Another short snippet introducing a character in the new series by Lizzy Ford, a modern Greek Gods/mythology type story. I really like these short stories and these characters though, Mismatch the gargoyle is so far my favorite character. To help Phoibe, Lantos, the demigod goes off to find Mismatch. Lantos has his own agenda, contrary to the well being of the other characters, which made me mad. Theodosia is the newly introduced character. There are four more short story prequels introducing the characters before the release of Omega. 5 stars.

Annnnd... Boom. There we go. Things have taken a turn that make me FEAR for both Alessandra and Phoibe. While I can't say I approve of Lantos's actions, I get them. I think those actions will have some long-reaching consequences and I can see it blowing up spectacularly in his face, but I get them.

Good gravy, how long do we have to wait until the next installments are out? *gives everyone the crazy eyes*

WoW!!! This is getting good. I couldn't wait to read Lantos (Book Four in the Omega Beginnings) mini-series to see what happens to next in the Omega saga. In this story, we get to know Lantos, who we last learned was helping Phoibe. Lantos is in a mission for his father and wants so much to earn his father's love and acceptance. But his human side is compassionate and wants to save Phoibe despites what his father wants. Lantos has abilities that can go into the mind and sees the memories of a persons past and decides to use this against Mismatch, who he stubbles upon.

I think Lantos feels that he is doing right to please his father, but I'm sure as this story unfolds we will see Lantos in a different light, whether good or bad, who knows.

Lizzy Ford has created such a unique storyline, that I can't wait to read the Omega. I enjoy how she is giving the reader the background to the characters within this mini-series.

I would highly recommend this mini-series to anyone who loves paranormal or Greek mythology as this is one of her best works ever.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The Boy Who Shouldn't Be

This series must be read in order. The first book is Alessandra. The second book is Mismatch. The third book is Phoibe. This is the fourth book. I can't wait to read Theodocia!

Lantos is the demigod son of a Titan. Looked down upon by Gods and Humans alike is not a good way to live. His father has promised him a place among the Titans if he proves himself worthy... Too bad his Human compassion keeps getting in the way! He cares for Phoibe and feels the need to save her, help her, protect her. They are friends after all. Will he be able to find Mismatch in time to help Phoibe? Will he ever gain his father's acceptance and praise? Can he fulfil his mission without compromising himself or Phoibe? Will he finally earn his place among the Titans?

***This series is suitable for young adult through adult readers who enjoy paranormal in their modern fantasy suspense thrillers filled with the Old Gods and a bit of scifi :)

I really love these short stories. This idea of finding out more of the back story of the characters first before diving into the big back story is a fantastic idea. I wasn't sure about Lantos at first when he was introduced in the last book and I still don't know how I feel about him. He really wants his fathers approval which is great but can also really hinder his ability to make sure he is protecting the right people. You see in this one that he will do whatever he can to get that approval. I hope he does end up doing the right thing but I fear he might end up making a mistake and costing something in the future. I really cannot wait for Omega. These short stories are driving me crazy to get that book.

I could not wait to read this one after we learned a little about Lantos in Phoibe's book. I was anxious to learn more about him and try and figure out what his role was in all of this. You really get a feel of the internal struggles he is facing. He only seeks the love an acceptance of his father. A decision he makes to help someone comes at the cost of disobeying his father's wishes. I feel there is still more to him and I like him- even though I am not sure who to trust. That being said I am loving this band of Misfits that all seem to have their roles to play. I can't wait for the next one, and when Omega comes out, I can't wait to see how all these choices up to this point have shaped the direction of the story.

I received this for an honest review.

I really liked this short story. I think if Lantos hadn't been introduced this way, he'd be a lot less likable in the main series. Because you get to know his background and understand his POV, although his actions are definitely questionable, he is a much more complex character and not just a 'bad guy'.
The more characters that are introduced, the more I'm looking forward to the main series. I won't lie though, the snippet at the end has made me even more impatient.
I can't wait to read the rest of the shorts as I like getting their backgrounds and understanding a bit more about the world we're going to be introduced to in the main series.

Oh Lantos! Why??? Why did you have to do that to Mismatch??? Of course the story got even better if that is even possible, darn I can't wait for Theodosia, need it NOW!!!
We definitely got to know a whole lot about Lantos, we now know who he is and we know why he is doing what he is doing but am I happy about it? I don't know... I am a bit conflicted, I still love him tho but he is going to have to do something good to redeem himself because I'm not too happy about Mismatch :-/
I really can't wait for more, this story is super awesome!!!
Recommend to read the series in order.

We get another look at another important character in this series. This is an interesting character to find out about because we only see him in the previous short stories as a shadow. We get to learn why he does what he does and we also get to see what happens to Mismatch after he falls. All of these characters are unique and interesting. Finding out the back story of all these characters will help to understand Omega better when it comes out.

In this next novelette in the omega miniseries, we begin to learn more about Lantos, Phoeibe's demi-god friend. In a lifelong desire to be accepted by his Titan father, Lantos struggles to complete the tasks his father gives him, because they go against his human compassion. When he meets up with Mismatch however, he learns some secrets that will make him question which side he will align himself to: God's or mankind.

I really liked this story. In this short story we meet Lantos and we find that he is a Demigod son of a Titan. We learned that he was sent to spy on Phoibe and she to assess her strengths and possibly even to kill her. We also find that Lantos actually cares for her and is trying to help her. He finds Mismatch and wipes his memory's away. I can't wait to see what happens in the next short story :)

I can not wait to read Omega! Lantos has brought a bit more mystery to the table in this book. I can't wait to find out if Lantos decides to do what is right, or do what his father wants for his father's acceptance. And the preview of Omega in it so amazing I can't wait till it is released and I can find out the whole story!
Once again, Lizzy has me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next books!

Poor Lantos. Now we know the story of the sad little demigod. Always wanting to do the right thing but vowing to do the bad things for the father he so desperately wants approval from. We are also reunited with Mismatch and Mrs.Nettles and introduced to a new character by the name of Theodosia.

I highly recommend these short stories introducing us to characters we will read about in Lizzie Ford's Omega series. Absolutely fantastic!

Lantos (#4, Omega Beginnings Miniseries) by Lizzy Ford
5 stars

With every new installment of this miniseries I am enjoying learning about a new character. Lantos's roll in this grand scheme of this entire story is going to be interesting to see unfold. This introduction to him is laced with lots of possibilities both good and bad for how he will act time moves forward. I look forward to seeing what his role will end up being.

Lantos is the fourth episode in the Omega Beginnings Miniseries by Lizzy Ford. Lantos is a terrifically written character who is a demigod desparate to please his father. I love that the circle is beginning to come around to rescue the characters that we have already met. This story line is absorbing and the characters are very deep. It is one of the reasons I love that each miniseries digs deeper into each new character.

Lantos became a more significant character in the last book in this series but this segment gives him a lot more depth. We learn about where his motives sit and how conflicted he is with them. His objectives are clear, but his ability to reach them is the dilemma.

It is so awesome to watch this story unfold. I cannot wait for more!

In this book we witness very interesting turn out of events... I expected Lantos to be one of the key figures in the upcoming series but I never would have imagined to find him in the position of the great mastermind. This makes me more excited about the series... Can't wait for more...

* I got this for my honest review*

I’m loving these short stories that are introducing us to the characters and their background for the soon to come Omega series.

I found Lantos interesting as much as he wants to protect Princess Phoibe he also wants his fathers approval ( The Titan of the Unseen). His father finds Lantos human side disgraceful but Lantos can not help but care for Phoibe and humans.

I’m a little irritated that as much as I like Lantos he has his own agenda and he is going to put others and risk to accomplish it and what he did to Mismatch I found rather reprehensible but how far will he go for the love of his father and to be considered a part of his fathers family? I’m hoping the human side of him lashes out.

At the end we get introduced to Theodosia who has her own complication and Lantos is tasked with taking her to where she needs to be and protecting her.

Looking forward to the rest of these short story character introductions.

I have enjoyed reading each characters background story and seeing how they all make an impact on the story. However, in this particular book I was left even more confused as to what was happening in the world of Greek Gods, Priests and Humans. Maybe I just need to read them all together again, but it would have helped if the way the world works was outlined from the start. The whole Titans vs the Gods thing confused me a bit in this book. The sneak peak into the first few chapters of the Omegas book helped me to understand a bit more, but left me with many questions about the other characters and what happened to them, so I am looking forward to seeing where the series goes. As always Lizzy has an incredible imagination and capturing writing style.

I have enjoyed this series from the moment I started it and this short story is no different. The thing I enjoy the most is that you end up loving the main characters in each book and Lizzy gives you just enough of the next character to keep you interested and wanting the next story. These short stories have so much going on in them and just when you think you know where the characters loyalty lies you're blindsided. The only thing I dislike about this series is that I'm always left wanting more and I have to wait. However, I can't wait to see how everything and everyone comes together.

Well hell. Now I'm not sure how I feel about Lantos. I liked him before reading this, and it isn't to say that I dislike him, but the choices he makes in this short serial left me disappointed in him. I've never quite understood anyone with daddy issues. I didn't want to disappoint my dad either, but that doesn't mean I would do something wrong just to appease him. I still think he can be redeemed and given his determination to still look out for Phoibe shows this, but kind of hard to overlook what he did to Mismatch too.

I still love these snippets into each character, but really, really want the full story too.

Book four in a the Omega Beginnings miniseries. This book gives you a better look into the character Lantos. He's trying to help Phoibe yet at the same time trying to do as his father asks. At times he has his own agenda. So I'm not sure what side he is actually on. We also learn what happened to Mismatch.

Each of the books in a miniseries build you up for the main series. Each one gives you a glimpse into the characters and what parts they are playing. Yet each book opens up new questions and mysteries. So far I have enjoyed all four books. I'm looking forward to this series being released.

Again I'm left amazed by this truly magical story that Lizzy has created, she really knows how to draw you into her magical world she creates inside her head. I could just live in Lizzy Land for the rest of my book days, and I would be one happy lady.

This short instalment introducing us to a new characterI Lanto's , Is set to help Phoibe, Lantos, who is a demigod goes off to find Mismatch. Lantos does have his own agenda, which I don't think he the interested in the other characters safety, I do hope this changes as the story unfolds.
So this leaves me to say I'm off to read the next instalment in this exciting series.
