The monsters are always closer to home than you think.

My fiancé was one of those monsters, but by the time I learned the truth, it was too late for me. What he didn't know was that his betrayal would send me into the arms of his fiercest enemies--brothers who would stop at nothing to bring him down.

Now a pawn in a deadly game, I became Gabriel and Syn's captive. First at a camp in the forest. Then in a beautiful, secluded mansion. One moment they were my jailors, the next, my lovers. I didn't know who to trust, how to survive.

They shared me. Made me theirs in every way. But in the end, would they, too, betray me? Because there were no good guys in this game.

And trusting the wrong ones would get me killed.

A read I want to read a thousand times over!!! Damn, this was honest to god bloody amazing work!!!

I'm not going to write a long review for this novel because everything I have to say about it can be said in a couple of words.

If you want to indulge in a novel that will take you on a dark BDSM fantasy journey then this is for you! Don't you dare look any further! Just buy it!!

Get your hands on this as soon as possible!

Just make sure to head the authors warnings written in the blurb and inside the book. She states everything clearly! She if you don't like what's involved then don't read it.

Thanking and giving the author, Ms Natasha Knight, virtual flowers and a whole bunch of hugs for providing me with an amazing review copy in exchange for an honest opinion.

This was a steamy bdsm story with three appealing main characters. It’s more erotic than romantic and the plot builds at a nice level keeping the reader captivated as their arrangement blossoms . The author handles every concept of this book with such care - the lead and background characters, the description of the BDSM lifestyle, the story development, all of it was thoroughly done. I especially loved the fact that we actually got to experience the transformation of Eva.

What I really enjoyed was the lack of competition between the two brothers, Syn and Gabriel, in claiming Eva’s total submission to their bdsm sex play. The three of them do have chemistry which continually develops, but I just couldn’t get in the romantic mood that is mostly implied and isn’t well developed.

Theirs to Take is exhilarating and definitely sexy, super kinky and sizzling hot! The author put just the right amount of steamy sex, intrigue and “villains” into the mix to make it interesting. The HEA ending was somewhat abrupt and I really wanted an epilogue. The BDSM scenes are light on intensity but give the reader the flavor and taste of BDSM without going to severe in technique issues. If you are into the world of D/s then this is a book you will love.

This book was pretty hard to rate...UFFF!!!!

description

Well because the combination between dark romance and BDSM (and not your light bondage scenarios) made it a book for certain particular tastes and I wasn't sure I was among those readers. Sure, I like M/F/M books, dark romance and BDSM (mostly the lighter stuff) but all put together was at times, I have to admit, a little to much for me.

description

In the end I decided to give this book 4 stars because besides what I've already told you once I started reading it I found myself entranced by it and hard to put it down. Sure it has a few "problems" and at times I found myself thinking...

description

But all in all if you're a fan of this type of books you're surely going to enjoy this one :D

I’m not a dark reads junky like some I know, but I occasionally like to dive into a good one, and by good I mean a total dark and twisty mind f*ck that makes you think “Why the *&%#@ Did I Like That Book!?” – yes, I am shamelessly promoting one of our newer categories but really I may as well get something out of reading this book. When I read the synopsis, I did not think I was getting into a dark read but a heroine in distress read. That is not really what this was. Beware, because my review may be slightly spoilery – well actually real spoilery, with this kind of crap, I may as well go all out.

Eva is a spoiled little rich girl with a doting senator Daddy and shit for taste in men. When she discovers her fiancee doing things he ought not to, like trafficking in kidnapped women, he decides to have her killed. Thank goodness the truck she was thrown in that had all those kidnapped women in it was ambushed by Gabriel and Syn, two brothers with an ax to grind with Eva’s fiancee.

At this point I’m thinking that the brother’s are the good guys, maybe under cover to take out the sex slave trafficking ring yada, yada yada. Ummm, close but no cigar. Unbeknownst to the women, they’ll eventually get saved, after a month or so and yes it will be horrid for them, seeing as how they are going to be raped and used as sex slaves and all, but sometimes collateral damage happens. As long as the bad guys get taken down eventually, it’s all good (unless you are one of those poor girls of course. Then it just kind of sucks for you). Yes, this is what our heroes tell themselves. Oh, and while they were at it, they got to cane the girls etc. to get the poor kidnapped girls in the right frame of mind to be auctioned off as future sexual submissive slaves. Plus, if caning these poor, traumatized soon to be sold as sex slave girls gives them hard ons, well that’s okay, a perk really. Yep, just the type of guy every girl dreams of.

Eva wakes up after being beat up, drugged and thrown into a cattle truck full of kidnapped women heading to lives full of sexual slavery. The trucks hijacked by the brothers, who give the girls the whole “we’re really doing you a favor by auctioning you off to the highest bidder so you can be sexual submissive’s instead of just sex slave prostitutes,” spiel. When Eva doesn’t take this news well and questions it, instead of explaining things they cane her with a birch branch brutally in front of everyone. Now, there is many things I can think of that might be running through her head at that point. This was not it.
“It hurts,” I said, hiding my face in his chest, tentatively reaching back to touch my sore, tender bottom. “I imagine it does,” Gabriel said, taking my hand and pulling them away. “But there are worse things than a birching, Evangeline.”

I looked up to find him studying me, and saw only concern in his eyes now. I wondered what he meant by what he said, that there were worse things than a birching. Was it a threat? Somehow, I didn’t think so. There was a tender raw pain in his eyes that called to me. I wanted to know more. I wanted to know him, this man, this giant of a man who could beat me in one breath and hold me so tenderly in the next.

Did I say this was right after she had been beaten, drugged, kidnapped and told she was going to be auctioned off as a sexual submissive slave by these brothers? Yep, the h is a total and complete moron. Trust me, it doesn’t get any better. I took one for the team and read the entire book. There are some great, dark twisty reads out there. This is not one of them. I am now going to find some rainbows and unicorns to read about.

Laurie’s Rating: .5 I’d Give It Less If I Could Star.

If you are a fan of dark books like Captive in the Dark , you'll probably enjoy this.

When Eva saw something she wasn't supposed to see, her fiance put her in a truck to become a sex slave. The truck was ambushed and she was kidnapped by two strong and sexy brothers.

Gabriel and Syn have a vendetta against Eva's fiance. They decided to keep her because she could be useful in their plan of revenge. They didn't expect Eva to get under both of their skins. I think the sex and chemistry broke my thermostat... it was insane.

My goodness... Natasha Knight can seriously write. I was pleasantly surprised at this story.

Well, that started out a little darker than I expected. Ok...a lot darker. Once I realized that, it was a great story with action, suspense, love, and BDSM. Loved both of the brothers. I can't decide which one I like more, Syn or Gabriel. Eva had a mouth and wasn't afraid to use it.

This is a well written book with a captivating story, literally. The entire story centers on the heroine who is kidnapped and ends up in the hands of two brothers. I may add…two dominate brothers who know how to pleasure a girl into mind-blowing, toe-curling, count me in orgasms. Now the romantic in me usually does not get into a story involving 3-somes. I guess I am old fashion that way. However, this book changed my thinking somewhat as I discovered my inner bad self apparently is not averse to reading about 3-somes. In fact there were several places while reading this book that my bad self was behaving like a little slut. Shame on her, shame on her multiple times…but I digress.

The story is dark, it is page-turning, there are moments of pain and there is a love story of sorts. I recommend this book to those readers wanting a dark “romance” with a HEA ending. (I also enjoyed reading a book for a change that didn’t turn into a 9 volume set!) 4-5 stars.

Theirs to take was another extremely hot Natasha Knight novel. It was delicious in that it was mfm and had a light BDSM vibe with hot chemistry. It had the same hot and sexy factor as this author's previous books but also had the added bonus of three people instead of two!

When Evangeline is kidnapped and betrayed by a loved one she finds herself taken captive by two brothers, Gabriel and Syn who have their own reasons for keeping her. But what she doesn't realize is that they save her from a sex trafficking ring but have their own dark desires they need to inflict on her. But what hapoens when not everything is as it seems and dark secrets come out?

Gah! This was another sexy one! I enjoyed their connection and can not wait for more from this author! Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula

This wasn't quite like the normal captive books I read. I had a hard time finding the reason why Eva would turn it around and like these two brothers. They were appalling to her. Three instances of humilation and whipping and Eva seems to start seeing the good in them..... nah... that isn't going happen. Eva should have kicked them both in the balls for quite how they took out their ways of 'trying to get the girls to behave.'

So I suppose what I struggled with is the connection, I just couldn't feel it or see why Eva would even remotely like these two men!

The scenario and her remembering, also did not bode well with me, I suppose this book could be called a little cliche in it's deliverance of a captivity read, to be fair there's not many that can master a good reason why a captive would suddenly find stockholm syndrome happening to them, and for me this book didn't have that reason, it was like oh well, and certain sex scenes like the one at the end, yeah in booky world it could happen that way, in reality, some prep work would be needed for sure, she'd been without for all that time and then suddenly could take it up the rear again, sorry that didn't ring true or believable for me.

But having said all that which probably makes it sound a bit negative, but for me please remember captivity books have a plethera of 1st class reads that I've read, to live up to. And I'm finding it harder and harder that they tick all the boxes.

All in all, Theirs to take is a good book, for some it will leave you questioning and for others you'll be immersed in it from the get go and not delve too deeply to question the whys, who's and wherefores ..... A good middling book of the genre that certainly is worth your time and not overlooking.

I received a copy of Theirs To Take in return for an honest review, my reviews are my own and are 100% honest.

I would probably give this 2 1/2 stars if I could just because it did depict a strong emotion in me, it just wasn't the right emotion. I didn't want to finish this book but I did because I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I have read books before where I started out really disliking the male lead and then by the end of the book loved them. That was not the case in this book! I hated both male characters! Their justification for why they were doing what they were doing was shallow and petty! They were no better than the bad guys of the books because in a way they were the bad guys. In their minds they are doing this to avenge their sister who is "innocent" but IMO she wasn't. She went down the path of drugs and alcohol and made bad choices and because of that they destroy the lives of dozens of women over and over. Even the justification that they rescue them and only "Lost 3" doesn't make up for what the real victims experience while they are captured!
The female character was the typical spoiled little rich girl but I can forgive her "love" of the heroes just because Stockholm Syndrome is a real thing and I think that is what this is.
I don't see any love in this relationship and I am all for a good BDSM erotic or dark erotic, but their "lovemaking" was just rape and abuse. Even rape victims sometimes climax during the act of rape. I have no desire to reread this book

Eva Webb senses something is amiss and fears her fiancé Arthur is cheating on her. If only. It’s much, much worse. She follows him to remote location one evening and discovers he’s involved in human trafficking, selling women into sexual slavery. When she’s discovered, Arthur drugs her, and tosses her into the back of the truck to be sold with the other women. Can it get any worse?

For Eva, yes it can. The truck is hijacked by Gabriel and Syn, two brothers also operating on the wrong side of the law. Now she’s in their clutches, and they let her know disobedience will be swiftly and harshly punished. But with cruelty, there is also tenderness, and Eva begins to see a softer side to the brothers.

This not a light, sweet romance. It’s a dark, twisted tale, an erotic thriller where the one you love may not be the one you can trust. From the very beginning it grabs the reader and doesn’t let go until the end. This is by far, author Natasha Knight’s best work—and is one of the best books I’ve read all year. The writing flows wonderfully without a single glitch, the plotting is masterful, and the character development is deep. Eva’s story is told in first person; the brother’s POV is told in third. I wasn’t sure how I would like that, but in this story it’s perfect.

If you like edgy, erotic fiction, this is MUST read.

I really liked this book! This book is a dark erotic BDSM book that you will not be able to put down due to all of the sexy scenes in it.

Eva Webb is a wealthy socialite that is the senators daughter and is engaged to Arthur. When Eva thinks that something is going on with Arthur she decides to follow him where she finds out that he is part of a sex slave ring. While watching him she gets caught and ends up being on the truck that all of the other women that are getting sold go to. This is when she meets Syn and Gabriel.

Syn and Gabriel are 2 domineering brothers that are not afraid to punish women when they get out of line and let me tell you Eva gets some punishment due to her mouth and her feisty attitude. There is something about Eva though that the brothers don't want to part with and they end up keeping her when all of the other women get sold.

This book has lots of hot steamy scenes including threesomes and different types of punishment including caning, strapping, and spanking. If you like some darkness and a lot of erotic scenes then this is the book for you.

When I saw this book on NetGalley I had to read it, not only because the menage, but the kidnap thing. I was expecting a totally different thing when I started reading it. Firstly, it's a very very dark romance, and I don't like it, I mean, I like dark romance, but I think that there's a line between that genre and the hero (or heroes) to be bad people.

Maybe some people disagree with me, but I couldn't find any romance in this book. The relationship between the characters was sick and insane, and I can't still find why the heroine didn't resist more than she did.

This book works if you like the dark dark romance genre, but if you're looking for a light dark romance book, don't choose this.

received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
The book was a quick read.
I liked Eva, she was a strong character and always stood firm with what she believed even if it wasn't always in her best interest.
The brothers had that dark and dangerous vibe about them, they never made any excuses for who they were or what they wanted and that was Eva.
a few issues for me though, I felt the ended was a little rushed. the book is multiple POV so it would have been nice to see what the brothers had been up to in the last year of the book. Also a peeve for me was the use of the word "bottom hole" for me personally I didn't think it fit with the theme or the language of the book.
other than the two issues I had I enjoyed the book.

Anytime you have a trio you know there’s going to be a lot of hot and steamy sex and Theirs to Take does not disappoint! However; not only does it have the heat but there’s actually a great an interesting storyline to boot! With action and a little mystery…Not bad!!

I don’t like saying too much because I don’t want to give the story away I just want to say Gabriel and Sin are the two anti-hero’s in this one and they are definitely all male, all alpha, and yes there’s some spanking, and birching I think they called it. So if you’re not into the dominance thing this one may not be for you.

Evangeline is the Senators daughter who winds up in the wrong place at the wrong time and gets double crossed by someone she loved and trusted causing her world to be turned upside down, and placing her into a world she knows nothing about, human trafficking!!!! The question is will her two beaus be able to save her in time??!! Or will she be convinced that she can’t trust no one? This is a good one! Couldn’t put it down….

Narration was great! Would read again!

This is one of my least favorite books from Natasha Knight. Even though I liked Gabriel and Syn, their actions made it hard for me to love them! Their attraction to Eva can’t be denied but their actions are questionable. Eva finds herself part of a human traffic cargo, her fiancé put her in. Gabriel and Syn ambushed the cargo and took the women in a secondary location. They have their reasons for doing this and even though they say that they don’t really like it, some of their actions gave me a different idea. After seeing Eva, they sense that she’s different from the other women and decides to keep her.

Eva Webb found more trouble than she could imagine when she followed her fiancé but for Gabriel and Syn Rivera finding Eva on board the truck they hijacked was an unexpected bonus in this riveting erotic romantic suspense.

For Gabriel and Syn having Eva is the key to bringing down an entire organization making her the pawn in a deadly game and the reader can’t help but get drawn into all the passion and intrigue as Eva will have to decide who to trust in a world where criminals often where two faces and putting your trust in the wrong person can get you killed. The chemistry flows with intense heat from every page and the sex scenes will burn you alive with some forceful BDSM scenes, ménage scenes and an extremely difficult situation that causes Eva lots of emotional turmoil that grips the heart. These strong compelling characters grab the reader’s attention right from the very beginning and the steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense and passion.

Expectation builds lots of spine tingling tension throughout the story as the situation Eva finds herself in continuously plays havoc with her emotions and desires while Gabriel and Syn play a deadly game all in the name of revenge. The scenes and details are well written and bring the story to life making it easy for the reader to become absorbed in the story while the intriguing events refuse to let the reader put the book down.

I have to say that this is probably one of the most intense and passionate romantic suspense books that I have read and I have to warn you to pay attention to the publishers warning because some of the erotic scenes may offend and the situation may be too touchy for some.

This book is definitely not for everyone. With that said, I thought Knight did a great job in creating an actual story around the erotica and I'm going to keep this short and sweet.

Eva is thrown into this situation where the man she is supposed to marry throws her away. He (obviously) is involved in some pretty shady stuff and has a few enemies. At the top of that list are Gabriel and Syn Rivera.

I would not categorize these guys as heroes and although they "saved" Eva from one horrible situation, they only gave her a less horrible (I think??) option. Yes, they had reasons for doing the things they did but I can't say that I was fully on board with that reasoning.

As Eva realizes she is stuck in a no win situation, she begins to realize she is developing feelings for the brothers. Yes...both of them. As the brothers work to bring down her ex-fiance, they also begin to care about Eva and things change for all of them.

If you are looking for something dark, consider this book but definitely be aware of the author note as this is not a swoony romance if that is what you are looking for as this story includes some sensitive subjects.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the review copy.

This is one of Natasha's darker romances. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have really like reading Natasha's darker side and characters.

Eva Webb follows her husband expecting to catching him bedding another woman. Instead she is captured, put in a truck, and hauled off to the highest bidder. Little does she know the truck is hijacked by mercenary brothers Syn and Gabriel.

Eva quickly learns that she must surrender control in order to survive the brother's dark game of cat and mouse. Can she survive and return home or will she surrender to the men?

I am a huge fan of Knight and always look forward to a new release. I have noticed that her work is leaning more towards suspense in recent releases and I am enjoying that edge that she provides. Gabriel and Syn made for a wonderful story and Knight did a wonderful job at showing who was the alpha of the two. I cannot wait to read more from Night.

Eva Webbs, daughter of a senator and fiance to a powerful man.. finds herself captured by two ruthless brothers along with 12 other women.
Eva just thought her fiance Arthur was cheating on her, following him one night to catch him in the act. Little did she know she would get more than she bargained for.
Now she is scared and confused... and at the mercy of the two men.

This is the second book I have read by Natasha Knight. She brings a dark, twisted, taboo style erotica to life through BDSM.

I have mixed emotions about this one. I knew it was a dark read going into the book, but I felt it was lacking more. I never truly felt the overall emotional connection between the three, so the ending was just blah to me.
It does begin strong and yes this was a page turner, but once it got to the big dramatic scene, the book just went flat. Predictable.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is one of those books which is dark, skirts perilously over the edge of what should be acceptable, but still engages the reader with the lead characters so strongly that it is impossible to stop reading. It is very clever in that the direction which it makes obvious, it then sets up tiny signposts of hope. It is also full of extremely intense moments, which sweep away preconceived notions of acceptable, and heat up the room more effectively than a furnace. Clever, arousing and interesting ... a good read.

The beginning is pretty brutal. I thought I was going to have to pass on this one, but as the pages turned my perspective started to change. My heart broke with Eva's as she was taken away from everything she knew by the person who was supposed to love her forever. Her situation goes from bad to worse.

Syn and Gabriel are brothers on a personal mission to end drug trafficking and human trafficking. They have a rather unique way of doing it but, for them, it gets results. They weren't looking for Evangeline, she was a bonus they weren't expecting. Both are willing to take the risk to keep her, but will she stay and do as she's told.

Again, not too shabby. Ive said that alot in recent reviews, which is not a bad thing. It was a good, quick read with a dark undertone to it, being a slave-capture kinda story but I would still class this as on the 'lighter'side of dark romances.

Plenty of hotness.....it certainly got my blood pumping. The ending was too rushed though, with a big jump in time and a sudden HEA, left it feeling alittle cheesy and far fetched.

A high 3 star rating from me

DMC'ers: Pick this one up. Not your momma's tame BDSM shit here man. This is some messed up stuff going on. It's not overly harsh - in fact it's more practical. Not a word I use to describe this type of novel but that's how it felt. Multilayered characters - great sex with domination and maybe some Stockholm - or is it? This one drew me in and mesmerized me. Nothing was what it seems - the theme of the novel.
