They delight in sticking their noses and digging their claws into the facts of the frightening matter. Hold onto your seats—there are some harrowing moments in this story, and some startling surprises.
Patricia writes two cozy mystery series. The Klepto Cat Mysteries and her newest series, The Calico Cat Mysteries featuring Olivia, a sweet and sassy calico. Patricia has been writing for publication for over 45 years, having been fortunate enough to establish a career doing what she loves. Hundreds--maybe thousands--of her articles have appeared in over 500 different publications and she has published books on a variety of topics--grandparenting, local history, youth mentoring, journaling and many aspects of publishing and book promotion. After years of writing nonfiction, in 2012, she decided to branch out and try writing fiction and the Klepto Cat Mysteries were created. The Klepto Cat Mysteries feature Rags, an ordinary cat with a most extraordinary habit--he's a kleptomaniac. Currently, Patricia is producing anywhere from six to eight books per year in both ebook format and in print. Read the Klepto Cat Mysteries and you'll laugh, you'll sit on the edge of your chair in suspense, and you'll smile at the good-feeling you're left with when you finish each book in the series. New in 2021, the Calico Cat Mysteries.
Rags and Koko are together again when young Arthur Spence comes to stay with the Michael and Savannah. The physically and emotionally scarred young man is just beginning to come with life in the open and without fear, but the constant flash of cameras and threats to both him and the Ivy household are spiraling out of control. As Michael predicted trouble has followed the you man from Frisco. A surprise in the courtroom has the place in an uproar and danger once again at the Ivy's doorstep. As Arthur recalls more and more of his sisters death and the fire where he was scarred the truth comes out and the results are shocking.
Will the pat finally be laid to rest? Who was behind the death of Karen and the fire? What of Arthur's possible romance with Suzette? How do Koko and Rags lead the police to the man trying to kill Arthur? What is the accountant hiding? What is to become of all the cats in the mansion? So many questions, but all will be answered in "PAWtners in Crime"
My rating of "PAWtners in Crime - Klepto Cat Mystery Book 10" is 4.75 out of 5 stars.
I like these books very much; however, having lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years, reading Frisco instead of San Francisco or the City is akin to my eating okra. I hate both. I do enjoy the antics of Raggs and I love how all the animals seem to get along (I have had multiple cats and never enjoyed quite the same togetherness). The books are a quick read and fun.
Horses, cats, dogs, a sweet baby, and a cast of nice people solving a mystery. What More could you ask for? I laughed out loud while looking out the window at my horses and petting my dogs and cats as I read. I felt at home!
I can't get enough of this series! I went in and bought it as soon as I found out!! This is actually a sequel to Book#9 (Mansion of Meows) so you might want to read that one first-although it can be read as a stand alone.
Arthur Spence was finally let out of his basement prison with the help of Savannah and crew. Of course if it hadn't been for Rags------Well now Arthur and Ruthie the woman who actually cared for him all those lonely years are living in Ruthies's family home. One big problem and Arthur who although almost 18 has no idea how to cope with life yet--much less the paparazzi who are following him. He and Ruthie go to stay with Savannah and Michael to hopefully be left alone. No such luck. But they are doing their best to help him learn to deal with life. But Arthur has a very troubled past with the scars (literal) to prove it. Will he manage to get his memory of that terrible time back--will the culprits get what's coming to them? Of course you know Rags and now his sidekick KoKO (Arthur's cat who is fast learning all of Rag's tricks) will have to come to the rescue at some point. And what a rescue it is!! Laughter, tears, holding your breath--expect all these emotions as the twists and turns keep coming at you! PAWtners in Crime
PAWtners in Crime is a sequel to book 9, Mansion of Meows. You could read alone but I would suggest reading book 9 first. Because book 10 follows right after book 9 and will ruin the suspense too.
I have fun reading this series. Savannah is a Veterinary with a cat named Rags who is a Klepto. He is a smart cat and solves mysteries. Usually with the things he steals. The local police believe in him too.
Arthur Spence comes to stay with Savannah & Michael. He is not used to his freedom. He is being harassed by reporters following him and taking his pictures. He is going to get his burns scars fixed. Someone is trying to kill him again.
He starts to remember some about the death of his sister Karen.
I like the characters. The animals have such a big roll in the books. Most of the characters are old familiar ones from past books.
You want Arthur to be safe and his memory come back. He is a smart 18 year old. He is definitely a poor rich kid. He has had a hard life.
The suspense is good but very narrow suspect lists.
This is a fun mystery series with all the chasing of animal characters on one hand and a sad mystery and child abuse and murder on the other side. It is a clean read too.
The setting is California.
I was given this ebook to read by the author and in return I agreed to give a honest review of PAWtners in Crime.
Partners in Crime, klepto cat #10, is the continuation of the story of Arthur Spence after his rescue and what a story it is. This one had me reading fast just as the last one, non-stop action with plenty of thrills as Savannah Ivey and the gang are burgled, threatened and shot at with a great ending. We basically know who the bad guys are from the previous book Mansion of Meows, but watching them get what they deserve made for a great read. I really like this series a lot.
A visit with Rags and friends is a delightful and relaxing read. There is mystery but it is not the main focus of the story. This one continues the of account their adventures with San Francisco. Arthur and cat, Karen aka Koko is free from his prison of seven years and is hiding out with the Iveys until the trial of his stepfather. Rags and Koko are BFF. You need to read MANSION OF MEWS first. I recommend this series.
I loved the book, as I have the entire series. It is unusual that a book keeps you on the edge of your seat, and so wrapped up in the mystery. One thing bothered me; this is the continuation of the story line begun in Mansion of Meows, but one of the somewhat pivotal characters suffered a name change between the two books...from James to Charles.
if you like lj braun's mysteries, then you'll like patricia fry's stories. a great and fun read when you don't want to get too involved -- i.e., easy to put down and pick up again, purrfect for waiting in lines, on the bus, at an airport.
