This book is action packet and keeps you on the edge of your seat! The Super Agent Dylan is nothing short of Super Hot in this book. It is a must read if it is not on your list already! It only took me 5 hours to read this book because I just couldn't put it down! Ladies you need to read this :) P.S. my husband likes these books too but for totally different reasons ;)
One thing Joni Hahn does well is write a wonderful story. Agent N6: Dylan is book 6 in her D.I.R.E Series and it fulfills the promise of it's predecessors.
The D.I.R.E Series began as a three book trilogy but it has taken on a life of it's own. And what a wonderful life.. It's part fantasy, part sci-fi and ALL action. The characters have dreams that contradict what they know is right. They have moral dilemmas and they have to accept that sometimes one has to take a leap of faith. In their case, those leaps can extend to the paste..
Obviously by the name, this is Dylan's story. Dylan is a bit insecure and seriously doesn't believe he deserves a chance but the powers that be at D.I.R.E disagree.. Dylan is a bit different from the rest if D.I.R.E since he once was forced to work for Cyrus and now that he's free. He has one goal, to take him down or die trying. Seeing his chance with Cyrus' sexy New scientist, Dylan kidnaps her, sure she's as evil as the man she works for. But the more he gets to know her, the more he wants to be wrong.
Geneticist, Teagan Hamilton wants nothing more than a healthy baby, trapped with a genetic disease she know if she can't figure out how to alter the DNA sequence, any child she has will be doomed to her half life. Accepting a job with Cyrus means she has access to state of the art labs and a chance. What she doesn't realize us that she just may have sold her soul to the devil.
Getting kidnapped and landing in the muddle of the D.I.R.E. compound turns out to be the best thing that could possibly happen to her. Discovering that monsters really do exist and her boss is one of them was a hard pill to swallow. But falling in love with her kidnapper screams Stockholm Syndrome. It takes a trip to the past to help Reagan really adjust her priorities... but can she live with her choices?
I just loved this story. It's fun, sexy and Dunbar. 's. Hahn never looses to focus on the fact that while there are many sci-fi aspects to her books, in the end it's all about the people.
Totally another hit!

This review is based on the ARC of Agent N6: Dylan, provided by the author for an honest review.
What a way to reach deep into someone’s heart with a women who wants a family so much but wants to correct her issues to make sure the child will leave a long happy life. The clock is ticking in many ways. What an exciting read almost from the first page you have bullets flying leaving Teague not knowing who to trust. Dylan we meet in the last book his story is a sad one. Being kidnap by a mad man who put a kill switch inside him knowing at anytime this could be his last second on earth. He has his own set of enhancement he can’t wait to use on the man who turned his world upside down.
I thought Fred Filbrich did a wonderful job of narration. The only issue I found was I could hear him swallow. I thought he brought the characters to life giving them wonderful voices with lots of action. His tones where right on the money you were never left guessing as to how the character was feeling. You could hear the pain, smiles and excitement with each one. I heard no background noise and I could not tell if he ever took a break. The volume stayed the same throughout the audio what you hear is a very clean and clear audio. It was even flow throughout the whole narration. His normal voice is very pleasant and very easy to listen to. It was easy to tell if the character was male or female as he changed back and forward, I had no trouble knowing who was talking and what they were feeling. I really enjoyed his narration and do look forward to listening to him some more.
Dylan knows Teague is hiding something he doesn’t know what but he knows it has something to do with her health. He is still working out why she would help their enemy. As he works on her secret he also works on getting revenge. When Teague’s friend comes up missing it only leaves her with one choice putting them at bigger odds against each other. Is Teague a plant to see what she can find or she on the up and up and just what she is hiding.
This was a very fast pace book with lots of action. The chemistry between these who is hot as they work around the other trying to find answers. Dylan doesn’t know how much longer he has to live so he isn’t looking for a woman to love. Teague would love a family but is settling for a child if she can get her issues worked out. Tempters get hot, romance gets even hotter as these two go head to head. I really enjoyed this from the plot to the characters it was exciting, touch and go a few times and thrilling.
I have to admit that this is the first book in this series and also by this author that I have read. Having said that, even though I was a little lost at times in the beginning I soon caught up with the whole premise behind the series and in the story of Dylan and Teague as well. I wasn’t sure what to expect thinking perhaps it was a little to Sci- Fi for my taste but I soon realized that I was involved in the story along with the lives of the characters.
Ms. Hahn wrote a gentle romance between two people that weren’t sure that they were entitled to that HEA. With the spark of chemistry noticed from the start it actually took a while to sink into the characters that it was something other than work related issues pulling them together. I enjoyed that while both characters had a lot of the same characteristics they just seemed to meld together and complement each other where they were flawed. The flaws helped in adding to the realistic feel.
When Dylan and Teague went head to head on issues, she was able to stand her ground with him. I like this in characters. I also liked the simple banter or as some would say foreplay between the two because they at times didn’t realize what they were doing. There was a nice camaraderie between them before they took it to the next step.
I really enjoyed this book. I am going to go and read the other ones not that they are really needed but because these are action packed. I feel that as a whole, things will make more sense to me. As the characters tend to interact with each other and I want to learn about the others. However they work well on their own.
This is a fast paced book so grab what you need before settling in for I am sure you won’t want to put this story down.
I think the book can be read more or less without reading the rest but since it is a paranormal series, when they talk about things that happened in the other books, it was quite hard to believe for me. Moreover with the time travels, the numerous characters and their relationships, it is hard to follow.
But overall, it is a fast-paced, light and pleasant reading. Even if it isn't really one of the genres I usually read.
Pre-DIRE agent Dylan McCall and Dr. Teague Hamilton meet under dubious circumstances - during an attack at Teague's job on her first day. He's trying to destroy information on a top secret experiment and she's trying to save it. Dylan's hatred of Teague's boss spills onto her, giving them a bone of contention straight away.
Dylan's arrogance and Teague's underlying motive kept them each from being likable characters for this reader's taste and I wasn't very curious about their journey. However, the thread with Luke and Cyrus felt self-serving to underscore the character's character. Also this installment was more playful than its predecessors.
There's good in this series. The science fiction/fantasy piece is a kick as it highlights the 'super-powers' of the agents and the chemistry, pacing, idea, structure and sense of family also work well for this reader's taste.
There's less good in the series as well. Each lead male seems destined to be more crass than the one before. Time travel is l more deux ex machina or gimmick and trotted out for each outing. The leads invariably find themselves related to someone involved in the project and someone associated with D.I.R.E. Too coincidental. Rating: 3stars
I enjoyed seeing Dylan again and meeting Teague. What I like about Hahn, and this series, is that she is not afraid to write about beautiful people with special skills--however the agents and their women are flawed. Teague struggles with MS while Dylan struggles with self doubt and has ADD. Both are strong willed and succeed against the odds of their success. With the help of his fellow D.I.R.E. agents and Mitchell, Dylan is able to reach his goal of excellence he when receives his enhancements although he is still niggled by self doubt. Human and realistic. The banter between Teague and Dylan is pretty enjoyable.
Dylan kidnaps Teague from D.I.R.E. enemy compound. Teague has just taken a job for a man who can use and fund her genetic research. She knows nothing of the man or his company or what she is expected to do for him, but she has her own agenda. Once in the D.I.R.E. compound, she is held under suspicion. Dylan does not trust her, but he sure does want her. Teague realizes she is safe where she is, but she can not follow through with her personal agenda if she stays there, so she must leave. She underestimates her employers need for her and also Dylan's love for her.
I like this story because the main characters aren't perfect. They have flaws ( Dylan has ADD and Teague has MS) but they push on. The books can be read separately, but it's best to start with the first book in the series (and see how the stories and characters intertwine with each other). The stories have the right amount of sizzle, action and sci fi.
Love this book. Have been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint. Great action kept me on the edge of my seat. The romance was sweet and timeless. I couldn't put it down, loved this story! Can't wait until the next book. Joni Hahn you have a real winner here!
Dylan and Teague are great. I love the characters, they seem to need something the other one has. The on going storyline is fun, sexy and exciting. I'm looking forward to the next adventure with D.I.R.E.
Like all of the D.I.R.E. Agent books, this one is amazing. It kept me wanting more and I couldn't put it down. The only bad part, I wasn't ready for it to end. A must read.
i love the action in joni hahn stories. i wonder how she comes up with these intrigues. They are getting more complexe book after book. i cannoy wait to read the next one!
