High school reunions are supposed to be joyous times of sharing memories and success...not gunfire and death...
Tate’s always been the player with a sweet heart. Payton was his “almost” love but things are different now. Tragedy strikes, leaving dozens injured and a handful dead. Now, he wants the girl who cared for him when he needed it most.
With deep-rooted resentment toward each other, twins Stella and Sophia are not on the best of terms. Stella, always inferior to her sister, is blossoming into the beautiful woman Tate sees her as now that they are together. Misunderstandings along with hidden pain and love surround Tate and Stella as they step into a serious relationship.
Will Sophia play nice and be happy for her sister?
Life can change in a second. For Tate and Stella, overcoming their past to live in the moment is easier said than done.
Texas born and raised, I found my love for dirty books rather recently. I work in real estate for my normal job and I write contemporary romance. I plan on having Sinfully be the first of three in its series. I would like to do a standalone after, but we’ll see! I love sweet tea (made right!), cookie cake, and anything with chocolate and peanut butter. I have a few guys at my gym that are my TDF’s (tall, dark, and fuckable) but also have a HSB (Hot Sauna Boy), because let’s be honest, they’re my motivation while I’m there! I go to Las Vegas often but I swear I don’t have as much fun as Payton does. Although, if I found myself a Tate there, I might change my opinion! Authors such as Katy Evans, SE Hall, Angela Graham, Jasinda Wilder, and Jillian Dodd have been a large influence on me and I’m forever grateful. I decided to write Sinfully on Black Friday in November 2013, on a whim. I thought I’d get bored after a few pages but was captivated by the characters and it developed into something I am truly proud of. When it comes to book boyfriends, I love those who are strong but with a little imperfection or tragedy in their past (Remy, Kellan, Q, Twitch are just a few of my favorites). I LOVE talking to my readers so feel free to message me on Facebook. <3
Nice wrap up to the series. again, fast paced. didn't hold my interest as much to be honest. I thought by this book the writing would be more polished. needs another? editor and such, but didn't deter too much from the story.
So excited for Tate's story , I mean who doesn't love Tate !! I have wanted more of him and for him since Sinfully and I am so glad he got his HEA. This book was heartbreaking at times , I held my breath for a few scenes and was shocked for some others. I was thrilled that we got some Payton/Ryder in this story and also enjoyed meeting Tate's friends and seeing how his life was for him in Chicago.
Tate has finally made peace with his feelings for Payton , or so he thought , sadly he pretends all the girls he screws are her !! Realizing that since he does adore her as a BFF and knows she is happy with Ryder he wants to change his ways he decides to try a different route to finding girls. Between his few best guy friends you see they kind of have their routines down for work , fun and picking up chicks. With his 10 year reunion coming up that is the last place he thinks he will find love. He is really only going to see his good friend Rachel and have a night out.
Stella is one of those book chicks you love. She may have been the overlooked twin sister and the not so rowdy friend BUT she does learn to hold her own in this story and when she does it is reason to celebrate. Her twin is evil. You don't really know how bad their relationship is right away but you just know she is selfish and nasty. Thinking about her high school days she recalls Tate , the guy she crushed on but of course he was too busy being played by her twin to notice her. Well all that's about to change but not before some serious drama unfolds.
The way the book starts you already know what happens , then we go back a couple weeks and get the lead in to the reunion. Now at the reunion you see the drama play out and it is heartbreaking and just WOW. Stella and Tate form an amazing bond during the time shortly after the reunion and it grows and blossoms into something wonderful. Of course her sister wants to destroy that and lets just say her plan may go off without a hitch but it fails in the end , still horrifying to read. Once you find out just how twisted Stella and her twins relationship is you will be shocked. Without spoiling there are a few other pieces to fit together and once they close that chapter things are good. Tate and Stella move on to start their lives together , they both have big dreams and similar goals and when it comes to each other their love is so simple and pure !!
I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.
Deceitfully shows what is important in one's life when a tragedy occurs. There is a meaning to the story to look outside the box. What we have in our life currently may just prove different than the path that life takes us. That was an important message to both the hero and heroine.
Tate lives the life of beauties. He is a personal trainer and is used to seeing gorgeous women around him. He lives for the moment and for his friends. When going back to a reunion tragedy occurs and Tate's life is changed forever. He may just find that living for a purpose brings richness to his life he never knew.
Stella has always been in the background of her twin's (Sophia) shadow. Stella has always had feelings for Tate but it was Sophia that ended up with him. Sophia is one of those devil's spawn sisters that is always looking to steal the spotlight. When Tate and Stella have an attraction, Sophia is always lurking around. You would think that as a twin sister that you would just want your sibling to be happy. My curiosity got me wondering if Sophia would ever be that kind of sister.
There is a lot of deceit in the book. My heart broke for Stella at times. The title of the book fit the plot perfectly. In fact, when I first was deciding to review this novel it was the title that captured my attention. My attention remained all through the book. I was not disappointed by the content. There is a mixture of genre's included in the book. We have romance, romance suspense, and even thriller. A variety for all type of book lovers.
I also liked how the Leighton defined the characters. You definitely knew who the hero, heroine and villains were. Readers also were able to get a chance to see the tight knit group that were loyal to each other. There were many surprises in store for the characters. For me I never could guess what was going to happen with anyone. The story was like going on your very first ride ever. It was exciting, emotional, and many characters you just fell in love with immediately.
Leighton has written this story so you can read the series out of order. I really appreciate that because I am now going back and reading the remaining stories. I really love Leighton's writing style. She has flair to her technique that makes her stand out.
I ADORE this series! I remember first meeting Tate in Sinfully and I instant fell in love with him! I was extremely happy to find out that he Was having his story told! There were so many WTF moments that I was on the edge of my seat trying to anticipate what was next and I was thrown for a loop EVERY time!! Leighton Riley take you on an intense emotional rollercoaster that will leave you yearning for more! Tragedy brings Tate and Stella together after a horrific class reunion and they find themselves thrown together and the sparks fly! Stella has always been 2nd best in the eyes of her twin Sophia and Tate yearns for.more than the playboy lifestyle he has been living trying to get over Peyton. Stella helps Tate cope with his personal Hell, in return Tate shows Stella that she is more then worthy of being worshipped and loved! Old demons and new threaten their happiness, and put doubts in Stella once again doubting her worth! Will they be able to.overcome the evils that threaten to destroy them? Definitely a must read!!

I was so happy to finally have Tate’s story and Leighton did a great job with it! Let me just say, Chapter 1 immediately sucked me in and I did not want to put it down.
Tate In high school, he was the good looking, popular football player. He is now a personal trainer, who’s ready to make a change in his home life. He’s tired of running through women and it ready to start looking for the one. The problem has been that he’s still kind of hung up on one girl, who happens to be his really good friend and is now married with a child.
Tate arrives at the reunion with all intentions of reconnecting with his high school ex, Sophia. That all changed when his eyes spot Stella.
Stella In high school, she was the shy quiet girl, who never really talked to or got to know anyone. Part of that may because she always seemed to be in the shadow of her popular twin sister, Sophia.
During the reunion, a horrible tragedy occurs that will deeply affect all involved. In the days following the tragedy, as Tate and Stella try to put their lives back together, they begin to grow close to each other and form a relationship. Unfortunately, there is someone in the background who doesn’t like this and will do anything to destroy them.
I have read all of Leighton’s books and it’s been so awesome to watch her writing grow with each book. The storyline was great. The characters were well developed and I loved the part when we found out how the tragedy occurred. I did not see that coming. I definitely recommend this one, as well as, Sinfully and Regretfully. They can all be read as standalones.
Leighton Riley you have outdone yourself with this book, it was amazing, I could not put it down.
The story line in this book is very well written and fast paced and kept me interested till the very last page and when I realized I was at the end I wanted to start it over again. The characters in this book are very well written and well developed and very easy to fall in love with. The main characters in this book are Tate, ohhhh Tate, and Stella and the chemistry between the two of them is off the charts.
This story is based around Tate and his good friends attending his high school reunion and his hopes of reconnecting with his high school love Sophia, but what Tate does not count on his falling for Sophia's twin sister Stella. In this book you will see a major tragedy occur at the reunion which shatters everyone and changes the direction of some of their lives. In this book you will see a relationship grow and then be smashed to pieces after the interference of someone's relative.
This was an amazing read and will not need to wait patiently for Leighton to write her next amazing story. As a side note there are two books that should be read before this Regretfully and Sinfully.
Tate was floating through life, girl after girl trying to replace the one that got away. His beat friend told him to stop looking so hard and maybe he would find his one. He didn't think it would come from his past, not to mention meeting her at a high school reunion. But that is how it happened he knew when he saw her that he had to be with her until it all just literally blew up in front of him. Stella had always had a crush on Tate but he dated her twin in high school. She never stood a chance until disaster brings them together. Now all she has to do is overcome her past and her sister to keep him. While reading this I was brought to tears because of all they had to endure to be together. There is no way to hide it this book has some hard topics that will pull your heart string so ladies make sure you have the box of tissue ready. I will tel you f you love the HEA well Leighton doesn't spare you with this book you will get it. And you will feel rewarded when you get to it. It is beautiful, and better yet you get the characters from her previous books in there as well. I couldn't have asked for a more round romance story than this one!
I received an ARC from the author for an honest review... The author, Leighton Riley informed me that this book was the 3rd in the Sinfully series, but it can be read as a stand alone. It is well written to be a stand alone, but I feel that the story is enhanced if Sinfully and Regretfully are read before. But this one is not disappointing. Tate has always been kind of a playboy. He had some fun in Las Vegas with his buddies and started thinking that settling down was starting to look pretty good. High school reunions can bring back a lot of memories and the "what ifs" In high school Tate had it bad for Sophia, but never noticed her twin sister Stella. An event at the reunion has Tate noticing Stella, but Sophia is still feeling it for Tate. Tate and Stella deal with deceit and lies. But can their feelings for each other develop into love? Deceitfully has many hot sex scenes but also has the scene that ties it all together. This whole series has been amazing, but I have also enjoyed that each book can be read on their own.
For serious? This book has a serious bat shit crazy braud I'm it. Legit. Good god. I mean, wow.
Don't get me wrong Tate and Stella are adorable together. But I can't get past the crazy chick. I also don't know that I would be able to get past the spa day theatrics. I don't know how I could forget something like that.
I will admit. I haven't read the other books in the series, and this is my first LR book. I've met the woman, and she's an amazing person, but this is the first time I was able to find free time and read her book. And I'm not surprised I loved it at all. My heart broke for Tate and Stella and the two separate situations they had to deal with. Especially when Leighton brought it full circle and linked them together. I liked the flow and writing style, and the plot line. LR does a good job on the way she delivers it.
The Sinfully Trilogy is a must read!!! I love books full of love and hot Alpha guys that know how to cherish the rift woman. Sinfully, Regretfully, and Deceitfully have it all and then some!
Fun characters! Storyline with lots of twist and turns to keep you where you will not want to but he book down! You will laugh, truly ugly cry, and fall in love with this book!
