The French Bulldog Handbook is an excellent manual whether you are thinking of getting a Frenchie, have one already, or just daydream about getting one.

This is the kind of book I wish I'd read before getting my Frenchie, so I would highly recommend anyone looking for a pup or a rescue Frenchie, to read this first! It covers absolutely everything, including the brachycephalic problems, diet, allergies and more. There's a comprehensive guide to the history and development of the breed which is really interesting.

This book is very supportive of rescue and adoption, and is easy to read.

A great book taking a look at everything French Bulldog. I'd give it five stars but I heavily question the use of some photographs in this book. I don't particularly care to see a stock image of a puppy with a gun to its head in the section talking about rescue dogs. And some photos are clearly ripped off of the internet and published in blurry low res. There is also a mixture of clip art and comics that seem wildly out of place here as well.
The writing in this book is fine, its says exactly what it is, and it is a good handbook, but the photos frequently used leave something to be desired.

Solid advice and great info! Yes, much of it is repetitive IF you have already done your research and there is a big chunk on history of the breed but if that isn't your thing you can just skip that part.

New Frenchie Owner

I needed lots of information as a new owner. This book covered a lot. It helps you make a wise decision since these dogs are high maintenance.
