A storyteller from the time she could talk, USA Today bestselling author Ellis Leigh grew up among family legends of hauntings, psychics, and love spanning decades. Those stories didn’t always have the happiest of endings, so they inspired her to write about real life, real love, and the difficulties therein. From farmers to werewolves, store clerks to witches—if there’s love to be found, she’ll write about it. Ellis lives in the Chicago area with her husband, daughters, and a German Shepherd that refuses to leave her side.
I haven't read the other Feral Breed stories yet, I skipped those shorts on the other couples. I liked this little slice of life look into how Gates and Princess have been adjusting. There's not much to it since it's not a full story, but a nice sneak peek after they've been together a month since their own story concluded. All I can say is I wish there was more to it.
This is a short compilation of Feral Breed stories featuring Rebel and Charlotte, Phoenix and Zuri and Gates and Katja. All three couples we’ve already met, they got their own individual stories and each one of them was fabulous!!
This collection gives us another glance at crucial moments in their lives together, and it’s really great to get a bit more. I especially loved the last little story, an addition to Phoenix and Zuri’s story.
I’m pretty sure I read at least 3 of the 5 stories before, only I can’t, for the life of me, figure out what they were part of. *shrugs* I don’t mind rereading gorgeous bits, though, so…
I won’t say much, only that you have to read the previous books in the series in order to enjoy this one.
Additional little titbits from this series. I knew I had read these but couldn’t find the book CLAIMING THEIR FOREVER so I bought it. Then I found that all these are included at the back of the box set Vol 1 which I had already bought. Had to get a refund. CLAIMING THEIR FOREVER Rebel/Abraham and Charlotte from book one, share mating bites after Charlotte gets a scare and realises she cannot live without him. DEATH OF A WITCH Sad but it answers a few questions about Amber. I don’t hate her anymore. Pup/Adam (now Phoenix) shows what a sweetheart he is once again. THE CAR REVEALED Phoenix/Adam and Zuri ready to move to Detroit with her two siblings and Beast. A short sex scene with a vintage classic car. CHRISTMAS WITH REBEL So, so funny. Rebel gets Julian a very interesting and self-serving Christmas present. BITCHES DON’T RIDE A bit of politics with the old boys club, then a sexy scene. Gates did well holding back but I loved that Kaija dealt with the rude idiot herself. DOMESTICATION Lovely sweet read that has a wonderful heart-warming storyline featuring Phoenix/Adam and Azurine/Zuri.
I wasn't expecting much out of a collection of outtakes. Thankfully, I was wrong. A nice addition to the series, especially Katjia' s introduction to the Breed.
Claiming Their Forever was what I wanted from Rebel and Charlotte in the first place. They actually talked to each other...Or Rebel talked to her, and actually listened when she talked to him. They talked, they listened, they understood, they compromised, and the mated (the whole bity thing). And the inevitable sex scene "felt" better because of it. They weren't just going at it (as usual), there was something behind it—emotion, connection, understanding...
Progress, people!
Death of a Witch was absolutely perfect with friendship, family and budding new bonds on the forefront. Sarah, the old witch who raised Amber, Azurine and Scarlett, made sure her girls were taken care of before she left for the Summerlands. Sweet and a little sad with a promise of a fair future.
The Car Revealed was very PWP-ish, but who cares. They did it in a Camaro. All is forgiven if it happens in a Camaro. ;)
Christmas with Rebel...Well, I know this is a collection of deleted scenes, but this was utterly unnecessary if you ask me. It was funny once the true gift was revealed, but that was it. Whatever...
Bitches Don't Ride...Sweet. I loved Kaija going all badass on a wolf, and I loved Gates going all crazy (in a good way) on Kaija. I love these two together. Hot, sweet, and sexy.
Awwww, Domestication was the perfect ending to Phoenix-formerly-known-as-Pup and Azurine's story. They were almost unbearably cute in this story, and Phoenix's gift for her, and her gift for him (which I suspected from the start) were just perfect. Sweet, cute, and "sunny".
As with all Feral Breed books, I just wish it was longer. Either that there were more short stories or that the stories that are in here were longer. But each one told it's story just as it needed to, and I'm just being greedy because I love this series so much. And though I can pick a favorite from the novels, I'd be hard pressed to pick one from these stories. Hopefully there will be many many more novels and shorts to choose from in the future!
This was wonderful! While it is snippets of our favorite characters, we have a thread that connects them all in the form of Phoenix and Zuri's storyline. I really loved the insights into the relationships and seeing how everyone was adjusting. Also, it was so, so hot! I can't wait for more of these books!!
If your a fan of the Feral Breed books, you don't want to miss these snippets! They give you just a little more insight into the different characters and their mates. I absolutely loved them. My favorite - Bitches don't Ride. This is a must have for Ellis Leigh fans.
Claiming Their Forever (Feral Breed Motorcycle Club #3.5) by Ellis Leigh I purchased this book. I bought the paperback and the multi-book ereader edition. I loved this compilation of short stories/deleted scenes of the guys and their mates so far in the series. Honesty, if you liked the series these are some sweet scenes that help us get to know the couples better. They also help fill in some gaps as to what happened when their book ended.
