ARC REVIEW

Road to Eden is book 2 in the Missing girls and Lost boys trilogy series. It follows Everlees journey from a great amount of loss at cornerstone to embedding herself info Eden life and getting married, all for the sake of bigger picture.
We meet some new fantastic friends, one of which I’m in love with. We meet old friends, which absolutely shattered me. And we find out some shocking news which will follow onto book 3…

Hannah has yet again wrote another amazing book, she manages to captivate her audience through such descriptive writing. I wrote the same for book 1 but I genuinely cannot believe how easy it is for me to picture every single scene in my head.

I cry a lot reading books but the amount I cried (good and bad tears) throughout this is unreal. Make sure you grab tissues before you start reading.

Knox holds such a special place in my heart being Scottish and calling Lee hen!! I call absolutely everyone that, including my husband.

Hannah, thank you so much for trusting me to arc read both of your baby’s , you are phenomenal 💕

The rebellion continues. And intensifies.

Everlee is still mourning the loss of her best friend, Zeke, and Joey, who she thinks was the love of her life, but she was reunited with her dads and the Cornerstone. Now she is leaving on a new mission, but at least this time she will have some friendly faces with her - and she knows the plans. Until of course nothing goes according to plan.
Seeing how her and Robby got along, after they started their “Roomie Report” and actually started to get to know one another and spend time together, I was so happy for her. When Alex was introduced and she found out who he was?! Literally gasped out loud. But he was one of my favorite characters. I was almost nail biting reading through the chapters on if Robby was going to get found out, if Suzette knew more than she was letting on about what happening in their apartment…..

I loved that some people from the first book made appearances, it kept the flow going for sure. And of course, there were even more twists and turns that I did not see coming. Ren?! I almost threw my kindle. TWICE! The heartbreak was real there. And Rex? Shocked. Had to let it sink in.
I definitely cried a bit the last few chapters. Both happy and sad tears.

The ending was phenomenal. And yet another cliffhanger to make me have to wait for more. Impatiently.

I received this book as an Advanced copy and I am writing the review voluntarily

This is going to be an absolutely wild statement because I've read so many incredible books this year, but I think this one is going to be god-tier for me. I haven't cried from laughter and simultaneous devestation this much since reading the entire Zofiac Academy series. They're very, very different books, but the emotional rollercoaster that this book put me on was 100% on par. Its been several days now since I finished it and my mind is still reeling. And the closed door scenes?! Masterfully done. The banter & yearning were top-notch 👌

I do my best to not put spoilers in my reviews, but wow is this hard lol. I loved all of these characters already, and somehow, this book made me love them even more. And the ending.. diabolical. Just trust me, you need to read this book. I will not be shutting up about it for a very, very long time.

And to Hannah - thank you so much for letting me arc read 🖤
This book is perfect and I'm planning the watch party as we speak in prep for a movie/tv show deal.

Road to Eden: Missing Girls & Lost Boys is an amazing second installment in The Missing Girls Trilogy. I loved every minute of it.

Seeing Everlee step into the role of the perfect wife while secretly working to dismantle the system was fascinating. This book made me love her character even more. She’s strong, intelligent, compassionate, and determined, even when the odds are stacked against her.

One of my favorite parts was watching her form relationships with people I never expected her to trust. Those connections added so much heart to the story and made me even more invested in what happens next.

The ending had a couple of twists that completely caught me off guard, and now I need to know how Everlee’s journey ends.
This series just keeps getting better, and I can’t wait to dive into the final book.

I have sat down to write this review a few times since finishing Road to Eden and each time I honestly don't think I can do it justice!
I have fallen in love with it, obsessed over it and rattled my brain for answers to the biggest love triangle that rivals Peta and Gale, Edward and Jacob, Rhysand and Tamiln?! No I’m just joking on that last one lol! I would go as far to say this one really seems like there is no clear favourite, Oh all right I might have a little favourite, but only because in my head he looks like Alexander Skarsgard! The forbidden love, fake relationship, family loyalty and revolution made my little heart sing.
Road to Eden is the second instalment in the Missing Girls and Lost Boys trilogy and it has been an absolute honour to read for Hannah.
We dive head fist back with Lee after leaving her in book 1 still piecing her life back together after the devastating death of Zek. As we step back into life at the Cornerstone, we find our girl and her band of boys are running their missions together, systematically taking down each facility with the now well trained team and bringing the women and children home to the women’s Haven.
The stakes are so high through out her time in Eden I practically binged through the night as every time I thought to my self ‘Right just one more chapter then bed’ something else happened and I just could not tear my self away!

Then comes the one mission everyone was dreading, the undercover mission as ‘The Wife’ entering the heart of enemy territory in Eden. Her objective is simple; play the part to convince the people of Eden she is the perfect wife to Robert Fox. A high up rich party boy who also happens to be outrageously intelligent. He in return will hold up his end of the bargain that he made to her Dad’s. Lee and Fox together actually melted my heart, they begin as strangers, level up to room mates and then….well who knows?
The stakes are so high through out her time in Eden I practically binged through the night as every time I thought to my self ‘Right just one more chapter then bed’ something else happened and I just could not tear my self away!
The tension that is constantly being built around the forced appointments they must attend at the ‘Reproduction Centre’, constantly being watched by the Rangers who are at every corner, watching every camera made me a nervous wreck. Not to mention the risk of President Beckett finding out who she is.
I laughed, held my breath, sobbed, laughed again and broke my heart over everything in this book, and I swear Hannah has put spells or something in it to make it so addictive.
I write all this to say it is an absolute 6 star read. And now I have the impossible task of trying to dig my self out of the biggest reading slump – because what do I even read now?

Jumping back into the world of Missing Girls and Lost Boys was a whirlwind – but it was exactly what I needed. An escape, and time spent with beloved characters from book one.

In Road to Eden, we follow our much loved, strong-willed protagonist Everlee – or Lee – into Eden itself. The book offers the familiar comfort of the crew of characters from book one, with wonderful moments of friendship and encounters in and around the Cornerstone, whilst introducing the new environment of the dystopian country’s “perfect” capital city. Lee navigates the politics of Eden – both social and on a much larger scale – as she infiltrates from the inside. She battles with grief, characters you love to hate, and crippling decisions of the heart.

New characters are introduced, bringing with them complicated situations and relationships. Their development, alongside those we already know and love, is so rich throughout this book and that well-crafted, to the point where you don’t realise how deeply you’re rooting for them – and I mean every one of them – until you’re hit with the high stakes events they’re tangled in. Not to mention the perfectly timed plot twists. They were wild, and like in book one, there were many I didn’t see coming at all. They’re the kind that have you jumping from your seat and shouting: “WHAT?!”

Emotions were running high throughout, with plenty of bittersweet moments and thoughts of absent characters who were kept alive through the chapters. Some scenes and certain dialogue had me welling up, others laughing out loud, and some relating to the slightly more Handmaid’s Tale vibe plot line had me gasping and seething. (Because honestly, at times, this world feels only a stone's throw away from our own right now...) It was an utter rollercoaster as the world of this series really opened up.

A big thank you to the author for letting me be a part of the street team on the run-up to the book’s release. It was an absolute pleasure to dive back into the series. I am already in dire need of book three – and I am absolutely ready for a revolution. Until then, I guess we'll “hold the line.” :’)

(I have had the privilege to ARC read this series. Thank you, H. Elliott!)

I love, loved book one, Missing Girls and Lost Boys. BUT I’m bewitched body and soul with Road to Eden. I stayed up til 1am to get to 97% as I was scared to finish it, in case it was a cliffhanger and I would be having a sleepless night. I finished today and I am emotionally spent and amped up at the same time.

This is one of my favorite books I have ever read in a series. It will be seared onto my brain and in my heart forever! I’m a sucker for an engrossing dystopian tale.

As involved as Everlee finds herself running missions for Cornerstone - scavenging and going on rescues - her ultimate mission hasn’t even started yet…going undercover as a Wife in the heart of Eden to research the Eve Project. The Husband, a Mr. Robert Fox. Known throughout Eden as a rich playboy with a reputation who also happens to be a lead researcher. Fake marriage anyone? All the while grieving her lost family and friends.

The tension in the surveillance city, the forced weekly appointments to the reproduction center, the pressure, the patriotism and longing for a better life, the buds of a rebellion that will lead to a revolution… this is the book of the season!! Plus, the passion and longing of a forbidden romance, a fake marriage, grief from losing the life you want and what you have. Oh, it’s so good. Emotionally damaging but so worth it.

SPOILERS…

….

….

….

….

I won’t give many but I just have to talk about this…
The love triangle in this will leave you breathless. I’ve never experienced anguish like this. You think you’re Team Edward or Team Jacob? How about Peeta or Gale? I always have an easy favorite but I canNOT choose!!! How can you write two characters that I adore equally for different reasons?! I’m still distraught.

"Oh, Everlee Clade. It seems you're big and bad enough to bring this city to its knees"

I didn't think I could love this series more after reading the first book, but I am so very happy to have been proven wrong!

Our FMC Lee is deep undercover posing as the wife of one of Eden's elite, Fox, whilst she works to dismantle the regime from within to further the cause of her Father's rebellion; The Cornerstone

Lee is not only grappling with grief from the events of book one, but also struggling to tame her temper and her tongue in the face of the oppression she's trying to overthrow

I loved all the relationships we got to explore with both new and recurring characters; romantic, platonic, found family, but most importantly the sisterhood

What I loved most though about this book was the way I could almost feel the proverbial noose tightening as the situation got more dire in Eden, with the regime ramping up their reign of fear and stripping the women of their autonomy even more - I was filled with rage alongside Lee and wanted nothing more than to take up arms with her against the diabolical President Beckett

What has yet again left me absolutely in AWE was her writing and the way she discusses the women's oppression. For a lot of them, it's been like boiling a frog in a pan - do it slowly enough and they won't notice until it's too late. The women are treated like little more than property and little less than cattle. They are trophies, something the men are rewarded with for compliance

Two quotes that really hit me:
"Even then, I knew it was a strike against me - a strike against women. A move to help instil fear and control over us"
"I suppose they stopped caring about the women that they were making promises to"

All the strength. All the devastation. All the manipulation. All the violence. All the impossible choices.

They continue in book two.

If you've read book one in this dystopian romance trilogy, you already know the fierce Everlee, her resistance leader dads, her captured forbidden love Joey, her biker accomplices Leon and Atlas, and the egomaniacal President Beckett. You know about the women and children in concentration camps, the prisoners forced to labor in the mines, the Unity Index, The Wilds, and the Eve Project. Book two picks up right where book one left off and throws you straight back into the emotional turmoil. You'll meet new characters, secrets will be uncovered, and plots will be exposed as Lee takes on Eden with The Resistance.

And sure there's action and intrigue, but throughout the story is woven a devastatingly beautiful slow-burn romance with all the yearning and heart wrenching emotion.

“Oh, Everlee Clade. It seems you’re big and bad enough to bring this city to its knees.”
“But not the great Robert Fox?”
“Miss Clade… do you want me on my knees?”

“My life was so incredibly silent before you arrived. Even when you were still, your presence seemed chaotic within these four walls. But here I am, panicking at the thought of you not being here one day.”

“My heart is and will forever be caught in your orbit… You’re my moon, my sun, my star. I’m coming back for you.”

Be prepared to lose sleep, I couldn't put it down.

Road to Eden, the sequel to Missing Girl and Lost Boys, was a book I ended up loving even more than the first. Since I absolutely loved Missing Girl and Lost Boys, I wasn't expecting this sequel to surpass it, but somehow it did. I would definitely recommend reading the first book before starting this one.

I need to be careful not to include any spoilers. We are still following the strong-willed Everlee, who has now entered Eden, the dystopian country's supposedly "perfect" capital.

There are several new characters introduced throughout the story. Some you'll love, and of course, some you'll hate. I completely fell in love with Fox, and I also adored Alex. I'm really hoping to see more of him in future books.

The story is packed with perfectly timed twists that had me shouting, "WTH?! Why didn't I see that coming?" One twist in particular, involving a chapter from another character's point of view, completely blew my mind.

Thank you, Hannah, for letting me join your street team and for providing me with an ARC of the sequel after I loved the debut so much. Now I have to patiently wait for book three!

If you enjoy dystopian fiction, you really need to start this series. That said, I rarely read dystopian books myself, and I completely fell in love with this one from the very first book. I urge everyone to give this series a chance—you won't be disappointed.

Hannah has done it again, another story worth shouting from the rooftops and whispering about in the dark.

Road to Eden, the second installment in the Missing Girls and Lost Boys trilogy, doesn’t just live up to book one… it surpasses it.

The second part drags you deeper into the shadows as Everlee Clade steps into Eden, slipping into the role of wife to elite golden boy Robbie Fox, while her heart still aches for Joey, the love she lost.

Inside Eden’s surveillance soaked walls, Everlee faces a world where women are ornamental, danger is omnipresent, and her own name carries a bounty.
Every choice she makes feels like a match struck in a room full of gasoline.

Prepare yourself for love, loss, betrayal, and heartbreak sharp enough to bruise. Think The Handmaid’s Tale meets a Pearl Harbor‑level love triangle (IYKYK).

- Fierce FMC who refuses to break
- Yearning MMC that will ruin you
- A villain so barbaric you’ll want to set the book on fire
- Forbidden longing threaded through every chapter
- Arranged marriage tension done right
- Slow burn that smolders

A full‑bodied 5⭐️ read.

I’m already desperate to see what becomes of Everlee, and the boys who orbit her.

I will begin by saying that Missing Girls and Lost Boys is a five stars read for me, I loved everything about it.

With that being said, I am still trying to figure out how H. Elliott managed to outdo herself at such a tremendous level in Road to Eden. I wish I could rate it higher. The story was so perfect that I had to highlight 82 quotes. I blushed, giggled and kicked my feet, all of it and I fell in love… can’t say much, but trust me you will fall in love too.
I went through a rollercoaster of emotions while reading it, I laughed, cried, gasped, raged, and grieved; at one point I even yelled “Oh Shit!” because the plot twist was that good. I seriously need book three. I need to know what happens next.

You don’t need to be a dystopian-romance fan to read this series, it is amazing. Do yourself a favor and read Road to Eden.

Soft Spoiler Alert! Stop reading if you haven’t read MG&LB

On a serious note, the subject of grief and mourning were deeply showcased by the author. I cried on multiple occasions because as someone who has lost someone I truly connected with the characters who were grieving.

✨️ARC Review✨️

Oh my goodness. I do not know where to begin with this. I'm going to try for no spoilers.

Following on from book one we are back into Lee's world as she still reels from the losses and the grief she suffered in Missing Girls and Lost Boys and is preparing to go in to the city of Eden.

Once again I am blown away by the humanity of this book. The truly good humans at the heart of the story. Their loyalty and love and care for one another.

There is a very difficult relationship dynamic within Lee's story in this book and the author navigates it so well that as the reader I could feel Lee's turmoil and could forgive when she acted as she did because it made sense and was true to her.

This book is about female oppression and rage but like the first book I cannot get over what good, good men are right there at the front, leading the revolution and righting the wrongs.

The amount of twists and turns in this book was amazing. I couldn't put it down and I cannot wait for book 3!

Well done Hannah - what a masterpiece!

My oh my... Hanna Elliot you did it again. Just when I did not think you could surprise me or crush my soul, you took me on an emotional roller coaster. I went through every emotion there is throughout this book. I did not want to put it down. It is rare that I find a book that consumes me and this one held me hostage.

There was so much going on in this book but it fit perfectly. You get to see Lee grow and become a stronger woman than she was in book one. The second book takes you along with Lee, leon, Kris and Ren as they continue fighting for the cornerstone in Eden. Helping all the women of Eden and fighting Beckett. Along the way she makes new friends and shows you the kind of effect she has on everyone. You will fall in love with some new characters and even question Lee a few times. I laughed with her, cried with her, loved with her and was even conflicted with her. I already wish I had book 3. I need to know the rest of this store. This has become one of my favorite series! Thanks Hannah Elliott for the opportunity to read this book!

I received an ARC of this from the author as i was desperate to see what happened next after devouring book 1!

And I'm so glad I did - that was a RIDE - ups, downs - all of it!!

There's new characters to love and hate, plus lots more of the originals that had me both squealing and misting up.
I especially enjoyed the little back story with my favourites (no spoilers here, but if you know, you know!).

This story is scary in how close it gets to what *could* happen, and there's many heavy moments of despair and darkness, but it's also heartfelt and filled with the joy of found family, plus so much quiet (and also not so quiet!) rebellion, feminine rage, and hope too!

I would highly recommend this if you enjoy dystopian, and I'd recommend it even if you don't!
It does have some heavy themes, so check those out first if you're unsure. Make sure to read book 1 first too or you'll be completely lost!

And so begins the waiting game for book 3...

Screaming. Yelling. Begging, YOU to go and read the first book of this series so that you can read this book when it releases July 7! I read Missing Girls & Lost boys back in May and I ate it up. I have been impatiently waiting for this ARC and I have spent every moment in my busy week trying to sneak in pages because I love this story and these characters! This is the sequel I was looking for! I was riveted by this author's storytelling in this book. I can’t believe there is still one more in the series-so much to unpack after reading this one. We actually get to see Eden!
A new male character is introduced into Everlee’s life, rhymes with box, and I am a big fan.
I am in awe of Everlee’s character, herself. She plays so many parts, and has to stay strong and committed for her family and what she stands for. But at the same time is afraid of what is to come, is feisty as can be and gets embarrassed easily. She is a fun conundrum.
You need to read this series!! Looking forward to seeing how everything will come together in the last book.

I just want to start by thanking H Elliott on giving me the best journey through her work!
What a ride it's been, this story is so well written, I don't know how the author manages to write with such brilliance. I was so invested the whole way through, with a lot of tears and smiles, I fell in love! Such a captivating piece of work, it's one I would love to read for the first time again. The characters are so easy to connect with and the flow of the story is perfect

After falling in love with Missing Girls and Lost Boys, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Road to Eden. This is the best series I’ve read in a long time, and my go-to recommendation for everyone! The characters are beautifully written—their pasts and presents are equally captivating. The author has an incredible talent for blending important, real-world issues into a fictional story

Want an amazing read? This is it! I loved it and Lee is incredible! Her passion and determination really highlight the strength of women, which I truly admire. This book does have moments that made me angry, but that’s the whole point. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, so I will keep it short. If you like books such as hunger games you will love this!
