Martin Kellermanis a Swedish cartoonist, mostly known as the creator of the successful strip 'Rocky', published in many big, mostly Swedish, newspapers.

The semi-autobiographical cartoon 'Rocky' was created after he was just fired from his position as a cartoonist for the gentlemen's magazine Aktuell Rapport, was dumped by his girlfriend and thrown out of his subleased apartment.

'Rocky' has since then, among other things, been published as a magazine, twelve books with cartoons, wall calendar, Christmas calendar, and a stage play, touring around Sweden. Kellerman has also worked as an illustrator for other works.

This is the 28th collection of the autobiographical, anthropomorphic comic strips of Martin Kellerman, and it is, incredibly enough, still highly entertaining. I get many books to review, but a new collection of Rocky always works itself quickly to the top.

Granted that the pace has slowed down a bit as Kellerman gets older. There are less frivolous parties and more easy going evenings in the countryside; less anxiety ridden affairs of the heart and more heart to heart with his old male friends. But there is still really funny dialogue and some sort of forward motion in this life on display.

Kellerman är en mästare på att slå tummen på spiken, träffa bullseye, ja ni fattar. :) Han gör två saker: antingen sätter han exakta ord på hur man själv tänker, eller så börjar man själv tänka efter hans ord.

Rocky pinnar på år efter år och falnar aldrig.
