With a storyline similar to Turkey Trouble, this is the sweet story of a turkey living on a fantasy barnyard. Turkey's stressing out as Thanksgiving approaches. He attempts to disguise himself as other animals on the farm, but none of the costumes work out quite well. The other animals decide to help out their friend, and the ending is wonderfully kind and charming. The final page had me cheering!
Another great book that emphasizes that Thanksgiving is about love and togetherness, not about cramming your face with turkey.
Great for teaching team work, and maybe used for the older students to teach about different customs of Thanksgiving, or the differences between the meal at the first Thanksgiving and what we do now-a-days.
