*flails arms* I’m completely struck with how much I love this book! #seewhatididthere?! Fresh, fun, witty and angsty, Love Struck will pluck at the chords of your heart.

As an up-and-coming folk music singer, Lucy is desperately trying to get her feet back on the ground and the words back on the page after a terrible tragedy took away the man she was going to marry. She’s struggling for words – literally – which is a problem since she needs to write new songs for her next album. The only place she can find solace is in her online (and anonymous) best friend. Of course, when Lucy goes on tour with Eli’s band she realizes that one of them is her online paramour, misunderstandings are had and love sparks.

Eli and Lucy have this magnetism towards each other that made me love them each immediately. Coming from someone who has more online friends than real-life friends, I was instantly drawn to the story and I quickly fell in love. I turned these pages reading through my fingers for a bit – because GOD, the story had me right on the edge. It’s the kind of story that has you screaming at the characters because YOU KNOW the deal, but they don’t. It may make you want to throw the book across the room at times, but at others you’ll want to snuggle it close.

It’s also pretty funny. There are laugh-out-loud moments that had me snorting and shaking my head. I love Laurelin & Kayti’s writing. They know how to get me hot and bothered and how to put a smile on my face.

It’s genuine, real and emotionally charged; seamlessly written and hopelessly romantic. I don’t have to fake it – I absolutely loved it and want to scream it at the top of my lungs.

Lacy suffers from writers block. Songwriters block.
Ever since her fiancé died she hasn't been able to put all her grief and all her feelings into songs.
That's why she joined an online songwriters anonymous group.

And there she met Folx - she doesn't know who he is in real life, she only knows that he's her best friend. The only one she's been able to talk to about things. The only one who can help her with her writing. Because she needs to come up with songs - she has 10 weeks until she's booked into the recording studio.

Then suddenly there's an empty spot as an opening act for The Blue Hills - a band she recently saw live and loved - and also a few of the guys were pretty cute. ☺

Now she's on tour, while still chatting to Folx at night, both without knowing or guessing that they're on tour together in real life!
She can't wait until her sister's wedding (Andy & Blake from book 1) because Folx will be her date. Blind-date.

WHAT WiLL HAPPEN TO LACY & ELi???
WiLL ONE OR BOTH OF THEM GUESS WHO THE OTHER iS???
WiLL THE TWO OF THEM GET THEiR HEA?
WiLL THERE BE A HORRiBLE CLiFFHANGER???

I'm the biggest RockStarRomanceFanGirl EVER!

So this was just my kind of story.
It's not all that rockish and wild, but it was adorable and sweet and moving and sexy and funny and frustrating and I just wanted to get in there and hug them all.

Eli was so adorable and talented and Lacy too.
Eli was sometimes maybe a tiny bit too soft for my tastes, but he's an artist, he's allowed.
I was a tiny bit frustrated with Lacy here and there, but I really enjoyed reading it!

LOVE STRUCK was an amazingly adorable and funny and sexy and moving romance about two sad & lonely songwriters who finally find their words again - and their Happy Ever After!

This is my first read by these authors. Laurelin McGee stands for Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee. I haven’t read any books by KM yet but I loved LP’s Fixed on You and especially her First Touch.

This is the second book in their “Miss Match” series.

After her fiancé’s suicide, singer-songwriter Lacy is struggling with his death and doesn’t find inspiration for a new album. For the past 7 months she has been chatting as LoveCoda with Folx on an anonymous support group for song writers. In this time they have grown close without knowing who the other is. A chance to go on tour with an amazing band gives Lacy more time to work on her new album. Besides finally finding some inspiration she also grows closer to Eli. Until she figures out that the lead singer Jax must be Folx… This is where I’ll stop telling the story because I don’t want to spoil too much.

I liked Lacy and loved Eli but for me personally the story dragged. It took them both too long to figure out who they really wanted. I loved the double POV which made me admire Eli more and more. Overall I liked this story but it didn’t wow me. I give this one 3.5 stars.

Love Struck by Laurelin McGee is one of those light-hearted, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME kind of romances that will leave you saying, you know, that was good! Be advised, it is going to run you through a gamut of emotions throughout. Lacy has had a rough year, and it has affected her ability to write the songs she has contracted for. Seeking support online in a songwriters’ chat room, she finds a kindred soul. I admit, the whole Stranger-Danger thing had me wondering about her, but the person she chatted with seemed to get her and she seemed to get him. They even arranged to meet several months down the road.

Eli is as anxious to meet Lacy, aka “Love Coda,” but his band is going on tour. Little did he expect to become mesmerized by the opening singer as their attraction flares like fireworks. Are they cheating on their online “lovers?” Both continue to test the tentative bonds they have formed, then quickly pull back again, they have an exciting chemistry, with a flesh and blood companion, but will their internet attractions prove too great to ignore? You know what they say about a bird in the hand…and these two are definitely hands on.

The writing team known as Laurelin McGee has a delightfully romantic read filled with crossed signals, secrets, questionable maturity and just plain old fun reading! Leave your doubts at the door, sit back and enjoy the high notes, low notes and sour notes in the world of music between two budding talents as they discover what a small world this truly is. The eyebrow raising entertainment factor is worth an extra star!

Lacy's been having a hard time writing songs for her new album. She seeks support in an online community where she starts exchanging messages with another singer/songwriter. She develops a strong connection with her anonymous online friend which starts to lead to more, even though she has no idea who he is. Lacy is offered a huge opportunity to go on tour with an established band and develops feelings for one of the band members, Eli. They have great chemistry and Lacy has a connection with Eli, until she gets some clues that the lead singer Jax might be her online friend.

I really loved this story! I hate love triangles but this didn't feel like one at all. It was funny, light, sweet and sexy but also had some deeper moments. I absolutely adored Eli. He was so sweet. I liked the chemistry between Eli and Lacy. I also really enjoyed seeing more of Andy and Blake (from Miss Match.) This was a little more angsty than I was expecting but I really enjoyed it! I can't wait to read more by these authors!

I've fallen madly in LOVE with this book! It was the PERFECT romance! I completely adored the characters and the storyline had me on pins in needles the whole way through. Full of toe-curling sexual tension and tons of swoon-worthy moments, LOVE STRUCK is the ideal love story for contemporary romance junkies everywhere! LOVE STRUCK is the second book in Laurelin McGee's MISS MATCH series but it can be read as a standalone. This is my first, but definitely NOT MY LAST read from McGee!

LOVE STRUCK is a swoon-worthy, feel good, romantic romance that left me with such a feeling of satisfaction and glee. The anticipation of the main character's meeting drove me up the wall. I was chomping a the bit to get some face to face interaction between Lacy and Eli. These two...GAH...THESE TWO just made my heart burst with love! I don't think I took a breath throughout the entire book. It was beautiful, steamy, and oh so sweet, I couldn't get enough. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Just when I thought the truth would come out, the author tortures us with some more heat and angst. I loved it, craved it, needed more of it immediately.

Lacy and Eli made beautiful music together in this installment of the MISS MATCH series. The songwriting in the book was fantastic. The banter was cute and fun. The storyline was enticing and had such a realness to it that you just felt like you were apart of the band. Some people might not like the anticipation factor of their meeting, but keep in mind there is PLENTY goodness going around in the meantime. It may be frustrating, but it just makes the ending that much greater. I'm excited to see what's to come in this incredibly romantic series!

I could not wait to read Love Struck as Laurelin and Kayti's earlier co-written work, Miss Match, was brilliant. Though as I dove into this book and started reading, surprisingly, this book was not clicking for me like the usual Laurelin Paige books do. I can't reference Kayti's books as she has only written one solo book I believe that I did really enjoy.

Being a gal who loves rock star reads, tales of musicians mesh well with me and really rock my reader world. Love Struck is about two budding singer-song writers, Lacy and Eli, who connect online anonymously in a song writer chat group, and then are unknowingly thrown together in real life when their bands collaborate and tour together.

After a slow build up, Love Struck began to strike a chord with me, luring me into this sweet and sexy story about two musicians brought together by a twist of fate or an unconventional and modern way. Eli and Lacy are fierce yet have flaws, are sexy yet sweet, and perfect yet imperfect.

The plot is perfection. The story line is sensational. The characters are captivating. Together, they could make beautiful music. However, the pace and voice were off key.

While the third person point of view (POV) was flawlessly executed in Miss Match, this POV did not resonate well with me in Love Struck. I struggled to initially connect with the characters and the story as the first person POV would have felt more real and elicited that insta-connection.

Additionally, Love Struck, I believe, contained too much background material that slowed down the pace to a standstill at times where making a connection proved challenging. Unfortunately, third person POV typically requires more detail to build up a connection with the story and characters though it's a fine line between providing sufficient and too much information.

It took a bit longer for this story to captivate me, but I ended up enjoying Love Struck. Fun and flirty, Love Struck hit my heart with all the right notes, singing to my soul like a beautiful melody. It’s a tale with twists that flirts with fate and elicits emotions. Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee, as Laurelin McGee, certainly make magical music together, and while this story still needed some tuning, I was definitely rendered Love Struck.

I shouldn't have accepted the ARC for Love Struck. I got a widget through the publisher and since I have a hard time saying no, I accepted but I was already on the fence for this one.

I read Miss Match, the first book by Laurelin McGee and ended up giving 3 stars and not really liking it.
I prefer Laurelin when she writes her own stuff. It happens.

The blurb for Love Struck was promising. I always loved knowing about musicians, about them being on Tour.
I didn't realised the book was about Layce, Andy's sister. It was a good surprise but that was all for me.

Our MC have 31 and 26 but to me they acted like there were 18-20. Their inner monologue bored me and the story never really picked my interest enough.

This is certainly a case of it's me not you, so don't let my review change your mind ;)

I made a resolution this year I won't bother with books I'm not feeling because I have to many books waiting for me.

This is my first book by this relatively new author. Though the synopsis sounded romantic, I must admit, as strange as this may sound, I actually felt the main couple cheated on each other with each other. Since they already were falling in love while chatting regularly on-line and had just recently set a face-to-face meet date so they could take their relationship to the next level, it felt wrong for them to be attracted/intimate shortly after meeting under different circumstances. No, they didn’t realize who each other really was. Sure, these two on-line soulmates weren’t officially dating yet, but were making plans to do so. Hence, the guilt even they felt. It really made me lose interest and respect for both characters.

***spoilers possible***

I also wasn’t a fan of Eli’s coddling/giving in to what Jax, the lead singer, wanted to do all the time. To the point of letting Jax automatically get credit for songs Eli wrote. This reviewer isn’t a fan of a meek/mild hero. Yes, we eventually learn there was a reason behind it and it was useful to the plot, but ultimately I don’t think Jax benefitted or was worth the sacrifice. It certainly didn’t help him become a better person. I pretty much despised him by the end of the book.

With a huge “Oh, no! You didn’t!” moment @ 37% into it, this book really went off the rails and never recovered. You see, my fellow romance book-loving friends, Lacy, our so called heroine, decides to pursue her on-line love interest while having a fling with Eli, just to use the physical release to help her song writing mojo. Then Eli begins to think the same way about her. At 40%, Lacy starts connecting the dots…but not correctly resulting in an avalanche of misunderstandings. At one point she is actually, at least mentally, pursuing all three as potential love interests…Jax/Eli/Internet Guy.

The whiplash effect of what happens before mistaken identities are finally revealed should have been enough to quit reading this one. But like a train wreck you can’t look away from, I found myself continuing to the bitter end. The ending result is at least Lacy finally found some dignity/pride and walked away, leaving Eli having to fight for his girl. At least he, at one point, tried to do the right thing when he thought Lacy was in love with Jax. But don’t even get me started on the groupie sharing clause that was brought up. Least I remember how infuriating that was. Let’s just say it was right up there with our main couple not coming forward when they realized who was who.

So even though there were several twists and turns, I can’t recommend this one unless you aren’t offended by someone using someone else as a place holder until they get what they want. Instead of Love Struck, I think Struck Stupid would have been a more fitting title.

It was like he was looking right into her mind. Into her soul. Like he was seeing something in her that she’d been certain didn’t exist anymore. It was unnerving and strangely intimate. It stirred her. Made her feel … things. ”

Love Struck hits all the right notes!!!!! The writing duo, Laurelin McGee has once again crafted a sweet, lighthearted romance that will be playing the song and melody to our hearts. In this delightful and charming tale, Laurelin McGee beautifully weaves a story with so much depth, raw emotions, and friendship.

478559206

They say music can be food for the soul. And so Laurelin McGee will nourish our hunger for romance as they weave a story that hits all the right chords!!! Two strangers. Two musicians. Two hearts. And one beautifully written love story. The title alone,Love Struck, fits perfectly to describe the story of two musicians who not only were able to produce a beautiful song together but also discovering what has been standing in front of them. LOVE.

photo 2671892b7afdb691e8b9c76ac1c84f_zpsdsnru0av.gif “Because I’m not done telling you what else I have to fight for .” Still holding her hand , he walked closer to her until his front was nearly pressed along her back and his mouth was near her ear. Lacy could barely breathe, her voice a whisper when she asked, “What’s that?”“You.”

LOVE STRUCK is definitely your feel good lighthearted romance. I loved the modern concept of weaving a story of two people who are unaware that they are online friends when they meet each other in real life. I love that Laurelin McGee allowed readers to FEEL for the characters of Lacy and Eli. The sexual chemistry, raw vulnerability and love that these two had for each other was easily felt since their palpable and tangible connection was felt right off the opening pages when these two first developed a strong online friendship.

photo aad209ab05a7dea5787249bab3772e_zpsrfyd59w3.gif “I did. I fell completely. I love music, you know that, and you make me feel like there’s music everywhere. In crab shacks and blanket forts. And I’m not talking about the sound, but the feeling. Possibility hiding behind every moment. The feeling that music gives me—you give me that. You’re my songbird.”

So in the case of this story not only did the authors create a story that hit all the right notes but also an online love connection!!! I adore this sweet, light, funny and emotional read since it kind of reminded me of the movie, You Got Mail, since Eli and Lacy had this whole modern take of two people finding comfort, love, support and friendship in their online exchanges. So if you are looking for a story that where love is the music to the heart then this book might be for you. Be prepared to get Love Struck by the gorgeous prose of Laurelin McGee.

Another fun, sexy, witty read from the authors of the fabulous Miss Match.

Lacy has been struggling to cope in the aftermath of a terrible personal tragedy. As an up and coming musician, with studio time banked, she should be working on new music, but she has a bad case of writer's block. In desperation, she reached out to an online forum and has made a connection with another musician known only as Folx. It's seven months later and both of them have developed feelings for one another. Then Lacy gets thrown a lifeline - the opportunity to tour with a new sought-after band, and she is immediately entranced by Eli, the banjo player. Lead singer Jax has also caught her eye, but it's Eli she is continually drawn to.

As Lacy grows closer to Eli, she is consumed with guilt over Folx. Although they have arranged to meet up (to attend her sister's wedding) she isn't in a relationship with him so is it really cheating? I thought it was an interesting and intriguing concept and both mains battled to make sense of their feelings.

Fate has intervened and it seems like our two are destined for one another until Lacy comes to a rather rash conclusion which has her chasing the wrong man. It was at this point that I started getting very frustrated because the truth was obviously right under her nose but she was a bit dense to not even consider the possibility that she might be mistaken.

Eli is amazing, so sweet and considerate and caring. Lacy treats him pretty poorly at times and I wanted to throttle her. However, she clearly isn't in the right frame of mind, suffering in the aftermath of what happened with her fiancé. So, I made allowances.

I love rocker romances and I enjoyed the world created in Love Struck. I thoroughly enjoyed all the musical and touring scenes, though it was a lot tamer than some of the rock star romances I've previously read.

Initially, I was a little disappointed with this book as I had high expectations having adored Miss Match. The pacing was off at the start and the first 15% was very slow and bogged down in unnecessary details which pulled me out of the story. I was also rather unimpressed with the writing in the early chapters. I have read seven or eight of Laurelin Paige's books at this stage and her writing is superb. I haven't read Kayti's debut yet though I plan to. So, I was expecting the writing to be above par. Frustrated, I actually stopped, went off and read another book, and then came back to it. I'm really glad I did as I ended up completely loving it. The pace picked up; it was steady and flowed much better after that. The writing also improved and was more in line with my expectation.

Lacy is a great leading lady and Eli a credible swoon-worthy leading man. Together, they make the most beautiful music (cheesy, I know) and their chemistry was scorching hot and thoroughly believable.

Jax, uh. I hated him. He was so selfish and rude. Not mad about Kat either but we aren't given a hell of a lot to understand what really is going on with her. I loved the small glimpses we got of Andy and Blake and loved that we got to see them tie the knot. Yay!

While there are plenty of humorous moments (that scene in the lobby. Argh! So cringey but so, so funny) I didn't think it was quite up to the standard of Miss Match in that regard. To be fair, that's a very high benchmark as Miss Match is one of the funniest books I've ever read. The romance and sex scenes were brilliantly written and I loved all the angst/frustration and the to-ing and froing of both mains. Emotions were scattered and it was very tense/fraught at times and I lapped it up!

All in all, this was another great read. If you are finding it a little slow at the start, don't give up - keep reading and I promise it will be worth your while. I can't wait to see what this duo come up with next.

Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee's Love Struck is a swoony read which is full of romance that leaves you with a giddy feeling from start to finish. I adored the story line that Laurelin and Kayti adopted for this book. It wasn't fast paced neither it was so slow that I felt bogged down while reading.

There are tons of swoony-romance moments with loads of sexual tension. The anticipation of the main characters, Lacy and Eli, was driving me crazy! There were so many touch and go moments where they were literally a breath away from meeting each other and then BAM!
The opportunity flew away. I was climbing the wall for Lucy and Eli to just know about the real identity and for the mix up to clear up. I was flipping the pages so fast for that moment to come!

GAHHH!!! The authors literally tortured us with the anticipation.

Lacy and Eli make a beautiful pair who makes equally beautiful music. The story line is enticing and exactly what pulled me in to read this book.

There might be some of you who will find the anticipation of Lacy and Eli frustrating but there are enough good moments in the book, this little bit won't weigh heavily on your mind.

The banter was fun.
The couple was a beautiful pair.
The music was amazing.
The story line is enticing.

All in all Love Struck is a fun one time read.

Love Struck was an ok read.

While I enjoyed the storyline and I liked the characters I wasn't a big fan of the sort of love triangle.
It left me questioning their true feelings, especially Lacy =/
Once Eli and Lacy opened up and talked about their feelings and fears I knew these two would have a good life ahead.

A big thank you to the publisher St Martin's Press for the ARC via Netgalley in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Eli is sexy and Lacy likes to over analyze at times, "leaning against the bed across from her, Eli shrugged. “Or you could just stay.” She froze. What did that mean? Was it a come-on? Or was she misreading ? Did she want it to be a come-on? Was she too full to be sexy?" I liked this book I loved Eli.

I was really hoping I would love this more, and going into Love Struck, I really thought I would, but I felt like it way too long to get the situation out in the open, and I don't like a lot of what happened in the book. When I read the first book, I liked Lacy a lot, and I did still like her in this book, but just not as much as I would have thought from the first book. I felt she was too ditzy, and her actions were grating on me. The fact that she would use someone because it helped her write music better was such a disappointing thing for me. I loved the whole premise of having falling in love/extreme like with someone you haven't seen, but have an deep bond with anyway, and I don't usually like books about musicians because they usually are skeezy (just like how the lead singer from this book, Jax, was), but I didn't mind it so much in this book, and I absolutely loved the lyrics in the book. I did like Eli, and I liked that he wasn't the obvious choice for the lead man. I do think Eli and Lacy have excellent chemistry, and they do have some spicy scenes. So, I like Love Struck, but I just felt it had way too much angst, and a lot of the middle could have been cut down, and I was disappointed with Lacy. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first book, but it was still good, and I do like Laurelin McGee's writing, so I am look forward to more books by McGee!

This is the second book I've read from the author Laurelin McGee. Laurelin McGee stands for two authors: Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee. The first book in this series I absolutely loved. I wish I could say the same about the second book.

After her fiancé dies, Lancy is left broken, trying to piece together her life and hoping to filter her headache through her music. I can't say I really appreciated her character but her character was well rounded and her backstory brought her heartache to the surface. Eli is a gifted musician/writer with dreams of branching out on his own. Eli's character drove me crazy! His character really brought the book down for me. I was really hoping for a stronger character.

This story is far more complicated than it needs to be and the inner monologue and the plot dragged. I did really enjoy reading about the perspective of a singer/songwriter and what it's like going on tour. I especially found myself loving the creativity and the dynamic of what it takes to write a song.

Overall, I think you either loved the complexity and Eli or you didn't care for it. The writing was well done and I think these authors are very talented. This book just wasn't for me.

This sweet romance was a quick and delightful read. It had all the makings of a great summer romantic read. The character's felt developed, and I would've liked to see more from the heroine's past. But for a fast romantic read, this is a solid choice.

I fell in love with the first book in this series and was dying to find out what would happen with Lacy.

Lacy is a singer/songwriter who lost her fiancé a year ago. Ever since then she hasn't wrote any new songs and she hasn't really healed. She decides to join an online group to see if that will get her creative juices flowing. She starts talking to this guy and they kind of have a relationship. When she is offered to go on tour with a band she accepts and hopes it will help her heal.

Eli is in an band but there have been some creative differences in the group so when he joins the online group he hopes to get out some of the frustration that he is dealing with. He starts having these online dates with a woman who is having writers block. They make a decision to set a date in the future to meet but they have no idea how soon they will come face to face.

I loved the road that McGee took these two characters on. When they first meet they are attracted to one another and look for ways to spend more time together. Of course there are some challenges that get in the way but I just couldn't get enough of their story.

These two never acted like strangers and that's one thing I just adored about them both. They opened up to each other about so many personal things. Even though they were into one another I like how jealous they became when other people would get close to one of them.

While the first book in this series was funny and outgoing this one was more emotional and about moving on. But the one thing that really kept me hooked was the characters. They are so different but they helped make this story enjoyable.

Hopefully this won't be the last book in this series and McGee will keep continuing to bring awesome characters and different plots to each and everyone.

I’m not even sure where to begin with this review. I loved this book and I also kind of hated it.
It was fun and it was frustrating. It was sexy, and sweet, and sad. I was struck with all kinds of emotions reading Love Struck…I was giddy at times, loving the budding online relationship between LoveCoda and Folx, and the real life burgeoning romance between Lacey and Eli; I was frustrated at times, at the lack of communication between Lacey and Eli, between Lacey and Jax, between Eli and Jax; I was upset with the way Eli just bowed down to Jax, not standing up for himself even though I understood to an extent why he didn’t.
Althought Love Struck is a great book, it was not quite the light-hearted feel good romantic comedy I was expecting.

I absolutely loved the chemistry between Eli and Lacey, they really are wonderful together. Eli is so charming and loveable, and Lacey, for all her outer toughness, is sweetly vulnerable. I was hooked on them from the start, and honestly, I wish the “plot twist” with Jax hadn’t come into play. To me it was unnecessary and accounts for most of the sadness I felt when reading this story. I thought the main storyline, with Eli/Lacey/LoveCoda/Folx was strong enough to carry the book on its own, without the added drama of throwing Jax in there.

Although it seems I had more issues with this book than not, I really did enjoy it. The writing is captivating, the characters endearing, and I was completely invested in following the story through to the end…even though it took awhile to get there. I needed for both Eli and Lacey to get their heads on straight and fight for each other! True love needed to win in the end, these 2 were meant to be together.

I have to start by saying that it took me until almost 40% of the book before I really started enjoying it. I almost put it down several times but I'm so glad I didn't. The last half of it definitely made up for what I thought was a slow start. I liked the beginning, but then felt like it took a long time to get the story moving.

The "Sleepless in Seattle"-like story line was very romantic and the conflicts between the characters; both within themselves and with each other were real and made me FEEL a lot...lots of "feels" in this book. Lacy and Eli have been talking anonymously online in a songwriters group and have developed a close friendship that way. Then Lacy ends up being the opening act for Eli's band during their tour without either of them knowing who the other was. The fact that they were drawn to one another both online AND in person, thinking it was two separate people, only more deeply instilled into me the knowledge that they were made for each other. The times when they felt like they were 'cheating' on their online relationship made me want to scream to them the truth!
The big problem? Lacy figures out that her online person is a member of the band...she just thinks it's the wrong member. This starts a huge case of miscommunication and complete lack of communication that further leads to hurt feelings. Once all this stuff starts getting found out is when the story got really great for me and I couldn't stop reading it.
So even though I had a hard time getting into it at first I would still recommend it to all of my reading friends!

Love Struck is the first book I have read by Laurelin McGee – who together is Laurelin Paige and Kayti Mcgee. While I have read books by Laurelin, I have never read anything by Katyi and figured this was a good place to start.

Love Struck is a endearing and uplifting read, well the majority of it is. It does have it moments that will make you tear up but the overall book really gives you a happy vibe.

Lacy is trying to find her way back to song writing after a huge change in her life. She doesn’t go the pity party or really ever show she’s down on her luck, but she knows she’s struggling an needs to find that motivation she once had.

Eli’s band is going on tour and he’s stoked to be able to do what he loves. However, he too has his own problems going on. He’s not one to be center of attention and tends to blend in with the crowd. He’s easy going and extremely laid back.

I really enjoyed this book for various reasons. First, there’s the online portion where members must stay anonymous. And then when they are put on tour together unbeknownst to the other, it just adds another cool twist into the story.

I really enjoyed how they wrote this plot. My only issue was the characters didn’t seem to act their age (they are 26 and 31) and they seemed to act more like early 20’s. Outside of that, I really did enjoy this book. I enjoyed the musical part of this book and how they delved into what musicians struggle with.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable book. I look forward to reading more from these two authors.

I loved this book! It was so cute and flirty. I loved how it was such a different take on a rock star story, and focused more on musicians and songwriters. I also adored how it had an online relationship, something that occurs more and more often these days.

“She sat up as the realization dawned on her. I need orgasms to write songs!”

This is Lacy’s problem—she has writer’s block and hasn’t been able to write a song in a year. So, after she is asked to tour with The Blue Hills, a local band whose music she digs, and hooks up with Eli, the sexy banjo/mandolin player, suddenly her block isn’t so bad.

However, she feels bad about “cheating” on her online relationship. This goes back and forth until she thinks she knows the true identity of her online boyfriend, and starts to spend time with him.

“Time with both hotties had stirred her feminine hormones into a storm. Was this what The Weather Girls mean by “It’s Raining Men”? If so, she wasn’t singing, Hallelujah. She was praying, Help me, Lord.”

There are quite a few “plot twists” and “best days” and I loved how fresh and fun this story was! I adored the cast of characters, especially Lacy’s sister, Andy. It was a really easy, enjoyable read that I hated to put down when I had to actually be involved in the real world. I look forward to more for this writing duo as they just keep getting better! ~ Tiffany, 4.5 stars

Love Struck from Laurelin McGee is a sweet love story of strangers that meet online and fate that brings them together. Told in Duel POV Love Struck tell the story of Lacy Dawson a young, beautiful and extremely talented singer/songwriter who is stuck in a rut after loosing her fiance tragically the year prior. Lacy signs up for a online support group for song writers to help get inspiration and meets Folx who over time becomes someone she can rely on to be there even if it's only online. Eli Frank loves to create and when he meets Love online he has an instant online connection with her he can't explain. When both Lucy & Eli are on the same tour but don't know they are each other's online identities confusion, emotions and angst is to be had.

I really liked this book even with the differences from the blurb, this is not your standard Rockstar romance. Love Struck is cute, sweet, funny, frustrating and down right angsty at times but I adored every page. I enjoyed seeing Lacy evolve from her painful past and open up to others and Eli opening his eyes to what he wants in life. Love Struck is a solid 4.5 stars.

4 Romantic, Heart-warming Stars

A romance that will make your heart sing, Love Struck hits all the high notes. This sweet and heartwarming novel will leave you humming and smiling to yourself.

Lacy is an up and coming artist when her life is up-ended. Now, a year later., she is trying to find herself again and find her way back to the music that has always healed her soul. The only thing keeping her sane? An anonymous virtual friend who shares her musical passion. If only we could meet those kinds of people in real life.

Compassionate, witty and sexy musician, Eli, enters her life during an exciting time and brings the blood flowing back to all those vital parts. But can he make her heart sing again?

Love Struck is funny, sexy, and has you wishing you could listen to the music that brings this story to life. My only complaint was that I found myself expecting to be gutted by the tragedy that plagues our heroine. I wanted all of the feels with this book and truly it had the potential. I feel like the authors could have taken that emotional situation to the next level and that would have made this book perfection.

This romantic comedy is so good - like one of Lacy's well-constructed, thought out (with a sippy cup so nothing gets damaged) blanket forts. Eli and Lacy aren't average romcom hero/heroine partners either, which I liked a lot. Their internal struggles balance the comedy of their dual identities with just the right amount of angst and universal humanity to leave the reader feeling as if she's reading a "real" love story. Both characters use the "fake it to make it" practice of daily living until each realizes risk and change, while scary, have to occur to obtain the future wanted. Also, if you like reading about the processes involved in making music and touring, you'll get accurate discussions of key changes and chord progressions as well as interesting personality dynamics among band mates. A really sweet, humorous, and well-written follow up to Miss Match.

Like Christina Lauren, Laurelin McGee is the combination of two authors Laurelin Paige (you discovered her in France with the saga Fixed on You) and Kayti McGee. Both authors therefore propose us a nice romance. Love Struck is the second book in the saga Miss Match, but if like me you have not read the first tome don't worry because I did not have any question or concern while reading it.

Lacy Dawson is a young woman whose musical career began to get success. But now, she has a huge problem: she is unable to write any piece of music. She is blocked and it starts to become problematic because she has only a few weeks before having to release a new album. Panic is here but she hides it from all those close to her. She does not open about except with her virtual friend Foxnotdead27. Indeed, she is registered on the site Song Writers Anonymous (SoWriAn) and through regular discussions with the young man, she feels a little calmer and both decides to take a step up and break the forum's rules . They get along so well that they cannot not meet. The date is taken and they just have to wait.

At that time, thanks to Kat afriend, Lacy will be able to be on the roads to be the first part of Blue Hills, a group of four boys whose success is increasingly important. Who knows she might find inspiration on stage? Lacy had a "trauma" in her past and she speaks slowly with Eli Frank, a member of the group. With him everything is simple and clear. He listens, understands, doesn't judge and helps her . But if things are so simple between them and that alchemy and the attraction is immediate them. Will they let sexual intercourses come into it? Throughout the novel, Lacy is torn between doubt, guilt, envy and passion. When she does an incredible discovery, it will embark her on a quest that could leave traces in its path.

Eli is the quiet strength. Although he is the lyricist of the band, he accepted without hesitation to get back and let all the spotlight on his friend Jax. He forgives him and lets him do as he pleases. Even if we sometimes want to shake him, Eli is the embodiement of empathy because he constantly helps others, he goes to them even if for that he must give up his dreams and desires. For some he lacks character but he is simply a nice man who puts the needs of others before his own. Online, he will develop a relationship with LoveCoda. When he learns that he will be able to meet her, he is overjoyed but that joy will quickly give way to guilt. Even if they are not a couple, he is upset by his incredible attraction to Lacy. When they are together, nothing else exists. It was nice to say that we must put an end to all that, it does not. The more he tries to put barriers between them the more he is irresistibly drawn towards her. Will he resist and remain "faithful" to LoveCoda? Will he stop being jealous of Jax who continues to get closer to the young woman? Will he finally confront his destiny?

The secondary characters are also interesting. I enjoyed being annoyed by Jax who is a caricature of the rock star. He likes to be seen, that swears by him and that women throw themselves at his feet. It is an endless egotism and we often want to smack him. He does not take things seriously and does not care for collateral damage. He wants to shine denying the risk of crushing all those around him. He hides a flaw but it became a means of blackmail with Eli. He does not care of other feelings and takes whatever he wants without asking for this. It will cause a huge blunder he will not realiza but the consequences could be disastrous. As for Andy, she is the sister of Lacy and since the death of their parents, they have always lived together. Busy preparing her marriage with Blake, she is stressed. Yet she does not hesitate to come and see her sister even if she has no consciousness of hassle and blocking paralyzing Lacy. I liked her presence as it brings a little levity to a sometimes heavy atmosphere.

In short, I had a great time reading Love Struck despite some lengths sometimes in the unfolding of the plot. The misunderstandings are present and we want only one thing: seeing the characters finally open their eyes to their surroundings to finally capture the reality.
