I read this as part of pre-work for a leadership program within my organization. I agree with all the principles discussed. However, they seemed obvious and elementary. Additionally, the quantity of statistical data was so extensive that the content was repetitive.

Good book, sounds reasonable in retrospect, but not very easy to read.

As a business student, this book helped shape my knowledge base surrounding proper leadership and management practices. Lots of real-world application and many "aha!" moments. I expect I will keep it handy throughout my professional career.

Thoughtful insights about leadership and practical examples about how to become a leader. The leadership theories proposed in the book are based on decades of research over many people, which makes the book really convincing. It is better to have a copy as manual book to check from time to time. I love the book and would love it more if the book can be less lengthy.

Full of useful tips that are mostly intuitive. Not a hugely gripping read. John C. Maxwell's books are more thought provoking.
