What a way to start summer… I should have never stood up to that bully Jacob. It was just a water balloon thrown to save my friend’s behind during recess. Now we’re on a bus heading home and everyone gets the same text: “$500 gift card and full immunity to the kid that brings me Aiden- Jacob.” I’m Aiden by the way, and the entire fourth grade is staring at me. Hopefully, with my friend’s help, we can get off at the next stop, three miles from my house, and make it home before the entire neighborhood finds us.

Soaked by A.J. Cosmos is a great kids story about bullying. The characters seem like real life kids, the actions and dialogue seem real too. The plot is excellent. The emotions are up and down and you can't help but feel for Aiden, the one that is the bully's victim. Great story for all ages. Great story for victims and bullies!
Here is a great story about bullying. Tightly written and full of energetic personalities, the story is a great way to deal with bullies. Recommended for 3rd grade readers and up.
A.J. has done it again! :D This time he tackles bullying in all of its ugliness with a bit of humor and a bit of tension and a lot of good story. His descriptive characters make this a great read as he shows how bullying is awful and debilitating, and how it should never be ignored. An awesome book for parents and children, and all adults who work with children.
“Soaked” is written and illustrated by A.J. Cosmo and is a whimsical children’s story that describes a set of events that starts on the last day of third grade, when Aiden Jones stands up to the bullying by Jacob Schull. Unfortunately, that doesn’t end things, and the war of wet escalates with more and more children being brought into the fray as Jacob demonstrates his power and his connections. It looks like Aiden and all of his classmates are destined to remain soaked unless they can find a way to turn the tables on the petty dictator—but can they find the courage to stand up to a bully?
This fun story delivers a needed message about the effects of bullying and the dismaying power that some can achieve by buying the results they want. I was reminded how out of touch I am with things as I read about the leverage achieved by threatening each THIRD GRADE child’s CELL PHONE! The escalating tension and dismaying non-interference by the adults encountered make it difficult to be patient until the end of the story but I daresay this is a great story to read on a hot summer’s day as it makes one want to pick up a water gun, lol. This is an entertaining light read with a great message that is enhanced by the cute illustrations.

"Soaked" written by author A.J. Cosmo is a great book about a boy named Aiden that is in the 3rd grade and must deal with a bully on a daily basis. Things escalate and is carried until the very last day of school. With the bully being the Principal's son, the resolution for Aiden makes things that much more difficult. A.J. Cosmo presents a important message that will leave every reader turning the pages to find out how this story ends. Written with a rich dialogue and descriptive characters, he also shows readers in detail how they are feeling. A delightful description of what true friendship is all about. I highly recommend this book for ages nine and up.
I won this book from Goodreads Giveaways. Soaked is a great children's book to teach and read about bullying, because it doesn't just tell what usual kid books do when it comes to that touchy topic. A.J. Cosmo makes it clear that telling an adult is necessary, however it isn't the only thing that should be done sometimes. When it comes to bullies they can act as Jacob did: he was nice and charming in front of adults. Sometimes the best way to get rid of a bully is by making a friend out of them.
I'd recommend this book to any child. It's a fun read!
Soaked is a fantastic book about bullying, consequences, and outcomes. Being a chapter book it will hold even the most reluctant reader for a chapter or two because of the content. Soaked is a book many will relate to on many levels. All kids should read Soaked, bullies, too. There are lessons to be learned, very subtly. Thanks to Goodreads First Reads and A. J. Cosmo for a copy of Soaked.
A great book for ages 9 and up talking about bulling. This author covers her grounds well with this story. Well written and a page turner for the young readers!
