This is easily the steamiest book I've ever read. I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough to see what would happen next.
Seb is happily married to Libby, but one night on a business trip, he gives in to temptation, spending the night with his attractive new co-worker. What follows is how Seb and Libby navigate the betrayal of trust, but also the new doors it opens to them.
I don't tend to read this genre, but I found it gripping; it isn't just one mindless sex scene after another, there is a plot and the characters are likeable as well, despite the morally grey things they do.
Great writing, I'm glad I chose to branch out with something a bit different.

This book is far from my usual books...while I do read books with smutty/open door scenes
in them I’ve only ever read 3 books which I’d consider full on spicy...out of those one I detested, one I was so so about... but when the author reached out to me about this one I thought I’d give it a shot. I’m glad that I did.
There is a plot but the spice is front and center. Seb and Libby have been married for years and have a child. When a young co-worker of Seb’s becomes too enticing to resist, Seb owns up to his wife... and doesn’t realise the animal he has unleashed. Advised by her
sister Libby tries to even the score by finding a new man of her own. What follows is a sexual reawakening for both them and their relationship.
It was fun reading about the no clothes spa and no clothing beach. I couldn’t imagine going to one of these. Us Brits have a bit of a name for being quite conservative and I would
definitely fit that type. I’m not one for trying new foods never mind clothing optional :’)
Seb was quite adorable when he was being led astray (although I did slightly want to punch him the second time).
There’s a scene where they go on holiday and find a new couple friend and that sure did shock me. Did not expect things to go there so quickly! Thought it seemed a bit too much but maybe that's to be expected in such a smutty book.
Overall it was an interesting, fun
and spicy read – not for the reserved or faint hearted. The writing was compelling and I’d certainly read more from this author... but next time I'd hope for a little bit more from the plot/characterisation side.
Insight into how “wild” my life is...they get up to all sorts of crazy stuff in this book even though they have a young child. Whilst I’m going round hiding the book and reading in secret so my 6 year old doesn’t see what Mummy is reading...quite impressive that they
managed to get away with so much haha

📚 Book Review: Lust & Betrayal by C.K. Seggs 📚
Where are all my smut-loving, spicy book readers? Because I know you’re out there, and I have a feeling you’ll devour this one! 🌶️🔥
This isn’t my usual go-to genre, but I like stepping outside my comfort zone and trying different types of books, so I went in with an open mind. The author warned me it was spicy… and he definitely wasn’t exaggerating! 😂
While the spice is certainly front and centre, Lust & Betrayal is also a story about temptation, betrayal, trust, and exploring the boundaries of a relationship. It delves into what happens when those boundaries begin to blur and how far people are willing to go in pursuit of desire.
The writing flowed well, the pacing kept me turning the pages, and there were a few moments that genuinely surprised me along the way. I found myself flying through the book, eager to see how Seb and Libby’s journey would unfold.
If you enjoy relationship drama, morally grey decisions, plenty of spice, and stories that explore the complexities of marriage and trust, this one may be worth adding to your TBR.

Lust and Betrayal is not for the faint-hearted. There is a lot of sex in explicit detail, so be warned if that's not your thing. Without wishing to spoil anything, it's about a couple, Seb and Libby, who go about their normal lives until Seb gives in to temptation on a business trip with a colleague, Becca.
There's then revenge, making up, more infidelity and acceptance that perhaps exploring their sexuality isn't such a bad thing after all.
There were several scenes that were super steamy, all the more so because you could imagine situations like that occurring in real life if you were lucky or unlucky, depending on how you look at it.
Don't be surprised if you need to keep some ice cubes handy while reading this!

200 pages of absolute filth! If you like a contemporary read with a heavy helping of smut, then look no further!!
Lust and Betrayal is an exploring of temptation and the consequences of giving in to that. But, in this situation, things take an unexpected turn. For Seb and Libby, we find that one choice opens up a whole world of possibilities, and it would be rude not to at least sample its delights!
This may not be for everyone due the nature of betrayal… but it’s a short read, with an interesting plot and as i mentioned, very spicy. Definitely not what you’d expect!
