Example of a good plan: sleep, maybe don’t get murdered. Simple yet excellent. Example of a bad plan: using yourself as bait for someone whose elevator doesn’t reach the top floor. Bad plan very, very bad plan. If your plan is the thing that would get you knocked off in a horror flick a good rule of thumb would be don’t do that. Sigh you yell and warn and they never listen, smh. I enjoyed learning more about the past that makes Ashford so broody and antisocial. Tragic hero backstory. It was a bit odd having him off on a mission for much of the book. Kinda cool though that we got to peek behind the curtains of the man the myth the legend that is Cass Valor lol. Big relationship test for Paige and Ashford, two more stubborn people you could not imagine. Very intense edge of your seat kinda read. I enjoyed it very much.

Paige's Life Test . . .

With her provisional licensing exam at Dominion Point Academy finally here, Paige sits cross-legged on the floor, surrounded by the chaos of flashcards, highlighters, and a chewed-up pen as she studies for what is coming. Professor Rhys Ashford ("Ash") is relaxed in his expensive chair until he decides to "incentivize her academic success" by reviewing mock questions to evaluate her preparation for this. When she answered the first question correctly, he removed a cufflink. Another question correctly answered had him tossing the other cufflink, followed by his jacket, watch, etc. (It was surprising to see how motivated Paige became to answer correctly as she started to enjoy the challenge, at least until he removed his shirt and her focus unraveled.) He reminded her he won't always be around to protect her, she needed to know this information, because he believed loving someone meant keeping them at arm’s length so they couldn’t be taken from you. As if to prove his words, he is sent away on a classified mission. And a killer from Dominion’s darkest times has returned to take vengeance on what he thought Ash took from him. Marrowmark has chosen to kidnap Paige as a motivating lure to bring Ash into his trap. She finds the body of a student, Jalen Rivas, in the Archives. This wasn’t a simulation. This wasn’t part of the exam. This was real... and the monster's vengeful plan begins ...

In this instalment we see the return of Marrowmark, and he's after one thing - to make Rhys suffer again; because the death of Adrienne, Rhys' sister, wasn't enough for Marrowmark in his quest to break Rhys down.

This book brought out a whole other level of obsessiveness, which was highlighted by Marrowmark's clear obsession with Rhys. All because of a wrong that Marrowmark believes Rhys did to him.

From the moment Paige is lured to find Jalen's body, the action does not slow down, which made it all the more exciting. There were moments of levity, which gave a slight breather from the high stakes action, before we are thrown back into the action.

For me, this was an immensely engaging read, and I feel marks a turning point in the series, for which I'm excited to see what lies in store for Paige, Rhys, Celeste, Cass, Serra, Logan, and everyone else at Dominion Point.

Traitors And Tombstones - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

This supernatural thriller sees Paige lured to the Archives, where she discovers another student's body and receives a chilling message. She tries to carry on with her exams, without distracting Rhys, (who's away on a mission) with the continued threats. Friends Senna and Celeste's attempts to cheer her up and Cass Valor's attentive protection help a little but then Marrowmark, a Voldemort-like villain kidnaps Paige from under her friends' watchful eyes, to use her as bait.

Traitors And Tombstones is suspenseful and keenly nuanced, as friend and foe clash together in a last fight to the death.
Great characters, an all-action storyline and a thrilling end  will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. Get Traitors And Tombstones today, to see what's next...just keep your wands and Dominions handy!

Book 16 of The Dominion Point Mystery Series. What a ride, very intriguing with lots of hard choices made to protect the ones they love. I like Paige’s determination, that Ashford proves that Paige is his main priority, and through every challenge they grow stronger together. I can’t wait to see more from this series!

It's exam time at the academy, and Paige gets caught up in another murder mystery too. This is a well written, page turning, murder mystery with well developed characters and a storyline packed with danger, action, drama, suspense, and so much more. Traitors and Tombstones is book sixteen and a wonderful addition to The Dominion Point Mystery series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Paige is dealing with exams so of course murder pops up to cause trouble and chaos for all. Lots of drama, intrigue and suspense as watch Paige figure it out and survive it all. Made me laugh and groan but enjoyed it as always.
