Rate this book
Emma Matthews feels humiliated.

She hasn’t been with a man since the devastating betrayal of her college boyfriend.

That is, until she meets Hunter Pearson, an extremely wealthy businessman hosting a charity auction.

And Hunter is gorgeous. He’s charming, confident, and funny—not to mention a fantastic cook. She’d give Hunter everything in an instant, and she wants to. She just doesn’t want this relationship to end up like the last.

But there’s something neither Emma nor Hunter knows that could make it end even worse.

The Verboten Series is a scorching three-part serial (like a TV show). It features a powerful billionaire businessman and steamy romance between step-siblings. Be sure to start with Book 1, Tempting Her Limits ! Each installment is approximately 15,000 words.

What a great book and a different route the author took.
The council only wanted shifters that did not have the defective genes to produce cubs. Male shifters had a duty to find a human and mate with them. I had to look at the council’s reasoning as sick, curl, and twisted.

Norelle Conroy carried the defective gene. I cannot imagine what it was like to be told at such a young age that you would not be allowed to mate. That you would not be allowed to have a cub of your own. Not that she was not capable of getting pregnant but she was found unworthy, unclean, and unfit. As reading this story I had to wonder what kind of person her mother was to allow her daughter to go through this. As a mother she should of been willing to fight for your daughter instead of allowing your daughter to be brainwashed to the council’s ways.

Cassius was a bear shifter. I found his story interesting and the fact that he was Norelle’s future mate. He was truly perfect for her, she is just not ready to see it yet. Cassius had waited for so long to find a woman that would stir his bear within. Now here he is faced with Norelle who wants to get him to come back and meet the councils demands.

There are a few hot and steamy parts between Norelle and Cassius. Cassius will have his work cut out for him if he plans on making her his.

A great start to promising story!

Emma and Hunter are two characters that have enough dimension to let you connect with them, and thankfully everything isn't just dumped one you all at once. It's a gradual increase in emotion and information release that pulls you into their relationship. This story is paced well and flows nicely with a nice polish. The cut off place before the next section is in a good place and I'm not mad about it. I do want to read the next section though because the stuff just got kicked up a notch and I really need to see where this goes! It's a great start, I really liked it a lot.

Cliffhanger series that has me on the edge of my seat!!

Great start to a kindle unlimited short-book series. This is NOT a standalone book. When she goes to look at some antiques for a charity auction, she finds herself attracted to the billionaire. When they hit it off, a few problems arise, but things might just work out. The cliffhanger is when she shows up for her stepsister's wedding and meets the brother who is the billionaire she's attracted to. Yikes!! 4 1/2 star read only because there where a few errors that made me have to re-read some parts. Great start!!!

Soooo....I knew the book was about stepbrother dear, but was getting more and more confused when there was no stepbrother lol. Then bam it all came info play. It was an ok beginning to the series I just am not sure I'm that into it yet. I'm going to read the 2nd one and then I'll decide.

What a superb start to a three part series. The meeting is eccentric, an unusual collaboration of old treasure antiques. This is a superbly written taboo subject, with chemistry between lead characters from the start. Next instalment please!
