Another example of the cover having nothing to do with the book itself. Just thought I'd mention that.

Talley has returned to the town she was raised in to resurrect an old love. What she doesn't expect is to find a new love with Mitch's father. They hide it as long as they can but eventually they are found out. Talley now has to choose and try not to drive the father and son apart.

While I didn't care for the two-timing, I loved her scenes with Mace. I loved how realistic they were too. He didn't have this huge penis that could go on and on for days. He was glad he could do it twice in one night. He snored a little and belched loudly. He drank too much sometimes. And although his body was great, it wasn't described as the body of a 20 year old. I ended up really enjoying this book.

One of the worst books I've read in my life. With a plot like this is difficult to make all the characters likable, but this author did the impossible...I hate all 3 of them!!!

- Talley is a 23 year old girl who doesn't sleep with her boyfriend of 6 months, but jumps his fathers bones every saturday. There is no reason for it, the first time he was drank and they did it. And since then every saturday they have an appointment. She is shallow, selfish... When got caught but his boyfriend the only thing she keeps on saying is sorry, I don't know how it happen but I love you. And then we have to believe that she is in love with the father as well...kind of difficult when the only thing they do is have sex and talk about his son.
- Mitch (the son): finds his girlfriend and dad together and doesn't even get angry. That night he drives her to her home and he forgives everyone like nothing happened. Real life, eh??
- Mace (the father): Nice morals....every saturday having a booty call with your son's 23 year old girlfriend.

The plot was awful and awfully written. Don't waste your time and your money....

This was one of the first "forbidden romances" I read years ago and since I haven't really been wowed by any new releases I have been going back and re-reading my vault of older romances to see if they live up to my memory. And well....this one is just not good.

Let's start with the atrocious cover. Yes it has been re-released with an updated cover but this thing is just bad. The young Alec Baldwin-like model when the main character Mace is supposed to be this tall, lanky, weathered farmer.

Next we have the characters. Talley who is 23 years old and 6 months ago got back together with her first love Mitch. Though she won't sleep with him. But she is sleeping with his father Mace.

And the plot, what there is of it is just bad. Even when Mitch finds Talley and his father in bed together he gets mad for a hot minute then actually DRIVES HER HOME. They actually continue to date. But Talley just can't help being drawn to Mitch and in the end the Jerry Springer episode comes to a happy ending.

I just don't know what I was thinking when I read this the first time.

Talley Robinson has returned to her hometown and the childhood sweetheart she left behind, Mitch Holloway. They renew their relationship, but Talley insists they take it more slowly this time. Unexpectedly, another man enters Talley’s life and heart—tall and rugged Mace. Talley must choose between the sweet and familiar love she has for Mitch and the wickedly playful and passionate love she develops for Mace.

Enjoyed it! A haunting tale of love, betrayal and forgiveness with very powerful characters..
