for his babies but sleep at his mother's home. This is another superbly written story. Nico comes across as the typical stern, untouchable and immovable Capo. But Matilde sees another side of him that's hidden deep. Can she actually slip through his well built walls. Or will finding out the truth about her mother and sister change everything. Is Nico able to trust the young woman to really care for his babies. What will happen when she disobey's his rules. Just who is the enemy and what lengths will they go to. Will Nico ever be able to open up and show his vulnerable side to Matilde. This is not only a spicy love story but also thrilling and addictive reading. I can't wait to read for Dante's story, it's carried through each of the story as little bits. I'm really looking forward to seeing if Sofia will finally get a hea or will it all end in War

If you love possessive mafia bosses, marriage of convenience, age gaps, forced proximity, and a heroine who refuses to be intimidated, The Capo’s Nymph delivers all of it with a perfect blend of danger, romance, and heart.

Mathilde instantly won me over. She’s brave, compassionate, and determined to carve out a safe future despite carrying the weight of her own painful past. Watching her become fiercely devoted to Nico’s twins while refusing to let the intimidating Capo steamroll her made her impossible not to root for.

And Nico… this scarred, knife-wielding Capo is equal parts terrifying and irresistible. Beneath his controlling nature and relentless need to protect his family is a man carrying unimaginable responsibility. His gruff exterior slowly cracks as his feelings for Mathilde grow, and every possessive moment had me grinning.

The chemistry between these two is electric. Their banter is sharp, the slow-building trust feels earned, and the tension explodes into some seriously spicy moments. But what surprised me most was how much heart this story has. The twins add warmth to the darker mafia backdrop, making every protective gesture and emotional breakthrough hit even harder.

With danger lurking around every corner, family secrets, emotional depth, and a romance that blossoms through trust instead of instant perfection, this was impossible to put down.

The Capo’s Nymph was one of my favorites in the series, largely thanks to Nico, who stands out as one of the most complex and compelling heroes. Beneath his ruthless exterior is a deeply protective man, and watching his softer side slowly emerge made his arc incredibly satisfying.

Nico and Matilde have strong, addictive chemistry. Matilde is a fiery, stubborn FMC trying to build a new life for herself and her sister, while Nico is a widowed capo raising twins in a dangerous underground world. Their slow-burn romance builds tension beautifully, and when it finally ignites, it delivers.

One of the highlights for me was Nico with the babies. Seeing such a dangerous man completely devoted to his children added a lot of warmth, and those family moments brought real heart to the darker mafia setting. The brotherly bond between Nico and Dante also stood out, adding humor, depth, and emotional balance—Dante especially steals every scene.

The banter throughout the book is sharp and engaging, and the pacing of the emotional and romantic buildup kept me hooked. I finished it quickly because I didn’t want to put it down.

That said, I did struggle a bit with Matilde being seventeen at the start of the story, even though the romance doesn’t begin until she’s eighteen. While she matures well as the story progresses, I think making her slightly older would have strengthened the romance from the start.

Overall, this was a gripping, emotional, and entertaining read with strong characters, great chemistry, found-family energy, and a plot that kept me fully invested from beginning to end.

I absolutely loved and devoured this read. Read in one sitting. It definitely would be my favorite so far in this series. I could not put it down!!!
Totally loved the banter and connection between these two from the start. Our fierce, stubborn FMC Matilde who wouldn't back down from our ruthless MMC Nico of the underworld.
The slow burn tension building between these characters through trust and understanding.
Loved seeing more of the backstory in Nico being a widow after seeing snippets in the prior books. Put things into a clearer perspective in how he felt. Matilde's fiery nature and her determination and love for her sister, of her past trauma and upbringing.
Thoroughly enjoy Eileen's writing, always captivating, full of action and suspense, with very raw emotional depth.
Love to see more in this world and can't wait to see what comes next.

I really love the Vows Sworn In Blood series, it has everything you want in a mafia romance; intensity, passion, action bit with great characters and dashes of humour. The Capo's Nymph has prolly one of my favourite, complex heros in the series so far in Nico, along with being more daring in the spice levels. While it is more of a slow burn than the others, it definitely makes up for it with some meltingly hot scenes.

A strong plot drives the narrative as well as providing greater insight into our main characters and allowing them to grow. Mathilde is quite a strong volatile character, who is perhaps not as endearing as previous heroines. However a part of that is her fiery personality and maturity. I wished she d been older in the book, but she definitely grew on me. Her love of family and the children was really sweet and balanced out the darker elements of the plot. The babies were a great addition, not saying anything but adding a lot to the book, the comments about Amadeo's expressions had me chuckling.

Nico's relationship with his brother Dante was also a highlight of the text. Dante provided humour with lighter moments, as well strong drama. I cannot wait for his book next, it is definitely is going to be explosive.

I found it hard to put down. I'd give it a 4.5 but rounded it to 5 as the plot was so strong. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

As expected, this story did not disappoint. On the contrary, it showed one of the toughest and most ruthless protagonists in the series melting with tenderness toward his children and slowly falling in love with a fiery Matilde. Despite the obstacles and traumas that keep cropping up along the way, Matilde is determined to make it in life and discover her origins. They have incredible chemistry. She’s young, cheeky, and daring. He’s an older man who could have married someone more prominent and glamorous, yet he finds himself captivated by his young, inexperienced nanny. She compares caring for the babies to tending to her little lambs on the farm in Sicily.

They have a common bond: Nico’s twins from his previous marriage. His wife died in an attack at his brother-in-law’s wedding in the previous book. Nico must solidify his status as the future capo and confront the betrayals of certain factions within his organization who threaten the lives of Matilde and her children. This turns him into a staunch protector of his family. Overall, it was an entertaining and enjoyable read. It was funny with its jokes and language mix-ups and exciting and tender when he recounts the kisses they share. Now, I’m looking forward to Dante’s story. Thank you, Sonja, for the wonderful moments you give us.

Eilleen is becoming a serious problem because every time I crown a new favorite couple, she drops another book and proves me wrong. Enter Nico and Matilde—the latest occupants of my "favorite couple" throne.

These two were everything. Matilde is fierce, loyal, and absolutely top-tier when it comes to protecting the people she loves. The way she stands up for her sister and guards Nico's heart after everything she's endured? Perfection. She sees the monster everyone else fears and isn't intimidated for a second.

And Nico? Whew. That man is dangerous enough to make grown adults run the other way, yet with Matilde he's all possessive devotion and quiet tenderness. The contrast between terrifying mafia king and gentle caretaker had me melting. He makes sure she's cherished, protected, and very well taken care of.

The chemistry between them is electric, the tension is delicious, and the spice delivers exactly what it promises. Every scene between them felt charged with emotion, loyalty, and obsession in the best possible way.

At this point, I need a second-generation series immediately because I am not ready to leave this world—or this couple—behind.

This is my honest review after receiving this ARC.

I did enjoy this book, it only took me two nights to read and it was a fun read. The tension was well placed, the banter between characters was enjoyable and left me giggling and kicking my feet. As a mother I appreciated how protective the characters were over the babies, and I loved seeing Nico's soft side with his babies, very heartwarming.

Dante might be my favorite character with his quick wit and sarcasm.

This could easily have been a 4.5 star read, but I couldn't get it out of my head that the FMC was 17 at the start of the book. Not that anything occurs until after she turns 18, but she has a childlike innocence that goes back to her age frequently, making it hard to see past the freshly 18 aspect, especially with how against that Nico is in every other case.

Overall the story was great, the banter was fun, tension left me turning the page and waiting to see what would happen next.

This interconnected mafia series has to be one of my favorites. Just when I think I have a favorite a new one comes in and takes its place. We had seen the closed off and scary Nico with the first 3 books. What we did NOT see is single daddy Nico. Prepare your ovaries ladies!!
Single Dad has to be one of my top tropes, this one did not disappoint. We got some glimpses of Matilde in the prior books, but nothing to really grasp on to.
The sparks that fly with these two are instant. The chemistry and angst drips through the pages. This is a high energy age gap Mafia romance with an arranged marriage. I absolutely loved it! The kiss counting, be still my heart!
As I said in the beginning, this is part of an interconnected standalone series. Series I highly suggest reading the first three because they are just as good. You will not be lost at all. However, grab them. You will not be sorry.

If you love mafia romances this one is for you

Nico was definitely the highlight. He had that protective alpha energy without feeling completely one-dimensional. I also liked seeing his softer side, especially with the twins. Those little babies honestly stole every scene they were in. 🥹

The romance takes more of a slow-burn approach, so if you like the anticipation before everything finally pops off, you’ll probably appreciate that. Once the chemistry kicked in, the spice was worth the wait.

Matilde wasn’t my favorite FMC at first. She definitely had a fiery personality and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, but I personally would’ve enjoyed the romance more if she had been a little older. That’s just my preference.

One thing I did enjoy was the family dynamic. It wasn’t just romance and mafia drama. The relationships between the siblings added a lot of heart, and Dante… yeah, I already know I’m probably going to read his book. 😂

Eileen North delivers another darkly seductive and emotionally charged addition to her Vows Sworn in Blood series with THE CAPO’S NYMPH.

This story follows Nico Morelli, the scarred and formidable Capo of Chicago and the woman who becomes both his children's nanny and his unexpected salvation. The age gap and single dad elements just do it for me and add depth and tenderness to the otherwise ruthless Mafia world. Nico's fierce protectiveness and the heroine's sassiness create a compelling push and pull that makes their chemistry thoroughly enjoyable.

What really made this a keeper for me was the single dad aspect. Nico with his infant twins added heart to his dangerous Capo persona. Watching him navigate fatherhood while dealing with his attraction to the nanny brought on all the emotional tension I love.

Looking forward to more from this series. I’m giving THE CAPO’S NYMPH the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

Eileen North is a new to me author, and since I’ve had no luck in liking/finishing books from new to me authors, I went into this read with pretty low expectations.

I WAS PROVEN WRONG!! This book exceeded my expectations and kept my attention throughout the entirety of the book. I seriously couldn’t put it down!!

This book is a Mafia romance set in Chicago. There is a 9 year age gap between the grumpy MMC and the spirited FMC. Also, this talks about human trafficking and cheating. DON’T WORRY, THERE IS NO CHEATING IN THE BOOK!!!

This is book 4 in the series and can be read without reading the other books in the series, I promise it will still make perfect sense. I now plan to go back and read the others!!! I’m planning on adding this to my physical bookshelves as soon as I can!! It releases on July 8th on KU!!

Chapter 1 throws you straight into the action. Blood, bullets, death, and of course romance in this mafia read. While this was the first book I've read, this book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Eileen did a wonderful job providing enough details so I didn't feel like I was out of the loop with this book being the fourth in the Vows Sworn in Blood series, but I'm definitely invested in all the characters stories so I will be running to read book 1! Single dad of twins in the Mafia world was a trope that I had yet to explored and I loved every minute of it! I absolutely adored Nico and Matilda, and while their relationship may have started off as an arrangement, I loved seeing how their relationship developed as the story progressed! Loved it! I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to read this book before it was released! ❤️

Book 4 of Vows Sworn in Blood. Can be read as a standalone.

'But when Nico determines we’ll marry, things get more complicated… and far more dangerous. Am I just a convenient bedwarmer and a nanny who’ll never leave his children? Will I live long enough to discover if we could be more?'

The characters were very complex and compelling and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. All in all a great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!
