June 19, 2026Adicionei Chasing Hope à minha lista não apenas pela premissa de brother's best friend e hockey romance, mas principalmente porque a autora construiu uma relação de confiança muito forte comigo ao longo dessa série. Até agora, gostei de todos os livros que li nesse universo e considero que ela consegue encontrar um equilíbrio raro entre entretenimento e profundidade emocional.
O que mais me chama atenção nos livros dela é a forma como os personagens lidam com traumas, perdas e conflitos reais sem que a narrativa se torne excessivamente pesada. Ao mesmo tempo, ela não simplifica os problemas nem resolve tudo com um final mágico onde, de repente, tudo fica perfeito. As conclusões costumam ser satisfatórias e esperançosas, mas ainda mantêm uma sensação de realismo que faz com que as histórias permaneçam comigo muito tempo depois da leitura.
O primeiro livro da série recebeu cinco estrelas de mim, enquanto o segundo ficou muito próximo disso. Mesmo assim, ambos continuam ocupando espaço na minha memória, o que considero um dos maiores sinais de que uma história realmente funcionou. Por isso, independentemente da premissa específica deste livro, eu já sei que quero lê-lo.
Também estou curiosa para descobrir qual será o foco desta nova história e como ela se conectará aos personagens que já conhecemos. Até o momento, ainda existem poucas informações sobre a trama, mas confio o suficiente na autora e no universo que ela criou para considerar esta uma das minhas leituras mais aguardadas. É um daqueles raros casos em que pretendo ler o livro no próprio dia do lançamento.

This book has just become my favourite of the series and all time. Make sure you check the trigger warnings as this book covers some heavy topics.
I was fortunate enough to read this book early, let me just say personally I think this is Mad's best book yet.
I related so much with Evie, it and emotional read ( I was bawling my eyes reading this book). I also related alot with Matteo's childhood aswell. I dont want to spoil this book too much for people who haven't read it yet.
But let's just say I will recommend this book over and over again until the day I die. The whole series definitely will be on my re-read list. I love the characters, the world, everything about these series. You cant tell me that there is any hockey romance series that is better than this masterpiece.

This whole series has my heart and let’s just say this books took me over the edge even more with this series, I didn’t know I could fall in love with a series even more then I already was but this book topped it off, this book was everything and then some 💕
