Puvun pois ottaminen on lailla kielletty.

I read this two months ago and it's a 48 page childrens book and I cannot stop thinking about it. The real tragedy is that this doesn't exist as a longer book because I would eat that up.

Love this from my notes I made at the time: Would love to turn my brain off but I ship Cal and Jacob you guys. Really need to not be running an edit in my head every time they interact in this 48 page book

This book that is relevant (and scarily accurate!) in today’s social-distancing world. The book explores themes of isolation, sibling relationships, sadness, hope, communication and friendship.

This is dyslexia friendly and uses black and white illustrations to portray not only the children’s actions, but their facial expressions, which aides understanding of the seriousness of the situation.

This is a very short read at only 48 pages but it was very interesting. I’d have happily read a full novel based on this premise.
The book itself, despite originally being written in 1997 and rereleased under a different name in 2015, feels very relevant particularly after living through COVID times. I hope it’s not a sign of things to come but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Not bad, but I think the future will be like this! And I just read it because I didn’t want to lose my score.
