MMG #0

Right Side Up

Rate this book
Life goes on after tragedy…or does it?

After wreaking havoc in their lives, Dooley Shane is finally dead. However, it seems he’s left his mark on the MMG.

While Dillon and Isabella were falling in love in One More Time, the rest of the gang was picking up the pieces. Nothing is ever as it seems….Sometimes, it’s so much more.

Max McLellan’s life is spinning out of control. After watching his wife and child almost die, he’s plagued by doubts and insecurities. Does he want this life he’s fought so hard for?

Piper O’Connell is a survivor. After coming close to losing everything, all she wants is her happily ever after. Her fiancé, however, is not making this easy for her. His overprotective nature is about to tip her over the edge.

Kurt Greenfield has seen his fair share of psychotic women over the past few years, but he has never experienced it first-hand. That is, until now. Will he fall victim like Max and Dillon, or will he be the first to walk away unscathed?

Ellie McLellan is afraid. Since the kidnapping and premature birth of her son, something has changed in her marriage. Her once demonstratively loving husband has disappeared and in his place is a complete stranger.

Gage Blackwell is a man obsessed with protecting his woman. He failed her once, but never again. He is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Does this include letting her go?

Joss Greenfield is living the life she’s always dreamed of, happily married with a baby on the way. Will she have the strength to persevere when in the blink of an eye, both are jeopardized?

Sometimes life turns you upside down…The question is, can love flip you right side up?

*Warning* This book is intended for mature audiences only due to sexual content. Those characters I mentioned up above, they are having sex. Lots of it. Consider yourself warned. Right Side Up is a companion novella to the MMG series, it is not a standalone. Everything you need to know about these characters and the events that have led up to this novella has been written about, in detail, within the first three books of the series. To avoid any confusion, it is advised you start at the beginning.

FIVE 'WE'RE FINALLY RIGHT SIDE UP' STARS!

I am a huge fan of RB Hilliard's and her MMG series. She is an incredibly talented author, and she has an amazing ability to tell a story. This series has been so fantastic, and I've loved each and every white knuckled, steamy, sexy, angsty second of it!!

This novella was the absolute PERFECT cap to the first three books in the series. Oh, I was nervous going in to it, believe me. I mean these couples had been through so much! Why, why, why was RB messing with them - and me! - again. But as the saying goes, 'what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger' and RB drove that point home with resounding success in this novella.

As always her books are well written, well edited and well developed. The characters are funny, sexy and likable and the plots are interesting, exciting and deliciously steamy. This novella is all of that and delivers a layer of added dimension to her couples' stories while setting the stage for the next book. I can't wait for Cas and Sarah's story; bring it on, RB!!

Will they land right side up?

I was excited and anxious about this novella... I feel like I know these characters and personally witnessed their struggles. From the teasers I knew RB wasn't going to let them magically be alright after everything they've been through. While I would love to think that is possible I know life doesn't work that way. So get ready to lay your emotions on the line once again as you find out how they are doing and if they are strong enough to overcome everything or if it will destroy all they have built! Can they land right side up?

What a great way to wrap up a series! I love RB Hilliard's writing style. She draws you in and doesn't let go. This series was incredible and this novella was a wonderful way for readers to get answers to those
little questions we had throughout the series. I can't wait for RB's next book. Great book... Wonderful author!!

I love when a author gives you a full detailed epilogue. This book showed details of the couple's after the books it focused on the first 3 couples. This series is a must read!

The MMG series was already three books deep before Right Side Up released and is not intended for anyone who hasn't already read those books. This novella is a behind-the-scenes look at three couples, written from alternating POV's of all six people who are enduring the fallout from the previous two books. This series is extremely character driven as most of them were introduced in the first book, His End Game and although each book focuses on a new couple, these characters are all present, all the time. The women are best of friends and the men are interconnected through their different businesses. The MMG gang is one big happy, and at times dysfunctional, family that are all affected by the suspenseful plot that has been interwoven throughout the series. We've seen these characters get their HEA in each of their respective books but life isn't 'happily ever after' all the time.

His End Game and Not Letting Go were written entirely from the heroines POV so this is the first time we get the opportunity to see past events from Max and Gage's perspective. While these experiences have sent Gage into uber overprotective mode where Piper is concerned, it continues to play out like a horror movie in Max's head, making him physically ill and pushing Ellie further away. As Gage and Max continue to struggle, their actions are seriously impacting their relationships and pushing their significant others to the point of no return. Although Kurt and Joss have not been the focus of their own book, they have been there since the beginning, best friends to both Max and Ellie. They're the stable, happily married couple, right? We've had snippets along the way but it was nice to gain a bit more perspective on these two characters who are just as central to the storylines as everyone else.

One of the reasons I love this series so much is the characters themselves. The men are alpha, love their women fiercely and would move heaven and earth to keep them happy and safe. Yet nothing pisses them off more than their women. One of my favourite aspects of this novella was finally getting into the heads of Max and Gage. R.B. Hilliard writes some fantastic heroes and to finally hear their voices, it added a level to this series I had been missing. While the men are overly protective and try to dominate, the ladies are fun-loving, strong-willed and incredibly supportive of each other. They have mastered the art of innocently side-stepping the stipulations their men set to keep them out of trouble while plotting their own fun. The camaraderie amongst all the MMG characters keeps me coming back for more and I'm happy that there's no end in sight.

Fans of the MMG series will enjoy this never before seen insight into the characters they've come to love while the build up continues towards Cas and Sarah's story. Right Side Up provides a front row seat to the underbelly of their relationships where tense situations have been alluded to in the past but never explained. The flipside isn't always pretty, but that's life.

RB nailed it! Must read series but I am warning you that you will be come addicted to this series!

So this is what each couple goes through after the kidnapping of Ellison and Piper the men in their lives handle it differently and sometimes makes you mad and sometimes breaks your heart. I have always loved max and Ellison story but my heart broke for her and made me want to kick his buns . Gauge and Piper story was to the point he tried to control everything and was over protective but piper is feisty and yup set Gage straight .Kurt and Joss had a scare and I was so happy in the end with them. Dillon and Isabelle finally found each other again . You really need to read the series to get a better grasp of each character and let me tell you that you will fall in love with them all. I can't wait to see what happens next:)

Wow another outstanding book to add to the MMG Series, RB knows how to take these characters deeper. I loved how we got the past and present and how easy one got to where they were.
There's nothing like reading about people in depth and finding out what the future tells and to go through each fighting there own demons it's intriguing to follow and I love them all for it. I was excited to read this book after the others and they just flow so easy I'm captured in there webs and love how each one is built. So emotional, captivating and gripping I found this series so far fantastically outstanding and written to the core with passion and strength. I highly recommend these and I never give anything away with my reviews so you have to read them for more So enjoy this adventure:D and look forward to a future journey with RB.

I received an ARC of this novella from the author. I started it when I got home from work in the evening and did not stop until the end. This novella tells you a little about multiple couples from books 1-3 of RB Hilliard's MMG series. It is told from alternating POV's and tells you how one incident affected each couple in a unique way, but all with a somewhat similar outcome. The man that almost succeeded in ruining their lives is dead but not forgotten. Each couple must get past this before it is too late. This novella had be laughing, crying, nervous, happy and relieved. RB pulls all of their stories together to allow you some closure. So now I anxiously await the next installment and the intriguing mystery of Sarah and Cas!!! Thanks RB for another wonderful story!!!

this is a Novella and the 4th book of the (MMG SERIES) RB Hillard is truely and admazing auther. Her style of writting is one of the best of many books i have read...this book is about Piper and Gage.Max and Gage finally face there demons. Max more than anyone else. He goes through a demon I've never seen or heard of before, and it's heart wrenching. Gage, that possessive alpha male. He can't let Piper out of his sight for a minute. It takes a strong woman like Piper to make Gage come to terms. give this admazing series a try.

I loved all the MMG series books by RB Hilliard, she tells great stories, with just enough mystery, sass, and laughs. This is the novella that gives you all the POV's from the previous 3 MMG books, all the behind the scene questions are answered perfectly. If you have read those books you NEED to read this one. GREAT JOB RB HILLIARD

This book gives you more of a look at the couples in the first books in this series from everyone's POV. It got a little confusing at time with so many POV going over the same time lines but it was a nice read. It sets you up for the next book in the series. Rated very good

I enjoyed these short stories, mostly from the males' point of view, but I just don't think the book was necessary. It hashed over some things that had already been covered, only mostly from the POV of the men and some of the thoughts of the women as the men fought through the difficulties that come with the trauma they went through. I believe these little "shorts" could have been tagged on the ends of the individual books or perhaps onto the ends of each of the already-written volumes as a preview, post view, or insight (in the case of Cas's thoughts). I'm not saying the scenes weren't interesting and didn't give us information that was good to know. I'm just not sure they needed their own book. And, to be honest, I found the way it jumped around between characters a bit confusing.

Perhaps it's just me, and others will gain something from it. It's just my opinion.

I read this novella through Kindle Unlimited. Its a short novella, 138 pages that show the guys side to all the trauma everyone went through when Piper, Ellie and Reyn were kidnapped. It falls between books 3 and 4. How Gage was over protective, how Max was afraid to touch Ellie without seeing what had happened. We got to see what Joss and Kurt were going through in the first trimester of her pregnancy. It ended back and Piper and Gage's wedding. The timing of things seemed off and made things a little confusing but if you don't read this you haven't missed anything. Next book is Sarah and Cas.

RIGHT SIDE UP
by RB Hilliard

This book is the catch up after Dillion and Ibbys book. It takes up pretty much towards the end of their story and gives you a look at what each couple was going through. You get a peek at each couple, where they are going, a bit of where they have been and how each felt during the ups and downs during this traumatic time in life. You see the dynamic they have together as a close group of friends, as each couple and as each person individually. It was a really cool way to do a great epilogue.

Time out while Gage and Piper get married.

While Right Side Up was marked as MMG #0, the author recommended it be read after the first three books and it slotted in their perfectly. It's a short little story about Gage & Piper's wedding and also sets the stage for book #4 about Casey & Sally.

Adored this book. This is a short novella that follows Max and the gang. Each chapter tells certain points of the character’s view point. It was a great book in that it totally explains why the characters (mostly men) are behaving the way they are and the depths that the women go to get their guys “back” from the mental anguish that they have themselves trapped into.

NOTHING NEW

Although slightly different, these stories were just a repeat of what we've already read, albeit different POV's. I hate to feel cheated but repeat stories are not what I want to pay for.

This was a super sweet little novella that follows Max, Ellie, Gage, Piper, Joss, and Kurt. I loved getting to catch up with the couples and help them through some marital problems. And it builds up to the next book I'm going to jump into!

Even though I haven’t read this series I still really enjoyed this book and didn’t have a problem following along. If anything, reading this made me want to read this series even more especially Cas and Sarah’s story. Now if you hate spoilers than definitely don’t read this one till you read the others but of your like me and don’t really care than have at it.

Happy Reading 🖤
