When investigative reporter Sierra began looking into Joe Basnight, the governor of her state, she had no idea the truth would be so shocking.
She initially thought he might be a crook but the reality is something incredibly different.
Joe Basnight is not just the governor of her state he is also the governor of a community of Bear Shifters that reside within the state. He is known as the “Alpha” and now Sierra knows his secret there are two options.

It was okay...
It was a decent story with an interesting plot, there was just a lot happening in this story with the plot points at the beginning with Eric and toward the middle-end with Dorian. The plot points weren't connected in any way and it made the story feel disjointed to me. I would have rated it higher had Eric somehow been in league with Dorian to take over Sleuth. As it was, the plot points felt randomly added for story drama.

Wierd
I don't really know how to rate this. I wanted a 2.5 but they don't do halves so 3 stars it is. I think this book needs to be edited and reformatted. This is going to come out sounding stilted and confusing but I don't know how else to explain it. This story felt like it was being told in parts. Like they met here, she found out about him here, and she got in trouble here, however don't forget to add psychotic killer here. I felt like I was following a script with nothing added no personality well the heroine was pretty cool. I liked the fact she didn't submit to anyone. This story was endearing and had many positives that kept me involved with the story it's just a little rough around the edges.

Excitement!
This book is an action packed wild ride. This book had some sex scenes but they weren't explicit, it had great fighting scenes & had a good vs bad plot. I enjoyed this book & it was read in a day & 1/2.

Her Bear in Mind
This was truly an awesome book. The story line was great and the characters by far the most believable that I've read in some time about shifters. This is the first time I've read this author and I'll definitely be reading more of her books.

Great Book
I like that the story was pretty fast paced and it had a great ending, it didn’t linger making it boring.

I could not put this one down. Ms. Amor is a new author to me and I loved this book. If you are a Bear Shifter fan, this one is for you. If you aren't after reading it—you will be.
Sierra, persistent reporter looking for her big-break-story, thinks she has it with state Governor Joe. She knows there is more to this down to earth, gorgeous hunk, politician and she thinks she knows what. Oh, there is more to him, much more and she has no idea. Finding out puts her in danger and finding it difficult to stick to the story. She'd much rather stick to him and he feels the same.
It is non stop action with some comic relief from two females you will love. There is danger from the Bear shifter community, not every one is happy with her knowing Joe is their Alpha. Death or …
well, don't want to spoil it for you so read to find out her options.

Sierra Christie is a reporter,she is convinced the governor, Joe,is stealing campaign funds.
She follows him into the woods. She comes upon people watching two bears fight in a pit.
She's appalled. Then she finds a little girl locked in a cage, Brenda . Brenda ask her to free her because the adults are being mean to her
. Unbeknownst to Sierra, Brenda is a bear cub, lock up so she does shift. Sierra frees Brenda and, yup she shifts into a bear cub.
After Sierra comes to some slight terms of there being shifters in the world. She goes back to her life with the promise never to tell.
But that doesn't sit right with some clan members. Sierra is attacked and is dying Joe changes her to save her life.
Now while reading this I thought it's a great story. But it's still a lot of pages left, what else could possibly happen?
Well while walking in the words with joe, joe smells strange shifter on his territory. His is freightened, which frightens Sierra but he wont tell her why. Back at work Sierra is introduced to the new owner of work place. He invites her to lunch where he tells her of his plans to take over 'the sleuth" the hidden village of the Bears!
Now this is where I leave you to find out what happens next!

Wow! This book is Awesome! The characters of Joe, Sierra, and Molly interact with ease. You could invite them over for dinner. The characters of Eric and Dorrian, you want to either take them out behind the barn or to the nearest Police Station.
Sierra finds out about Joe being a Bear and the town of Sleuth, bear town. Eric, his second, doesn't agree how Joe handles it. He goes to Sierra and Molly's apartment and trashes it. He also beats Molly.
Molly is a painter, who has an art show coming up renamed "Home Invasion". Eric comes by and chases Sierra through town as a Bear. Pictures are taken of the bear and Sierra is hurt. She wrote an article for the paper about a pet bear who got loose.
This is just a brief encounter of this situation. This story is chocked full of goodness. Happy Reading

Sierra Christie is a journalist with a nose for a story and she suspects that governor Joe Basnight has something to hide and she will do almost anything to uncover it. Joe Basnight is the governor and the alpha to a clan of bears and will do anything to protect them. But when it comes to sassy Sierra she has captured his heart but is it good for the clan?
I loved the story line flow in this book. It was smooth from start to finish. The 2 main characters were great in their own interaction and they way they played off the other characters in the story was great.
This book is for any paranormal romance book reader who like action and drama with their romance.

I received an EARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. There's lots of excitement, hot loving, and lots and lots of danger. Sierra' s a strong, compassionate, and spunky character. Joe's a hot alpaca bear who always puts her first. Add in Sierra' s kooky roommate and lot's of danger and you are reading a good book in my opinion. I'm just hoping the next book is about Molly getting her bear.

Great Story
This book really has two parts. The first where the H/h meet and the second where they are in a relationship and it appears that time has passed since the first part. Both parts have obstacles that the two must over come and bad guys to defeat. I think Sierra took everything in stride, and I would have liked to see a little more drama regarding the reveal but the story seemed to flow naturally. I could not put it down.

An abrupt start
The start is rather abrupt and cliche. A reporter willing to do anything for a story. Said reporter finds out that the governor is a bear shifter and that he is protecting a town full of shifters. The romance is very well done. Joe is forced to deal with his alpha duties and his heart. A good read.

Excellent reading experience with characters that draws you into the story and plenty of drama,suspense,complications,and steamy scenes. I love paranormal romance shifter stories and this doesn't disappoint you. I'm recommending that you check it out and her other books for yourself.

Awesome
I really, really enjoyed this book. For one it had a great story filled with mystery, mayhem and intrigue not just sex. Yes it did have some really hot sex but an actually story that had me cheering for and hoping the good guys would make a comeback. Well worth the read.

Shifter standalone book
Kindle Unlimited read. It's a 3 1/2 star read for me. She's human...he's an alpha bear shifter. He wants her but pushes her away to keep her safe. When she's hurt, he's there. When she's lost, will he be able to find her?

This was a cute read, I love the sassy , independence, do anything to get her story heroine. The hero of course was all alpha, and all male. It was just a good quick, action pack read.

I was so mad she got tortured but of course Joe saved the day. I loved everything about this book, can't wait to read more from this author.

I thought this was a great book. It was written and had a great plot. It was funny, had great passion and had many plot twists that kept you guessing. Great story
