This is a true enemies to lovers / forced marriage story. I was hooked from the first chapter. The tension, angst, and slow burn was written beautifully.
Yildiz has become one of my favorite FMC’s.

Until the Sand Claims Us is a fresh, unique new adult fantasy romance that hooks you from the beginning. Author Israh Azizi has created an addictive page turner involving a Central Asian-inspired world, complete with flying horse animal companions and a culturally rich desert kingdom.
The female protagonist, Yildiz, is a brave and resilient main character whose faith and dedication make her an incredibly inspiring lead. The male main character, Dayyan, better known as the Prince of Death in the Khatatian Desert, provides the perfect amount of morally grey exhibitions and internal suffering that would pull at all heart strings.
Together, Yildiz and Dayyan create the perfect amount of tension and yearning through their enemies to lover's plight. And what excellent use of plot twists and most readers favorite tropes like arranges marriage and forced proximity to keep the reader eager to find out more. Not to overshadow, however, the palace intrigue which was quite enjoyable.
Highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for an amazing reading experience.
