His Blushing Bride by Dani Collins is book two in the Montana Born Brides Series.
Piper Tierney is a twenty-four year old band director at the high school in Marietta, Montana. Throughout her life, she remained pretty sheltered, didn’t date, didn’t go to prom. She had her first relationship in college but it was not a healthy relationship. She is one of those people that can’t say no to anyone. She is constantly on the go, accepting more commitments than she should have. It’s the end of the school year. She is trying to finish up the end of year things at school and has committed to playing at a huge celebrity wedding coming up in Marietta. So when she comes home from work, knowing she has to run back out again shortly, she finds a very sexy man sitting on her front porch waiting for her. It seems that her parents who are currently traveling abroad, offered him their house to stay in while he was in Marietta. She does NOT have time for this.
(Se)Bastian Bloom met Piper’s parents while backpacking. Even though his shaggy hair and good looks make people perceive him as a surfer dude type of guy, Bastian is actually currently working on his Doctorate in Political Science. His sister is also getting married in two weeks and he wanted to be here for the wedding and to get to know his future brother-in-law. Bastian has seen enough unhealthy marriages that he has a very poor opinion of long term relationships and marriage. He loves women, but on a commitment free basis only, which means sex and companionship but no strings. He is instantly attracted to Piper but she seems like a girl that would want promises, long term commitments, so he convinces himself he needs to keep his hands off.
“There was something about Piper that drew him more strongly and urgently than he’d ever experienced.”
The chemistry between Piper and Bastian is immediate and strong. Piper knows he is only staying for two weeks, she knows that they are attracted to each other, so she decides that she wants him to be her first. That he is the perfect man to turn her into a woman. But can she keep her emotions out of it and let him go when their time is up?
First, I love these Marietta, Montana stories. I loved that we got to revisit Liz, who is Bastian’s older sister, and Blake as they prepare for their wedding. I met them in Dani’s book, Blame The Mistletoe. Piper is a sweet, ambitious, strong woman who goes after what she wants. I couldn’t help but to love her. Now Bastian is another story. I was so worried about how much he would hurt Piper when their time was through. I really felt angry with him, as if I myself wanted to protect Piper. But, of course, he redeemed himself in the end.
“She did want more than his body. Making love with him was incredible, but it wasn’t enough. Not anymore.”
This is another one of those series where each book is by a different author, this being the first one that I have read. They are short, but are packed with all kinds of Marietta fun and sure to leave you with all the warm and fuzzies you can handle. This one has plenty of the hotness factor which for me is a definite plus. I enjoyed the book very much and look forward to reading more about the residents of Marietta, Montana.
3.5 Overcoming All Types of Assumptions Stars * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free I seem to have developed an addiction of sorts...I have this need to periodically visit this place called Marietta, Montana and catch up on all the gossip, romances and people. Does the place actually exist??? Hell, If I know... All I know is in the the books put out by Tule Publishing... they have come up with a concept of linking all kinds of niche stories together; then put out engaging books which include HEA's, people with slight hang ups about love... and the required smart, hunky guys and loving women.....or loving men with the determination to get the independent, smart woman they love....
It's kinda like chips... you can't read just one, ya know...
This is the second in the Montana Born Brides series. (The Fairy Tale Bride https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...) What we have is the music teacher of the high school, Piper, receiving an email update from her traveling parents. It is informing her of a man who will be staying at their home for a few weeks. It seems they met this Sebastian in South America, chatted and became fast friends. His sister happens to be here in Marietta getting married and she do not have enough room for him at their ranch... thus the need for him to stay at Piper's parents vacant home.
Piper, 24 and not attached to anyone, is not pleased with this idea. It was "fine" all those years when she was a kid for her dad to have the backpackers stay at their home ... then at least both her parents were there...but now... with them away...what will people think...
Why Nothing, of course...
Because Piper, kissed on her face by angels... leaving a rose colored birthmark, knows no one would ever consider her doing anything. For years as a teenager, she was teased or shunned; first because of the birthmark... then because her father was the music teacher and everyone thought to keep her at a distance... never inviting her to ditch or hang...too afraid she would tattle... Piper became the music teacher to young kids... growing into her dad's place at the high school. What she didn't expect was to still have her VCard at 24. What she had hoped would be a positive relationship at college turned into a selfish insecure guy wanting Piper to "cover up and fix" who she was...Instead she held onto the believe and words her mother told her so many years ago... "when a real man sees you... he will see only the real you... nothing else."
So, here we have Piper thinking she really needs to figure out how to meet some men who would see her not as the boring high school music teacher as all of the decent single men are being snapped up by auctions or other town happenings...when she drives up to her family's house and see this vision sitting on the front porch. Shaggy blond hair, toned but normal man body, and eyes which make her blush just by their gaze alone. It seems the traveler is here already.
Sebastian or Bastian, as it turns out, watches as this dream of the hot school teacher gets out of her car. She is a little stiff but polite and asks him about how he met her parents. As he explains the connection and their insistence he stay and help with Charlie the dog... he notices Piper taking everything in.... He can see she might be interested in him... he is used to women looking and more... He flirts and pink overcomes her face...he asks to go shopping as all of his things except the most important were stolen. She agrees and while they drive into town... nervous energy floats off her in waves. He is intrigued....
Piper is uncomfortable and conflicted... This is weird... he seems interested in her...or is he...maybe he just flirts with everyone. As she ponders this, she is also thinking of all of the music for the celebrity wedding which will be taking place. Dealing with all of that will keep her mind off of Bastian... hopefully...
What does happen over the course of a few days is a real conversation between the both of them...He tells her he is really interested...no lie...she shares she finds that hard to believe...He proves with a demonstration of how interested he is due to just thinking about her...What happens next is Piper deciding maybe Bastian should be the one to show her how things are done.....
This had all of the elements to capture your heart and think of how hard living in a small town could be...how being pegged as the teacher's daughter...and then the teacher could isolate one...how a skewed sense of self could make one think they are just not attractive. Conversely, for Bastian, his personal experience with his parents and their marriage laid the groundwork for his belief in no marriage at all.
We had these two who thought their time together had an expiration date and it would be perfect that way....only to discover they both felt more than expected.
The added benefit was all the other characters who were woven into the story. If we had read their books all the better BUT it was not necessary at all to enjoy this one.
These tales are easy reading; lunch breaks, after dinner or anytime escapes. You can just dive in, be entertained then come back and finish. There are more of the Montana Born Brides series to come and I will be happily reading them all... like those chips I mentioned... it is hard to stop at just one...

His Blushing Bride is the second book in the Montana Born Brides Series, and I have to say it was an absolutely superb read.
”I’m getting the impression you live by a lot of rules.”
Piper and Bastian, were both likeable down to earth characters, their coming together offered a little twist to the normal ‘boy meets girl’ trope. Piper is the towns High School Music teacher, concerned with appearances and aware that everything she does is watched with great interest. Bastian is in town for his sister’s wedding, more of a free spirit he goes where he wants and does what he wants to do. And at this point he wants to ’do’ Piper.
”Sweetheart, if we release the animal… We’re not getting him back in the cage.”
Dani Collins has mixed the perfect amount of sweet and sexy together into this novella, I loved this pairing, I am absolutely loving this series, cannot wait for the next Bride to get her guy!
”I can’t remember how quickies work… Can you give me a refresher?”
ARC generously provided via Netgalley, and it was my absolute pleasure to provide the above honest review.
Surprisingly sexy and very sweet - I really enjoyed this story. This is the first book I have read in the Montana Born Brides series and I can't wait to read more! I loved both Piper and Bastian. Piper is the school music teacher. She's a little shy when it comes to men. Bastian is in town for his sisters wedding. He's never had a problem picking up women but there is something different about Piper. Looking forward to reading more by this author!
Piper is a small town girl who works as a music teacher. She has been isolated for most of her life for two reasons. First being a teacher’s daughter, most students avoided her in case she told on them. Secondly, the birthmark on her face had been a source of teasing and bullying. Her one and only boyfriend had wanted her to ‘get it fixed’ and had dumped her when she had refused. She had almost given up hope of finding the ‘perfect man’. Sebastian is pursuing his Doctorate and has taken a break to attend his sister’s wedding. He is a smart and good looking man who knows the effect he has on women. But he is not the settling down type. When Sebastian and Piper meet, there is some chemistry that cannot be ignored. But they are so different and so are their ‘wants’ from life…
I LOVE Piper so much. She is such a darling with a genuinely good heart and a not so smooth life. I really felt for her and it was a pleasure to see that despite everything, she had not turned bitter. Sebastian is a good guy too and the fact that he is a hottie helps his case too. He is a confident and charming guy who works his way into Piper’s heart and removes her insecurities. They are a perfect match for each other. I also liked the way these two characters interacted and talked and built up their relationship. Though the time period set was not very much, their romance did not feel rushed at all. The author has done an admirable job of developing the characters with their flaws. The additional characters are interesting enough to make me want to read their stories as well. The flow of the story and the narration was just perfect. Also, the language used is simple and inviting. Every aspect of this book complements each other.
This is a complete package that every romance novel should offer.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
The only reason I gave this book two stars rather than one is that the plot actually is not terrible. The events that happen in the book and the order in which they happen is not bad in and of itself. However, the execution was just not good. There were so many typos that it was incredibly distracting. The writing style was very amateurish and juvenile. A decent percentage of the book actually came off incredibly cheesy. The amount of detail the author glosses over actually made bits of this pretty confusing, which was frustrating.
Piper and Bastian were not bad as characters. Again, many of their interactions were ridiculously cheesy. It was hard to take them seriously as characters, it was impossible to take them seriously. It was even more impossible to take their relationship seriously.
Revisiting Marietta after the the Bachelor Auction this time around it is for Montana Born Brides, this is the second book.
His Blushing Bride features Piper who is a busy High School music teacher always happy to help with any event. Thanks to her parents she goes home and Bastian is on her door step come to stay.
This was a fun sexy read Piper and Bastian are hot together. I felt for Piper what she went through growing up as I can identify with people staring and being cruel. I am looking forward to the rest in this series.

I read the first book in this series which left many things unanswered so I picked up this one expecting it to be similar to the first book. None of my questions about characters from the first book got answered and this one is a totally different heat level than the first book. Way too much content for me (sex, language, sex) leaving me feeling quite disappointed that I even picked this one up.
His Blushing Bride is a lovely second offering to Tule Publishing’s Montana Born Brides Series and Dani Collins has brought her reader a hot and sexy short romance with a sweet heroine and a hero with a little bit of a mouth on him.
“Sweetheart if we release that animal, we’re not getting him back in the cage.”
Piper and Sebastian were likeable from the start. With a fabulous chemistry their romance was natural, well-paced and brought fun, some heartache and some lovely touching moments.
Once again I have developed a little series addiction and whilst each book is l linked to the overall story of Marietta’s celebrity wedding, each could be read as a standalone if you wished.

High school music teacher Piper Tierney got a facial birthmark that didn't appeal to people, mostly men, that's why she hadn't been lucky in her relationships. Until happy-go-lucky backpacker Sebastian Bloom set foot in her doorstep, literally. Apparently, her parents allowed Bastian to stay in their house for a few days, as he was to take part in his sister's wedding. All seemed fine and blooming between the two, until Bastian had to return home and left Piper behind. It was all for the best, Piper thought, but still it hurt her heart, knowing she wasn't enough worth staying for.
Again, I found myself falling in love with the character/people of Marietta. Piper was such a lovable woman, strong and intense. Bastian, on the other hand, was care-free, self-efficient and so damn hot!
Dani Collins really knows how to tell a great story and how to easily connect the readers to the men and women of Marietta. I recognize most of the characters from the previous Montana Born books that I've read and I can't help feeling "deja vu". A feel good story one would love to read at night, guaranteed for a good night sleep!

Piper comes home on the day she gets an email from her parents about a traveller staying in their house for a wedding in Marietta, only to find him on their doorstep already.
There is instant attraction between the pair and even Pipers birth mark on her face is forgotten about. It is only after being with Bastian does Piper realise that maybe she has been blind to anyone's attraction to her in the past. But 2 weeks of fun between the sheets ends up taking a different turn when Bastian has to go home and both find themselves hurt.
A chance trip to LA to visit a find has Bastian running to the hotel to see her where both finally end up admitting that they both still want more from each other and that maybe forever after is not a bad thing.
We get a decent ending and epilogue a little down the line where the couple is happy and living in Marietta with their families.
Piper Tierney grew up in Marietta, even went to school there but never really had a boyfriend or any relationship there because her Dad taught at the local high school! She did have a somewhat long distance relationship whilst studying but it certainly didn’t work out. Now she’s back in Marietta, living in an apartment above the garage of her parents’ home and teaching Music after replacing her father as a teacher at the school. Her parents have gone off back packing and exploring, making the most of life and occasionally sending back packers to stay in their home. This time the back packer isn’t quite what she assumed. Sebastian Bloom’s come to stay for his sister’s wedding and cleans up into one very attractive, hot, irresistible hunk and the attraction between the two is explosive. He’s clear he’s only here till the wedding is over and he’s not the marrying kind. Should she take a risk on love or reject his advances? Can he resist her for more than a no strings affair?
A great storyline with strong, opinionated characters in a setting which is becoming ever more familiar as I read more books in these series. Perhaps a little too much detail on the sexual activities for my tastes but still a great read and a lovely addition to both series and some more characters to look out for in future stories. Whoever coordinates the authors for these books is doing a tremendous job as settings and characters from Marietta maintain their identities and characteristics throughout the series even when the books are written by different authors. I’m starting to have a map of the area in my head from reading, it is getting to be so familiar and a welcome virtual place to escape to in the stories.
Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Piper is a 24 year old music teacher, who lives life by the rules. She has always done what every one wants of her, which means she is constantly working or helping people in some sort of way. While her parents are traveling in Panama they meet Sebastian, a 31 year old blogger. After spending some time together they learn he will be going to his sisters wedding in, Marietta, which happens to be their hometown. They offer to let him stay at the house, if he agrees to help their daughter watch the house and dog. Sebastian accepts their offer and decides to come early to spend time with his sister before her wedding. Piper has an instant attraction to this man on her porch, whom she learns is her new house guest “Bastian”, I mean who wouldn’t? Beautiful blue/green eyes, tanned toned muscles and a witty personality. His flirtation is something new to Piper, her whole life she has believed she wasn’t pretty enough for any of the guys in town. With Bastians constant complements and blatant attraction to her, Piper finally lets her reserved ways go. She agrees to jump into a friends with benefits type relationship with Bastian. They agree its just temporary until he leaves to go home back to California. Through out their weeks together they both start to become more and more in “like” with each other. What will they do when its time for Bastian to go home? Will they fight for their relationship or will they just let go?
His Blushing Bride was hard to put down, so luckily it was a pretty quick read for me. It was a feel good and all around happy novel. I would recommend this book to any one who is looking for an evening read to make you go to bed with a smile!
Occasionally I like to mix up my reading and go with something a little softer, a little sweeter, a little more mushy. And I that's exactly what this novella gave me.
Piper has lived in small town Marietta most of her life. Due to a birthmark on her face, she has been self-conscious and shy, afraid that all men will be able to see is the mark on her face. This is brought home to her by a scummy ex-boyfriend who, after losing a bunch of weight, pressures her to get it "fixed". When she meets Bastian, and he convinces her that he is attracted to her and doesn't even see her mark, she realizes he would be the perfect man to be her first. After all, he won't be sticking around, and with the celebrity wedding going on, their won't be a lot of talk when he leaves.
Bastian met Piper's parents while in South America doing some research. When they found out that Bastian would be traveling to Marietta for his sister's wedding, they offer to let him stay at their place. Especially since they know their daughter will have her hands full with end of the school year and the celebrity wedding also taking place. He never expected to find someone as sweet, sexy and interesting as Piper.
Bastian has some issues related to his military father, while Piper's are more centered around her birthmark. They both had to overcome their fears to be together. Family played a large part in this book and there were some real characters. I enjoyed the read and am giving it 3 stars.
Thanks to Netgalley and Tulle Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Unfortunately, I just could not finish this book. I kept reading long past the time I first considered putting it down, but I finally just stopped reading. The writing style and subject matter was juvenile. The heroine was 24 years old but her actions and thoughts towards sex were more indicative of a 14-15 year old. Despite the fact she was a virgin, she was still an adult, but didn't act or think like one in that way. The language pattern used by the author was juvenile as well. At one point, the author actually included a "ha ha" in the text - she might as well have included a "LOL". There were also statements such as "This was so weird.", "Oh, punish me, teach", "he was a mountain of masculinity". She referred to the hero's naval button as "his innie". She said something was "annoying to the extreme" and said that she was “Frenching” with the hero.
I was initially intrigued by the premise of the story and I thought I would be reading a nice, sweet love story but instead I ultimately couldn't get over the fact that I felt like I was eavesdropping on two teenagers talking about their biggest crush. I have read young adult / new adult novels that still have a mature writing style, despite the age of the characters. In this book, the author's writing style was so juvenile and immature I finally put the book down and decided that it wasn't worth my time to finish.
Wedding fever has hit the town of Marietta, Montana ...
Piper Tierney is the town's school teacher and always at her best. She has an image to uphold and children who look up to her. Sebastian Bloom is as care-free as they come. He lives for the moment and this moment he wants Piper :)
I reaaaaally loved this little story! Piper sees Sebastian. She sees him as more than what he paints himself to be to the world. And the more time she spends with him, the more she sees ... and she LIKES what she sees! Sebastian sees beyond the sheltered school teacher persona everyone's labeled Piper with. He sees a beautiful woman he just can't stop thinking about. The chemistry is undeniable. He must have her. And have her he does ....
What starts out as a no-strings fling turns into so much more ... discovery, growth, love, friendship :)
Excellent read!

"His Blushing Bride" by Dani Collins is a wonderful, quick, 'you don't want to put it down' read. It is a part of the (Montana Born Bride series -Book 2) but you don't have to read the first book to figure out what is going on in the story. I always like to read series books and I do recommend reading this series.
We meet 24 year old Piper who is a naive in the ways of men, but still lives her life to the fullest. She took over the teaching job in the music department when her Dad retired. She lives in the garage apartment at her parents home but they have been away enjoying retired life. While on vacation Piper's parents meet Sebastian 'Bastian' or as his niece calls him Sea Bass. They offer a room in their house since his sister lives in the same town, and she's about to get married.
Life is full of twists and turns. Memories of the past shape who Piper and Bastian are presently. Many different parts of the past come forward and seem to get in the way of their happiness. There is much more to this enjoyable read. You'll need to read it and find out what happens.
Montana Born Brides Series Book 1: The Fairy Tale Bride by Scarlet Wilson Book 2: His Blushing Bride by Dani Collins Book 3: Bride by Mistake by Nicole Helm Book 4: Finally His Bride by Maisey Yates Book 5: Kiss the Bride by Rachael Johns Book 6: Two Nights with His Bride by Kat Latham
Piper is busy planning the music and teaching at school so she doesn't need her parent's "backpacking hippies." Except this guy is a lot different to the other people they let inside their house.
Bastian, is on his doctorate in political science and he decided to take a break and help her sister to her upcoming wedding. When he met with Piper's parents and they offered their house, he didn't know that their daughter will be making him doubt his self imposed rule: no wedding.
This book is so sweet and a bit lighter than its predecessors. It plastered a smile on my face and it definitely is a page turner. I just couldn't string the correct words but I love this book.
I enjoyed this novella quite a bit. This was pretty much a by the books romance with one small difference she’s a virgin looking for no strings attached not typical in my opinion but not bad. The sex was steamy without being overly graphic in my opinion. I did enjoy reading Sebastian’s change even while he was fighting his feelings he still did embrace them in the end. Piper had her own demons to fight and she did conquer them in the end. Over all it was a satisfying read.
NetGalley provided a copy in exchange for an honest review all opinions are my own.
Excellent read! Piper has lived in Marietta her whole life. She's lived a bit of a sheltered life, so maybe it's time to live a little. Sebastian Bloom is in town to attend his sister's wedding. Piper's parents have offered to let him stay at their house while their gone. Is Sebastian just what Piper needs since he will definitely be leaving or will her heart get too involved??
This book is very well written with a great story that will keep you entertained. I recommend this one!
His Blushing Bride was an insta-sweet, insta-adorable love story. The book had an ugly duckling to beautiful swan kind of feel to it. I loved the easy, natural flow that Bastian and Piper had. The quick chemistry between them certainly blossomed into the something more that they both obviously craved.
Received through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was a sweet romance that dealt more with the relationship between Piper and Bastian which makes it so much better in my opinion. Their relationship developed smoothly and seemed quite natural. I really enjoyed the aspect of Piper knowing Sebastian's niece, Petra, beforehand, which added another dimension to the overall storyline.
Well, I’ll be. This story was so much better than I was expecting. The first book in this multi-author series didn’t really do it for me. But because I already had this book in my Kindle library thanks to a free download last year, and because the next story after this one is by a favorite author of mine and also in my library already, and because I have read another story by this author in the past and enjoyed it, I decided to give it a go while entering with low expectations.
I love the chemistry between Piper and Bastian, and the shy uncertainty of Piper really tugged at my heartstrings. Not that she’s a pushover, because she’s not. She’s just very inexperienced in relationships and lacks confidence. Bastian not only gives her the freedom to express her true self, but gives her the confidence to realize she’s been holding herself back her whole life.
From the outside, it seems Bastian is a pretty put-together guy. He’s kind, good looking, has traveled extensively, and has a freelance type career he can do from anywhere and on his own timetable. But Bastian also has some issues he has kept pushed pretty far down that he has to deal with. Piper unwittingly brings these things closer to the surface which scares Bastian. And he doesn’t react well when he thinks he’s being cornered.
This story really has me seeking out the other books in the Love in Montana series which is strictly written by Dani Collins. I’ve already read book #2, Blame the Mistletoe, about five years ago. Now I want to start again from the beginning. I really enjoyed this author’s writing style and characters.
This romance is about overlooking physical appearances and seeing the beauty beneath, for both Piper as well as Bastian. There were things I liked and things I didn’t.
Not having read any of the previous Montana books, it was really confusing when the author went through a convoluted two-paragraph explanation of how Petra and Ethan are related, soon to be double related. I had to diagram it out to be sure I wasn't reading something horrifying with banjos playing in the background. Also, the title doesn’t really match the story since there are no wedding scenes and she's really not his bride, at least not until the epilogue.
I really enjoyed Piper's character and Bastion had real promise, although some of their early interactions bordered on juvenile. The story improves in the final chapters, and of course, thank goodness for epilogues.
My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Another awesome read from Ms. Collins! I love the fact that Piper is a bit "settled" in her own world, quiet and reserved, yet not afraid to take leaps when persuaded. And, who could not fall in love with the hero? Uncle Sea Bass? Not only does the nickname suit him, but so does Piper! We all know that the love bug will always strike when we are not looking, and the story of Bastien and Piper definitely falls into that category! As usual, Dani Collins has created another masterpiece, with characters who are wholesome, and a plot that is perfect! Yet another wonderful story from this very talented author. Looking forward to more from her!
4 stars I purchased the novella His Blushing Bride ( Love in Montana #4; Montana Born Brides #2)by Dani Collins and this review was given freely. Liz's brother and playboy bachelor Sebastian meets the high school music teacher and virgin Piper. Highly descriptive and full of innuendos this short based romance features all the couples from the prior three books with a heavy emphasis on Sebastian and Piper's steamy romance, Piper's hectic work schedule, and Sebastian's seventeen year old niece Petra during the 6 months before Christmas.
Started at book four. Every page, every chapter, every sentence, kept me mesmerized. Bastian and Piper are just amazing. Their story just took my breath away. The friendship, turned into a lovely relationship. The fight to keep love and to make the effort of keeping each other aware of their feelings. Open communication is the key, Reading Bastian 's mistake and coming to terms of what his love for Piper, that is what her love shows. The epilogue was the cherry on top.
3.75 - cute story. can be read as a stand alone, but really got the feeling I've missed a lot as names were thrown out there like I 'should' have know who they were. little confusing at times keeping track of who is who and why they were in the story. the love scenes were definitely 5 stars, and the dog just made it fun, but the ...... drama (?) from their past and how it affected them now, just made it a so-so storyline in believability.
