The Vampire's Pet Part Two

Rate this book
Two weeks before the start of her senior year of high school, eighteen-year old Calla Franklin is vacationing at her family's beachfront cottage. While her parents are away on a trip, Calla is drawn into a mysterious world that exists just under the surface and into the arms of a young man with powers she can’t escape and attractions she can’t resist. Out of the storm clouds materializes Kier MacLaughlan who asks for refuge in her family’s guesthouse to escape his enemies. Unable to refuse his request, Calla provides him shelter, keeping his presence secret from even her best friend, who comes to Calla’s beachfront cottage for the last two weeks of summer holidays. While he insists that he means her no harm, Kier's presence puts Calla into mortal danger. To protect her from his enemies, Kier takes Calla to The City, where magic and danger exists just under the surface of the familiar world inhabited by normal mortals. Kier's is a world ruled by the undead who live at night, a place where debts are paid in blood and where Kier is the heir of a ruling family of vampires, whose dynasty goes back thousands of years. To survive in this world where blood is the source of all power, Calla must become his ‘pet’ – a human servant who provides him with a fresh supply of life-extending blood. There are only two ways out of this world – through death or being turned into a vampire. Few have escaped The City once they have entered. Calla hopes to be one of the few who succeeds but as she grows closer to Kier, will she want to? The Vampire's Pet is a serial story intended for 18+ due to strong language and explicit content. In Part Two, Calla learns more about the mysterious young man from the clouds and the two grow closer.

Dang

I was really into these 2 books. However it ended terribly, and there was no indication, of more books coming to correct this horrible let down. I don't know how an Author can just leave readers hanging like this. If I have missed something I am sorry, however it doesn't seem like I have.

From the dedicated given to this book, it must have been hard to write it. I've been waiting for what seems like forever for part two to come out. Calla seems to become more involved with Keir and seems to be falling for him as he is for her, but he wants to keep that danger out of her life. He's looking for his brother so they come across two companies they leave a message at one.... later that evening he was captured along with the girls.

I hope you don't make us wait too much longer for part three... totally loved the series

I'm enjoying the story but it's too short. Calle learns more about Kier, his history and his family. He's running or hiding from someone but he doesn't know from who

Is there a book three?? The end of this book leaves u completely hanging

Awesome!

The story is full of mystery that gets you guessing of what is going to happen next but I wish that the entire story is in one book with no cliffhangers.

Not a book. An essay at the most, very short.

Good for what there was of it. I could think of this as an abstract for a story with potential.
