A Self-Help Book That Refuses to Babysit You

This book doesn’t promise to ‘fix’ you. Instead, it calls out the illusions you’ve been hiding behind and challenges you to confront the truth about your own life.

Stop Chasing Success, Start Asking Better Questions

Why does happiness always feel just out of reach? Why do we collect achievements but still feel empty? The book forces readers to rethink the very idea of success.

A Wake-Up Call Disguised as Self-Help

Rather than offering comforting clichés, the book pushes readers to ask uncomfortable Are you truly living—or merely surviving?

Brutally Honest, Deeply Relatable

With irreverent humour and sharp observations, Shailendra Singh dismantles the polite lies we tell ourselves about happiness, ambition, and self-worth.

Interactive and Uncomfortably Insightful

Through bold fill-in-the-blank exercises and reflective prompts, the book makes readers confront their own excuses, habits, and hidden fears.

Because No One Is Coming to Save You

The central message is simple and self-help works only when you help yourself. This book hands you the mirror—you must do the work.

What I thought was a book with an attractive red cover turned out to be an amazing self-help journal. Contrary to its name, this is not a conventional self-help book; it is a playbook for finding clarity, purpose, and direction in life. In the hustle and bustle of life, most of us struggle with our identities and seek deeper meaning in our lives.

I love the book's red cover, which symbolises passion and inspiration to become a better version of oneself.

The book has inspiring quotes which prompt you to find a deeper meaning of existence. Through thought-provoking questions like 'List your confusions', Is that the person you are today? ' and exercises which require you to answer them with honesty, the book inspires readers to pause and reflect on their lives so far.

By the time you are through with the last chapter, you will definitely be pondering over your life so far and think of how you can make your life better, even one step at a time. Highly recommended for journal lovers and readers alike.

It encourages readers to reject societal expectations and distractions, emphasizing that true freedom and happiness come from within. The journal promotes self-love, vulnerability, resilience, and authenticity, challenging beliefs about success and identity. It reframes success as a mindset and views failure as crucial for growth. The book also advocates for environmental consciousness and personal growth through interactive exercises and prompts, ultimately inspiring readers to embrace their journey with authenticity and purpose.
