Jake Biondi began BOYSTOWN as an online story and intended to release one "episode" online per month, each ending in a cliffhanger. The story became so popular -- and the online reading audience grew so quickly -- that people from all over the country began to email him demanding to know what happened to their favorite characters and wanting the episodes to be released faster. They also had suggestions for future storylines. Excited by and grateful for his readers’ responses to BOYSTOWN, Biondi began to write and release installments more quickly.

Eventually, Biondi moved BOYSTOWN offline and published the first ten installments in book form as BOYSTOWN Season One. The book became an international hit, with fans all over the globe clamoring for more. Since then, Biondi has released numerous additional BOYSTOWN series books.

Biondi later introduced his thrilling MAJESTY series, a period drama about the royal Chamberlain family. Like BOYSTOWN, MAJESTY has been embraced by fans who love action-packed twists and turns as well as a touch of romance.

Love, Sex, Affairs and Libido. That was the slogan of the both previous books in the series.

Hate, Vengeance, Libido and HATRED is the slogan of the third book. Honestly, I have never met this HUGE number of people in one book, who plan to get rid of their enemies/rivals in THIS radical way. And I don't know if I can tolerate it any longer. Not this quantity of hatred, but this quantity of drama that accompanies the story.

I warn you again, you have to be in the mood for a written soap opera that is overloaded with DRAMA. Of course ONLY in case, you're NOT a passionate fan of old Mexican soap operas. If you ARE, then it is a MUST READ for you.

If you decide to give it a try(after all my mild warnings) - don't take it too seriously, make you a list with the name of all MCs (there are many of them!) and how ALL of them are connected with each other. Just a friendly advice.

You'll thank me after. Because I don't think that there are too many hard-boiled readers who can read all three already existed books in one sitting. And if you read them with a year/a half of a year interval you'll no longer know who is who. Just a friendly advice.

Warning: READING THIS SERIES IS NOT HEALTHY. I'm already damaged. So, I don't care.

First off I have to say that Jake has created a series that is incredible and should become a TV series because it is so good you need to see the characters live once you have read the book. I started following and stalking Jake after reading Boystown Season One.

The first season describes the characters and builds up to a climatic ending and then season two picks right up where season one leaves off and you start to see the characters for who they are and what they want. In season two you also get lots of twists and turns and things start to kick off before the new year.

Season Three picks up on New Years Eve and lordy lordy I have to say that Jake really had me on the edge of my seat because there are pregnancies, cheating, drinking, attempted murders and maybe the most shocking is one of my favorite love to hate characters is shot and may be dead. All the couples are in the thick of things and we get to meet new characters and find out who mugged Cole. We also get to find out who Jesse's father is.

Stuff is popping off and this is a MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need season four right now!

Chicago's never going to be the same again.

Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag and with it came an explosive scandal that rocked the loves and lives of the men and women of Boystown.

New Year's Eve: An explosive film shakes the thunder from the engagement announcement between Emmett Mancini and Max Taylor. In it, Derek is shown to confess his love for Cole. Joyelle runs in humiliation and despair, Derek runs after his pregnant wife. It is all thanks to Rachel Carson whose need for vindictiveness not only begins the ruination of two lives, but treads on a potentially fatal one. Sound good so far?

Then the explosion that rocks their world clears revealing an aftermath where lives are greatly affected. There is chaos, there is blood shed and the tears are just about to take over the readers eyes. But wait! There is more.

Sorry, no spoilers.

Then there are the Mancini brothers. Their involvement in the explosion is something I cannot reveal, Derek's life is filled with loss, Justine's life is just as filled with loss, if not more, in the meantime, there is Marco Ciancio and his involvement with the scrambling of the Mancini brothers as well as Rachel. Getting complicated so far?

Mea culpa!

In the meanwhile, Derek is making sure he is making amends with Joyelle. Secretly. And he blames Keith for everything and continues to deny his sexuality. Hmmmm stuff straight out of telenovela series. Then again, it wouldn't be Boystown unless it were.

Further along... there is the question of Justin's condition and the company business. And then there is Derek's relationship with Cole. Slipping into the murky waters now... Then there is the fundraiser. Oh! I forgot, there is also the issue of the fourth Mancini brother. Where Season Two left us with a resounding kaboom, Season Three is leaving us with a bang.

OI!

Okay, so this series is driving me insane. I tell, you, with the way the twists twist my neck and the firing of synapses nearly snap my neck, sorry for being so poetic, but anyone who knows me should realize by now this is the only noontime opera I watch, err, sorry, read and I am addicted. That ending????? It is way worse than Season Two.

I hate you Biondi!!!

Note: I need at least a trailer for Season Four? Pretty Please? Also, can you give me some airtime with Derek so I can bitch slap him?

5 heart review by Kimberley

This book is two hundred, sixty eight pages of fabulously salacious, drama filled, yummy goodness. This book is definitely made for television or at least as a web series. The lives of this particular group of people is filled with so much drama, it’s crazy ridiculous but oh so divine. There is so much that goes on in this book, I didn’t know where to start so to make it easier, I’ll just serve you small bites at a time.

Let’s start with Emmet and Max. These two seem to be the ‘focus couple’ of the story as all the drama seems to center around them. These are two of my least favorite characters; I couldn’t stand them in the first two books, either. I am not buying these two as good guys, Emmett’s sweetness and light image is the biggest facade. Emmett and Max are sneaky, their whole ‘friends to lovers’ story complete lie. These two were more than just friends and their former fiancées knew it.

This brings me to Logan and Keith. Max’s and Emmet’s exes, respectively, weren’t as blindsided by the so called budding relationship between the two. Logan is just one of the cast of characters who I feel deserves a HEA. Keith, I can smack on the back of the head.

Then there’s Joyelle and Derek. Joyelle is sweet as pie if a bit naive at times. I like her. I would run Derek down with my car.

I adore Michael Marinez, the sweet and tough detective. He’s too good for his new boyfriend. Gino Ciancio is a sweetheart as well despite his family being maniacs. It took me a little while to warm up to his character. Justin, like this brother Derek, is an ass. But unlike Derek, I feel that he can be redeemed.

Marco Ciancio is a bastard as is Rachel. These two psychos deserve each other along with another psycho, Ben, aka Shawn and Jessee. The situation between Ben aka Shawn, Jessee, Jacqueline, Jessee’s mother is just plain NASTY. But oh, so soap opera deliciously EVIL. I just want to burn those three at the stake.

I could go on but it would take me a great deal of time to go through the entire cast of these wonderfully written cast of characters. Biondi does a superb job of blending them together. This story has so many levels to it, you never ever get tired of reading it. You are drawn in from word one and remain mesmerized by the various shenanigans until the last page. I received the ARC Thursday evening and finished reading it by its Friday morning May 1st release date. It was just that damned fantastic. This is by far THE most addicting series that I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. This story is written like a soap opera script. There are no chapters and they’re divided by episodes which makes it that much more interesting to read. This story is fast paced with characters being added here and there but you never lose track of the plot or storyline! That is another thing that’s so amazing with this series. How in the world is he able to maintain these complex and lively and characters is mind boggling. Jake Biondi did more than write an MM book, he wrote a fantastic script for the perfect LGBT soap opera. HE does it better than what is currently on daytime television now. As the World Turns needs him to write the script for their LGBT characters. If they did, I guarantee the ratings would go through the roof. If there was ever a book in the LGBT writing genre that needs to be on television, this is it.

Take a bow, Mr. Biondi. You’re definitely receiving a standing ovation for this.

Boystown Season Three-Boystown Series Jake Biondi!!!I recommend this series to be read in order!

The New Years Eve explosion leaves everyone fighting for their lives and leaves the survivors trying to put their lives back together which is no easy task with this bunch. The Mancini-Ciancio family feud is getting seriously out of hand with members fighting for control.

This series could completely be made into a television series and I believe that it should be as when reading this series I actually felt that I was watching a drama TV series. Emmet and Max, all the drama and story seems to be focusing on these guys and the explosion that erupted when they announced their engagement. Derek has no choice but to accept and realize his love for Cole. So much happens in this novel and the series and the drama that follows these characters is quite intense so get ready for a wild ride that Jake will take you on. A great twist happens with Emmet and Max as their friendship wasn't quite what they have been portraying.

I enjoyed the 3rd installment in the Boystown Series and at times it was intense as some of the characters and their actions were not the most lovable by any means but this just speaks volumes of the brilliant writing as not everything in life is roses...lol I won't go through all the characters as I would be here for a very long time as the novel is filled with some hot and riveting well written characters. Jake will have you glued to each page and the high intensity will make it very difficult to put the book down. I found that I wanted this 3rd installment to go on and on and what amazing characters. Yes there are quite a few of them but Jake blends them so well together. This is a fascinating series and I for one hope it never stops or in the show format, hope it never gets cancelled and keeps getting renewed. Trust me you don't want to miss Boystown Season Three or the entire Boystown Series by Jake Biondi!!!

A Joyfully Jay review.

Boystown Season Three has finally arrived. I will just mark this entire review as a spoiler, although I will not go into too much of the details of the season. Each season is built upon the one previous and every word spoken has the opportunity to give something away. The book stays true to the theme of the series and reads like a scripted TV show. There is less reality here and all nighttime drama as the characters act and react in the manner that the script demands them to. It’s entertaining, it’s fast paced, it’s way over the top at times, and there is revenge, love, lust, scheming, and blackmail.

There is so much going on, yet despite the frenetic pace, Biondi is once again able to keep up with every story line as they weave together and overlap. It’s true dramatic angst where no one is allowed to be happy for long. The characters make questionable decisions time and again as they take their actions further with each episode. Speaking of episodes, the season is once again divided into episodes, which should be a place to potentially take a break, but the writing and highly charged atmosphere becomes so addictive that the entire season is over way too soon.

It’s the style of the story that some characters that were favorites last season become questionable and some characters that were not as favored become more likable and it’s a true ensemble piece with an entire variety of characters. It was so well done how the scenes would shift so quickly yet the writing remained so streamlined. The writing continues to be clever as each character has a connection to the next that is remarkably easy to follow. There are also new characters introduced that have story lines that were not fully developed and there are a lot of questions left to be answered and stories left to be told.

Reviewing the Boystown books can be pretty difficult. So much happens to the characters in every book, that it seems hard to explain my thoughts without giving away spoilers. It is important to mention there is a cliffhanger ending at the end of the first two books and its the same at the end of book 3. Just like the other two books or seasons the story line skips between characters without a lot of flow. It reinforces the feeling that these books are more like a television drama series or soap opera. The chapters are even called episodes.

Though everyone came through relatively unscathed by the events at the end of Season 2, there is a lot more in store for these characters. As danger unfolded around them over and over, I began to wonder what this small group of characters did to constantly land themselves in peril. In some cases, I could believe it was Karma doing it’s job, but others, the very few innocent and truly good characters, was it guilt by association? Still the action is alive in Season 3. There are a few characters I’d like to see their demise to be honest and some that need to be slapped around a little in order for them to stop making the same stupid mistakes.

Revenge is a big factor in this season as well as power. There are some secrets revealed, some just explored, and a few new ones introduced. I did get frustrated a few times with the characters and their inability to keep doing dumb things, but for the most part I was glued to everything that happened. Though Season 3 just released, I find myself needing the next one to find out what will happen after the latest disaster to befall the characters.

This is definitely a made for TV Series.... The lives of so many close friends are changed in the most dramatic ways. The story line remains strong carrying through from the first 2 Episodes. The characters are very well developed on so many levels. The story provides all the action, drama, suspense, emotions, and Sex that continue to cause the story to explode with unbelievable events. The story starts out with the New Year's Party that is celebrating Emmett and Max's engagement. But a film of Derek and Cole's love for each other is revealed, then all Hell breaks loose. As they evacuate the hotel, a limousine explodes and another scene takes place within the hotel which begins the changes of the lives of all these friends. The story is a very fast moving, action packed, story which is heart wrenching, gripping, sit on the edge of your seat episode. The characters are so intertwined with each other, that one affects the other. The Mancini and Ciancios Families feud continues to play a dangerous component with the Ciancios Family trying to destroy the other. I must say the lies, deceit, hurt, and the hate plays throughout the story. And yes there are some really BAD guys in this novel. Can these couples survive?? Emotionally and Physically.... Another cliff hanger with a lot of lives in the balance. Love these episodes. Jake has done a Brilliant job with this ongoing series that you just can't get away from. I feel that these first 3 episodes are just a real taste of what is yet to come. It is a Must Read!! MM Love

I'm going through some serious withdrawals here! I just finished and I want season 4, like, yesterday!

This series keeps getting better with each book. Out of all the coupling going on, I was only rooting for Derek and Cole, so I'm feeling a bit let down, mainly because Derek was such an utter ass in this, that I was happy that Cole finally woke up and wanted to move on from him. As much as I like David, I'm having a hard time accepting him with Cole.
I'm a devoted follower of my favorite couples, what can I say? No matter how dysfunctional and screwed up their relationship may be.

And add in the dilemma of finding out who's the baby daddy of poor put-upon Joyelle. That girl needs a nice tropical vacation with lots of margaritas, stat!

Hurry up and get here season 4!

Wow. Again Jake Biondi doesn't disappoint. Season 3 is as messed up (in a good way) as the first 2 seasons of Boystown. It's full of lies, deception, cheating & half truths, blackmail & jealousy. It had me cursing & cringing at most of the guys in at least one point during this season, often multiple times for some of the characters. It's busy & fast paced but you never get lost in the story or mixed up between any of the characters, which with the way all of these lives intertwine it's a testament to the great writing of the author. Again it leaves us with a cliff hanger that will have me stalking the author for the next season.

Okay...I give up. I simply cannot read any more of this series because the plot and characters are so ridiculous. However, I skimmed through the beginning and end of each book and basically everyone is getting shot, poisoned, run over by a car, pushed off a balcony, falling down a flight of stairs, or getting trapped in a burning building. Each time you think a character gets killed off, then it turns out they miraculously survived or faked their death. I'm just thankful I got the entire series for free on Smashwords and didn't waste any money on this trash...

This book has your brain all over the place, in a good way.
There are so many elements but each one is explained well, flowing effortlessly throughout the book.
I will say by 3/4's through I hated Derek. His constant back and forth between his wife and lover could give a reader whiplash but by the end you are screaming that his story can't end this way.
Can't wait for book 4

Oh, my! Where do I begin? Remembering about the video that was made during Max's and Emmett's engagement party (you know, Derek saying "I love you" to Cole and stunned Joyelle). And Ben!!! Dude, he has mental issues!! This is the most dramatic season I have ever read, but this cliffhanger is going to leave me hanging until Season 4 comes out! Come on, Jake! I am desperate to find out!!!!

“Complete satisfaction is often elusive. Because of unforeseen circumstances or shifts in focus, people often adjust their goals as they work toward them. Even the most carefully planned strategies often require revision or fine-tuning. And sometimes the path to success is a long and bumpy one.” ©︎ Jake Biondi - Boystown Season 3

Another fantastic page-turner and amazing continuance of this series. I couldn’t put this book down. There is so much going on in Boystown and this season brings you tons of drama and action. This group of friends seem unable to catch a break.

Boystown is on 🔥... revenge is being seemed, secrets are being brought to light and plans are going into event. Some lives will be saved while others are being destroyed.

Can’t wait to see what Season 4 has in store for the people of Boystown!

What a way to start this book!!! I still love Cole and he is still one of my favorites but I will have to admit that I love Emmett as well!! With each new book, we get a better look into each of the characters and not only their lives but we get a better perspective on their true character. Emmett is one of those, the more you get to know him the more you cannot help but to love him!!

This book started with a bang!!! And it ended with another unexpected twist that I did not see coming!!! With each new book I find myself more invested in what happens to each of these characters. I have those that I am cheering for and those that I have mixed emotions about!! I cannot wait to see how the next book leaves me feeling about each of these people in this book!!!

Another incredible read!!

Still entertaining, but I begin to wonder when the formula will run stale. People in this book are mainly driven by the need to screw each other over. Sometimes for money or power, but the act of lying itself seems to be rewarding in itself. Perfect groundwork for the drama it is. For the rest, there‘s sex. In this episode, it is only good when it comes in two rounds.

BOYSTOWN is back with an action-packed, fast-paced, drama filled third season! Jake Biondi creates some of the most colorful, entertaining characters and puts them in questionable - often dangerous - situations. Season Two ended in a total cliffhanger, leaving readers anxious for answers. I know I was dying to know who survived the fallout at Max and Emmett's engagement party. With so many story lines up in the air, it's a relief Biondi picks up right where he left off.

So let's discuss some of the major things happening as S2 drew to a close. First things first - the Derek/Joyelle/Cole love triangle. I don't know, is it really even a love triangle? Derek's definitely conflicted about his feelings toward Joyelle and Cole, and I think he'd prefer not to have to choose between them. Unfortunately this is fictional reality, so he must. There's no way his wife will stand by and willingly share him with Cole, and Cole's definitely not giving up without a fight. Fans following this story will love the twists Biondi adds in S3. For a second I almost thought Derek's predicament had been solved for him, but Biondi's clever writing manages to add even more complications. If anything has come out of it, I've lost most of my sympathy for Derek. His dominant, controlling side really shows as things play out, and I've relegated him to "you get what you deserve" status. At least we get a little closure to this storyline...for now.

Next up is Jesse/Logan/Ben/Jaqueline. Talk about a mess! If you ask me, Jesse is one misguided individual. I'm not sure who thinks it's a good idea to convince your mother that your former lover turned stepdad is a maniac by luring him to a hotel room for sex. I mean, how messed up is that? Then when your mom and current boyfriend find you, don't be surprised that everything falls apart. In S3 Biondi tackles this plot from all sides, giving each person time to react and cope with what happened. Ben and Jesse seem to be on a path of destruction with little anyone can do to stop it. Logan and Jaqueline are slightly more level headed, although Biondi gives them plenty of hurdles to cross before any kind of happiness is attainable.

If you're dying for more about the Ciancio-Mancini feud, you won't be disappointed. S3 really pushes the envelope, and we get into the thick of it. So much is happening, so much is changing; these families could easily rival the Ewings in terms of drama and deception. I nearly lost track of all the secrets and lies while trying to ferret out which liaisons are genuine and which are just part of the endgame. Call me a romantic, but I'm really hoping Gino and Justin end up to be the real thing. I have trust issues, though, so I worry it might be too good to be true.

I could really go on and on, but those are a few of the highlights you can expect in S3 of BOYSTOWN. There's plenty of drama for characters new and old, all culminating in a fundraiser you'll never forget. Not to be the bearer of bad news, but get ready for a cliffhanger that's probably bigger than the last. Biondi has really outdone himself this time, and I'm not sure how anyone will survive. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...no matter how much it kills us.

BOYSTOWN has become almost a guilty pleasure for me - it's kind of like reading a really racy soap opera complete with sex, lies and secret baby daddies. I still love Biondi's delivery style, writing in vignettes that seamlessly overlap from scene to scene. You get a sense that things are happening simultaneously all over Chicago. One thing's for sure, there's never a dull moment.

Like I said before, this series is more like a screen play than a book. I know there is a crusade to make this series into a television show on a cable channel. I really think that is possible if the right people catch a whiff of it.

This season of BOYSTOWN, we continue the stories of friends and lovers in Chicago. Love, deceit, tragedy, comedy, and intrigue. All the wonderful components to make any soap opera a hit. Like any soap, there are story lines I love and can't get enough of, and some that I can't wait until they resolve so that I can stop hearing about them. If you are a soap addict, read this series!!!!!!

OMG, the plot(s) thickens! And there are so many plots that my head is spinning.

Better not drink each time some drama happens to the characters! LOL

These books, oopps, sorry, seasons are getting better and better! I know all of the characters well by now, which makes me even more engaged in what happens with the, and to them, and by them.

I don’t want to give anything away so I’m not going to talk about the plot too much. Long story short, they are two feuding families and everybody around them is getting caught in the crossfire in all sorts of ways. I also love the way he ties real-world problems that plague our community while adding a level of suspended disbelief. Just know that, after reading Book/Season 1, things go from bad to worse and the ride keeps going faster and faster. There are little spaces for breathing because there’s always something happen and each chapter/episode is left on a cliffhanger.
