Georgie has destroyed me. She's threatened my freedom and everything I've worked so hard to build. My band, my music, is the last thing on my mind. I want her to pay for all she's done. But she's still my Georgie, and my desire for her is as hot as ever. She's my inferno, my biggest mistake and my greatest reward. My fans see her as their idol's downfall. When her life is threatened, I will come to realize there's nothing in the world more important to me than her. She's my flame. I'm her anchor. Together, we're explosive. We are incendiary. For mature audiences only. Incendiary is not a standalone novel, but is the conclusion to Georgiana McCall's and Sloane Mason's story that began in Inferno.
I am slowly but surely learning to manage my time more effectively and getting back to writing and connecting with everyone. I'm not completely there yet, but it is slowly coming together. Misled and Misappropriate have been updated with additional chapters and POVs from a couple more characters. Both books have about 30,000 more words and new covers. I have new covers for all the books in the series. Recently Misled placed first in the Mystery, Suspense, and Thriller category on Chick Lit Cafe. The paperback will also be included in an upcoming Reveal Book Box. While working on Reckless, I am also updating the text in the original series. About Reckless - It will be filled with death and destruction, as usual. However, I will admit to being slightly shocked myself at some of the turn of events taking place. I have restarted my newsletter with a new name, KatChats. Until the end of the year, I plan to send it out weekly because of all the news I have to share. After that, I will switch to monthly. I also have a new website. It should be online in a couple of days once the domain transfer completes. I also have a website dedicated to the Death Dwellers. It is still in its early stages, but it is live: https://deathdwellersmc.com. Meanwhile, if you have any questions, please send them my way.

I just LOVE this Author and her Death Dwellers MC series is one of my favourite MC series...so I was so happy when they made an appearance in this book..
Amongst all the lies and deceit and manipulation this is actually a beautiful story of two people who were meant to be together..
Recommended if you like a sexy Rock Star book with a really good plot ......
1,5 Stars! I had a very hard time with this book, both reading it and rating it just like the first one. So much drama, heartache, hypocrisy and... what the hell is wrong with this people? I'm considering diverting my book likings to classic warfare literature after so much drama.
The whole family is crazy, wicked and unstable, but the worst of them all is Sloane and only Sloane. How much of an ungrateful prick you must be in order to leave a little girl to fend for herself and her baby, making her a big joke for everyone around the world, when you know the truth? Even if she was behind all that -which of course she wasn't- how can you let the mother of your child being labelled as a crack-whore?
Sorry for the rant but it really made me furious to know that other people who only met her briefly -aka his bandmates- never believed it was her doing but he jumped into conclusion with no problem at all. As for her mother and grandmother? OH DEAR GOD! Please someone, chop them into tiny pieces ASAP! The one because she is a crazy mofo and the other because she is such a devious schemer, although i admired her grandma and her set of skills!
Now about the story in this installment, what can i say? Death threats, pain, psychotic bitches, a cute as a button baby and finally some backbone for the heroine. Yeah, right! The moment we thought she would fight back, she becomes an even bigger doormat. She acts as a 12 year old would and probably that's caused by her upbringing but it's too frustrating.
I had my doubts about the first one, but i liked it. This one is on another level. Sadly i didn't like it at all after the wedding. It turned out into a huge chaotic clusterfuck, i hated Sloane and i couldn't care less about Georgie anymore.
THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- I still like her father and Abby. - Go Maitland!!!!-what a name- but he was a much needed voice of reason. - Sloane is plainly an asshole, he flirts shamelessly with the dancers. - Just because she is 17 going on 18, doesn't mean she must act like she is lobotomized. - The sex is passionless. - Thank God we got rid of Kassandra! - I liked both of her brothers. - But the MC was a bit too much. There was no real reason to put that in the mix. - The lyrics of the song "Inferno" were great.
ARC provided via the ARR program of FSOG club by the author, in exchange of an honest review. Thank you!
What a ride!! This book was everything that I expected and more! I think Kathryn Kelly has done an excellent job with this book. It had everything that made me love the first book: emotions, love, lust, secrets, betrayal and passionate characters. Georgie is pregnant, alone and away from Sloane. Locked in her grandmother's house she can do nothing but hope that she won't be separated from her child. She feels abandoned and unloved and it seems like no one is on her side. Threats that her child will be put up for adoption keep her in line. Her entire life changes when news of Sloane's arrest reaches her ears. After his wild parties and endless fun that complete his rockstar life, he is accused of statutory rape. The victim? Georgiana. He is shocked when he finds out that supposedly Georgie was the one who filed against him. The report has his fans raging against Georgie. Angry and furious at the news, his longing for Georgie is mixed with hate. Not caring that she has just given birth to his daughter, he wants to take his revenge on her. Georgie is innocent but no one believes her. How could they when every proof is against her? She never spoke to the police, she never wanted to hurt Sloane. Her mother, her grandmother, Sloane's father and Sloane himself are all against her; putting her in a corner. Having nothing but her little girl in her life, she clings to her baby. When circumstances force her to fall right into Sloane's lap, she has to convince him that she is innocent; that she never betrayed him. But like always, she finds herself alone and her light is bit by bit extinguished. Will Sloane ever find the truth or will he forever hate Georgie?
I simply love the author's writing. I was very excited for this sequel and I was not let down! What I loved most is that our main characters grow. They are forced to grow up, they have to make serious choices. Sloane's change is huge. The womanizer is gone. He wants to be a good father for his daughter and ultimately for Georgie.
It's amazing how deeply he cares for Georgie despite his doubts.
Georgie is no longer the immature young girl we met in Inferno. She has developed into a responsible mother. Her love for her baby is astounding! Her adoration for Sloane is still there, but she is now putting her child first. She doesn't allow herself to be stomped on but she has no means and she depends on others for her safety. She wants to change her life but she cannot. Cassandra gets her well deserved fate and the grandmother plays a huge role in our plot!!! If you have read and enjoyed the first book, then I think you will love this! One of the best reads of the year for me! 5 Stars!

Title: Incendiary Series: Phoenix Rising Rock Band #2 Author: Kathryn Kelly Genre: Contemporary Romance Pages: Unknown Heat Level: 3 out of 4 flames Overall Star Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Reviewed by Naughty Book Snitch Kay
This book wraps up the love story of Sloane and Georgie. It takes place right after the end of the first book. Sloane is arrested for his relationship with Georgie, due to her being a minor.
Georgie is pregnant and feels forgotten. God knows, Sloane helped with that. He's been sighted with beautiful women and it's all over the media. Georgie's father is still a pussy and her mother is still an evil bitch. She's quite possibly the most vile woman I've ever read about. Georgie's formidable grandmother is still calling the shots regarding Georgie's future. Despite all of this, she still loves Sloane, even knowing she could be raising her baby all by herself.
Sloane loves Georgie. Truly loves her. He's just a pawn in the game his father has been playing with his life and those of his siblings. His father is a loathsome character also. The things he's done to his children are heinous. When the gloves come off and Sloane decides he wants Georgie, no matter what the cost, buckle your seat belt for non stop action and mind fuckery.
Kathryn Kelly has such a great way of writing extremely fucked up characters and situations. You get pulled into their worlds and feel like a fly on the wall. Sometimes you feel like you should take a nice hot shower or go to church after because her stories can be more than a little dark. But she finds a way to bring it all together. Georgie was such an endearing heroine to read about. Her story is not pretty but it is touching. The author gives you glimpses of the young girl's age when she tries to deal with her infant daughter. She doesn't know anything about babies due to her family's wealth and her age. Her helplessness and confusion regarding motherhood is believable and touching.
I loved the mixing of Georgie, Sloane, his band and the Death Dweller MC. Except for Christopher, I never enjoy him. I love Kathryn Kelly's books and can't wait to see what she writes next!
Book given in exchange for beta reading and an honest review.
I absolutely loved both of these books. Some subjects are considered taboo and some are considered twisted but Kathryn Kelly makes this story work. Our main character Georgiana(Georgie) is sixteen when she meets Sloane(our rock star) who is eight years her senior..they click, and he knows it is so wrong yet he can't seem to stay away. Georgie our young girl with an old soul and sad heart, his soulmate. They go through so much and have to deal with the stigma of age and society. There are other characters within this story that give it it's edge..Most get what they deserve. When she puts her Death Dwellers MC character into the mix it makes it so much more. Recommend both these books to people who love to read roller coaster stories...
Book 2, and the conclusion of the Phoenix Rising Rock Band series. This is a continuing story which means you MUST read Inferno before starting this book. Please be aware that this review will contain spoilers related to the storyline in book 1.
***
At the end of book 1, Georgie was on her own, 17 and pregnant with Sloane's baby. That book concluded with Sloane being arrested in front of the worlds press for her sexual assault and swearing he would get his revenge. We step back in time at the start of this book, learning a little more about Sloan's demons and his issues with his father. We also find out more about what led up to Sloane's arrest and ultimately Georgie's accusations.
And so the plot thickens....
Eventually Sloane's bail is posted and he sets about seeking answers to his questions and planning his revenge upon the girl that although younger than him, became his world. Why would she do this to him when she said she loved him? After everything he had done for her? Maybe this was his retribution for hiding his relationship with Cassandra, her mother. All he knows is he wants Georgie to feel the biting pain of betrayal that he does. Although in reality he still loves her. So the biggest question is will he or can he ever forgive her.
Georgie would never do anything to hurt the one person who has offered her unconditional love and given her a sense of worth. Yes her brother's and even her father love her, but they are too busy to notice her struggles. Her mother though hates her, of that she can be under no illusion. Helen, her grandmother enables and supports her mother in every decision she makes when it comes to Georgie; it breaks her heart. Seemingly abandoned by Sloane, she finds herself a virtual prisoner in her Helen's stuffy household awaiting the birth of her child. If it was down to her mother that child would be whipped away as soon as she had delivered it. Georgie however, is determined to keep her baby and cherish it as she does her baby's father. Will she ever see Sloane again? And will he believe that she wasn't the one that threw him to the wolves?.
And then we have Cassandra. Still determined to put an end to Georgie's happiness. The hate and jealousy she holds towards her daughter has only grown. She now has to just play it smarter and keep it hidden before she can ruin Georgie's life for good.
This is such a hard book to review as so much happens. I just can't even begin to give you more of an overview as this story is full of twists, turns and huge 180's. This is a story of 2 people who each have issues with their parents and who had found a kindred spirit in each other. Their ages are irrelevant to them, but are the sole focus for everyone else. They have a lot of emotional baggage to get through. Whether they can stand strong and together remains to be seen. They both need to find forgiveness and understanding in their souls. But with all that is against them, love and happiness might prove to be elusive.
This is a fantastic read and a brilliant follow-up to Inferno. Kathryn Kelly has weaved this complex story and she throws red herrings in it throughout. Her imagination astounds me. I seriously wonder how she sleeps with all these fabulous characters and storylines that sit in her very talented head.
For lover's of the Death Dweller's series, we get a cameo from the club. All I will say about it is that Outlaw is the absolute shit! He is a total badass and his and others inclusion in this book really adds to the overall brilliance of the story.
A well thought-out, intriguing sequel and conclusion to Georgie and Sloane's story. If you think you know where it's going you may just be surprised. What I will say is you will be more than satisfied with the conclusion, so get 1-clicking - you won't regret it.
After Inferno, I really didn't know what to expect in Incendiary. I know it would be an emotional ride. Full of anger, tears, pain, heartbreak, hope and etc. But what I got it was much more.
The first pages into the story and we got one of the secrets revealed. And I can't express how horrific it was for Sloane. And how much my heart broke for him.
A lot of games going on. And it makes me confused. Who did what, with whom, behind who's back, who's hiding what, who's really is the enemy, who's a friend....Well, I think you got me.
My hate for Cassandra didn't changed. She was as sick, selfish, greedy bitch as ever. And not for a second I felt sorry for her. She got what she deserved. And I don't mention her, because she don't deserve to be remembered.
Georgie is still as alone as ever. You know that saying, you're in full room of people, but you feel alone. This really describes her. And at first I was so pissed, who not one person was fighting in her corner. Or at least it seemed.
Sloane, our broken, tortured rocker. Sometimes I really wanted to stab him with the fork at some of his actions and thoughts. But his love for Georgie always saved him. And in more than one way. She was his salvation. A reason to breath and enjoy a life. To finally have a home.
The more you saw into theirs life, the more you seeing, how similar their where. Don't trusting, but so needing that someone always be by their side. Someone who no matter what, will always love them. And they go a rough path, to find that special person. To find each other.
Kiln was as dick as ever. Especially to Georgie. And on those times I wanted to cut his nuts. I had an idea, why he's like that with her. And later it revealed, I was right. At first she was a target because of Sloane. Kiln saw he got a thing for Georgie. So, he wanted to do the same thing, what Sloane did with his wife. But when Georgie wasn't cooperative, no matter what Kiln did, he started to target her for her. Why? Because despite that she wasn't really in relationship with Sloane, Georgiana was always faithful to him. And that galled Kiln, because his own wife couldn't say the same. But did he redeemed himself enough at the end? I think he did. Saving a life of innocent is priceless.
There's going a lot of stuff. And I would really don't know where to start, if I started to talk about them all. A lot of twists, that makes you feel, like you're solving a puzzle. And I enjoyed ever sec of it.
Some people made to change my mind about them. At least a little. Other's still is on my shit list.
I couldn't wait to see more of Phoenix rockers and theirs rocky road.
PS I was so happy to 'see' Death Dwellers crew. Especially my man, Psycho Stalker aka Outlaw/Christopher. Muah, babe.
I didn't realize how much I missed Sloan and Georgie until now. Wow!!! What a story! I loved it! I can not even explain all the twist and turns that go on throughout this book! Right when I thought I knew who was doing what, I was wrong! I loved reading more about every single character.
Cassandra...is still a hateful bitch. I'm sorry, but there's no better word that describes her. The way she treated Georgie was terrible! Talk about JEALOUS!! I can't believe the things that she would do and say. She was so unloving and can't seem to get past herself. If she wasn't happy, no one was or even allowed to be. I seriously believe that in the end, everyone gets what they deserve. I'm sure that sounds harsh, but it's reality from where I'm sitting.
Georgie... man I love that girl. I love how feisty she is and I love how she has no problem getting right up in Sloan's face! One minute, she's cute and innocent, and then the next, she's cussing at him. Georgie is still living with the hardness of her life from her mother hating her and her father not really being a father. However, she now has Bryn and Sloan so her life is full of love. Which if you ask me, is definitely what she deserves!
Abby...I would love a book about her. She is Sloan's aunt and Georgie's dad's lover. In Inferno, we didn't get to know too much about her, other than the fact that she was sleeping with Georgie's parents. However, this time around, we get more of her story. She truly was in love with Parnell and is a sweet person. I feel that she is just looking for love in all the wrong places. I'm hoping that in the end, she finds what she's looking for. She becomes a great friend to Georgie and deserves her happy ending; whether it's with Parnell or someone else.
Sloan...I'm just wondering if he ever keeps his clothes on! This guy is an animal and has no shame what so ever. I loved him in Inferno, and I loved him even more in Incendiary. I don't think there was a sentence that he said that didn't have at least one cuss word in it! Hmmm...well maybe when he was talking to Bryn?
I loved Sloan and Georgie's relationship. Even though there was such a big age difference between them, they were perfect together. They are one couple that can go from strangling each other to having sex and it seem normal! At one point, it almost made me want to go yell at my husband and cuss him out just to see what it felt like! Almost! LOL. There were so many obstacles that they had to fight threw to gain each others love and trust. I'm so glad that in the end, everything turned out for the best.
If you have not read this series, I highly suggest it especially if you're looking for a book full of love, angst, and jealously!
I know I didn't put up a review for book one but at this point...f*** that! I had to jump straight into book two...OMGjust amazing writing right here. Goodness I was luterally given the book yesterday...and this is no short story and I finished it already...I read fast but not this quickly. This book sucks u in and never wants to make you leave.
We leave off where book one ends...Georgie..goodness this girl cannot catch a break at all. I love her and want to cradle her at the same time. I'm a mama bear and she is now my cub. This girl goes through hell in the first book, but no that's not enough she has to be get slapped down over and over again in book two as well. I just wanted it to end. But unlike in book one Georgie FINALLY finds her voice and doesn't take the same s*** in book two, yes we have to read to get there but when you do all you can do is applaud her strength for what she says and deems as protecting her daughter. Just wow...
NOW THE MAN OF THE HOUR.... Sloane... Just goodness is there anything sexier right now? Gold hoops, long hair in those blues eyes, and tattoos....yessss that's it right there...sorry sorry I'm not focused let me calm down...f*** it one more time those damn hoops in those ears, I wanna lick em too Geogie! Ok ok...now let me get to it, sorry. Ok, now Sloane is pissed which any person in his situation should be but I wanted him to realize the love Georgie had for him, it went from fan girl to lover really quick and I felt it was real, he just needed a minute to open his eyes to it. This isn't this Sloane we saw this first t I've, the girls, drugs, parties...etc. this is a grown man that is FINALLY IN LOBE he's been through so much he needs something or someone to save him and that's where my girl Georgie came in. I didn't trust him either at first I lit eternally waiting for (sorry I don't want to spoil it) anything got happen.... He's just made my dreams this year though. Wat a guy...
Now there's things I wish I got more of...Sloane with his daughter more, he seems to have the sweetest moment one insent then the next he passes her off, I wanted more a family man, but that doesn't take away from my stars at all. I loved this book times three. I need one more of their story. We catch a whiff of what being on tour with band in the first book was kind of about, but now as a wife, the groupies, dancers, babies, being married to a hot rocker period! I need that, what's going to happen?!!!
P.s. I pour one out for Cassandra (bitch)... U will see... And I love Kiln right now like really love him. I know don't hate me! And what going on with the other brother???.....time shall tell
Again Kathryn Kelly gives us a whole lot of crazy with the families of Sloane and Georgie. With Inferno there is crazy, now in Incendiary it seems to be times ten. You really aren't sure how these people live with themselves for what they've done, and poor Georgie is always caught in the middle. This review will spoil parts of book one.
In book one Georgie and Sloane were parted, but not by choice. Her heavy handed grandmother brokered a deal where Georgie can keep Sloane's baby, but she can't see him anymore. Still only seventeen, Georgie doesn't have much say in the matter, plus she needs to keep Sloane out of jail.
"She shouldn't be anywhere near me, but I can't stay away from her." ~ Sloane
Sloane misses and hates Georgie all at the same time. At the moment all he sees is revenge, until he sees her. There's something about this girl that makes him want to give it all up an become a better man and a better father than the one he had.
"Georgie is my calm in any storm. I look at her, and the world is right. I hear her voice, and I'm soothed. I touch her, and my joy is endless." ~ Sloane
"My desire for her was wrong but out time spent together was right. My anger over what she did is natural, but my response to it, to her, isn't." ~ Sloane
Sloane is so torn this time around. Between his father, her grandmother and mother, plus the band, it's a wonder he doesn't turn right back to the drugs. We see exactly how diabolical Sloane's dad really is this time around and the band is there to constantly salt his wounds. Georgie's mom has completely gone off the deep end and at one point I just wanted her gone. Grandma was a tricky character. I wanted to hate her, but still could see that little sliver of good way down deep. Really deep.
"Phoenicians rise. You have. Don't thrust yourself back into the flames. This time they may consume you completely." ~ Georgie
What a mess to sort out. I liked that Sloane was so full of real emotion this time around. Also, Georgie's brother Cash steps in for his little sister big time, as well as Sloane's Aunt Abby. Really between the two of them, Sloane and Georgie only have a hand full of people they can trust.
"I didn't have hope, but I had my music. Now, I don't have music, but I have hope." ~ Sloane
The book was fantastic and wrapped up beautifully. Kathryn Kelly took that drama all the way to the end mind you, but it was so worth it. Incendiary was one hell of a crazy, sexy ride!
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
OMG Friends...get ready!! This book is long, complex, full of twists and turns and sexy!!! Did I mention its long?? Did I mention that Kat's other series, The Death Dwellers MC, are in this book? OMG YES!!! FYI Don't even think about lusting over John Boy He is MINES MINES MINES!!
OK back to Sloane and Georgie....so in the last book, Sloane has essentially left our girl. She is preggo and alone. Her crazy mom is hating and her grandma is plotting as usual!! Well fast forward to Georgie giving birth and she is forced to be back into Sloane's care??? WHAT!!! Sloane loved and hates Georgie. He believe she has betrayed him.
The couple have alot ot over come....his rape accusations, his jail time for admitting to sleeping with underage Georgie....see alot of stuff. Plus throw in the fact his family is blackmailing him to stay in the band......hot mess.......
when Sloane and Georgie over come a huge hurdle and shock everyone with somethings, they seem on the right tract. But then someone is trying to hurt Georgie and her mom is trying to force Georgie's hand....I am telling ya....CRAZY TIME!!!
I have to admit, I hated Helen in book one but boy oh boy do I love her!! YES I love her....If you read book one you are prolly thinking NO WAY ANGIE but yes way!! LOVE her and kinda fear her but tons of tons of respect for her.
I cant even begin to cover all the stuff that happens because soo much does : Sloane maybe not being faithful, men hitting on Georgie, Kiln being Kiln, Cromwell, Abby sharing secrets and on and on. I gotta tell ya. I loved this book better then the first one and I adored book 1!!
A forbidden love story. When you know you know. Your one true love. Too many obstacles, forces stopping them. Before they even began “Georgie. You’re my inferno. You’ll always burn inside of me.” “You’re the only girl who’ll ever own me.” “Is this our goodbye, then?” Gahh!!!! Starting this ripped my insides apart. A gut clenching sickness. My heart split into half what’s going on between Georgie and Sloan. Again, Gah!!!! I didn’t wanna continue this. I really didn’t. But I received an ARC, and not finishing was not an option. My feelings be damned. It tore me apart. Literally. These types of reads affect me way more than it probably should. Georgie is completely and utterly broken. Defeated, dead inside. Months of loneliness. Isolation. Deceit. Lies. Betrayal. Now, she prefers isolation. Everyone leaves her. No longer has it in her anymore. No hope. She’s lost Sloane. She only has Bryn. Sloane has been forced out of George’s life, unbeknownst to her, until circumstances bring them face to face. Finally. George’s been waiting her shining rock star to reach out to her. False accusations are publicly made, destroying lives in the process. Public ridicule, humiliation.
It’s hard having a divided family, having it shoved in your face at every turn, it’s even more difficult to live directly in the pit of fire.
This was a wonderful ending to Georgie & Sloan’s forbidden tortured love story. I was graciously gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I have to be honest. I had to take a couple steps back and look at this book from every perspective I could before rating it. Starting into the series, I was so horrified by its cruelty and general wrongness that I kept thinking I wouldn't even finish. Then, I found myself unable to look away…
I can say that I think the writing was captivating. Obviously, or else I wouldn't have read the first, and then this second book in succession. I just couldn't handle the sensitive subject matter, and that isn't the author's fault. I've read and enjoyed other taboo books, but the main character, Georgie, was so young and immature, and such a general train wreck that it felt wrong. Plus, I didn't like Sloan. Simply put, he was an ass. All the suspense and drama involving the families was almost too much and I found it difficult to suspend belief and accept it.
All in all, there had to be something there because like I said, I couldn't seem to put it down. I had to know what was going to become of this poor abused little girl and I was on edge, hoping against hope that she could find her happily ever after. The whole thing was gut wrenching, horrifying, sob inducing and just continually ticked me off on behalf of Georgie. I did find myself admiring her much more after she became a mother, a very good mother in fact.
As a sequel this served very well, wrapping up the stories, and explaining everything. Just make sure you read book one first, and go into this expecting to be shocked and heartbroken. ~ George, 3 stars
Incendiary (Phoenix Rising Rock Band) is the second book in the series of the Phoenix Rising Rock band and it most certainly does not disappoint. It has everything and more that I was wanting, and I must say Kathryn Kelly is now one of my favourite authors.
Sloane Mason the lead singer of the Phoenix Rising Rock band is infatuated by Georgiana McCall a gorgeous, young and very immature girl. After the cliff-hanger ending in book one we follow Georgie and Soane in a whirlwind of angst, betrayal and explosive love.
Sloane's desire for Georgie is palpable and never forgotten, although her age keeps him away from her. Once again, Cassandra is the most amazingly loathsome and vile mother, and of course, there is Helen her Grandmother who is not much better. Georgie's pain is felt right throughout the book, with her constant betrayal by the people that mean the most to her, including Sloane.
I have to give this book five stars only because that is the maximum you can give a book. To me this is a five star plus book, I would give it ten if I could.
I'm torn between 3 stars and 2 and half stars to be completely honest. But I'm going with three because I did like Georgie towards the end.
I received a copy in exchange for my honest opinion. This does not influence my opinion in any shape or form.
My head is seriously all over the place after finishing Inferno. I can definitely the first book was my favorite the second one had too much of everything and I hardly ever complain about anything but this time I definitely felt like it was too much.
Our Story With a family like the ones Sloane and Georgie have you don’t need enemies. In fact, they may be nicer then your family because this family is just so messed up. I just can’t even.
We pick up where the first book leaves off, Georgie is pregnant and under law Sloane is in serious trouble because she’s underage and he’s like nine years older then her so obviously she can’t consent. So things just turn into a hot mess.
Hiding Georgie from the world, telling her she has to lie about the paternity of the father so that Sloane doesn’t get in trouble. Live apart. Blackmail. IT HAS IT ALL.
And you know who I feel the most sorry for Georgie! The poor girl, everyone is so busy covering their asses that they don’t even take time to consider her! The poor girl is constantly be threaten by HER OWN family to have her baby taken away from her. I just can’t, you don’t do that. THAT IS MESSED UP.
I felt this whole book was a bit messed up the story just went all over the place for me. Like I got whiplash. I didn’t know who was a friend, who was an enemy. I just didn’t know and I don’t know how Georgie managed to keep it together. I seriously don’t.
What I did like about the story was it showed just how crazy fans are, to what lengths their loyalty will go, how crazy a celebrity’s life goes and just how fascinated we are with our youth that we forget to embrace the aging we go through.
Our Characters Georgie, my sweet Georgie. Half the book I wanted to slap her because she was crying all the time which I totally understand because the hell everyone was putting her through was just taking a toll on her. I felt like she was just a hot mess and finally towards the end of the book I was finally happy that she was learning to stand up for herself and grow a back bone because she needed it in the first book and a lot in the second book.
Sloane I don’t know if I hate him or I love him. Like, I think I hate him more then I love him. Because I don’t understand a whole lot of his actions especially in the beginning, I had to take a break from the book because it was making me so so mad. I just couldn’t deal with his, I love her, I hate her ordeal I just couldn’t. But towards the end, I kind of respected him and how he finally put Georgie and their daughter first.
Overall, For sure, the first book was my favorite compared to the second book. I just felt like too much drama happened in the second book that really took away from the storyline. I was seriously lost when the whole Death Dwellers MC came into play, I’m assuming they’re the author’s other book series and she wrapped them into this series but yeah, I was definitely not impressed and wanted to skip most of their parts because I couldn’t really understand what they were saying or what they were doing there. I did like that Georgie was finally learning how to stand up for herself and learning to have her own voice. She really needed it. I especially how she was as a mother, I really enjoyed seeing her grow in that aspect of her character. If there is more to this series I may check it out, I may not. I’m still undecided. Check it out for yourselves see what you think.
“His long lashes sweep down and my breath hitches, despite everything. Desire tightens his face and I squirm beneath the intensity of his stare.”
4 super hot stars!!! This book is scorching hot and I loved reading it. I was sucked in from page one and I didn’t want to put it down.
Sloane, the lead singer of Phoenix Rising is completely smitten with Georgiana, she’s totally gorgeous but absolutely immature. Sloane’s desire for Georgiana is off the charts, but her age keeps him at bay. This is a continuation from book one and I don’t want to give too much away regarding this book, but it was so good!! I loved this book so much!! This is a great series, and I love the author!!! Well done!!!
Omg this book was amazeballs!Sloan pissed me off a few times but I can see that he truly does love her but with his pAst always hanging over his head he doesn't know how to handle it. Georgie is in love with Sloan and fears that he wants to take her daughter away from her til she learns how is just trying to protect her from his crazy fans and her mom. They have been through so much and just when they think she is safe someone tries to hurt her. This book had me up all night wanting to see what happens. It's so awesome that we also get to see the death dwellers get involved as I love outlaw and have missed him.you will love this book!
Georgie is back home with grandma, and pregnant. Keeping the truth behind everything Sloan and her did is huge since she's underage and Sloan will go to jail. When the secret is out that's exactly what happens.
Sloan believes Georgie told their secret to get back at him. After Georgie has the baby, Sloan can't seem to stay away. He wants to protect her and the baby. Will Sloan and Georgie find their love again or is everyone out to destroy them?
Whoa. Seriously unfreakingbelievable. I honestly did not expect the surprises this book gave me. From the first chapter I was sitting on the edge of my seat with what Sloane saw and which changed his whole life. I was shocked beyond reason.
Then I met Georgie, and I wanted to put her in a safe place away from all the psychos. She was soo young, she was completely lost, she wasn’t strong enough it seemed and she had been abused. Al she wanted was her freedom. She only wanted two things in life, Sloane and now their little secret. We find Georgie isolated at her grandmother’s. She had no friends and she had no idea how her life would play out. But she had hope.
Every time she climbs up from the pits of darkness, something would try to drag her down. When she was looking to the light, something smashes her world until its dark again. First it started with the phone call and then the news broadcasting the so called accusation. She was left reeling because it was a lie. Things get worse after that, she’s hated and to make matter oh-so-perfect she’s being emotional stunted by the family. She’s at risk of losing the love of her life and the most precious gift she could have ever asked for.
On the other hand Sloane cannot because the chaos that ensues in his life, it triggers the path that he was always meant to go to. His emotions are all over the place, his heart and soul is being ripped apart. He cannot believe the lie that has made his life a living hell. He has to give up something really precious to him and that means his world would become dark again.
Sloane did not believe in the light until he met Georgie but until he confronts his demons and finds the truth he won’t get his redemption. But the road to happiness is filled with crazy fans, crazier family and the undeniable instinct to protect the one person he loves the most. Even if it means ending his dreams.
This book is totally crazy. There were moments in it that left me unable to comprehend the madness. From Georgie’s mother, her grandmother’s behavior, Rand and Sloane’s brother to the whole being a rockstar and the plain truth behind Sloane’s journey till now. It is dark, it is chaos, and it left me reeling. I loved the inclusion of Cash and his posse. It left me wanting to have more of them. I wanna know about them and their stories.
This one had it all, moments of madness, anger, lust, terrible secrets, betrayal of the worst variety and the love of two star crossed lovers named Georgie and Sloane. So will Sloane be able to get his girl or will the world interfere and take the inferno that kept him breathing from his grasp? To learn more, 1-click this baby. I should warn you, this is not an easy read.
I seemed that I waited forever for this book to come out and it was well worth the wait. Sloan and Georgie what can I say, I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THEEEEEEEEEE!!!!. I know that Sloane acted like an idiot for some part of the book but it was to be expected. I mean come on he thought Georgie had set him up so his reaction was to be expected. Even when he was being terrible to her, I still felt the love that he had for her. Sometimes I wanted Georgie to be stronger but then I remembered that she was only a teenager so I had to give her a pass on some things. Overall I liked their ending and hopefully we will hear from them again.
Oh Lord Cray Cray Cassandra- I so wanted that BIATCH to have a Grey Gardens ending where she lived her life in the past and walked around a decrepit mansion. That woman was a HAWT ASS MESS of a mother. I think she might take the title as the worst mother in a book I’ve read yet. She got off to easily in my opinion and so did that punk a$% Parnell. I’m sorry he was a horrible husband and father to Cassandra and Georgie. His cheating was one of the reasons that Cassandra went crazy, not saying that the BIATCH wasn’t cray cray from the get go. I’m mad he got to live a happily ever after with Abby, while suffering no repercussions for his lack of balls.
I know that some may disagree but I liked Helen and her character was never black and white she was a gray character. One never knew which way she would blow, which I liked. The old bag kept us guessing always.
Now as anyone who has read my past reviews know, I cant stand that Imbecile christopher “outlaw” (lower case on purpose) who is always a douchebag. UGH just die please!!!!! (sorry Kathryn I love you still (lol). Surprisingly I was able to stand Golden “P%^$% Megan for once because she wasn’t the main focus. I liked the interactions between the women and was glad to see that Georgie made some friends.
As for Kiln in the last book, I liked him and thought that he potential to change his douchebag ways but he turned into a borderline rapist. NOPE not liking him at all and don’t want you to get your own book!
Great book Kathryn, you have done it again, although sad to see some of these characters gone it was well worth the ride.
Firstly I would like to thanks the lovely author for kindly providing me with a copy to read and review. This will be the second book that I have read of hers and I can't wait for more. It may be time to delve into her Death Dweller's MC series, as we see them in this one....I'll be honest I didn't know how there were until I looked at Kathryns other books.
Incendiary is another fucked up hell storm or a storyline! But I we knew that a storm was brewing form the way Inferno ended.
Georgie....she's all fucked up, she doesn't seem to be able to catch a break! My heart brakes for all she's been through, then to see he life slowly go down the drain before here eyes....
This is ONE pickle she may struggle to get herself out of...
Sloane....It's one thing after another. Groupies, scandals, lies, past discretions, but the worst of all a Rape claim....that for one if unimaginable to think of what the accused goes through. But can his love for Georgie save him this time?
"Georgie is my calm in any storm. I look at her, and the world is right. I hear her voice, and I'm soothed. I touch her, and my joy is endless." ~ Sloane
Will Sloane and Georgie survive afterall?
Betrayal, hate, past mistakes, secrets, drugs and manipulating family members..so many obstacles in the way!
Can two messed up souls be each others salvation?
Will they be able to find redemption for their past mistakes? And most of all Will they be able to get the HEA, they're searching for?
I should know by now this author holds nothing back when it comes to the characters in her books. Whether hero or heroine, or a secondary character, their role is to bring substance, conflict or peace to the storyline. Well, this sequel to Inferno has everyone doing their part times ten!
There are so many things working against Georgiana McCall and Sloane Mason being together that I really wondered how they were going to weave through the minefield to get to a happier ever after. Georgie’s age continues to be an obvious stumbling block as both of their families fight for their controlling place in each of their lives. I really think a picture of the McCalls and Masons should be under the dictionary definition of ‘dysfunctional’ because they are that and all kinds of messed up. Georgie’s grandmother and mother are the antithesis of loving and nurturing while Sloane’s Dad is one screwed up human being. Even Sloane’s fans are getting in on the action as they see Georgie seemingly bringing their idol down.
From the opening pages this story gutted my heart and started twisting and turning in a way that never seemed to let up. There is so much tension and conflict I wondered how I would actually enjoy the story but once again an incredible cast of characters are brought together to love and hate but, above all, savor. Twisty, mind-blowing, five gold stars.
Because this is the second book I will not spoil this book for anyone. So with that being said...please go and read book 1 and then grab and read book two. Sloane Mason is still one hot sexy as sin Rock star. I feel in love with him in book 1 and I have never stopped. He had me falling even harder for him in this book. Georgiana McCall is still one feisty girl. I like her character because even though she is going through hell she is still very much loyal to the one man that hold her her heart and soul. Now this book has so many twist and turns....and you will love them! It took me a minute to get into this book but once I hit 20% I was in it for the long hall. That is where the 4 star comes in. I am extremely happy with way this book ended and I am hoping that there will be more books in this series for other characters but I am not sure if that will happen or not.
If you all know I then you know that I am a HUGE fan of Slash....yes I said Slash. Like I would act a damn fool if I even got a chance to meet that man. Well that is how Sloane Mason is too me as well. Kathryn Kelly thank you for bringing Sloane Mason into my life. He is one hot Rock star
Everything! That's what this book had. Betrayal, love, hate, jealousy, fame, sex, family, and violence just to name a few. But I can't get over the beautiful writing. The author's ability to make the reader feel the enormous amount of emotions that were in this book was uncanny. Georgie's pain was unbearable at times. I felt like I was breaking into pieces reading her POV.
The characters were amazing. I've never seen a rock star trope done like this, where the band hates each other in the beginning. Character development was flawless. The ups and downs, twists and turns were jaw dropping. I have never updated my reading progress as much as I did while reading this series. This series will go down on my list of all time favorites. My only complaint is that I had no idea who the bikers were as I didn't read that series. It wasn't fair!
This series was a -freaking- mazing! I want to read it again immediately. Book hangover is the worst. Where do I go from here?!
Gonna make this short & sweet, and (try)not to give any spoilers. Great ending to Georgie & Sloane's story. They hit quite alot of bumps in their road to their hea, but in the end, love triumphs. Some surprises & some expected turns. Loved seeing the Death Dwellers MC again in this book, coming to lend a hand & some (hopefully) lifelong friendships made. Loved this book as much as Inferno (and love this author, as well). Maybe we can all talk her into a novella to see where Abby's journey takes her.
How do you top Inferno? You keep the crazy fire blazing with a whole new level of insanity and destruction with a bit of love mixed in. AND you go find those Death Dwellers and invite them in on the action. That was an awesome treat. I have been captivated by this book since page 1 of the last book. These twisted characters are beyond anything a mere mortal could have thought up, Kathryn Kelly had to have had a mental break after finishing these books. I want more. I want the rest of Phoenix Rising's band member's stories! I want more Sloane and Georgie! xo
This is the conclusion of Inferno, a spicy, twisted story of Sloan and Georgie, and their highly dysfunctional family. The twists and turns in this story are sometimes difficult to digest as narcissism takes a whole new meaning in this lust to love story amongst the rich and famous. I could not put this book down reaching for the conclusion. Floved it!
Mind blowing!!!! I love all the twist and turns of the plot. I thought I had it figured out, but it just went in a different direction I was on pins and needles until the end. I hope I see more from this series.
