I'm here to share adventure, edge of your seat moments, maybe some laughs, tears, and heart-pounding thrills.
Finding fantasy with enough action and plot dipped in no spice romance has never been easier, now that I write it. I've been writing my stories for over 15 years, constantly working on them to make them better and better. In the year 2021, I published my first book. Between then and 2024 I published the full trilogy.
As I grew and became better at my craft, with the release of book 1 to a new series within the same world - The Lone Prince: Beyond the Broken Throne in June 2025, I made the hard choice to pull down my first trilogy to elevate the story and re-release them in tandem with The Lone Prince series.
The old trilogy, known as Aodh Generations series, has been revamped as Heart of Fire series. Aodh Generations is now how I refer to any books written within this fantasy world: Marmidon.
This has been an incredible journey and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

There will be spoilers for book one if you read through my thoughts so just be forewarned before reading this review!

Romance ❤️🔥: LV 1 Kisses only (non descriptive)
Violence ⚔️: PG-13 there’s war, there’s lots of death, gore depicted, animal death, abuse, I’d say if you can handle the level of book one it’s not any more than that.
⚠️Kidnapping, death, abuse, torture (I didn’t find it to be descriptive), mental illness, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, estrangement to family, loss of hope, good va really evil stuff⚠️

My Thoughts:
GOODNESS does this book put our characters through it! There was so much that goes on in this story! I am left at that ending in anticipation of what will be coming in the next!! I am left with hope and also dread for what comes next for so many different reasons! Also I’ve fallen in love with each of these characters even now then in the first book!
Poor Curtis 😭 ugh this whole book he just needs a hug! (Well more than that but you’ll get it) his grit and determination throughout hardship had me absolutely cheering him on. I felt the ups and downs as he struggled and was left to his struggles. The respect that I have for him is immense! I feel like there’s still so much to learn about him and am intrigued. I really felt like he held his own in many different ways and hope to see him grow in confidence in the coming books!
Clarice goodness what growth she had in this story. Her love for her country and her friends is admirable. I loved as she grew and came to realize what these visions and such are. Where we are left with her has me anticipating great growth and excited to see where this story leads her and what the battle ahead will bring. She is a light in all the darkness of this story. I’m so glad she was there for Curtis and just can’t wait to see more of their relationship along with her own strength develop!
Maxem wow did he grow on me this book! I cannot imagine the situation he faced! To be unable to be in control and having to watch your family go through so much and realizing that you made choices that lead to these situations. 💔 I felt his strength as a father and a ruler as he is doing what he can. I cannot imagine the frustration and how trapped of a feeling that would be. Again he really grew on me this book but I feel like he really came to himself and we get to see the strength of character and what his sons and people saw in him before he was driven to desperate choices.
Dominic man oh man am I worried in this ending as to what is coming. It was so great to see him fight for his brother, his country and his men. He is truly honorable and a great example of what a prince should be. His struggles were different than everyone else and he was stopped from truly doing anything to help. I felt his pain and frustration and also understood the choice he made even though I was basically screaming NOOOO at the end there 😅 I’m worried about what’s coming next but we shall see.
A few mentions Darmeon is the absolute worst and I want him to get everything he absolutely deserves and I hope he does..
Calvin is the best brother and I hope we will see more of him in the coming books.
Dominic’s crew from the first book are still some of my favorites and I want more of their brother hood.
Clarice’s friends are the absolute best!
So many other side characters and things I could mention! This book has great depth when it comes to the wonderful characters!

This book is an absolute 10/10. It's so jam-packed right from the start and it just carries you through the story! Each character was so perfectly unique and full of history. The storyline was soooo good! If you love fantasy, and characters who manipulate/control, dread and redemption... this book is for you! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Now, my mind is drawing some blanks. 🙈 and I plan to reread my physical copy that's coming👀 and as I read, I will deffffinitely plan to update my thoughts on here to flush out my review!

A really good book. This is book 2 and there lots that happens. So many emotions, twists, and betrayals. Once I started I could not stop. And the cliffhanger ending felt so hopeful and nostalgic. It reminded me of when Peter in chronicles of Narnia is learning to sword fight and finding his strength and confidence and is preparing to meet Aslan. This was the nostalgia for me. And I loved it! I’m dying to see the character growth and for the bad guy to get what’s coming to him!!!

I received an ARC for an honest, voluntary review.
I loved Tiffany’s first book in this series, The Lone Prince, so much - and this new one more than lived up to my hopes for it.
The character development is great and detailed. Seeing these people learn, grow, rely on themselves and on others is just so heartwarming and also realistic in that it takes them time and there are times they fail as well.
If you like lots of action and world building, fantasy and magic you will love this book. Much violence/fighting/death/war is portrayed but the language is clean and appropriate for middle school or older ages.

This book is a strong second installment of the Lone Prince series. I liked it equally if not more than the first book. The pacing is excellent and the world-building is immersive. Danger is everywhere and the stakes are even higher than the first book. Themes of strength, hope, courage, and redemption are also woven beautifully throughout the story.
I think this book has also cemented Curtis as my favorite character in the series. Curtis goes through so much—defeat, loss, mental and physical torture—but he finds the strength to continue. Curtis is no weakling at all. His love for his family and friends pushes him to find courage in crucial moments. I loved the moments when other characters pointed out how brave he is, even when he doesn’t fully believe it himself. By the end of the book, I was so happy that Curtis encountered soldiers who were willing to help him after months of loneliness and torture. After what he experienced, it was so nice and uplifting to see him again with people who sincerely cared about him.
Clarice really grew on me. In the first book, I didn’t find her as interesting until the later part, but in this book, I was invested in her from the start. She is willing to brave danger and risk it all for the people she cares about. I am curious to see how her new abilities will shape her future and the role she will have in saving Marmidon.
Dominic’s situation has become increasingly complicated and dangerous. His choice at the end of the book left me feeling relieved for his honor guard but dreading what the consequences will be for him and those around him. I am truly concerned for what will happen to Dominic in the next book.
I liked seeing Maxem actively work against Zoran when he could, especially the times when he successfully thwarted Zoran’s control. One thing I am curious to know is why Maxem’s family has been targeted so much; I hope we get to find out in the future books.
The villains continue to carry out their nefarious plans for Marmidon. Zoran has a long history that is still being uncovered. I have many questions about Darmeon and his background, but one thing I am almost certain of is that if it comes down to it, I wouldn’t put it past the Shade to double cross everyone he’s working with for his own gain.
My favorite part of the book was Curtis and Clarice’s reunion. I was looking forward to this moment since book one and it did not disappoint. Their love is so sweet and tender, and it brings so much strength and hope to both of them. Curtis remembering that Clarice loves him to get him through his dark moments made me smile. And seeing Clarice’s determination to rescue Curtis despite all the danger and to make sure he knows that she loves him was just perfect. They are each other’s north star. I love it and can’t wait to see how their relationship develops in the next few books.
If you love epic fantasy, no-spice slow burn romance, and high stakes, then this book is for you! I am eagerly looking forward to book three!

It was even better than the last one! Packed up with action, high stakes, an intrisicate politcal system, a romance full of yearning and a despicable villain fom the start to the end.
My heart was with Curtis, Clarice, and Dominic all the time. The trials each had to endure showed the strenght of resiliance, honor, and kindness through faith. They had their individual battles (my poor Curtis more than anyone), but they managed to find their way back to each other. The fast pace in this second book really delivered more while exchanging povs between chapters. It helps explore the role dynamics kind of the Soldier, Poet, King. Also, I enjoyed seeing more of nurses in a fantasy war.
The only thing I disliked was Maxem. I could rant about him forever, but I am not here to remember my least favorite character. Anyways, I will mention some warning triggers : kidnapping, mild violence, deaths, heavy torture, physicological abuse, war.
Now, if you let me, I will be waiting for the 3rd book.

This was an amazing installment to this epic fantasy series! I was pulled into the story right away since it picked up where the first book left off. The world-building was exceptional and helped me feel like I was in every scene and experiencing every emotion right with the characters. The story was well-paced, and each chapter had me anxious to see what would happen next. I loved Curtis's, Clarice's, Maxem's, and Dominic's resilience and how they persevered with each new challenge that was put in front of them. I adored Clarice's brother, Calvin, because he was so cheery and always had something funny to say. The villains were so fierce and terrifying, really bringing depth to the tortures that the main characters had to go through. Clarice and Curtis being reunited in a slow-burn no-spice romance was a wonderful added bonus that I was so happy to see. The battles, both on and off the fields, were heart-wrenching and had me on the edge of my seat. If you love fantasies with epic battles then this is for you!

Do I need to explain myself? The battle scenes, the betrayal, the evil forces, the loyalty, the hurt/comfort, the team, the characters, etc. This book brought even more action than the first book and I was just as hooked. You’ll want to read this epic fantasy for yourself. And there are more books coming!

Excellent continuation of book 1! The multiple POVs are great. I love the development of the characters. The book is fast paced and never leaves you in a lull. The found family is incredible and fun. There is heartbreak and hope, pain and healing, strength from hurt. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book!
